Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of competence and facility availability on employee performance at the DPMPTS Kabupaten Sleman, with supervision as a moderating variable. This is a quantitative study using SEM-PLS. The results of the study indicate that work competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, facility availability has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, supervision has a positive and significant effect on work competence, supervision has a positive and significant effect on the availability of facilities, supervision has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance, supervision as a moderator variable has a negative and insignificant effect in moderating the effect of work competence on employee performance, and supervision as a moderator variable has a positive and insignificant effect in moderating the effect of the availability of facilities on employee performance.

Abstract

The YouTube platform has become a key learning tool, providing free video content. Meanwhile, with a vast video database and a platform focused on entertainment, many question whether YouTube video content aligns with pedagogical objectives. Therefore, this study aims to compare the learning outcomes of students who use YouTube videos and instructor-developed videos (IDVs) in archival management learning. Using a quantitative approach based on a quasi-non-equivalent control group design with a post-test-only design, this research focuses on test instruments to measure cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes involving 79 students enrolled in the Records Management course at the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Data analysis consisted of normality and homogeneity tests. To determine differences between the two groups, the Mann-Whitney U test was conducted in RStudio. The results showed that 1) there was no significant difference in cognitive achievement between students who learned using YouTube videos and instructional videos, and 2) there was a significant difference in psychomotor achievement between students who learned using YouTube videos and instructional videos. This finding indicates that YouTube videos can support students’ cognitive thinking; however, they have not achieved greater skill gains than videos developed with practical learning characteristics.  Future studies may identify factors influencing learning outcomes in both groups to examine the extent to which instructional media use supports learning achievement, particularly in the psychomotor domain.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has expanded its potential applications. However, empirical evidence from vocational education in developing countries remains limited, particularly regarding differences between certified and uncertified vocational high school (VHS) teachers’ perspectives. This study investigates VHS teachers’ perceptions of AI use in the learning process by explicitly comparing certified and uncertified teachers in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach combined with data-mining techniques applied to open-ended survey responses, data were collected from 65 VHS teachers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). Group differences were examined using a non parametric Mann-Whitney U test. The findings indicate that both certified and uncertified teachers demonstrate consistently positive perceptions of AI in instructional planning, implementation, and assessment, with no statistically significant differences between the two groups. Importantly, this result suggests that openness toward AI integration is not determined by certification status but reflects broader pedagogical orientations among vocational teachers. Teachers perceive AI primarily as a pedagogical partner rather than a substitute for professional educators. The study underscores the need of structured AI-focused professional development and policy support through adequate infrastructure and targeted training to enhance the effectiveness of AI adoption in improving the quality of vocational education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Salah satu aspek penting dalam peningkatan kualitas pelayanan publik, akuntabilitas, dan transparansi pemerintah desa adalah penguatan tata kelola administrasi. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan menguatkan kapasitas aparatur desa dalam mengelola administrasi dan pelayanan publik melalui penyusunan SOP dan integrasi teknologi digital. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Logandeng, Playen, Gunungkidul dengan melibatkan 24 aparatur desa melalui pendekatan community based participatory. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari asesmen awal tata kelola administrasi, penyusunan modul dan SOP administrasi, pelatihan administrasi dan pengelolaan website desa. Hasil kegiatan menjelaskan terdapat peningkatan pemahaman aparatur desa yang signifikan dengan skor rata-rata dari 45,97 menjadi 83,47 dengan peningkatan sebesar 82%. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan SOP administrasi desa, template laporan, dan panduan pengelolaan informasi publik. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan dan pendampingan tata kelola administrasi desa dan pelayanan publik efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas aparatur desa untuk mewujudkan penyelenggaraan pemerintahan yang transparan, akuntabel, dan inovatif.
