Abstract

The study entitled Characteristics of Food Tree Habitat and Langur Population in Jeruk Manis Tourism, Kembang Kuning Resort, TNGR aims to understand the role of habitat in the survival of the Javan langur (Trachypithecus auratus), an endangered primate species. The Javan langur functions as a natural seed disperser in the forest, and its presence is very important for the plant regeneration process. This study was conducted in November-December 2024 in Kembang Kuning Village, East Lombok, using the population census method and vegetation analysis. The research method includes collecting data on the langur population through the concentration method and vegetation analysis by creating sample plots measuring 20 x 20 m. The results showed that the langur population varied in various plots, with a higher proportion of adult individuals in some locations, indicating group stability. The data also showed that the bajur tree (Pterocarpus indicus) was the main food source with a high Importance Value Index (INP) value. This study provides insight into the composition and structure of vegetation in the langur habitat, as well as the importance of conserving this species in the face of threats from hunting and habitat loss. By understanding the characteristics of the habitat and distribution patterns of the langur population

Abstract

Octopus is one of the fisheries products that has high economic value and stable demand, especially from the export market. This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy of octopus in Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency, using a descriptive approach through SWOT analysis and EFAS and IFAS matrices. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and distributing questionnaires to 30 respondents consisting of fishermen and collectors. The results of the study indicate that the marketing strategy of octopus still faces a number of challenges, such as the weak bargaining position of fishermen, limited post-harvest handling facilities, minimal access to promotion, and high dependence on middlemen. The SO (Strength-Opportunity) strategy is the most recommended strategy, especially by encouraging digital promotion and the formation of fishermen's institutions to expand market access.

Abstract

West Nusa Tenggara Province faces low GRDP growth and significant economic disparities among its districts and cities. This study aims to analyze economic growth and development inequality using the Williamson Index, Klassen Typology, and Location Quotient methods. The Williamson Index shows high inequality, with values approaching 1 from 2018 to 2022. Klassen Typology categorizes districts into four quadrants: fast-growing (West Sumbawa, Mataram City), developing (Dompu, Bima City), developed but under pressure (West Lombok, Central Lombok, East Lombok, Sumbawa, Bima, North Lombok), and none in the underdeveloped category. The Location Quotient analysis highlights sectors with growth potential; however, some regions still rely on imports to meet local demand. The findings suggest targeted policies to enhance sector development and reduce economic disparities, fostering sustainable growth and improving welfare in West Nusa Tenggara Province.

Abstract

Host plants play an important role in the survival of butterflies, especially in the larval phase which is highly dependent on certain types of plants to obtain nutrients and essential chemicals. Various efforts need to be made to preserve the diversity of butterflies in the Gunung Tunak TWA Area through identification of butterfly larval host plants. This study was conducted to identify the diversity of butterfly larval host plants in the Gunung Tunak Nature Tourism Park, Central Lombok, NTB. Data collection was carried out using the exploration method for four days in two main locations, namely the breeding area and the observation route. The identification results found seven species of host plants, namely Pagoda (Clerodendrum japonicum), Biduri (Calotropis gigantea), Beringin (Ficus hispida), Aristukia (Aristolochia tagala), Bunga Air Mata Pengantin (Antigonon leptopus), Jeruk Purut (Citrus hystrix), and Jeruk Lemon (Citrus limon). Four of the seven plants found are hosts for butterfly larvae of the Nymphalidae family. Aristukia plants were only found in limited numbers, which may affect the survival of the protected butterfly species, Troides helena. These results emphasize the importance of conserving host plants to support the sustainability of butterfly populations in this area.

Abstract

Indonesia with its tropical climate, boasts abundant agricultural potential, including on Lombok Island. UMKM Agro Jamur Lombok is a promising white oyster mushroom cultivation business in this region, driven by high market demand. This research aims to analyze the production cost structure and business feasibility of white oyster mushroom cultivation at UMKM Agro Jamur Lombok. The study employed a descriptive quantitative method, collecting data through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and literature reviews. Data analysis included calculations of production costs (fixed and variable), revenue, income, and business feasibility using the R/C ratio, B/C ratio, and Break-Even Point (BEP). The research results indicate that UMKM Agro Jamur Lombok's total production cost in 2024 was IDR 197,100,000, with a revenue of IDR 336,000,000, yielding an income of IDR 138,900,000. The feasibility analysis showed an R/C ratio of 1.7047 and a B/C ratio of 0.7047, indicating that the business is feasible and profitable. Although there was a decrease in production due to damaged grow bags, the R/C ratio (1.6536) and B/C ratio (0.6536) after the decline still demonstrate business viability. However, there is a discrepancy between the BEP selling price of grow bags (IDR 8,213/unit) and the actual selling price in the field (IDR 4,000/unit), which requires further review regarding cost efficiency or market dynamics.

Abstract

Background: Mental health literacy is important as the prevalence of mental health disorders increases, while access to information through digital media on the internet is becoming more widespread. With the different characteristics and patterns of internet consumption in each generation, the level of understanding of internet-based mental health information is expected to vary. This study aims to examine the differences in internet-based mental health literacy among the Baby Boomer, X, Y, and Z generations in Indonesia. Subjects and Method: This study uses a cross-sectional study method with an online survey involving 400 respondents from various generation groups in Indonesia. The independent variables were Baby Boomer, X, Y, and Z generations. The dependent variable was internet-based mental health literacy. Generational difference data was measured using a questionnaire and internet-based mental health literacy understanding was measured using a modified internet-based health literacy scale (eHEALS) questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis Test and the Mann-Whitney as the post hoc test. Results: The results of the study show that generation Z has a higher level of internet-based mental health literacy. The Kruskal-Wallis test shows that there is a statistically significant difference in internet-based mental health literacy between generations (p=0.025). The results of Mann-Whitney show that internet-based mental health literacy of baby boomers vs. generation X (p= 0.006) and baby boomers vs. generation Z (p=0.005) is significantly different. Conclusion: There are significant differences in internet-based mental health literacy between generations. These findings emphasize the importance of an intergenerational approach to online mental health education programs, so that information can be accessed and understood properly by all age groups.

Abstract

Some semiparametric regression model approaches include spline, kernel, Fourier series, and wavelet. Semiparametric regression modelling can involve more than one independent variable (multivariable), a parametric approach is usually combined with one of the nonparametric approaches, such as combining a parametric approach with a nonparametric kernel. If a consumer price index model can be built based on the variables that influence it, predictions of consumer price percentages can be made, which it is hoped will help the government determine policies to control consumer price inflation, especially in NTB Province. The data used in this research includes the consumer price index and the factors that influence it according to districts/cities in NTB Province from 2022 to April 2024. The data source was obtained from secondary data at BPS NTB Province. This research design uses a mixed semiparametric approach of truncated spline and kernel regression. Based on calculations, the predicted results of the consumer price index in NTB Province show that the predicted data graph is very close to the actual data . Modelling the consumer price index in NTB Province is a model with 2 knot points, where the model efficiency has the smallest GCV value of 0.001507. The model goodness value is 0.99, meaning that the variables used can explain 99% of the model variability.
