Abstract

Kata kunci: asesmen digital; HOTS; guru ekonomi SMA Kota Surabaya; pelatihan ABSTRACTThe use of technology in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 cannot be fully anticipated by high school economics teachers throughout the city of Surabaya. This has an impact on the implementation of the independent curriculum assessment which is not yet optimal. Economics teachers in the city of Surabaya still use many paper-based test instruments and LOTS (Lower Order Thinking Skills). To improve current relevant learning outcome assessment skills, namely by using HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills) question instruments and digital assessments, it is necessary to hold training on developing HOTS-based digital assessments in the independent curriculum. Through a series of training ranging from material presentation, mentoring to drafting digital assessment, as many as 76% of participants stated that they strongly agreed that training activities provided benefits for participants. Then, as many as 83% of participants stated that they strongly agreed that the training could increase knowledge regarding HOTS-based independent curriculum assessments. Meanwhile, 94% of participants strongly agreed that training could improve skills in making digital assessments. So it can be concluded that training activities are able to increase participants' knowledge and skills in preparing HOTS-based digital assessments. The participants expect continuous training such as training on preparing AKM (Minimum Competency Assessment) questions and digital-based teaching modules in the independent curriculum to improve skills. Keywords: digital assessment; HOTS; economics teachers at Surabaya high school; training

Abstract

The role of parents is very important in supporting motivation, providing facilities, and creating a conducive learning environment at home. The challenges faced include limited internet access, devices, and lack of social interaction and supervision. This study provides an in-depth overview of the dynamics of the role and perceptions of parents in online learning in higher education, and can be a reference for the development of future education policies. This study aims to explore parents' views on distance learning (online) for Economics Education students at Surabaya State University through a phenomenological approach. This study was motivated by changes in the learning system due to the Covid-19 pandemic which encouraged educational institutions to implement online learning as the main alternative. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of ten parents of students, and analyzed using NVivo 12 software. The results of the study show that parents' views on online learning vary, influenced by their level of education, experience, and understanding of technology. Some parents view online learning as a flexible solution and still provide learning opportunities, but are also concerned about the effectiveness, interaction, and understanding of the material. Keywords: Parents' views, Distance learning, Students, Challenges, Phenomenology.

Abstract

Objective: The 2022 PISA scores, which placed Indonesia 69th out of 80 countries and sixth among ASEAN nations, demonstrate that the quality of education in Indonesia still needs to be improved and that equal distribution to several remote areas must be carried out. Improving the quality of education aligns with global goals in SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) because educational enhancement can reduce poverty rates and increase labor productivity. This research aims to analyze the influence of the poverty rate variable (X1) and GRDP (X2) on the average years of schooling in Sleman Regency for the 2015-2024 period. This research type uses a quantitative descriptive approach with secondary data obtained from bps.go.id for Sleman Regency. Method: The data analysis in this study employed a multiple linear regression method (Ordinary Least Squares or OLS) using EViews 12 software. Results: The results indicate that, both simultaneously and partially, the poverty rate does not exert a signify can’t yet positive influence. This can be attributed to the existence of educational assistance and policies from the Sleman Regency government that support underprivileged communities. In contrast, the GRDP variable has a significant and positive effect, both simultaneously and partially. This is because the rate of economic growth encourages individuals to pursue higher levels of education. Therefore, policies focused on poverty reduction and enhancing economic growth are necessary to enable underprivileged communities to access higher education. Novelty: To date, no previous studies have examined the effect of poverty levels and GRDP on average length of schooling. Most other studies have focused on the provincial level, and none have simultaneously examined the variables of poverty levels and GRDP on average length of schooling in Sleman Regency for the period 2015-2024.

Abstract

Objective: This research seeks to examine the relationship between family economic education and the entrepreneurial interest of prospective economics teacher students. Method: This study employs a quantitative regression method with a survey to obtain primary data processed in SPSS. The results of this study found a negative and significant connection in relation to family economic education and the entrepreneurial interest of prospective teacher students at Surabaya State University. Results: The results of this study found a negative and massive relationship between family economic education and the entrepreneurial interest of prospective teacher students at Surabaya State University. This occurs due to the internalisation process and the conservative views of parents regarding the teaching profession that students will pursue. The indication lies in the preparation of all economic aspects for career purposes, rather than focusing on entrepreneurship. Novelty: This study uses a population of prospective economics teachers, which is rarely studied, with a research model related to the latest data. This can broaden the understanding of the broader contextual entrepreneurial interest.
