Abstract

Abstract

The background of Latin American society in the past who were familiar with the hegemony of power of the bourgeoisie caused concern in the hearts of Christian theologians at the time. This concern finally gave birth to a theological model known as Liberation Theology. Liberation Theology is a praxis-oriented theological model, namely real action for the liberation of marginalized, poor and oppressed people. But the thought of Marxism influenced the concept of Liberation Theology so that the theological model was more like a destructive ideology. Bringing the concept of Liberation Theology to the light of the word of God is the right action for the church today in responding to the Liberation Theology. The aim is to analyze the contents of Liberation Theology, and how should the role of the church address the Liberation Theology, and apply liberation theology in everyday life. The method used is an explanatory qualitative approach to the role of the church in response to Liberation Theology.

Abstract

In a number of ways, the epistle to the Hebrews is a unique letter among the New Testament epistles because of its Jewish nuance and emphasis on the Mosaic Covenant. The author quotes and alludes to Old Testament texts in a variety of ways, which has aroused great interest for many theologians. The theological themes of the letter have also resulted in much study, particularly when one attempts to apply these unique themes to the present-day church. This study focuses on six of these themes (God, Christ, Priest, Covenant, Endurance, and Faith) and their significance for the current church contexts. A text analysis research method is employed to exegete various texts. In accordance with many other studies on the subject, this study also concludes that the epistle to the Hebrews is profoundly Christocentric. Christ is the primary focus in all the letter’s emphases. The writer of Hebrews seeks to explain the superiority of the New Covenant, and how the Old Testament was ultimately focused on and fulfilment through Christ.

Abstract

This paper is the outcome of food products from entrepreneurship lessons. This part becomes fascinating because the essential ingredients of doughnuts are made from purple sweet potato, which substitutes wheat flour. Purple sweet potato provides health benefits. The method is qualitative with an organoleptic test approach for purple doughnut products and a SWOT test to evaluate the product before it is marketed. The availability of raw materials is the strength of this doughnut product. The organoleptic test assessment stands out in the doughnut colour and texture category with a preference level of 95.44% and 90.9%, respectively. This innovation produces doughnuts with the preferred purple filling colour.

Abstract

In addition to being proficient in verbal communication, students must also acquire 21st-century competencies, which encompass creative thinking abilities. Content and Integrated Language Learning (CLIL) is a communication methodology that can be employed to concurrently enhance students' language proficiency and foster their creative cognition. This study investigates the influence of the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) strategy on the speaking and creative thinking abilities of students at IAIN Palopo, located in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. This study employed a quantitative methodology with a quasi-experimental design, encompassing 51 first-semester students enrolled in Indonesian language classes. The collection of data involved the utilisation of speaking tests, speaking assessment rubrics, and creative thinking skills examinations. Following data collection, the researchers conducted quantitative analysis using SPSS 25.00. They employed the one-way MANOVA and one-way MANCOVA tests for this purpose. The results showed that the CLIL approach had a significant effect on improving student's speaking skills and creative thinking skills. These results indicate that the CLIL approach can be used as a choice for teachers to develop students' speaking and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

The main issue of education in the last few decades is the efforts and solutions in improving the quality of teaching and learning. In this case, the teacher’s steps are to conduct classroom action research, which is a form of a bottom-up approach in improving the quality of education. This action research introduces active reconnecting learning strategies for increasing student interest and learning activities. The CAR design includes three stages, namely the pre-cycle, cycle 1, and Cycle 2. Some of the instruments used in this study are checklist observation sheets, questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests, which are then analyzed using quantitative approaches. The results showed that this strategy was proven to improve student learning outcomes, interests, and activeness. Student learning interest increased from 59.35 to 65.5 in cycle 1 and 80.5 in cycle 2. Likewise, student learning activeness observations increased with the highest percentage on one indicator from 25% (pre-cycle) to 80% and 90% (cycle 1 and 2). Student learning outcomes have also increased from an average grade of 60 in the pre-cycle phase to 74.25 (cycle 1). And it rose again to 80 in cycle 2.
