Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang dilaksanakan, antara lain: 1) Focus Group Discussion mengenai pemahaman guru dalam memetakan profil gaya belajar siswa, minat dan pengetahuan awal melalui tes diagnostik, 2) Pendampingan pembuatan E-LKPD berbasis liveworksheet, 3) Pendampingan praktik pembelajaran yang berdiferensiasi pada kurikulum merdeka sehingga dihasilkan guru model yang akan menjadi acuan bagi guru lainnya. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat antara lain: 1) Guru telah memiliki dan mendapat bimbingan dalam menggunakan aplikasi tes diagnostik untuk mengetahui gaya belajar siswanya, 2) Merancang LKPD sesuai gaya belajar siswa, 4) Memahami pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dalam mendukung kurikulum merdeka, 5) Menghasilkan video guru model yang melaksanakan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan dan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Motivasi belajar siswa adalah faktor kunci yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan akademik. Berpikir kritis melibatkan kemampuan untuk menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan menciptakan solusi terhadap suatu masalah. Pembelajaran biologi, dengan kompleksitas dan dinamika materi yang diajarkan, memberikan kesempatan yang baik bagi pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap motivasi belajar dan tingkat berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran biologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptip kualitatif dengan melakukan studi Pustaka dan observasi langsung kesuatu sekolah. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mengetahui gambaran secara utuh mengenai suatu permasalahan. Berdasarkan observasi yang telat dilakukan di SMA N1 PERCUT SEI TUAN ditemukan bahwa masih rendahnya motivasi belajar dan tingkat berfikir kritis siswa dalam pemebelajaran biologi. Selaian itu sumber belajar pada juga masih kurang memadai sehingga guru kerap memberikan penugaran ppt dan review jurnal kepada siswa. Pendidikan diharapkan mampu dapat menghasilkan peserta didik yang mempunyai kualitas hidup sebagai individu yang kreatif, inovatif dan berkompetensi secara global.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam menerapkan model Project Based Learning dan mengatasi manajemen waktu dan penyediaan alat pada saat pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada peserta didik tentang pentingnya manajemen waktu bagi peserta didik dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar Di SMA 21 Medan. Dengan memahami hal ini, maka peserta didik mampu mengatur waktu dan mendisplinkan diri supaya apa yang akan di kerjakan dapat terlaksana dengan efektif dan efesien. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan melakukan studi pustaka dan observasi langsung di sebuah sekolah. Hasil berdasarkan studi literatur ini menunjukkan model pembelajaran PjBL ini memerlukan waktu yang sesuai dan ditentukan terlebih dahulu, guru dapat memberikan bimbingan atau pengarahan sebelum pembuatan produk sehingga pengolahan waktu lebih optimal dan penggunaan alat-alat yang diperlukan harus disediakan oleh pihak sekolah

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis masalah terbukti dapat meningkatkan perhatian dan ketertarikan siswa. Akan tetapi, pembelajaran berbasis masalah menjadi tidak efektif jika siswa tidak berminat terhadap permasalahan yang akan dipecahkan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan bantuan media pembelajaran untuk merangsang minat belajar siswa. Media yang dapat diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran antara lain; media foto, video, teks, poster, dan Power Point. PowerPoint dipilih untuk mendukung model Problem Based Learning. PowerPoint merupakan media yang bersifat multimedia yang sangat tepat untuk mengatasi permasalahan di atas.

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effect of Project Based Learning Model with STEM approach to students' critical thinking skills on Human Excretion System material in class 8th grade at SMP Negeri 37 Medan. This research used quantitative methods with the type of research quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The sample of this study consisted of two classes randomly selected by simple random sampling technique, namely in class VIII-D and VIII-F. The first sample is an experimental class that was taught using the PjBL-STEM learning model, and the second sample is a control class that was taught using conventional learning methods. The research instrument that was used included critical thinking skills test instrument using essay questions totaling 5 questions. Analysis of research data used the Independent Sample T-Test test using SPSS version 26.0. The pretest data results of students' critical thinking skills in class VIII-D and class VIII-F are 33.71 and 29.35. After obtained the results of the initial ability of students by looking at the pretest results in both classes, class VIII-D was selected as the experimental class and class VII-F as the control class. The posttest data in the experimental class and control class are 80.00 and 52.58. Based on the hypothesis test, the calculated t value is 12.761 > t table 1.671, and the significance value is 0.000 < ????, with ???? = 0.05, so H0 is rejected and Ha was accepted, which meant that there was an effect of the PJBL-STEM model on the critical thinking skills of students on the material of the excretory system. The influence of the PJBL-STEM model on students' critical thinking skills was categorized as strong with a cohen's d value of 3.242. It can be concluded that the PJBL-STEM model have an effect on students' critical thinking skills with a strong effect category.

Abstract

This research study aims to determine the 21st Century Skills Profile of students in the research methodology course for the 2018 Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, State University of Medan. This research was conducted in December-March 2021 in the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNIMED. This study used a mixed descriptive method with a sequential explanatory strategy and a sampling technique, namely random sampling of 109 students. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis techniques for quantitative data and interactive analysis for qualitative data. Data were collected using a questionnaire and interview instruments. The results showed the 21st Century Skills Profile of students in the research methodology course for the 2018 Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, State University of Medan was included in the good criteria with a percentage of 77,81%.

Abstract

This study aims to see the feasibility based on the assessment of material experts, language and learning experts, design experts, the responses of educators and students as well as the effectiveness of the Student Worksheets Based on PjBL Using Liveworksheet on Temperature and Heat Material to Increase Student Learning Outcomes at VII Junior High School students. The sample of this study was students of class VII-5, totaling 32 people. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The instrument used in this study consisted of a material expert validation questionnaire, language and learning experts, design experts, a questionnaire for educators and students' responses. The test is in the form of an essay to measure the level of students' learning outcome on Temperature and Heat material. Based on the results of the study obtained data from material expert validation of 84%, validation of language and learning experts 97,33% and validation of design experts 82,66% with each in the strongly feasible category. The response of students with 32 people was 85,33% and teacher response was 92% in the strongly feasible category. So based on the results of the students’ worksheet validation, this is suitable for use in the learning process. Students’ worksheet which is designed effectively to increase students' learning outcomes, the results of students' learning outcomes are obtained with an average N-Gain value of 0.72 with high criteria.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the problem of student learning styles in group learning and product targets in making project assignments. The aim of this research is to find solutions that can be used to solve problems at SMAS Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan School through Project Based Learning (PjBL). The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The subjects in this research were students of SMAS Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan. This research uses surveys and literature to collect data. Research findings show that the use of the PjBL model can improve students' collaboration abilities in group learning. Students and teachers can utilize available resources to ensure that the tools and materials used by students are accessible. The conclusion of this research is that the PjBL learning model can be an effective solution in overcoming student learning style problems and optimizing product targets in working on project assignments in groups.

Abstract

This research was carried out at the State High School 13 Medan. The population of this study was 32 pupils and 2 biology teachers. The evaluation methods used in this research are quantitative methods and library studies. Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a good learning atmosphere and produce good students anyway. The Merdeka Curriculum is a curriculum with diverse intra-curricular learning where content is more optimal so that students have enough time to deepen concepts and strengthen skills. One of the schools that implemented the Merdeka curriculum is the SMAN 13 Medan. Results found from observations of problems or shortcomings in the PjBL learning model are available in time, cost, and LKPD.

Abstract

Keterampilan abad ke-21 adalah kompetensi yang penting untuk sukses di dunia modern. Kemampuan rata-rata literasi sains peserta didik di Indonesia berdasarkan hasil studi PISA dari tahun 2000 memperoleh sekor 383 menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik di Indonesia menduduki peringkat ke 66 dari 80 negara, sedangkan literasi digital Indonesia yang mendapatkan nilai sedang yaitu berada di angka 3,47. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh model Argument Driven Enquiry (ADI) berbantuan vitural laboratory untuk meningkatkan literasi sains dan literasi digital mahasiswa Prodi IPA Universitas Negeri Medan. Jenis Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi-eksperimen, Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas yang mengambil matakuliah Dasar-dasar IPA dan laboratorium pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan two group pretest-posttest design. Instrumen penelitian untuk literasi sains 30 soal pilihan ganda mengunakan frameworl PISA 2018, literasi digital berupa angket berjumlah 298 pertanyaan menggunakan A Global Framework of Reference on Digital Literacy Skills” (UNESCO, 2018). Hasil uji multivariate menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi 0,000 0,05 artinya H0 ditolak sehingga dapat disimpulkan bawah pengaruh signifikan penerapan model pembelajaran ADI berbantuan virtual laboratory terhadap literasi sains dan literasi digital mahasiswa Prodi IPA Universitas Negeri Medan yang mengambil matakuliah Dasar-dasar IPA dan laboratorium tahun ajaran 2023-2024. Efektifitas ADI berbantuan virtual laboratory memperoleh nilai N-gain 0,81 dengan kategori tinggi, sedangkan kelas yang kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Direct Intruction memperoleh nilai N-gain 0,52 dengan kategori sedang
