Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of coding and artificial intelligence (AI) integration in Indonesian high schools by comparing urban and rural schools. The background of this study is the demands of 21st-century digital literacy, which places coding and AI as essential skills for the younger generation. The research method used a case study with a qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and document analysis in two representative high schools. The results show that urban schools are better prepared to integrate coding and AI thanks to adequate infrastructure, stable internet access, and trained teachers. In contrast, rural schools face limited facilities, weak internet connections, and a lack of competent human resources. However, teacher creativity and local community support play a crucial role in bringing digital innovation to students. This study confirms that the success of coding and AI integration is determined not only by technology, but also by educational policies, teacher capacity building, and adaptation of learning strategies to the school context. These findings can provide input for policymakers in promoting equitable digital education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia is continuously evolving through curriculum development based on the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI). One of the latest initiatives is the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), introduced in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and centred on the concept of Merdeka Belajar (Independent Learning). However, implementing the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Curriculum in Theological Colleges (Sekolah Tinggi Teologi) faces several challenges, including a limited understanding of educational regulations, inadequate human resources, and insufficient funding. This study employs a qualitative, phenomenological approach to analyse the barriers faced by Sekolah Tinggi Teologi X in implementing the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. The results indicate that several aspects of MBKM are implementable, including: Lectures outside the primary study program, field service practice (PPL), an assessment system that does not require mandatory mid-semester or final exams. Conversely, other components remain difficult to execute, such as student exchange programs, entrepreneurship initiatives, and independent studies or projects. This study recommends that stakeholders analyse self-training strategies, evaluate the current curriculum, and develop a partnership strategy to accelerate the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Theological Colleges.

Abstract

Pendidikan dasar merupakan fondasi utama dalam pembentukan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Kualitas pendidikan tidak hanya ditentukan oleh capaian akademik, tetapi juga oleh kemampuan sekolah mengelola seluruh proses pembelajaran secara efektif, efisien, dan berkelanjutan. Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan prinsip manajemen mutu pendidikan di sekolah dasar serta menganalisis strategi penguatan budaya kinerja sekolah. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi pustaka (library research) dengan menelaah 20 artikel nasional dan internasional terbitan 2018–2024. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan manajemen mutu melalui perencanaan strategis, supervisi akademik, dan evaluasi berbasis data mampu meningkatkan budaya kinerja sekolah dasar. Faktor kunci keberhasilan meliputi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, profesionalisme guru, partisipasi warga sekolah, dan dukungan kebijakan. Komitmen terhadap prinsip continuous improvement dan akuntabilitas diperlukan agar sekolah mampu mewujudkan budaya mutu yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Schools as formal educational institutions are required to continuously improve the quality of educational services provided to students. In this process of sustainability, teachers are the central actors. So, is there a relationship between teacher competence and the quality of education at the school level? This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature review. The results of the study indicate that teacher competence affects the quality of education in elementary schools. The results of this study are evidenced by an analysis of the influence of teacher competence on the quality of education at SD Bunda Hati Kudus Jakarta.

Abstract

Scientific writing has an essential role in supporting the improvement of lecturers' functional positions, where scientific publications are seen as a form of strategic investment that can encourage academic career development. Through publications, lecturers not only share their research results and intellectual ideas, but also increase their competence, credibility, and professional recognition in the world of higher education. This study aims to analyze scientific writing as a long-term investment that plays a role in fulfilling the requirements for lecturers' functional promotion, and to assess the impact of writing productivity on institutional recognition. Using qualitative methods, this study identifies motivational factors, challenges, and benefits obtained by lecturers through scientific writing and publication activities. The results of the analysis show that scientific writing productivity significantly contributes to the process of functional promotion, both through increasing the required credit score, as well as through wider recognition of lecturers' scientific contributions in the academic sphere. Thus, scientific writing and publication skills need serious attention in lecturer development programs, so that they can support the improvement of professional performance and strengthen the academic position of lecturers in higher education. Continuous efforts in improving scientific writing skills are seen as crucial as a form of investment for the future of lecturers' academic careers, which in turn can contribute to improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran dan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam mendukung keberhasilan implementasi pendidikan inklusif di Cherish Academy. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, serta pemangku kepentingan terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah berperan sebagai penggerak utama dalam membangun budaya inklusif melalui peningkatan kompetensi pendidik, penguatan kolaborasi dengan orang tua dan tenaga ahli, serta penerapan kurikulum yang adaptif sesuai kebutuhan peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus. Gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan kepemimpinan partisipatif terbukti mampu mengatasi keterbatasan sumber daya pendidik dan mendukung keberhasilan guru dalam pengembangan akademik dan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah menjadi faktor kunci dalam keberhasilan pendidikan inklusif. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperkaya kajian kepemimpinan pendidikan inklusif, sementara secara praktis memberikan rekomendasi strategis bagi kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan praktik pendidikan inklusif yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas hubungan antara regulasi dan implementasi Standar Proses dalam Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP) di Sekolah SMTK Bethel Jakarta. Standar Proses berperan penting sebagai pedoman untuk menjamin keberlangsungan pembelajaran yang efektif, efisien, dan berpusat pada peserta didik dengan mengintegrasikan aspek akademik dan pembentukan karakter. Berdasarkan Permendikbudristek Nomor 16 Tahun 2022, implementasi dilakukan melalui tiga komponen utama, yaitu perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan penilaian proses pembelajaran. SMTK Bethel Jakarta telah mengikuti ketentuan tersebut secara sistematis dengan mengadaptasi silabus dan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) yang mengakomodasi nilai-nilai teologi Kristen serta karakteristik peserta didik. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran mengedepankan pendekatan aktif, partisipatif, dan kontekstual, termasuk praktik diskusi Alkitab, refleksi iman, renungan, doa, dan pelayanan. Penilaian dilakukan bukan secara kognitif saja, melainkan juga pada perkembangan sikap, tanggung jawab, dan spiritualitas peserta didik. Studi ini juga mengidentifikasi hambatan dalam pelaksanaan standar proses, seperti keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran, beban administrasi yang tinggi, dan variasi kemampuan siswa, serta pentingnya dukungan yayasan, pimpinan sekolah, dan pelatihan guru. Kesimpulannya, SMTK Bethel Jakarta berhasil mengintegrasikan standar proses nasional dengan kekhasan pendidikan teologi secara holistik sehingga menghasilkan pembelajaran yang bermutu dan berkarakter, mendukung pembentukan lulusan yang kompeten dan memiliki iman kuat sebagai bekal pelayanan masa depan.

Abstract

Student discipline remains a persistent challenge in school management, yet existing studies tend to focus on technical system development rather than its behavioral impact. This literature study addresses that gap by synthesizing research on the role of digital attendance systems in enhancing student discipline across formal educational settings. Using the SPIDER framework (Sample, Phenomenon of Interest, Design, Evaluation, Research Type), eight studies published between 2015 and 2025 were systematically selected and analyzed from Google Scholar. The synthesis reveals three consistent patterns: (1) digital attendance technologies including fingerprint biometrics, QR Code, RFID, and web-based applications significantly improved student punctuality and reduced absenteeism; (2) real-time parental notification features strengthened home-school supervision and reinforced disciplinary behavior; and (3) the effectiveness of these systems was contingent on non-technical factors, namely institutional commitment, consistent rule enforcement, and teacher modeling. These findings contribute to the data-driven school management literature by demonstrating that digital attendance functions not merely as an administrative tool but as a behavioral intervention instrument. Schools are advised to integrate digital attendance data into character development programs to maximize disciplinary outcomes.
