Kualitas air baku, terdapat 1 DAMIU (1,75%) kategori MS, 56 DAMIU (98,25%) kategori TLS. Peralatan dan proses pengolahan, terdapat 29 DAMIU  (50,88%) kategori MS, 28 DAMIU (49,12%) kategori TMS. Perilaku operator, terdapat 3 DAMIU (5,26%) kategori MS, 54 DAMIU (94,74%) kategori TMS. Sanitasi bangunan terdapat 10 DAMIU (17,54%) kategori MS, 47 DAMIU (82,46%) kategori TMS. Kualitas mikrobiologi Coliform air minum isi ulang terdapat 26 DAMIU (45,61%) kategori MS, 31 DAMIU (54,39%) kategori TMS.

Abstract

The number of bacteria in the inpatient rooms of RSUD Dr. M. Haulussy Ambon HospitalPurpose The purpose of this study was to determine the total number of germs and identify factors related to the number of germs in the inpatient wards of RSUD dr. M. Haulussy Ambon Hospital.MethodsThis observational study used a cross-sectional design. The space objects used for samples were internal wards, surgical wards, and neurological wards of RSUD. Dr. M. Haulussy Ambon.ResultsThe temperature had a significant relationship with the number of morning air germs. Lighting had a significant relationship with the numbers of germs in the afternoon air and on the afternoon floor.ConclusionsThis study showed that the number of germs in the air, on the walls, and floors in the hospital wards of Dr. M. Haulussy Ambon did not fulfil the requirements according to Kepmenkes no. 1204/Menkes/SK/X/2004. It is necessary to improve the quality of temperature and lighting in order to reduce the number of germs in hospital wards.

Abstract

Physical environment factors of stilt houses affecting incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in the district of Bima, West Nusa TenggaraPurposeThis research aimed to determine factors in the physical environment of typical houses on stilts affecting the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis acid fast bacilli positive in the district of Bima, West Nusa Tenggara. MethodsThis study used a matched case control design to examine the relationship between specific effects with certain risk factors. There were 76 total respondents, with 38 in the case group and 38 in the control group. ResultsBivariate analysis showed that residential density (p=0.001; OR= 5.7), lighting in bedroom (p=0.029; OR=32), nutritional status (p=0.029; OR=3.2) were statistically associated with the incidence of smear-positive pulmonary tuberculosis at typical stilt houses in Bima. The most dominant risk factor in the incidence of smear-positive pulmonary tuberculosis in typical Bima stilts houses was the residential density.ConclusionResidential density, natural lighting in bedrooms were not risk factors, while malnutrition status increased the probability for prevalence of pulmonary tuberculosis acid fast bacilli positive in houses on stilts typical in the district of Bima.

Abstract

Purpose: Water refill depots have increased in all areas of Indonesia. Many studies have reported concerns about the bacteriological quality of drinking water at refill depots. However, limited studies have focused on ensuring the safety and quality of drinking water in refill depots, particularly for small-scale depots. This paper examines water microbiological quality at the refill depots and their depot production inspections from the local public health authority.Method: This survey used  60% of depots (47 out of 77 depots in the district) from April 4th to May 31st, 2016, in the North Luwu District of Central Sulawesi. Water samples were taken for E. coli and coliform examination. In-depth interviews were conducted with environmental health officers at the local health authority, depot owners, and workers. Results: Almost half of the total depots (49%) failed to meet the hygiene standard. Site observation found that depots were with poor sanitation and poor water handling. Depot owners found the cost of two times a year of the bacteriological examination was too expensive, including the transportation cost of water samples to the available closest laboratory in the provincial capital. Conclusion: Depots with non-standard bacteriological quality were still high. Supervision of the depot by the district health office was very loose. Efforts to advocate the district health office to take a more assertive position are critical. Community organizations and refill water depot associations should be involved so that public health interests get attention from the local government.
