Abstract

The growth of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) is critical to Indonesia's present economic development. This study has the purpose of examining how financial literacy, financial inclusion, and access to capital affect the performance of MSMEs in the Banyumas area. The performance of MSMEs is the dependent variable in this study, and the independent factors are financial literacy, financial inclusion, and access to finance. This study used partial Least Squares (PLS) to handle data in this work. Purposive sampling procedures were employed to select 127 MSMEs from a total of 8,559 MSMEs in the Banyumas Regency as research participants. The study's main findings of the relationship between the three variables of financial literacy, financial inclusion, and access to capital on MSME performance show that these three variables significantly influence MSME performance, both partially and simultaneously. As a result, MSMEs with a high degree of financial competence, simple access to finance, and suitable access to capital would improve MSMEs' performance in an area, resulting in the growth of the enterprises they manage. This research found that the financial literacy level of Banyumas MSMEs is quite high, available financial inclusion is easily accessible and sufficient access to capital can help MSMEs to improve their performance so that they can increase the development of the businesses they run.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the determinants influencing investment decisions among Generation Z in Banyumas Regency, Indonesia. This research focuses on the population of Generation Z individuals aged 18-27 years, with a sample size of 120 respondents selected through purposive sampling using the 10-times rule method. Data collection was conducted using a structured questionnaire based on a Likert scale to assess various factors, including financial literacy, financial behaviour, financial experience, and risk tolerance. The analysis employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using Smart PLS software, which facilitated the evaluation of both the outer and inner models to test validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing. The results show that financial literacy, financial behaviour and risk tolerance positively and significantly influence investment decisions among Generation Z respondents. These findings suggest that increasing financial literacy, improving financial behaviour and having good risk tolerance can lead to more informed investment decisions among this demographic. Meanwhile, financial experience does not affect investment decisions, indicating that Generation Z investors do not consider their financial experience in their investment decisions. The implications of this research highlight the importance of targeted financial education programs aimed at Generation Z to improve their investment decision-making capabilities. By fostering a better understanding of financial concepts and encouraging responsible financial behaviours, stakeholders can contribute to the development of a more financially literate and proactive generation of investors

Abstract

This study aims to explore the moderating role of good corporate governance in the relationship between financing decisions, investment decisions, dividend policy, and profitability on firm value. Utilizing a purposive sampling technique, we analyzed data from 85 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2020 to 2022, resulting in 195 unbalanced observations. Employing regression modeling with panel data, we conducted descriptive statistical tests, preliminary tests (Breusch-Pagan, Chow, and Hausman tests), diagnostic tests (heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation), and hypothesis testing. The findings reveal that while profitability positively influences firm value, financing, investment, and dividend decisions do not significantly impact it. Furthermore, good corporate governance enhances the relationship between profitability and firm value, with the presence of female directors contributing to increased profitability. However, female directors do not moderate the effects of financing, investment, and dividend decisions on firm value. This research underscores the importance of female leadership as a mechanism of good corporate governance in enhancing company value

The population in this analysis consisted of 129 Consumer Non-cyclical sector firms listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2020 to 2023. Using purposive sampling, a sample of 45 firms with 102 observations was generated. The data was analyzed quantitatively and processed using the SPSS program. The findings of this research show that Corporate Social Responsibility negatively impacts Financial Performance and Independent Commissioners positively and significantly affect Financial Performance. Then, the Board of Directors, Institutional Ownership, and Environmental Performance do not affect financial performance. This research implies that Consumer Non-cyclical sector firms can increase the ratio of independent commissioners to enhance their financial performance, and these firms need to revisit their CSR approach to ensure it contributes more effectively to financial performance.
