Abstract

Higher education institutions face challenges in both academic and non-academic fields due to dynamic environmental and regulatory changes. Universities must be adaptive through effective implementation of risk management (RM) to achieve organizational goals. The community service (PKM) partner in this program is the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the Islamic University of Lamongan (UNISLA), which is in the early stage of implementing RM. Based on the experience of the Internal Quality Assurance Agency (BPI) of Universitas Negeri Surabaya, a *knowledge-sharing* activity was conducted to enhance RM maturity at UNISLA. The aim of this program is to improve the partner’s ability and skills in applying RM effectively. The PKM program began in March 2025 and was carried out in four stages: preparation, material presentation, training and mentoring on risk identification, and evaluation. The activities took place from May 15 to September 26, 2025, involving 12 members of UNISLA’s quality assurance team. The results showed a significant improvement in RM understanding (p<0.001), with the average score increasing from 45.70 to 69.60. Participants were also able to complete the risk register, develop an organizational structure, and draft RM guidelines. Participants responded positively to the mentoring activities. The PKM outputs include an activity video, online media publication, intellectual property rights (IPR), a memorandum of understanding (MoU), and an article submitted to an international reputable journal. Abstract

This study aims to identify innovations in physical education (PE) learning carried out by teachers. This study is a systematic review on the Google Scholar database. We set inclusion criteria, namely articles published in the last 5 years, the author is a teacher, and the searching keyword for the article is ‘innovation in physical education learning’. Therefore, any article wriiten by non-PE teachers was excluded, as it can be seen from the authors’ affiliation. The results of the study refer to the analysis of 13 articles that match the criteria, indicating that teachers have made innovations in physical education learning. The innovations include learning media, models, and methods. The Innovations were carried out to improve students’ learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, as well as to increase the students’ learning motivation. The learning environment designed by the teacher will affect the learning process and student learning outcomes. Finally, we suggest PE teachers to continuously make innovations, not only to improve learning outcomes, but also to provide memorable learning experiences at every meeting.

Abstract

Addressing Indonesia's national target of 30% waste reduction by 2025, this study tackles the conventional "collect-transport-dispose" system in a suburban Sidoarjo village characterized by unsorted household waste. The objective was to enhance knowledge, attitudes, and skills in 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) principles to foster a zero-waste environment. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodology with 60 households, the program combined educational seminars with hands-on workshops on waste segregation and the construction of household-scale anaerobic composters. A comparative analysis of pre- and post-intervention surveys revealed significant improvements: community understanding of 3R concepts rose by 75%, routine waste segregation by 68%, and composting adoption reached 55%. This study concludes that the PAR approach is highly effective for initiating behavioral change in waste management. The program's success was driven by strengthening social capital and targeting perceived behavioral control, not just technical knowledge transfer. This initiative serves as a replicable micro-model for implementing a circular economy at the community level.
