Abstract

The existence of private madrasas in the era of capitalization of education with the input of students from marginal and abangan communities with lower economic conditions is indeed a challenge for madrasa managers. This research was conducted at MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen (MTs MK) and aimed at uncovering the factors that become the strengths of madrasas so that madrasas continue to exist and continue to develop even with marginal and abangan backgrounds. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach—data collection using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The study results show that the strength factors of MTs MK in the era of educational capitalization are spiritual capital, cultural capital, and social capital, which have implications for economic capital.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the improvement of Islamic religious education learning outcomes for elementary school students by applying the Talking Stick learning model. A Achieving the target of learning is the main goal of an educator to his students. In fact, there are not a few educators who have not fully implemented how to learn effective and fun and still stick only with classical methods. There are quite a few choices of learning models, one of which is the Talking Stick. This research was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review method which was carried out by reviewing, analysing, and drawing conclusions based on relevant articles that were screened and selected systematically. In this study, we will discuss efforts to improve elementary school student learning outcomes by applying the Talking Stick learning model. Learning outcomes by applying the Talking Stick learning model, namely, the experimental class with the Talking Stick model immediately showed significant differences in learning outcomes in the first cycle compared to before the implementation of Talking Stick. Several other studies on the implementation of the Talking Stick model were carried out for 2 to 3 cycles and then there was a significant difference in results from before the implementation of the Talking Stick learning model.

Abstract

Dewasa ini bermunculan kasus bunuh diri di kalangan remaja pelajar. Kasus bermula dikarenakan terjadi gangguan kesehatan mental dalam diri seorang individu. Melemahnya kesehatan mental merupakan indikasi menumpulnya kecerdasan daya juang dalam diri seorang individu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kepustakaan, yang memanfaatkan literatur relevan dalam mengumpulkan data dan menjawab rumusan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan daya juang beserta model dalam nilai pendidikan karakter pada Pendidikan Islam meliputi: Pemberian dukungan dan bimbingan dengan mengajarkan kesabaran, keikhlasan, dan kasih sayang; Membangun ketahanan mental dengan Panca jiwa (Ikhlas, sederhana, jiwa berdikari, jiwa ukhuwah diniyah, jiwa bebas); Pengembangkan kesadaran diri melalui muraqabah, zikir, dan ta'abbudi; Dorongan pemecahan masalah melalui ajaran ikhtiar dan tawakal; Mendorong pengalaman nyata dengan hidup berdasarkan ajaran Islam; Mendorong refleksi dan pembelajaran dengan ajaran bermuhasabah. Mengusung konsep tersebut, Pendidikan Islam mengajarkan sikap seorang muslim untuk berlaku hidup dengan penuh penghambaan kepada Allah SWT, karena segala sesuatu merupakan kehendak Allah, sehingga segala perkara dalam kehidupan seorang muslim tinggal menjalani berdasarkan versi tiap individu seorang muslim dengan sebaik mungkin, sebagaimana kemampuan bersabar, optimis, dan pantang menyerah.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find a step solution for how to manage classes based on gender while still optimizing the character of the brain. This research method uses a qualitative approach. The results of this research are the differentiation of male and female brains in general in the corpus callosum and Broca-Wernicke's area. This causes women to be more able to carry out several tasks at one time and women are better able to control their emotions. In addition, women also have better language skills, as reflected in the large number of vocabulary products. In Islamic educational institutions, the segregation of classes based on gender is a rule based on religion. In Islam men and women. And it was found that class separation based on gender had the following positive impacts: first, students were more focused. Second, growing awareness that there are boundaries with the opposite sex. Third, increasing learning outcomes.The results of this study have implications for educators to take attitudes and steps in class management by paying attention to existing characters and potential.

Abstract

This article aims to investigate and elaborate on key concepts in Islamic psychology, focusing on fithrah (nature), aql (intellect), nafs (self), and qalb (heart). As a primary concern, this research seeks to understand the interconnection between these four concepts and how their influence shapes human behavior and spiritual growth in the context of Islam. The research methodology involved an in-depth literature analysis of Islamic theological and philosophical sources. This approach allows researchers to explore the roots of thought and scholars' interpretations of fithrah, aql, nafs and qalb. Furthermore, this approach provides insight into how these concepts are applied in everyday life, especially in the context of education and personal development. The research findings indicate that fithrah, as inherent to human nature, plays a crucial role in guiding individuals toward spiritual and moral awareness. Aql, as a gift from Allah, grants humans the ability to think and understand, paving the way for the pursuit of knowledge and understanding of God. Nafs, as the internal dimension of humans, play a central role in self-development, understanding emotions, and maintaining a balance between worldly desires and spiritual aspirations. Qalb, or the heart, is considered the center of spirituality and moral values, requiring care to remain pure and draw closer to Allah. This article explores the implications of Islamic psychology concepts in the context of education and personal development. This research can serve as a foundation for the development of sustainable psychological approaches to holistically explore human potential, creating a balance between physical and spiritual dimensions. The final conclusion emphasizes the importance of integrating fithrah, aql, nafs, and qalb to shape a balanced and responsible human personality from an Islamic perspective.

Abstract

The emergence of a differentiated learning at Aisyiyah Superior Elementary School is motivated by the implementation of learning in elementary schools that has not shown effectiveness in appreciating the diversity and potential of students. The purpose of this study is to develop a differentiated learning model that is in accordance with the Independent Curriculum pattern and identify various factors that can affect the effectiveness of the implementation of the differentiated learning model in order to increase students' understanding material at Aisyiyah Superior Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative type of research. The results of this study develop a differentiated learning. Lessons by integrating the diversity and potential of students in the Independent Curriculum. Differentiated subjects with the Independent Curriculum pattern at Aisyiah Superior Elementary School Bantul went well, supported by adequate teacher preparation and training even though there were obstacles in understanding students' interests and talents properly. The implication is that this learning is able to accommodate various student potentials but also poses challenges for teachers in applying varied methods and switching from a teacher-centered to a student-centered approach.

Abstract

This research examines Imam Al-Ghazali's thoughts on social pathology in the book Ihya Ulumuddin and its relevance to the contemporary social context. Using a qualitative approach and library research methods, this research analyzes the concept of social pathology according to Al-Ghazali, identifies the forms of social pathology he discusses, and explores the solutions he offers. The research results show that Al-Ghazali views social pathology as a deviation from Islamic moral and spiritual norms. He emphasized the importance of developing morals and spirituality as the main solution, with key concepts such as mahabbah (love), sincerity, khauf and raja' (fear and hope), tawakkal, gratitude, muraqabah (self-introspection), and repentance. This research finds that Al-Ghazali's thoughts are still relevant in dealing with contemporary social pathology, with an emphasis on strengthening spiritual and moral values ​​in the lives of individuals and society. The implication of this research is the need to integrate spiritual-moral perspectives in efforts to overcome social problems in the modern era.

Abstract

Manusia adalah makhluk sosial yang kompleks, dan perilaku mereka dipengaruhi oleh interaksi dengan lingkungan sosial mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana nilai-nilai, norma, dan tradisi budaya memengaruhi perilaku manusia dalam konteks sosial tertentu. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini akan membantu dalam mengeksplorasi perbedaan dan kesamaan dalam tingkah laku manusia di berbagai kelompok budaya,  memahami bagaimana interaksi antarindividu dan kelompok mempengaruhi pembentukan dan ekspresi perilaku manusia. Penelitian ini juga dapat menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mixed-methods), menggabungkan elemen kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang cocok untuk penelitian ini termasuk observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi-struktural, dan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku manusia dalam konteks sosial sangat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk budaya, norma, dan interaksi antarindividu. Penemuan ini juga menyoroti adanya variasi dalam perilaku manusia di berbagai konteks sosial, yang dapat dijelaskan oleh faktor-faktor seperti perbedaan budaya dan norma sosial. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa manusia cenderung untuk mengikuti norma-norma sosial yang ada dalam lingkungan mereka, namun juga dapat mempengaruhi dan mengubah norma-norma tersebut melalui interaksi sosial.Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya adaptasi dalam konteks sosial. Individu menunjukkan kemampuan untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sosial mereka, baik melalui penyesuaian diri terhadap norma yang ada atau dengan menciptakan perubahan sosial yang baru.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Islamic educational values into the empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises at Masjid Jogokariyan and examines its relevance to mosque prosperity. Recognizing the mosque as a central institution in Islamic civilization—not only spiritually but also socially and economically—this research seeks to understand how values such as honesty, trust, responsibility, independence, and cooperation are internalized within community-based economic development. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through interviews, participant observation, and document analysis to uncover the lived experiences of mosque leaders and local entrepreneurs. The findings reveal that Masjid Jogokariyan has effectively cultivated an Islamic ethical business culture by embedding spiritual teachings into practical training, promoting transparent financial management, and encouraging inclusive participation through community-driven leadership models. The mosque utilizes structured initiatives such as value-based mentoring, interest-free loan schemes, and “Business Qur’an Circles” to enhance both personal development and economic resilience among participants. These efforts have not only improved the livelihood of local residents but also strengthened congregational engagement, with a significant rise in mosque attendance and communal trust. The empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises has thus become a catalyst for broader mosque prosperity, affirming its role as a dynamic center of learning, service, and transformation. This research underscores the importance of reviving mosque-based Islamic education as a foundation for sustainable community empowerment in contemporary Muslim societies.

Abstract

The Impact of a Spiritual Well-Being program on Preventing Quarter Life Crisis in Association Muhammadiyah Thailand Students. Objective: This program aims to provide preventive action in the form of spiritual well-being training to prevent Quarter Life Crisis among students in the Muhammadiyah Association of Thailand. Method: The quantitative research method approach with an experimental design of one group pretest and posttest design. This study was attended by 41 students of the Muhammadiyah Association of Thailand from the Faculty of Education, Fatoni University, Thailand. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling technique. Findings: The results of the independent sample t-test analysis showed a t-value of -5.583 with a degree of freedom (df) of 40, indicating a very significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results. The significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 is less than 0.05 after the implementation of this training. This shows that the program is effective in reducing the level of quarter-life crisis in Thai Muslim students. This finding supports the theory that spiritual well-being helps individuals face life crises more meaningfully. This program strengthens the meaning of life, self-reflection, and Islamic values, which have been shown to increase resilience and inner peace. Conclusion: This program offers substantial advantages, including the enhancement of students' inner well-being, the reduction of tension, and the assistance in identifying the purpose of life and making informed decisions during the transition to early adulthood. These results have the potential to serve as a preventative measure for the quarter-life crisis. The implications encompass the enhancement of mental resilience, social relationships, and spirituality in the field of education. Despite the presence of challenges such as time constraints and disparities in comprehension, partner support is extremely beneficial. The outcomes of this training are incorporated into the learning process and will be implemented as a consistent program in order to provide students with the support they need to confront life's obstacles from a spiritual perspective. Keywords: spiritual training, well-being, quarter life crisis, the muhammadiyah association of Thailand.
