Abstract

Halal Lifestyle is a fundamental aspect of the Muslim community's lifestyle, as consuming halal products is a religious obligation and necessity for Muslims. However, this is a significant challenge in Muslim minority countries due to limited access to halal cuisines in public places. This research aims to understand the process of audience acceptance in countries with minority Muslims regarding the need for consumption following halal principles. Researchers employ audience acceptance theory in analyzing research problems and an analysis technique coined by Stuart Hall. The data was obtained through the use of research instruments in the form of guided discussions, based on the constructivist paradigm through the employment of data reduction, data presentation, and validation process. The results of the guided discussions indicated that each participant interpreted media messages in three possible positions: dominant, negotiation, and opposition. These differences in interpretation were influenced by various individual backgrounds, including where they lived, their views, and their experiences. The findings indicate that, in terms of acceptance of halal food in Muslim-minority countries, the majority of participants consider information about halal food to be important in maintaining their religious beliefs, particularly through online platforms such as websites and Instagram.

Abstract

Abstract (Bahasa Inggris) The study aimed to investigate the impact resulting from the prioritization of information and information exposure on cases of Acute Kidney Injury in Children, specifically examining the level of anxiety among young mothers who follow the Instagram account @mpasibayisehat. This research uses three theories, that is Agenda Setting Theory for variable X1 of prioritization of information; Cultivation Theory for variable X2 of information exposure; and Anxiety and Uncertainty Management Theory for variable Y of level of anxiety. The coefficient analysis results reveal that factor X1 yielded a t-value of 5.350, while variable X2 showed a t-value of 2.729. Additionally, the ANOVA table indicates that the calculated F-value is 219.652. This suggests a significant impact between each independent factor and the dependent factor. Furthermore, collectively, the independent factors also have a significant impact on the dependent variable. In this context, considering the coefficient of determination, the influence of variable X on Y can be measured at a substantial 81.5%. These findings illustrate that the observed influence falls into the category of very high impact. Abstract

Tradisi Baritan merupakan salah satu tradisi yang masih dilestarikan oleh masyarakat di Desa Bangodua, Kecamatan Bangodua, Kabupaten Indramayu. Tradisi ini memiliki tujuan utama sebagai upaya untuk menolak sial atau menolak datangnya wabah yang diyakini dapat mempengaruhi kehidupan masyarakat. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan Teori Konstruksi Realitas Sosial yang diperkenalkan oleh Peter L. Berger dan Thomas Luckmann. Teori ini menjelaskan bahwa realitas sosial merupakan hasil konstruksi sosial yang diciptakan oleh individu-individu melalui interaksi sosial dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, yang kemudian berkembang menjadi sebuah realitas yang diakui oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini berada dalam kerangka Paradigma Post Positivisme yang menekankan pada adanya realitas objektif, tetapi tetap mempertimbangkan interpretasi subjektif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Etnografi Interpretatif, yang bertujuan untuk memahami makna yang terkandung dalam tradisi ini melalui sudut pandang masyarakat setempat. Untuk mendapatkan data yang akurat dan mendalam, peneliti melakukan teknik pengumpulan data yang meliputi observasi, wawancara dengan para informan, serta dokumentasi. Dari hasil wawancara, terungkap bahwa setiap informan memberikan jawaban yang beragam, mencerminkan sudut pandang yang berbeda-beda sesuai dengan latar belakang mereka masing-masing. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, penelitian ini membuktikan adanya pergeseran makna dalam pelaksanaan Tradisi Baritan di Desa Bangodua. Pergeseran ini terlihat dalam perubahan cara pelaksanaan dan simbol-simbol yang digunakan dalam tradisi Baritan dibandingkan dengan tradisi yang diwariskan oleh nenek moyang mereka. Pergeseran ini tidak hanya mencerminkan perubahan zaman, tetapi juga menunjukkan bagaimana masyarakat beradaptasi dengan perubahan sosial dan budaya yang terjadi di lingkungan mereka.

Abstract

The significance of education in the contemporary world cannot be overstated, as it plays a pivotal role in shaping a high-quality society. Exploring the theory of Excellence in Public Relations is at the heart of this research. The study delves into the intricate dynamics between organizations and their communities, examining the various communication functions and objectives that underpin these relationships. This study employs a post-positivist paradigm, adopting a qualitative approach and a case study methodology. The author conducts observations, interviews, and documentation to gather information about the individuals involved. The research was conducted through the presentation of data and the formulation of conclusions. The findings indicated that this study applied three specific models, namely Public Information, Two Way Symmetric, and Two Way Asymmetric, out of the four models proposed by the theory. Public relations effectively communicated with the community through various activities such as charity events, open house events, and blood donation events. The research concludes that Kinderfield's community relations activities, conducted by its Public Relations department, have resulted in a positive image for Kinderfield. This achievement has led to the establishment of Kinderfield as a trustworthy school in the eyes of the community, making it a preferred choice for parents seeking an educational institution for their children.

Abstract

Fenomena influencer media sosial telah menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan digital saat ini, di mana individu dengan pengaruh besar mampu membentuk opini dan perilaku pengikut mereka. Penelitian ini berfokus pada peran influencer Instagram, Vindy Lee, dalam membentuk tren budaya masyarakat, khususnya terkait etiket makan atau table manners. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode konstruktif untuk menganalisis tentang peran influence pada media sosial Instagram dalam memberikan informasi dan juga mengedukasi Masyarakat tentang etiket makan. Peneliti melakukan observasi pada akun Instagram @Vindylee untuk mengetahui bagaiaman Vindy Lee menggunakan berbagai fitur Instagram untuk menyampaikan konten edukatif yang autentik dan menarik, serta menganalisis dampak konten tersebut terhadap perilaku dan kebiasaan pengikutnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Vindy Lee berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pentingnya table manners, serta mendorong perubahan positif dalam perilaku sehari-hari mereka. Vindy Lee berhasil menggunakan platform Instagram untuk menyebarkan edukasi mengenai etiket makan melalui konten yang menarik dan mudah dipahami. Dengan menggunakan berbagai fitur Instagram seperti foto, video, dan Instagram Live, ia mampu menjangkau audiens yang luas dan berinteraksi langsung dengan pengikutnya, sehingga membangun hubungan yang lebih personal dan terpercaya. Faktor-faktor seperti kredibilitas, autentisitas, interaksi aktif dengan pengikut, dan visualisasi konten yang menarik, berperan penting dalam efektivitas Vindy Lee sebagai influencer.

Abstract

Reputasi DPMPTSP Kota Bekasi memburuk setelah Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi melakukan penangkapan terhadap salah satu aparatur negara di instansi tersebut. Sehingga demi memperbaikinya, aktivitas komunikasi korporat diperlukan untuk lebih spesifik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi komunikasi korporat di Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu Kota Bekasi dalam memperbaiki reputasinya. Image Repair, sebuah teori dengan memberikan tahapan-tahapan yang perlu dilaksanakan dalam komunikasi korporat demi meningkatkan reputasi instansi yang rusak. Tahapan yang dimaksud diantaranya adalah Denial; Evading of Responsibility; Reducing Offensiveness of Event; Mortification; hingga Corrective Action. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil observasi dan wawancara terhadap informan kunci dan informan berdasarkan paradigma konstruktivistik. Metode studi kasus digunakan penulis dalam penelitian ini dan memverifikasi keandalan data melalui metode triangulasi. Hasil yang didapat, menunjukkan komunikasi korporat Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu Kota Bekasi telah berupaya memperbaiki reputasinya dengan menggunakan tahapan pada teori image repair di antaranya: 1) Denial; 2) Evading of Responsibility; 3) Reducing Offensiveness of Event; 4) Mortification; 5) Corrective Action. Selain itu, dalam menyebaluaskan penjelasan dan meningkatkan reputasinya, lalu bekerjasama dengan para pihak berkepentingan di DPMPTSP Bekasi.

Abstract

This current research discusses motivational messages on YouTube content on the issue of anxiety management at the quarter-life crisis (QLC) stage among Instagram followers @NAJWASHIHAB. Motivational messages on YouTube have influenced the audience's enthusiasm after watching the show based on extrinsic and extrinsic motivations. The research utilizes quantitative approach through the use of survey method. The survey data is the followers of the @NAJWASHIHAB Instagram account on quarter-life crisis topic discussion. The results show that the created content influenced the viewers or subjects. The findings indicate that there were positive reactions shown by the content viewers after watching the video "Quarter Life Crisis, Says Abi Quraish Shihab | Shihab & Shihab” on YouTube. The @NAJWASHIHAB Instagram followers demonstrate the ability to manage quarter-life crisis anxiety by practicing mindfulness by being conscious of their environment and openly accepting their emotions.

Abstract

The candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta 2024, Ridwan Kamil and Suswono (RIDO), utilized the Shannon-Weaver communication model. The controversy began with Suswono's statement suggesting that "wealthy widows marry unemployed young men," followed by a similar remark from Ridwan Kamil. This study explores how the use of sensitive language can influence public perception and the electability of political candidates. Using the Shannon-Weaver model, the study identifies five stages of communication: information source, encoding process, channel and noise, receiver, and destination. The analysis results reveal that semantic noise and socio-cultural contexts sensitive to gender issues significantly contributed to negative perceptions among the public. Criticism from various organizations and public figures amplified this negative impact, which was reflected in the decline of RIDO's electability, ultimately leading to their defeat in the 2024 Jakarta election. This study highlights the importance of careful word choice in political communication and how semantic noise can affect message effectiveness. The Shannon-Weaver model, although initially designed for technical communication, can be adapted to analyze the complexities of contemporary political communication, particularly regarding the use of language with sensitive gender and social dimensions.

Abstract

Partnership and Community Development Program is an activity of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from PT. Telkom, Tbk. This activities are spread throughout Indonesia. In Java Island the largest partner is located in East Java, especially in Malang. The purpose of this study are: (1) to analyze the implementation of participatory communication strategy, (2) to analyze the influence of participatory communication strategy toward knowledge, attitudes and motivation of the assisted partners, and (3) to analyze the influence participatory communication strategy and learning observation of the behavior of the development partners. This research uses mixed method. The number of samples are 138 people chosen by a random sampling technique. The results showed that the implementation of participatory communication strategy has involved the partners in the process of identifying the problem, determining NOPS, and selecting the media and communication methods in PKBL Telkom activities. Participatory communication strategy positively affects the knowledge, attitude, and motivation of the assisted partners. The knowledge of the assisted partners, the attitudes of the assisted partners, the motivation of the assisted partners has a positive effect on the behavior of the assisted partners while the learning observation has a negative effect on the behavior of the development partners.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama adalah pengetahuan Siswa SMK YAPIN mengenai pentingnya lingkungan masih belum terlalu baik, dimana sampah masih dianggap sebagai sesuatu yang kotor maupun tidak ada gunanya padahal sampah juga bisa berguna bahkan bisa menjadi penunjang dari segi ekonomi. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan sosialisasi dan pelatihan untuk peningkatan pengetahuan siswa/i SMK YAPIN dan remaja yang ada SMK YAPIN di Kecamatan Tambun Selatan Bekasi. Hal tersebut juga merupakan bagian dari kepedulian terhadap permasalahan lingkungan hidup di Indonesia yang semakin banyak dan penting untuk segera mencari solusinya, masalah lingkungan juga sudah mendarah daging di penduduk Indonesia. Permasalahan lingkungan hidup menjadi masalah yang sangat sulit diselesaikan baik di tingkat global maupun lokal. Di tingkat global negara-negara yang termasuk dalam anggota PBB telah membahas masalah lingkungan hidup dan menyetujui protokol Kyoto. Protokol Kyoto adalah protokol kepada Konvensi Kerangka Kerja PBB tentang Perubahan Iklim (UNFCCC atau FCCC), yang ditujukan untuk melawan pemanasan global.
