Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 membawa perubahan bagi semua orang untuk menggunakan teknologi dalam menjalankan aktivitas dari rumah, bahkan berbagai aktivitas lain juga dilakukan di rumah. Proses pengajaran yang awalnya dilakukan secara langsung atau tatap muka beralih dengan memanfaatkan teknologi. Dengan adanya pandemi ini membawa dampak yang siginifikan dalam praktik Microteaching. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan Microteaching selama pandemi Covid-19, (2) menjelaskan efektivitas penggunaan media YouTube sebagai pelaksanaan Microteaching, (3) mendeskripsikan pengalaman mahasiswa PBSI FKIP UMS dalam Microteaching menggunakan media YouTube. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini informasi lisan, tulis, dan tindakan mahasiswa ketika praktik Microteaching berlangsung. Adapun data dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari kumpulan refleksi serta hasil penyebaran angket dan wawancara mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta yang mengikuti mata kuliah Microteaching pada tahun 2021 sejumlah 151 mahasiswa dari 8 kelas. Adapun sumber data sekunder yaitu artikel yang berjudul “Adaptasi Program Microteaching bagi Calon Guru Bahasa Indonesia pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19” Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, angket, studi dokumen, dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskripsi kualitatif dengan beberapa langkah yaitu mengumpulkan data, mereduksi data, menyajikan data, serta menarik kesimpulan dan memverifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut (1) pelaksanaan Microteaching selama pandemi Covid-19 dilakukan secara daring (dalam jaringan). (2) Media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam Microteaching secara daring yaitu dengan menggunakan media YouTube. Media ini dipilih karena sesuai dengan karakteristik mahasiswa dan juga mudah untuk diakses. Selain itu, media pembelajaran yang digunakan harus bisa dapat membantu proses pembelajaran untuk dapat mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang sebelumnya telah ditentukan. (3) Banyak pengalaman yang didapat oleh mahasiswa ketika memanfaatkan YouTube sebagai media dalam Microteaching.Pengalaman tersebut berupa pengambilan, pengeditan, dan pemberian ilustrasi pada video serta pengunggahan video. Kesimpulan yaitu media YouTube menjadi salah satu media interaktif yang efektif untuk digunakan mahasiswa dalam membagikan video praktik atau video pembelajaran, karena aplikasi YouTube mudah untuk diakses, sesuai dengan karakter siswa, serta menyediakan berbagai bahan pembelajaran secara gratis.

Abstract

Through the literacy movement, it is hoped that schools can foster student creativity, especially the ability to read and write. As in SMP Negeri 1 Simo, which implements the school literacy movement as a way to develop student creativity. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on how schools develop student creativity through reading literacy movements. This research used a qualitative case study approach, namely by collecting data from observations, interviews, document analysis, and documentation. The type of research used in this writing process is a case study that analyzes how the efforts of SMP Negeri 1 Simo to foster student creativity through reading literacy movements. The results showed: (1) the reading literacy movement at SMP Negeri 1 Simo was carried out every day before class hours began and every Friday on the 3rd week of each month, a joint literacy program was held in the schoolyard. (2) every Friday the 3rd week of each month students communicate the literacy program that has been implemented through skills, either by reading poetry, drama, then some paint together at school. (3) every 4th week students must collect the results of literacy in the form of works, then the literacy manager will carry out an assessment. If the work is good, it will be posted on the wall or on display around the school environment where a special place has been made to display / post student work. (4) with the various efforts that have been made, the school has succeeded in publishing a magazine every year. The magazine is the work of SMP Negeri 1 Simo students.

Abstract

Chairil Anwar's poems have been discussed by dozens of Indonesian literary critics and academics. Even so, there could still be cases of incorrect identification of Chairil Anwar's poetry by Indonesian literary academics. This article is an investigative research article. Data was obtained from surveys through cyberspace using the Google search engine with certain keywords and applying snowballing techniques. In order to enrich the data in explaining cases of incorrect identification of Chairil Anwar's poetry, class simulations were carried out. The first class simulation resulted in findings of the phenomenon of information overload as the cause of the identification of Chairil Anwar's poetry. In another class simulation, it was found that artificial intelligence in open-access conversation formats such as the GPT Chat which was just present at the time this article was written needs to be closely observed for its development and potential in literary learning. The conclusion of this article is that there is an urgency to increase Indonesian literary literacy in literary learning in tertiary institutions as well as the need for its integration with digital literacy learning.Keywords:  Literary Myopia, Digital Literacy, Information Overload, Artificial Intelligence, ChatGPT

Abstract

Educational Game is an application package that is used as a tool that aims to encourage students to undergo learning activities. The objectives of this study are (1) to describe educational games based on Macromedia Flash for Indonesian language learning in junior high schools; and (2) to describe the results of implementing Macromedia Flash-based educational games with the Fisher Yates Shuffle algorithm in learning Indonesian in junior high schools. The research approach is a qualitative descriptive research. The research is based on case studies with subjects and objects that focus on class VIIIC students and Indonesian language teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Jatisrono. Data collection techniques are by using observation techniques, questionnaires, interviews, and tests. The research sample is 30 VIIIC students. Data analysis is guided by Miles & Huberman's view which consists of three streams of activities that occur simultaneously, namely: data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions/verification. The data validity test was carried out using source triangulation technique. In connection with the research results based on eight indicators, it can be understood that the level of student activity in learning Indonesian based on educational games based on Macromedia Flash with the Fisher Yates Shuffle algorithm has increased. The percentage of 87% of students explained that the Macromedia Flash application based on the Fisher Yates Shuffle algorithm was able to increase student activity. This research encourages the integration of technology in the world of education. Flash-based games can offer interactive and dynamic content, enhancing the learning experience.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education needs collaboration between school principals, teachers, and researchers. One form of collaboration is between universities and religious educational bodies such as Aisyiah, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah, Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah. The purpose of this activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers in developing teaching materials based on Quran translation text. The methods applied in this activity are lectures, question and answer, assignments/practices, and clinics. The workshop activities were carried out with presentation of material by the resource person to provide knowledge, examples of developing teaching materials, showing the relevance of basic competence, material, and Quran translation text. The activity was continued by carrying out an exercise in the preparation of teaching materials by integrating Quran translation text and a clinic to provide input. The results showed that this activity was beneficial for the participants as they acquire knowledge and skills in developing teaching materials by integrating Quran translation text. Participants get numerous insights and knowledge obtained to be applied in the world of education and teaching - learning process.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 menimbulkan dampak terhadap budaya literasi di SMK Sukawati Gemolong menjadi terganggu bahkan terhenti. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta melaksanakan kegiatan KKN yang bertujuan untuk menghidupkan kembali budaya literasi di SMK Sukawati Gemolong yang terhenti akibat pandemi covid-19. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa KKN-Dik UMS di SMK Sukawati Gemolong pada  1 Februari hingga 5 Maret 2021. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode difusi iptek yang dilakukan melalui dua tahap, yaitu tahap observasi dan pengembangan solusi. Hasil kegiatan ini berupa informasi bentuk infografis yang paling diminati siswa yaitu infografis yang berwarna nyentrik dan disertai dengan gambar. Siswa juga paling minat dengan bentuk font yang beragam dan memasuk-kan teks berupa poin dengan jelas dan singkat. Berdasarkan analisis terhadap kegiatan KKN ini, infografis dapat menghidupkan kembali bu-daya literasi siswa di SMK Sukawati Gemolong. Bentuk infografis Bu-daya literasi perlu terus dilestarikan karena dengan begitu informasi dan pengetahuan siswa akan semakin luas dan informasi maupun penge-tahuan yang diperoleh tersebut dapat bermanfaat bagi dirinya sendiri dan masyarakat.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang dapat memberikan peluang pengembangan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat terutama peningkatan karakter profetik melalui kegiatan optimalisasi peran Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Sumberjatipohon, Rt 04/Rw 01 Kecamatan Grobogan, Kabupaten Grobogan sejak 01 Februari sampai 06 Maret 2021. Pengabdian ini dapat terlaksana dengan baik karena didukung oleh masyarakat sekitar. Adapun tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah optimalisasi karakter profetik yang didapatkan anak-anak Desa Sumberjatipohon melalui beberapa kegiatan pada Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pendampingan secara langsung, seperti kegiatan belajar Iqra, membaca Al-Quran, menyaksikan tayangan yang memiliki nilai edukasi, dan bimbingan belajar. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah penguatan karakter profetik pada anak setelah intensif mengikuti kegiatan di Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran

Abstract

Digital literacy is one of the abilities that students must have in this digitalization era. However, the facts on the ground show that digital literacy in Vocational High Schools (SMK) has not been properly realized. From the survey results, it was found that students at Muhammadiyah Kartasura Vocational School and Muhammadiyah 4 Surakarta Vocational School were less proficient in using Microsoft Powerpoint. The purpose of carrying out this service is to increase digital literacy at SMK Muhammadiyah Kartasura and SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Surakarta. The stages carried out in the service include Pre-Test, mentoring, and Post-Test. The form of community service is in the form of mentoring and training with a participatory approach. Meanwhile, the implementation of activities is divided into several stages, namely licensing, mentoring, and evaluation. The mentoring method is by direct practice regarding the features of Microsoft PowerPoint directly and providing experience to students. The results of the service show that students are proficient in digital literacy. Previously, students were not familiar with the various features of Microsoft PowerPoint. However, after this activity, students became proficient in using the features contained in Microsoft PowerPoint. This community service has reached the target as evidenced by increasing students' skills in understanding Microsoft PowerPoint, gaining experience through practices that can produce product outputs in the form of PowerPoint and increasing digital literacy for students at SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Surakarta and SMK Muhammadiyah Kartasura. Microsoft PowerPoint digital literacy skills have increased from before and after the dedication as evidenced by the increase in pre-test and post-test results. It can be concluded that this activity can improve students' digital literacy skills. This community service activity has the hope that students who already have initial skills regarding making Microsoft PowerPoint from the results of community service can continue to practice. In addition, the school can facilitate by continuing to assist in strengthening continuous digital literacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan novel saman karya Ayu Utami dalam sudut pandang feminisme radikal dan potensinya sebagai bahan edukasi kesetaraan gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang didapat berupa data tertulis berupa kalimat bentuk feminisme radikal dalam novel Saman karya Ayu Utami.  Sumber data merupakan objek feminisme radikal dalam bentuk teks yang terdapat dalam novel Saman karya Ayu Utami yang terbit pada tahun 1998 dengan jumlah 206 halaman, pendapat teman sejawat, dan beberapa penelitian mengenai feminisme radikal dan edukasi kesetaraan gender sebagai referensi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi yang melibatkan catatan, buku, atau dokumen serta pendapat teman sejawat dari angket yang diberikan penulis berkaitan dengan data yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian ini berupa deskripsi gambaran feminisme radikal dalam novel Saman karya Ayu Utami dan potensi penelitian ini sebagai bahan edukasi kesetaraan gender. Dalam penelitian ini menemukan gambaran feminisme radikal yang memuat tiga jenis, yaitu: kekerasan fisik terhadap perempuan, eksploitasi perempuan, dan peran perempuan. Data yang ditemukan lebih mendominasi jenis kekerasan fisik terhadap perempuan. Bahan ajar dalam penelitian ini berbentuk handout yang bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi serta gagasan terkait dengan edukasi kesetaraan gender. This study aims to describe the novel Saman by Ayu Utami from the perspective of radical feminism and its potential as an educational material for gender equality. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data obtained is written data in the form of sentences of radical feminism in the novel Saman by Ayu Utami.  The data source is the object of radical feminism in the form of text contained in the novel Saman by Ayu Utami published in 1998 with a total of 206 pages, peer opinions, and several studies on radical feminism and gender equality education as references. Data collection techniques used documentation techniques involving records, books, or documents as well as peer opinions from questionnaires given by the author related to the data under study. The result of this research is a description of radical feminism in the novel Saman by Ayu Utami and the potential of this research as a material for gender equality education. This study found a description of radical feminism that contains three types, namely: physical violence against women, exploitation of women, and the role of women. The data found dominates the type of physical violence against women. The teaching materials in this research are in the form of handouts that aim to provide information and ideas related to gender equality education.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has inspired the writing of short stories. Suara Merdeka, and Kompas contain short stories set against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic. These stories have the potential to become educational materials to strengthen the character of global diversity. The aims of this study are (1) to find short stories set in the Covid-19 pandemic in newspapers, (2) to analyze the values in short stories that have the potential to be used as educational materials to strengthen the character of global diversity. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Data in the form of words, sentences, and paragraphs with data sources from short stories set in the Covid-19 pandemic published in Kompas, Solopos, and Suara Merdeka April–September 2020 editions. Data collection uses reading, listening, and note-taking techniques. Theoretical triangulation was used for data validation. Data analysis used heuristic and hermeneutic techniques. The results of this study are as follows. (1) Found 15 short stories set in the Covid-19 pandemic in the April–September 2020 editions of Kompas, Solopos, and Suara Merdeka newspapers. The background of the Covid-19 pandemic in this story can be found through story topics explicitly related to the pandemic, (2 ) Found 7 short stories that contain values supporting characters of global diversity. These values are: maintaining tradition, tolerance for diversity, having multiple points of view in looking at problems, and having a global perspective. These values have the potential to become educational materials that can strengthen the character of global diversity through the appreciation of short stories AbstrakPandemi Covid-19 memberi inspirasi penulisan cerita pendek. Suara Merdeka, dan Kompas memuat cerita pendek yang berlatar pandemi Covid-19. Cerita-cerita ini berpotensi menjadi bahan edukasi untuk memperkuat karakter berkebinekaan global. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) menemukan cerita pendek yang berlatar pandemi Covid-19 di surat kabar, (2) menganalisis nilai-nilai dalam cerita pendek yang berpotensi sebagai bahan edukasi penguat karakter berkebinekaan global. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data berupa kata, kalimat, dan paragraf dengan sumber data cerita pendek berlatar pandemi Covid-19 yang dipublikasikan di Kompas, Solopos, dan Suara Merdeka edisi April–September 2020. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca, simak, dan catat. Triangulasi teori digunakan untuk validasi data. Analisis data menggunakan teknik heuristik dan hermeneutik. Hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut.  (1) Ditemukan 15 cerita pendek yang berlatar pandemi Covid-19 di surat kabar Kompas, Solopos, dan Suara Merdeka edisi April–September 2020. Latar pandemi Covid-19 dalam cerita ini dapat ditemukan melalui topik cerita secara eksplisit terkait dengan pandemi, (2) Ditemukan 7 cerita pendek yang mengandung nilai-nilai pendukung karakter berkebinekaan global. Nilai-nilai tersebut adalah: memelihara tradisi, toleransi terhadap keanekaragaman, memiliki banyak sudut pandang dalam melihat masalah, dan berwawasan mendunia.  Nilai-nilai ini berpotensi menjadi bahan edukasi yang dapat memperkuat karakter kebinekaan global melalui apresiasi cerita pendek.
