Abstract

Desa Bangket Parak di Kecamatan Pujut, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, memiliki potensi besar dalam pemanfaatan limbah sekam padi yang melimpah. Mayoritas penduduknya bekerja sebagai petani, menghasilkan limbah sekam padi yang belum termanfaatkan dengan baik. Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) ini bertujuan untuk mengolah limbah sekam padi menjadi briket sebagai upaya meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat desa. Dalam kegiatan ini, penulis menggunakan metode sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Kegiatan ini mendapat respon positif dari masyarakat, tidak hanya memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan baru, tetapi juga membuka peluang ekonomi baru dan meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan. Dengan dukungan yang terus berlanjut, diharapkan produksi briket dari sekam padi dapat menjadi salah satu sumber penghasilan bagi masyarakat desa serta berkontribusi pada pelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

Kawasan Hutan Puncak Jeringo Blok Pemanfaatan KPH Rinjani Timur memiliki potensi keanekaragaman hayati yang cukup tinggi, salah satunya adalah Monyet Ekor Panjang (Macaca fascicularis). Monyet Ekor Panjang adalah salah satu primata yang memiliki wilayah penyebaran yang sangat luas khususnya di Indonesia. Dalam daftar spesies Redlist menurut IUCN, status (Macaca fascicularis) masuk kedalam kategori Endangered atau terancam punah. Metode pencatatan pakan menggunakan kaidah Focal Animal Sampling. Preferensi pohon pakan menggunakan metode garis berpetak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa komposisi pohon pakan Monyet Ekor Panjang (Macaca fascicularis) di Kawasan Hutan Puncak Jeringo Blok Pemanfaatan KPH Rinjani Timur berjumlah 7 jenis pohon, yaitu Ketimus (Protium javanicumburm), Ara (Ficus carica), Nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllu), Cermai (phyllanthusacidus), Mangga (Mangifera indica), Bune (Antidesmabunius), dan Goak (Ficus variegeta).

Abstract

Tahura is a nature conservation area with a purpose to collecting natural or non-native plants and or animals, native and or non-native species, which are utilized for research, science, education, supporting cultivation, culture, tourism and recreation. As a conservation area whose territory is directly adjacent to the community, Nuraksa Forest Park is a source of economy and life for the surrounding community so that it can be said that there is community dependence on land in the area. This is a challenge in managing the area. In an effort to provide management direction so that the functions and benefits that have been regulated in the legislation and the achievement of the goals that have been formulated can be achieved, the perceived need for activities to identify problems and management strategies of Nuraksa Forest Park. The research was carried out through a series of activities, which consisted of literature studies, interviews and field surveys. The results of the SWOT analysis of the management of Nuraksa Forest Park are in quadrant III. This shows that Nuraksa Forest Park faces enormous opportunities, but on the other hand faces several internal obstacles / weaknesses. The strategy that must be implemented is to minimize the internal problems of the institution so that it can seize better opportunities.

Abstract

One of the main tourist destinations in NTB Province currently is the Mandalika area, part of the Central Lombok region. This area is designated a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) based on PP Number 52 of 2014. Tourist visits increased drastically at the 2021 World Superbike (WSBK) event, and it is assumed that this will grow at the upcoming 2022 MotoGP event. An increase in the number of tourists has a positive and negative impact on the environment, along with increasing waste production. This research analyzed waste generation, composition, and effective waste management in the Mandalika SEZ. Analysis of waste production and composition will be carried out by referring to SNI 19-3964-1994 regarding methods for collecting and measuring samples of urban waste production and composition while analyzing waste management in the Mandalika SEZ, which was carried out by interview. The research results show that the average waste production in the Mandalika SEZ is 58.16 kg/Day. The most dominant waste composition is organic waste originating from food scraps, with an average of 39.56 kg/day, followed by the amount of plastic waste with an average of 16.41 kg/day. The smallest amount of waste at the research location is paper waste, with an average of 0.48 kg/day, and other waste is used diapers, with an average of 1.71 kg/day. The Waste Management Model shows that the average waste produced at the research location is 58.16 kg in one day. As a result of the indicators of waste production, in just one month, the waste production reached 1744.80 kg/day if it was not handled at all. Based on the research results, waste management modeling was produced by increasing public awareness, organic waste management using the Anaerobic Digestion Method and inorganic waste management using the recycling method. This modeling shows that the method applied can reduce waste production by up to 0.15%, namely 263.10 kg/day.

Abstract

Satonda Island, which is located in Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, is a habitat for long-tailed monkeys. This research aims to determine the type of food and eating behavior of long-tailed monkeys in the utilization zone of Satonda Island. The method used in this research isFocal animal sampling with the alpha long-tailed monkey as the research object. The results of the research show that there are 8 types of food sources for long-tailed monkeys in the utilization zone of Satonda Island, Moyo Satonda National Park, consisting of figs (fig tree), sour (Tamarindus indica), offerings (Lannea coromandelica), ivory coconut (Cocoa nuts), cherries (Muntingia calabura), ketapang (Terminalia catappa), lantana (Lantana montevidensis), and hibiscus (China rose). Acid is the most consumed feed with a percentage of 22.67%. The most eaten part is fruit with a percentage of 42%. Meanwhile, the eating behavior of long-tailed monkeys that appears most often is chewing with a percentage of 30.7%, and swallowing behavior is the least common eating behavior with a percentage of 20.4% in observations of eating behavior Keywords: Types of food, long-tailed monkeys, feeding behavior, Satonda Island.

Abstract

Jalur pendakian Kawinda To’i Taman Nasional Tambora menyimpan potensi sebagai habitat monyet ekor panjang. Menurut IUCN (2022) spesies monyet ekor panjang (Macaca Fascicularis) dinilai masuk kedalam daftar merah yang terancam punah. Tujuan penelitian yaitu, pertama untuk mengetahui preferensi pakan monyet ekor panjang di Jalur Pendakian Kawinda To’i Taman Nasional Tambora, kedua menganalisis struktur vegetasi pohon pakan monyet ekor panjang di Jalur Pendakian Kawinda To’i Taman Nasional Tambora. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengetahui preferensi pakan yaitu metode line transect, untuk mengetahui potensi pohon pakannya digunakan metode garis berpetak dengan jumlah petak menggunakan kaidah minimum spesies area. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dan kuantitatif, data vegetasi dianalisis untuk mengetahui kerapatan, frekuensi, dominansi dan INP. Terdapat 2 jalur pengamatan dengan 9 jenis pohon pakan dengan jenis preferensi pakan yaitu jenis karau, dengan nilai kerapatan relatif vegetasi dari 0 hingga 65,79%, frekuensi relatif mulai dari 0 hingga 65,79%, dominansi relatif 0 hingga 70,93% dan INP mulai dari 0 hingga 202,51%.

Abstract

Self monitoring merupakan sebuah program aplikasi berplatform Android yang dirancang untuk masyarakat, sehingga masyarakat dapat melakukan pencatatan secara mandiri data kehadiran penyu di wilayahnya. Tujuan dilaksanakannya kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah: (1). Menyediakan fasilitas berupa aplikasi self monitoring penyu kepada masyarakat (2). Memberikan penyuluhan mengenai metode self monitoring dalam mendukung upaya pelestarian penyu. Metode pengabdian terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu pra kegiatan (persiapan, konsolidasi tim, observasi lapangan), tahap perancangan aplikasi, tahap praktik dan penyusunan laporan. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari kegiatan penyuluhan ini adalah (1). Peserta mendapatkan alternatif baru dalam melakukan pencatatan aktivitas penyu bertelur menggunakan aplikasi Self monitoring. (2). Penyuluhan Self monitoring dalam mendukung upaya pelestarian penyu berjalan dengan baik sesuai tujuan yang ditetapkan.

Abstract

Desa Aik Berik memiliki beberapa lokasi obyek wisata antara lain, Air Terjun Benang Stukel dan Air Terjun Benang Kelambu. Selain itu, kawasan hutan di Desa Aik Berik juga menyajikan landscape yang menawan, dan sungai yang mengalir sepanjang tahun. BUMDes Grand Rinjani dibentuk tahun 2016. Selain beberapa faktor pendukung dan potensi yang dimiliki, saat ini ditemui beberapa permasalahan dalam mewujudkan tata kelola BUMDes yang baik. Tujuan kegiatan adalah melakukan penguatan kelembagaan BUMDes untuk meningkatkan tata kelola ekowisata dalam mendayagunakan potensi ekowisata lebih bernilai, secara sosial, ekonomi dan lingkungan melalui: 1) Memfasilitasi pengurus BUMDes Grand Rinjani untuk menerapkan sistem pengelolaan ekowisata dengan mendasarkan prinsip kolaboratif dan akuntabel, 2). Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengurus BUMDes dalam menerapkan pengelolaan ekowisata secara lestari dan berkelanjutan. Pendekatan kegiatan menggunakan metode partisipasi aktif, yaitu melibatkan pengurus BUMDes Grand Rinjani, dalam proses-proses kegiatan yang diselenggarakan oleh tim pengabdian. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2019 di Café BUMDes, dan diikuti oleh 17 orang peserta. Hasil pertemuan dapat disimpulkan bahwa, pengurus BUMDes merencanakan untuk menerapkan sistem manajemen yang terintegrasi antara BUMDes – Masyarakat dan Pemerintah Desa dalam pembagian peran untuk mengelola obyek-obyek wisata seperti pengelolaan akomodasi dan penyediaan pemandu wisata. Pengurus BUMDes akan menindaklanjuti rumusan perencanaan yang lebih kongkrit dengan melakukan pertemuan antara pengurus dengan masyarakat dan perangkat desa dalam merumuskan perencanaan sebagaimana dimaksud.

Abstract

Abstract Oriental pied hornbill (Anthracoceros albirostris) is a protected species based on Law No. 5 of 1990 on Conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystems and Government Regulation No. 7 of 1999 concerning Preservation Plants and Animals. One area that is identified as habitat of oriental pied hornbill (Anthracoceros albirostris) in Java is in Utilization Zone of Bama Resort Baluran National Park. This study aims to determine the structure and composition of the constituent elements of habitat used by oriental pied hornbill (Anthracoceros albirostris) in Utilization Zone of Bama Resort Baluran National Park. Data collection methods include, literature review, interviews and observation. Data collected coversbiotic and abiotic components and vegetation. The method employed in this research is IPA method (Indeces Ponctuele del'Abondance) for the determination of the existence of Oriental pied hornbill (Anthracoceros albirostris), and employed a single plot method to observe the vegetation. The results show that the total trees used by oriental pied hornbill (Anthracoceros albirostris) is 14 species, consisting of ten species for cover, six species for food, two species for perches, one species for rest, and no trees were found for nesting. Trees with the highest usage frequency is gondang (Ficus variegata) usedas feed tree with adiameter of 92 cm, height of 25 m, and crown cover of 18,80 m2, with daily temperatures ranged from 29,48°C to 29,79°C, average daily humidity from 84,57% to 85,10% and light intensity from 0,7 lux to 4.460 lux. The species with the highest Importance Value Index is gebang (Corypha utans) witha value of 157,70.

Abstract

Spangled Ebony Langur and Long-tailed Monkey are species of wild animals that have special characteristics, namely having mammary glands, reproducing by giving birth, their bodies covered with fur or hair, and breathing with their lungs. The IUCN has designated the Spangled Ebony Langur species as vulnerable and the Long-tailed Monkey as an endangered species. To prevent this shortage, important and urgent conservation efforts are needed to save these two species. These two primate species were detected using the same habitat in Kerandangan Nature Tourism Park so there is overlap (cohabitation) in this area. This research aims to analyze patterns of habitat use and space use in Spangled Ebony Langur and Long-tailed Monkey as well as analyzing cohabitation between Spangled Ebony Langur and Long-tailed Monkey in Kerandangan Nature Tourism Park. This research uses the roaming method for habitat use and minimum convex polygon for space use. The results of the research show that there is cohabitation between Spangled Ebony Langur and Long-tailed Monkey, the use pattern for food trees has an association value of 0.12, sleeping trees 0.07, and resting trees 0.08. With an overlap in home ranges in the first and second areas of 0.07 and 0.06, in territorial areas in the first and second areas of 0.08, and in core areas in the first and second areas of 0.1 and 0.09. Using vertical space, the results obtained were 0.22. It can be concluded that habitat use and space use as well as cohabitation between the two primates in Kerandangan Nature Tourism Park are low.
