Abstract

Difficulties in understanding fractions are a common challenge for elementary school students. This article aims to identify and summarize learning strategies that have been proven effective in overcoming these obstacles. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review of six selected articles discussing fraction learning strategies. The findings reveal that strategies such as concrete media-based approaches, contextual approaches, problem-based learning, digital visual media, cooperative learning, and educational games significantly enhance students' conceptual understanding. The implications of this study are relevant for teachers, researchers, and policymakers in designing adaptive and meaningful learning experiences.

Abstract

Mathematics learning at elementary school level plays an important role in forming higher order thinking skills (HOTS) from an early age. However, the implementation of HOTS at elementary school level still faces various challenges, such as conventional learning approaches and teachers' low understanding of effective strategies. This study aims to identify and analyze various learning strategies that can develop HOTS in the context of elementary school mathematics learning. This research was conducted through a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach, using relevant scientific sources. The results of the study indicate that there are five main effective strategies, namely Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PJBL), Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Discovery Learning, and Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL). These strategies have been proven to improve students' critical, creative, reflective, and problem-solving thinking skills. Therefore, teachers need to be provided with ongoing training so that they are able to implement these strategies optimally in meaningful and adaptive mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study discusses how to apply a deep learning approach to support mathematics learning in elementary schools. Where this study uses a qualitative method. This study obtains data from literature reviews, researchers examine various relevant national scientific sources to identify the benefits, challenges, and opportunities for integrating deep learning technology in mathematics learning. The results of the study show that the application of deep learning to mathematics studies has a positive impact on student understanding. This method encourages active student involvement through various interactive activities, such as simulations and experiments, so that the learning process becomes more meaningful and enjoyable. However, the application of this method is also faced with a number of challenges, such as limited time to complete the curriculum and unequal access to technology among students.

Abstract

Etnomatematika adalah studi tentang hubungan antara matematika dan budaya, yaitu bagaimana konsep dan praktik matematika dipraktikkan dan berkembang dalam kelompok budaya tertentu. Istilah ini mengacu pada matematika yang muncul dari kebiasaan, tradisi, dan cara berpikir masyarakat dalam konteks sosial dan budaya mereka. Etnomatematika memandang matematika tidak hanya sebagai ilmu abstrak, tetapi juga sebagai bagian dari budaya yang hidup dan diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat, seperti dalam pengukuran, pengelompokan, pola, dan desain yang khas pada suatu kelompok budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep geometri berbasis kearifan lokal dalam kebudayaan masyarakat Karo dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka dari buku dan jurnal sebagai sumber utama. Fokus kajian meliputi elemen-elemen budaya Karo seperti rumah adat Siwaluh Jabu, alat musik tradisional, dan makanan khas yang mengandung prinsip-prinsip geometri. Analisis data dilakukan secara induktif untuk memahami makna dan penerapan konsep geometri dalam konteks kearifan lokal masyarakat Karo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kearifan lokal Karo mengandung berbagai konsep geometri seperti bangun datar, bangun ruang, simetri, dan kesebangunan yang dapat dijadikan sumber belajar dan pemahaman budaya. Pendekatan ini membuka peluang untuk mengintegrasikan nilai budaya dalam pembelajaran geometri secara lebih kontekstual dan bermakna bagi masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan LKPD berbasis Live Worksheets yag dikembangkan, Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Richard and Klein, yang dilaksanakan di kelas V SDN 101826. Adapun hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yakni 18 dari 20 siswa merasa tertarik terhadap LKPD berbasis Live Worksheets yang dikembangkan, yang artinya 90% siswa merasa tertarik dalam menggunakan LKPD. Serta berdasarkan penilaian guru dalam penggunaan LKPD berbasis Live Worksheets guru merasa bahwa LKPD ini praktis digunakan sehingga penilaian yang diberikan guru yakni 88 dari 100 dengan terdapat 20 indikator penilian yang dilakukan oleh guru. Dengan demikian, pengembangan LKPD berbasis Live Worksheets pada pelajaran matematika materi pecahan di kelas V SD 101836 ini dikategorikan Praktis berdasarkan respon guru dan respon siswa

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi keterkaitan antara kearifan lokal, khususnya arsitektur rumahlimas, dengan konsep matematika kesebangunan dan kekongruenan. Melalui pendekatan etnomatematika, penelitianini menganalisis elemen-elemen geometri pada rumah limas dan mengidentifikasi konsep matematika yangterkandung di dalamnya. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwa rumah limas mengandung berbagai konsep matematika yang dapat dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaranyang menarik dan bermakna bagi siswa. Implementasi pembelajaran matematika berbasis kearifan lokal inidiharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep kesebangunan dan kekongruenan, sertamenumbuhkan apresiasi terhadap warisan budaya bangsa.

Abstract

Learning mathematics in the technological era presents new challenges. The learning process has undergone a transformation towards digitalization. One form of innovation is the utilization of technological media such as Google Sites to assist students in learning mathematics. This research discusses the transformation of developing interactive teaching materials in learning mathematics for grade 5 elementary school students through the Google Sites platform. As a learning tool, Google Sites allows teachers to design more interesting and interactive teaching materials with the integration of text, images, videos, and animations. This research uses the literature study method to explore the potential of technology-based media in improving the quality of mathematics learning. The results of the study show that the use of Google Sites can improve students' understanding of the material, learning outcomes, as well as their active involvement in the learning process. In addition, the flexibility of access and cloud-based features make it easier for students and teachers to support distance learning or blended learning. Thus, this study confirms the importance of technological innovation in mathematics learning to improve the quality of basic education.

Abstract

One of the success factors in learning science is meeting the learning needs of students. Science learning emphasizes the process of building a more complex understanding of science concepts in students. To optimize science learning, the learning process should be accompanied by learning resources such as teaching aids or student worksheets (LKPD) that can encourage students to expand their understanding. This study aims to analyze the needs of elementary school students about the development of LKPD based on a metacognitive approach. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected through interviews, tests, questionnaires and document analysis. The subjects of this study were 42 fifth grade students and 2 classroom teachers. The results of this study indicate that elementary school students need learning resources in the form of student worksheets based on a metacognitive approach. This can be seen from the results of data analysis that as many as 52.37% get an average score to below the average which indicates students still have a low understanding of science concepts, there are no student worksheets that facilitate increasing the ability to understand science concepts, and student worksheets used are still conventional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemanfaatan strategi deep learning dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika dasar pada siswa sekolah dasar. Deep learning dalam konteks pendidikan tidak hanya mengacu pada teknologi kecerdasan buatan, tetapi lebih kepada pendekatan pembelajaran yang mendorong siswa untuk memahami materi secara mendalam, mengaitkan konsep-konsep, serta mampu menerapkannya dalam konteks nyata. Melalui telaah terhadap berbagai literatur yang relevan, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi strategi-strategi deep learning seperti pembelajaran berbasis masalah, diskusi reflektif, integrasi pengalaman nyata, dan penggunaan teknologi interaktif. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan deep learning dapat membantu siswa membangun pemahaman konseptual yang lebih kuat dalam matematika, meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta memperkuat retensi pengetahuan jangka panjang. Dengan demikian, penerapan strategi ini sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran matematika di jenjang sekolah dasar untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna dan berpusat pada siswa
