Abstract

The implementation of the PAI learning model based on Islamic values to increase students conceptual understanding at UIM needs to be researched and explored scientifically, considering that PAI is the foundation of Islamic education to produce graduates who are by the Islamic management of the UIM Institution and have the ahlussunnah waljamaah bent. However, in reality, phenomena are presented that are often not by Islamic rules and teachings, this is the reason why this research is necessary to carry out this research. While the research approach used is qualitative phenomenological, the data sources in this research are UIM residents taken randomly by researchers such as students, lecturers, and employees. The validity of the data is to convince the researcher that the data obtained is valid, the researcher uses the concept of triangulation. The research results show that the Islamic Values-Based PAI Learning Model is carried out holistically in the learning process, which does not only focus on conceptual understanding and material but also on students themselves and the application of Islamic values in real life. Meanwhile, the impact of students' conceptual understanding has a positive impact on religious concepts and the ability to relate these concepts to the context of everyday life. Meanwhile, intensive interaction between lecturers and students as well as space for discussion and reflection in the learning process makes a significant contribution to the effectiveness of the Islamic Values-based PAI education and learning model. The implementation of the PAI learning model based on Islamic values can be used as a reference for lecturers and curriculum managers to improve the quality of Islamic religious education at the Islamic higher education level. Abstract

The research objective in this study is to review the effectiveness of the al-Miftah method in improving the ability to read the yellow book for students at the Sullamul Hidayah Islamic boarding school in Probolinggo. In this study, researchers conducted research using a qualitative approach, while the type of research used was a case study that explored real life. The sources of data and information obtained in this research were from observations and interviews with several parties concerned. The results of research at the Sullamul Hidayah Islamic Boarding School show that this method is very influential and effective for new students who will start the basic science of reading the yellow book, namely the science of nahwu and sharaf. The effectiveness of the al-Miftah method at the Sullamul Hidayah Islamic Boarding School is that it provides a guarantee that within one year the students at the Sullamul Hidayah Islamic Boarding School have the ability to read the yellow book well according to the rules. Apart from that, it also has a positive impact on the quality of Islamic boarding schools which have proven successful in winning yellow book reading competitions at the sub-district and district levels.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of Scout activities on the formation of students' Islamic character at the Zainul Irsyad Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Probolinggo. Islamic character education is an effort to develop noble morals and spiritual values ​​based on Islamic teachings. This research uses a qualitative approach with data sources from the school principal, scout leaders, teachers and students. The research results show that Scouting as an extracurricular activity is proven to be able to shape students' Islamic character without disrupting learning activities in the classroom. The strategies carried out by Scoutmasters include instilling the moral messages contained in the Dasadharma of Scouting. The Islamic character values ​​developed include: Religious, Responsible, Honest, Independent, Confident, Hard Work, Discipline, Healthy Lifestyle, and Cooperation.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the contribution of PAI teachers in developing emotional intelligence (EQ) and spiritual intelligence (SQ) of MA al-Barokah students and to determine the factors that can influence it. The research is classified as case study research with a qualitative approach. Data collection carried out by researchers was through observation and interviews. The informants in this research consisted of: Principal, Deputy Head for Curriculum, Deputy Head for Student Affairs, PAI Teacher, and Students. The results of this research show that the contribution of PAI teachers in developing students' emotional and spiritual intelligence at MA al-Barokah is manifested in the preparation of learning programs, program implementers as well as role models. The form of development carried out by the institution is to provide guidance, direction, advice and constant learning motivation (istiqamah) to students through learning program policies that are oriented towards emotional and spiritual development.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of social media on the religious identity of students at Madrasah Diniyah Salafiyah Riyadlotul Uqul located in Banjarsari Village, Sumberasih District. With the development of information technology and the increasing accessibility of social media, students' religious identity can be influenced by various factors related to the digital world. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to explore students' experiences in interacting with social media and how it affects their religious understanding and practices. Student have a tendency to openly accept various interpretations of religion, although at the same time they have difficulty filtering information in accordance with Salafi teachings. Participants in this study included the head of the Diniyah Madrasah, teachers and student. The findings of this study make a significant contribution to understanding the role of social media in shaping religious identity in Salafiyah Islamic schools. In addition, the findings also provide insights in developing educational strategies and fostering a healthy religious identity in this digital era.

Abstract

Curriculum transformation and evolving global needs increasingly influence changes in Indonesia's educational landscape, including Islamic educational institutions. MTs Zainul Falah has adopted the full-day school model as a strategy to improve educational quality and strengthen school branding within the competitive Islamic education environment. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the full-day school program at MTs Zainul Falah and its impact on the school's image and reputation. This study employs a qualitative research method, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, documentation, and interviews, to provide a comprehensive understanding of the experiences and perspectives of the various stakeholders involved. The results show that the implementation of the full-day school program at MTs Zainul Falah is effective in improving educational quality and the school’s image in the eyes of the community. The program not only positively impacts students' academic development but also strengthens the school's reputation within the surrounding community. Overall, the full-day school program at MTs Zainul Falah has proven to be an effective branding strategy, solidifying the school’s position as a competent and trusted Islamic educational institution. This study highlights full-day school as an effective branding strategy to enhance community appeal and trust in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in preventing bullying behavior at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Probolinggo. Bullying is a serious issue that can negatively impact students' mental health and social development. Therefore, it is important to explore strategies that can be applied to prevent such behavior in the school environment. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The research subjects include the Principal, Vice Principal, PAI teachers, students, and other relevant parties. The results show that PAI teachers play an important role in integrating Islamic values, such as tolerance, compassion, and mutual respect, into daily learning. Through the teaching of the Qur'an and Hadith, which are relevant to social issues, students are taught the importance of positive social interactions. Additionally, various extracurricular activities provide students with opportunities to engage in positive activities, thus reducing bullying behavior. Collaboration between PAI teachers, school staff, and parents has proven effective in creating a safe and supportive learning environment. This study concludes that a proactive, religion-based approach can be an effective solution in preventing bullying in schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penguatan nilai religiusitas terhadap pengembangan diri siswa di MAN 2 Probolinggo. Dalam konteks pendidikan berbasis agama Islam, penanaman nilai-nilai religiusitas menjadi bagian penting dalam membentuk karakter dan kepribadian siswa yang berkualitas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan pada penelitian ini antara lain, Kepala Madrasah, Wakil Kepala Bidang Kurikulum, Wakil Kepala Bidang Kesiswaan, Guru, dan siswa. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang dikembangkan oleh Miles dan Huberman (1984). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan nilai religiusitas di MAN 2 Probolinggo dilaksanakan melalui berbagai kegiatan yang meliputi: Sholat berjamaah, kajian keagamaan, serta pembiasaan perilaku akhlak mulia dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Guru dan tenaga kependidikan memiliki peran signifikan dalam membimbing dan memberikan teladan kepada siswa. Selain itu, lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif dan dukungan keluarga juga turut mendukung keberhasilan pengembangan diri siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sinergisitas antara pendidikan religius, keteladanan guru, dan dukungan lingkungan sangat berkontribusi dalam memperkuat nilai religiusitas serta mendukung pengembangan diri siswa secara komprehensif di MAN 2 Probolinggo.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the process of accompanying prayer practices for dyslexic students at Islamic Junior high school Permata at Probolinggo City. Dyslexia, as a learning disorder that affects reading and writing abilities, often presents additional challenges in carrying out religious practices, including prayer. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation of the mentoring program implementation. The results show that the implemented mentoring program successfully improved the understanding and skills of dyslexic students in performing prayers. Mentoring was conducted using dyslexia-friendly methods such as the use of visual materials, step-by-step instructions, and consistent emotional support. Students showed significant improvement in performing prayers independently and gained benefits in terms of self-confidence and spiritual involvement. This study concludes that mentoring strategies tailored to the needs of dyslexic students can enhance the quality of their worship. These findings recommend the implementation of similar approaches in other schools to support students with special needs and reinforce the importance of adapting teaching methods in the context of religious practices

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relevance of social theories in increasing the effectiveness of learning the Qur'an and Hadith (Qurdis). Qurdis learning, as part of Islamic religious education, has an important role in shaping students' character and religious understanding. However, conventional learning methods often pay less attention to social aspects and interaction in the learning process. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data were collected from various sources such as books, scientific journals, articles, and other relevant sources that discuss social theories and their implementation in education, especially in Qurdis learning. The results of the study indicate that relevant and applicable social theories in the context of Qurdis learning, such as social learning theory (Bandura), constructivism theory (Piaget, Vygotsky), symbolic interactionism theory (Mead), and social cognitive learning theory (Bandura) make a major contribution to the development of more effective, relevant, and appropriate Qurdis learning. student needs through in-depth understanding.
