Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to examine the effects of financial inclusion, digital financial literacy, financial management, and locus of control on the performance of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Banyumas Regency, using a Resource-Based Theory framework. Methods: The quantitative methodology of this study is based on primary data collected from 115 respondents, selected at random from a pool of MSME owners, via an online and offline survey. Results: The findings indicate that financial management and locus of control have a positive, significant effect on MSME performance, underscoring the importance of internal managerial capabilities and psychological resources. Conversely, financial inclusion and digital financial literacy do not show a significant impact on MSME performance, suggesting that access to financial services and digital financial tools has not yet been optimally utilized to enhance business performanceConclusion and suggestion: These results imply that financial access alone is insufficient without adequate managerial skills and strong internal controls. Therefore, MSME development programs are encouraged to focus on strengthening financial management practices and internal locus of control to improve MSME performance and sustainability. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of content marketing, live streaming, customer reviews, and beauty vloggers on the decision to purchase Scarlett Whitening on TikTok Shop. The population in this study were active students from all faculties at Muhammadiyah University Purwokerto who had used Scarlett Whitening. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in a total of 144 respondents in this study . The research analysis test used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as the data analysis technique, utilizing SmartPLS software version 3.0. The results of the study indicate that content marketing, beauty vloggers, and online customer reviews have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions, demonstrating the importance of informative, persuasive, and credible digital content in shaping consumer behavior on TikTok Shop. Conversely, live streaming does not show a significant effect on purchasing decisions, suggesting that its effectiveness may depend on execution quality or audience engagement levels. These findings imply that Scarlett Whitening should prioritize strengthening content marketing strategies, collaborating with credible beauty vloggers, and encouraging positive customer reviews to enhance consumer trust and purchase intentions, while reevaluating and optimizing live streaming approaches to improve their impact on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Lifestyle, Brand Image, Brand Awareness, and Product Quality on iPhone purchasing decisions among college students in Purwokerto. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a survey method through questionnaires distributed to 108 students from three universities. Data analysis employed validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, F-tests, and t-tests using SPSS version 25. The results indicate that brand image and product quality have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, while lifestyle and brand awareness do not show significant effects. The regression model obtained an Adjusted R Square of 0.572, meaning that 57.2% of purchasing decisions are explained by the four variables studied. These findings suggest that rational cognitive evaluation through product quality and emotional affective responses related to brand image are dominant factors influencing iPhone purchasing decisions among students in Purwokerto.

Practically, companies must strengthen the implementation of GCG and CSR to increase firm  value.Novelty -  This study extends prior research by adding managerial ownership and interest rates to the analysis of firm value. Abstract

Fluctuations in the profitability of the property and real estate sector in the 2022-2024 period demand more adaptive financial strategies. This study evaluates the role of operational efficiency and funding structure in determining the financial performance of 46 property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The novelty of this study lies in the examination of capital structure variables, which provides a new perspective on the effectiveness of debt under dynamic interest rate conditions. The findings indicate that accelerated asset turnover (Total Asset Turnover) and large company scale (Size) are the main drivers of increased profitability. Conversely, high reliance on debt (Capital Structure) actually becomes a financial burden that significantly depresses net income. The level of liquidity (Current Ratio) does not guarantee effective profit generation, indicating that excessive cash management without productive investment does not add value. Overall, this model is able to explain 80.8% of the variation in profitability. These results strengthen the relevance of signaling theory and pecking order theory and provide strategic guidance for management to prioritize asset efficiency over increasing debt burdens to maintain business sustainability.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of board diversity (gender, nationality, and age) and institutional ownership on company performance and risk among companies listed on the LQ45 index from 2020 to 2023. This study employs a quantitative approach, utilising secondary data collected from company annual reports. The sample comprises 25 companies and 100 observations spanning 4 years. The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression in StataMP 17 to determine the influence of independent variables on company performance, measured by Return on Assets (ROA), and on company risk, calculated using the Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER). The results indicate that board diversity has a significant positive effect on ROA, while gender and age diversity do not show a substantial impact on company performance. On the other hand, institutional ownership has a significant adverse effect on ROA, indicating that higher institutional ownership tends to reduce a company's performance. All independent variables also had no significant impact on company risk (DER). These findings suggest that, although board diversity and institutional ownership can theoretically enhance oversight and decision-making, their practical implications remain limited due to the low proportion of female, foreign, and young directors, as well as the lack of active institutional involvement. This study contributes to the corporate governance literature in the Indonesian capital market and suggests that future research should include mediation or moderation variables to gain a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of environmental performance, institutional ownership, and debt costs on financial distress in companies in the energy, raw materials, and industrial sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from annual reports. The population of this study is companies in the energy, raw materials, and industrial sectors listed on the IDX from 2020 to 2024. With purposive sampling, there are 155 samples based on PROPER certificate ownership and institutional ownership structure. The analysis was conducted using logistic regression with SPSS 26. The control variables used were Total Asset Turnover (TATO), Firm Age, and Firm Size. The results show that debt costs, TATO, firm age, and firm size have a significant effect on financial distress. Meanwhile, environmental performance and institutional ownership do not have a significant effect on financial distress. This study emphasizes the importance of financing structure management, particularly debt costs, in maintaining corporate financial stability. Debt costs play a decisive role in increasing the risk of financial distress if not managed properly. This study reinforces the relevance of trade-off theory in the context of corporate financing in the energy, raw materials, and industrial sectors.

Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing the effects of financial literacy, technology adoption, and government policies in influencing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Banyumas, with financial inclusion acting as a mediator. This study utilizes a quantitative method through a convenience sampling approach, gathering data from a sample of 200 MSME stakeholders. Data has been processed using Structural Equation Modelling-Pooled Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via SmartPLS Software Version 3.0. The results show a significant positive effect of financial literacy, technology adoption, and government policies on financial inclusion. Financial literacy and technology adoption have a direct positive effect; in contrast, government policies have an insignificant direct effect, although a positive influence, on MSME performance. Financial inclusion has a surprisingly negative effect on MSME performance. However, financial inclusion still has a role as a mediator in MSMEs relating to performance among all financial literacy, technology adoption, and government policies. The observations from this paper provide an implication that financial inclusion plays a crucial role in determining business performance results. In practice, this paper supports promoting adaptive financial literacy, growth in technology adoption in financial services, and the development of policies tailored in accordance with local MSMEs. This study also enriches the literature by confirming the variation in the direction and strength of the relationship between variables in the context of developing countries, especially in non-metropolitan areas.
