Abstract

Kemampuan literasi matematika memiliki peran penting dalam kehidupan modern, dimana setiap individu diharapkan dapat memanfaatkan pengetahuan matematika untuk menyelesaikan masalah sehari-hari. Namun, survei PISA 2022 mengungkapkan bahwa literasi matematika siswa Indonesia masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematika dengan gaya kognitif fast-accurate, reflektif, impulsif, dan slow-inaccurate. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIA MTs NW Aik Ampat Lombok Timur tahun ajaran 2024/2025 yang berjumlah 22 siswa, dengan 2 siswa bergaya kognitif fast-accurate, 6 siswa bergaya kognitif reflektif, 11 siswa bergaya kogntif impulsif, dan 3 siswa bergaya kognitif slow-inaccurate. Teknik pemilihan subjek dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes MFFT (Maching Familiar Figures Test), tes kemampuan literasi matematika, dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu: 1) reduksi data, 2) penyajian data, dan 3) verifikasi. Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan tiga indikator kemampuan literasi matematika, yaitu 1) merumuskan situasi ke dalam bentuk matematika; 2) menerapkan konsep, penalaran, dan prosedur matematika; serta 3) menafsirkan solusi matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan gaya kognitif fast-accurate dan reflektif melakukan ketiga indikator kemampuan literasi matematika walau siswa fast-accurate kurang lengkap dalam menuliskan informasi yang diketahui dan ditanyakan pada soal. Siswa dengan gaya kognitif impulsif dan slow-inaccurate melakukan ketiga indikator kemampuan literasi matematika namun belum maksimal dalam menggunakan prosedur matematika, cenderung kurang teliti saat proses perhitungan.

Abstract

Statistical habits of mind (SHOM) is a habit of mind needed to understand, analyze, and interpret data effectively. This research aims to develop an instrument in the affective aspect of measuring SHOM that is valid and reliable. The results showed that the SHOM instrument developed consisted of five faktorons, namely 1) Context of Data, 2) Intuition, 3) Inquiry, 4) Skeptical and Careful, and 5) Thinking Beyond the Textbook. Based on the factor analysis results, it was found that the SHOM instrument is content-valid and reliable but not yet construct-valid. This is indicated by the number of factors formed (13 factors) does not match the number of factors planned in the preparation of the instrument (5 factors), and there are 6 items that have insufficient factor loading values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbasis Lesson Study. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Mataram pada kelas X.7 selama semester genap tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 36 peserta didik. Proses penelitian mengikuti tiga tahapan Lesson Study: plan (perencanaan), do (pelaksanaan dan observasi), serta see (refleksi dan rencana tindak lanjut). Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi "Format Lembar Observasi Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran" oleh tiga guru Matematika dan "Angket Minat Belajar Siswa". Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, catatan lapangan, dokumentasi, angket, dan tes, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan minat belajar peserta didik pada siklus kedua dibandingkan siklus pertama. Indikator perasaan senang meningkat sebesar 3,92%, ketertarikan siswa meningkat 1,32%, dan perhatian siswa meningkat 2,65%. Namun, terdapat penurunan keterlibatan siswa sebesar 7,89%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis Lesson Study efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik kelas X.7 SMA Negeri 1 Mataram.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran matematika materi statistika kelas X-12 SMAN 1 Mataram pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dan desain kuasi-eksperimental dengan 37 siswa sebagai sampel yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi, mengintegrasikan PBL ke dalam kurikulum yang ada, dengan fokus pada pengembangan kemampuan analisis dan pemecahan masalah secara kolaboratif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam hasil belajar siswa. Pada Siklus I, rata-rata hasil belajar siswa mencapai 84,51, dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 78,37%, yang dikategorikan tinggi. Selanjutnya, pada Siklus II, terdapat peningkatan lebih lanjut dengan rata-rata hasil belajar mencapai 86,51 dan ketuntasan klasikal meningkat menjadi 91,89%, yang berada dalam kategori sangat tinggi. Respon positif siswa terhadap penerapan PBL menunjukkan bahwa model ini memiliki potensi yang signifikan untuk memperkaya pengalaman belajar. Penelitian lanjutan dengan sampel yang lebih besar dan kontrol variabel yang lebih beragam direkomendasikan untuk menguji konsistensi temuan ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika pada materi statistika melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL) yang diintegrasikan dengan komponen CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning) di kelas X.11 SMAN 1 Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa dari pra-siklus hingga siklus II. Nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat dari 80,162 pada pra-siklus menjadi 84,594 pada siklus II. Jumlah siswa yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) juga meningkat dari 54,054% pada pra-siklus menjadi 94,594% pada siklus II. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL dengan integrasi CASEL tidak hanya efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi, tetapi juga dalam mengembangkan keterampilan sosial dan emosional yang penting. Kesimpulannya, model PBL yang diintegrasikan dengan CASEL dapat meningkatan hasil belajar siswa secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Background. Learning media has a very important role in supporting the acceptance of information conveyed by the teacher to students. Through the media, information will be more easily accepted by students because it looks attractive so that students can focus more on understanding the material. However, based on initial observations in the field, many teachers have not utilized the latest digital media such as Powtoon. Purpose. The media that are commonly used are still in the form of Powerpoint (Ppt) and Student Worksheets. Method. This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to provide training and assistance in making Powtoon-based animated video learning media for Mathematics academics in Mataram City. This activity was carried out online and was attended by 50 participants who were Mathematics practitioners in the City of Mataram. Results. The result of this community service activity is a Powtoon-based animated video learning media made by each participant. This learning media created is the result of mentoring PKM activities and is the output of these activities. In addition, there was a positive response from the trainees of 91.04% regarding mastery of the material, the technique of delivering the material, suitability of the material and the needs of the trainees, and the completeness and ease of operation of the Powtoon program. Conclusion. Thus, this PKM activity significantly improves the quality of learning mathematics in the classroom. Through this training and mentoring, trainees as Mathematics practitioners in the City of Mataram can produce Powtoon-based animated video learning media that suit students' needs.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the model problem-based learning as well as know the effect on student learning outcomes. This research is quantitative research using a true experimental type posttest-only control group design. The research population was class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Mataram with a sample of class XI RPL 2 as the experimental class and XI RPL 1 as the control class which was selected by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using test instruments. Data analysis techniques in the form of descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the study show: 1) there is a positive and significant influence from the application of the model problem-based learning on student learning outcomes, where the influence exerted is included in the large category with a significance value of 0.6 or with an influence percentage of 38.2%; 2) application of the model problem-based learning works well according to the steps on the model problem-based learning which includes: the stages of student orientation to problems, organizing students, guiding individual and group investigations, developing and presenting results, as well as analyzing and evaluating the process and results of problem-solving.

Abstract

Problem solving in mathematics is a basic and fundamental ability that a person must master. However, previous research shows that students' problem solving abilities still tend to be in the medium and low categories. Many factors can cause students' low problem solving abilities, including number sense ability. The aim of this research is to describe linear programming problem solving for mathematics education students with high number sense abilities. This research is a descriptive qualitative research involving 36 third year Mathematics Education Study Program students who have taken linear programming courses. The instruments used were number sense ability test questions, problem solving test questions, and interview guidelines. The results of this research obtained information that there were 6 students with high number sense abilities, all of whom only reached the medium category in problem solving. In general, students in this category do not write complete information regarding the constraints of linear programming problems at the information gathering stage. In addition, students also do not carry out the re-checking stage of solving the problem because they feel confident with the answer given. However, this solution is not correct

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level and describe the characteristics of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in solving tangent line problems based on Polya's steps. This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative and qualitative approach to further identify the problem-solving ability profiles performed by subjects based on Polya's stages. Data collection techniques used were tests and interviews. The test instrument consists of 2 items (determining the equation of a tangent line at point x1, y1 and determining the equation of a tangent line with gradient m) with explanatory answers and interview guidelines. There were 6 subjects in this study, with 2 students each in the high, medium, and low categories selected using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used both quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate (1) the level of problem-solving ability of students in the high and medium categories is 47.05%, and 5.9% in the low category, (2) students with high problem-solving abilities were able to solve problems according to all of Polya's steps, students with medium category were able to solve tangent line problems based on Polya's steps in understanding the problem and executing the solution only, while students with low category were only able to solve the equation of a tangent line at point x1, y1 in the problem understanding and execution stage.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of audiovisual media on students’ mathematics learning outcomes in the online learning supplement. This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study were class VIII students, with a sample determined using random sampling techniques. The samples in this research consists of 76 students, with class VIII-A as the experimental group and class VIII-B as the control group. The instrument used is a test of student learning outcomes. The data analysis used is the normality test and homogeneity test as a prerequisite test, the t test as a hypothesis test, and an effect size to determine whether there is an influence from the use of audiovisual media on student learning outcomes. According to the results of hypothesis testing using the t test at a 5% significance level, it was found that  and , indicating that  so the  is rejected  and the  is accepted. The effect size results showed a value of 0,804 which falls into the high category, meaning that there is an impact of using audiovisual media on students’ mathematics learning outcomes in the online learning supplement.
