Abstract

The shift from a high school environment to a college environment brings greater demands. This condition can cause the emergence of the culture shock phenomenon. This phenomenon underscores the importance of students having the ability to adapt to all demands that arise during lectures. Lecture adaptation refers to student interaction with the lecture environment. Considering the fact that lecture adaptation is complex, the forms of lecture adaptation are divided into 4 including academic adaptation, social adaptation, emotional adaptation, and adaptation to the institution. The purpose of this study is to find out more deeply about the adaptation carried out by students who experience culture shock in lectures. This research uses a qualitative method, to find out more about the adaptation carried out by students. The results of the study found that 1 in 4 students had not reached the adjusment stage, due to the complexity of adaptation to lectures. The three students who succeeded in adapting were none other than their efforts by being open to change, learning to develop themselves, and social support from dominant friends to help students adapt.

Abstract

The advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education has brought significant transformation alongside a serious threat of dehumanization, namely the erosion of human values such as empathy, social interaction, and pedagogical relationships in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the role of humanistic character education in realizing quality education amid the threat of AI-driven dehumanization. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review technique through the examination of relevant, credible, and up-to-date scientific literature. The findings reveal that AI has the potential to create digital heteronomy that undermines students' learning autonomy and triggers a decline in character and morality, thereby hindering the achievement of quality education in accordance with SDGs 2030. Humanistic character education emerges as a solution that positions students as whole individuals to be developed cognitively, affectively, morally, and spiritually through a teacher-AI collaboration model grounded in Pancasila values. Its implementation requires an integrated strategy involving national policy, the role of teachers as facilitators and moral guides, as well as the active involvement of families and communities. This research implies the importance of balancing technological advancement with the strengthening of human values so that education can continue to produce generations that are intellectually competent, emotionally mature, and morally resilient.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of academic burnout on students’ mental health in the context of hybrid learning through a literature review approach. The rapid transformation of learning systems in higher education, particularly the integration of online and offline methods, has increased academic demands and adaptation challenges for students. This condition potentially triggers academic burnout, which is characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and decreased academic achievement. This research employs a literature review method by analyzing relevant scientific articles published between 2019-2025 obtained from indexed national journals and open-access sources. The findings indicate that academic burnout is still commonly experienced by students, generally at a moderate level, and has a significant impact on mental health, including increased stress, emotional fatigue, and decreased academic performance. The study also identifies several influencing factors, including internal factors such as self-efficacy and hardiness, as well as external factors such as social support, learning environment, and academic workload. Furthermore, technological developments, particularly Artificial Intelligence, have the potential to be utilized as an early detection and prevention tool for academic burnout. This study implies the importance of developing adaptive learning strategies and psychological interventions to support students’ well-being in hybrid learning environments.

Abstract

Flooding is one of the most frequent disasters in DKI Jakarta and contributes not only to physical and economic losses but also to the emergence of various psychological problems among affected communities. This study aims to analyze the psychological impacts of post-flood disasters, particularly among vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly, and to examine the effects of repeated flood exposure on mental health conditions. This study employs a literature review method with a qualitative descriptive approach through the identification and synthesis of relevant scientific sources. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis to identify patterns, relationships, and trends in research findings. The results indicate that flooding is associated with psychological disorders such as stress, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), with varying levels of severity. Repeated exposure to flooding has been shown to increase individuals’ vulnerability to mental health problems and reduce psychological well-being. However, protective factors such as social support, religiosity, emotional regulation abilities, and adaptive coping strategies play a significant role in strengthening resilience and accelerating psychological recovery. The findings highlight the importance of a holistic disaster management approach that integrates mental health services, strengthens community capacity, and enhances preparedness education to improve the psychological resilience of flood-affected communities.

Abstract

Cultural Illiteracy is a condition where there is a lack of public understanding related to the diversity of traditions, values, norms, and cultural identity of the nation. This phenomenon of cultural illiteracy is one of the challenges for the younger generation in the midst of the development of digital technology and globalization trends. The younger generation tends to understand popular foreign cultures compared to local cultures, such as regional languages, cultural customs or traditions, traditional arts, and cultural values of the archipelago. This condition shows that cultural education in Indonesia is still not running optimally. This study aims to analyze cultural illiteracy in the younger generation due to the weak cultural education in Indonesia. The method used is a literature study, namely by examining relevant sources. The results of the study show that cultural illiteracy in Indonesia is characterized by the lack of knowledge of the younger generation about culture due to the lack of learning and implementation of culture in formal education. Thus, cultural education needs to be improved so that the younger generation is able to understand, and preserve national culture in the modern era.

Abstract

The specific objectives of implementing this service are: improving the skills of PKK mothers in Kelumpang Jaya Village through simple aquaponics, and improving the economy of PKK mothers in Kelumpang Jaya Village through simple aquaponics which not only relies on vegetable products, but also fish farming. Kelumpang Jaya village is the most extreme (front) village in Nibung sub-district. Access to the village can be done by ordering a taxi only once a day and the journey to the village takes 3 hours. Based on interviews and observations conducted with the PKK Team Leader, Mrs. Gustina Yati, apart from difficult access, this village also does not have an internet network. Difficult access and the absence of an internet network are also exacerbated by the low economy in this village, where the people of this village only work by relying on plantations in the form of rubber trees which are also far from settlements and rubber latex which no longer produces much. Even though this village is isolated with various problems, this village also has abundant natural potential, such as spacious home gardens, a variety of plants, and of course abundant water sources. The difficulty of access to the outside world also has an impact on the latest information or skills to process the natural potential we have into something that has the potential to generate and increase income. In fact, with the existing natural potential, Kelumpang Jaya Village can improve its economy with double profits. One of them is a simple aquaponics skill that combines growing vegetable plants with raising fish in one container at a time. Aquaponics is a very important cultivation technique because apart from being easy to apply and saving water, there is also an integration process with plant roots, where nitrogen waste from fish waste in the water can be reduced by being absorbed by the roots as nutrients. The results of implementing the simple aquaponics program for PKK mothers in Kelumpang Jaya Village show that there has been an increase in skills from 21% to 92%, apart from that there has also been an increase in the economy for PKK mothers in Kelumpang Jaya Village with the existence of simple aquaponics for one production generating a profit of Rp. ,98,000,-. This shows that simple aquaponics can be a new source of income for PKK mothers in Kelumpang Jaya Village
