Abstract

A production building is one of important buildings in a factory. A lot of factories in Indonesia are still considered labor intensive factories. People need a convenient place to work to produce quality products. A discomfort workspace condition for workers often causes not only poor productivity but also poor quality of product. Therefore, it is important to create healthy working environment for workers. Air comfort is determined at least by five factors that are temperature, relative humidity, oxygen content, air pressure and air flow. Common working space in a production building is a huge space, so it is almost impossible to apply air conditioner system to such a big space due to too high investment cost and operational cost and economically unfeasible. In tropical region, oxygen content, air pressure and air flow can be controlled by letting the fresh air from outside to enter the building. Air movement will also lower temperature sensation on human skin. Commonly in factories, the managements equip the factories with fans to improve air comfort in the production building. However, this current research found that improper fan system configuration and direction does not help to improve air comfort and even worsens the air condition because the air movement blown from improper fan configuration and direction can cancel each other and trap the heated air recirculated inside the building. This research found that arranging the fans in one direction will poster air movement from one end to the other end of building as well as keep the fresh air entering building from one side and the used air exiting the building through the other side. Because a fan is not a cooling device, the air temperature inside the building similar to that of fresh air, but the air movement pushed by the fans will reduce temperature sensation on human around 2 0C.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat oleh dosen dengan objek sasaran pada manajemen Sekolah Islam Terpadu (SIT) Aliya di Kota Bogor, melalui ide, implementasi, dan pendanaan mandiri. Tujuan observasi awal ini, yaitu pemaparan dan penjabaran sejumlah topik yang berkaitan dengan disiplin keilmuan di bidang keteknikan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan untuk pemaparan sejumlah topik, dilakukan melalui penerbitan surat permohonan dari Direktur SIT Aliya ke Dekan Fakultas Teknik dan Sains (FTS), penerbitan surat tugas dari Dekan FTS, dan penyampaian sejumlah topik disertai deskripsi yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi SIT Aliya, sedangkan penjabaran lebih lanjut terhadap topik yang disepakati, dilakukan melalui penjabaran dalam rentang waktu dan kesempatan dan tinjauan lapangan dan pengukuran sejumlah parameter. Hasil kegiatan berkenaan dengan sejumlah topik di bidang keteknikan, berupa pemaparan dan diskusi yang telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 16 dan 24 Oktober 2019, sedangkan penjabaran berkenaan dengan sejumlah topik yang disepakati, berupa kegiatan presentasi dan diskusi yang dilaksanakan pada hari Kamis, 21 November 2019 dan ditundaklanjuti dengan tinjauan lapangan dan pengukuran parameter. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimupulkan, bahwa topik-topik sesuai disiplin keilmuan di bidang keteknikan dan pemilihan topic yang disepakati untuk kondisi kekinian dan kedisinian di lingkungan SIT Aliya Kota Bogor sangat relevan dan diperlukan.

Abstract

Measurements of SF6 dissociation rate due to 75 μA positive and negative coronas have been carried out using a mass spectrometer. The results show that the rates of SF6 degradation and by-product production due to a positive corona are significantly higher than those for a negative corona. The rates of degradation and production of SF6 and gaseous by-products are proportional to the charge transported by the corona.Both positive and negative coronas produce the same major gaseous by-products, SiF4, SO2F2 and SOF2.Besides gaseous by-products, coronas also produce solid by-products, metal fluorides. Due to the impact of high-energy electrons and F¯, the positive electrode is always more coated and damaged than the negative electrode.

Abstract

Civil administration of services that goes on the Departement of Population and Civil Registration, inKarawang Regency's are experiencing delays in the issuance of KTP-el, many citizen who have carryKTP-el recording in their respective Districts, in reality there are still many residents who have notreceived KTP-el because the issuance exceeds the time set. The aims of this research is to understandcomprehension how the service inside process of issuing KTP-el and specifically to find out the servicein the process of issuing KTP-el at the Department of Population and Civil Registration Karawang andthe solution to people who have multiple data. This type of study is descriptive research using a qualitativethrough case study methods. Data collection methods have the shape choise of in-depth interviewsthrough key informant's, immediate observation of the practice of services and documentation proceeds.The analysis technique uses data source triangulation. Based on the discussion and results regardingServices in the Process of Issuance of KTP-el can be states that the stages of KTP recording serviceshave been registered and running well through in the population database using the application of SIAK,the problem that occurs is the limited KTP-el blanks that have an impact on delays in the process ofissuing KTP-el which should be resolved within fourteen working days and the implementation of lifelongKTP-el with the concept of the One Day Service Catpil as a medium for submitting data unification andsubmitting new KTP-el issuance.

Abstract

Brakes are a tool for slowing down or stopping a vehicle while it's in motion. They also serve as a safety mechanism when a vehicle is parked or at a stop. Brakes can convert kinetic and potential energy into heat through the frictional process between brake pads and the rotor, leading to heat transfer. In the world of transportation, analyzing the heat generated by the vehicle's brakes is a crucial process for evaluating and enhancing braking system performance. In this study, simulations were conducted on the brake rotor (drum brake) of a minibus with vehicle masses of 3500 kg and 5000 kg, using Abaqus software. Five different speed variations were considered: 60 km/h, 70 km/h, 80 km/h, 90 km/h, and 100 km/h. The simulation results for the vehicle with a mass of 3500 kg showed progressively increasing maximum temperatures in the brake rotor: 87.82°C, 106.55°C, 163.69°C, 216.34°C, and 275.04°C for the respective speeds. In the simulation with a vehicle mass of 5000 kg, the maximum rotor temperatures were 108.45°C, 126.33°C, 207.9°C, 269.03°C, and 299.31°C. Higher braking speeds result in higher heat generation in the brake rotor. However, the temperature increase is not linear concerning vehicle speed. The vehicle's mass significantly influences the heat generated in the rotor during braking. At the same speed, a higher-mass vehicle will produce more heat.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to study the effects of alternative medium composition on micropropagation of Phalaenopsis amabilis.   The species   is one of the most important “queen   of   flower“commodities   in      Indonesia   and   it   can   increase   domestic   incomes. Completely randomized design was used for the experiment. The experiment used a single factor, multiplication media, consisted of 6 different compositions, i.e. VW + BAP 2 ppm, VW+ coconut water 150 ml/L, VW + Ambon banana extract 50 gt/L,  POY + BAP 2 ppm,  POY+ coconut water 150 ml/L, POY + Ambon banana extract 50 gt/L . Parameters observed were the number of shoots, leaves and roots.  The results showed that addition of coconut water, banana extract, and BAP on media VW (Vacin and Went) or POY (liquid organic fertilizer Yoga) were not significantly different.  Shoot number obtained was as many as 2 shoots. Key words:  coconut water , banana extract, liquid organic fertilizer, Phalaenopsis

Abstract

Salah satu tindakan untuk menghentikan emisi terutama pada beberapa negara maju adalah secara bertahap menghentikan penjualan mobil baru yang berbahan bakar fosil, dan beralih menggunakan mobil listrik yang menggunakan baterai sebagai penyimpan energi. Salah satu kendala pemakaian mobil listrik adalah pengisian ulang baterai memerlukan waktu lama. Diperlukan suatu cara atau teknologi yang dapat memperpanjang jarak tempuh baterai pada mobil listrik, misalnya dengan melakukan pengisian ulang baterai pada saat mobil sedang berjalan dengan menggunakan pembangkit listrik yang ada pada dirinya sendiri. Penelitian ini mengkaji potensi pembangkitan listrik pada mobil dengan memanfaatkan getaran mekanik mobil yang sedang berjalan, khususnya dari getaran mekanik shockbreaker mobil dengan menggunakan piezoelektrik sebagai komponen yang mengkonversi energi getaran mekanik menjadi energi listrik. Empat buah piezoelektrik digunakan; dua buah disusun secara seri dan dua buah disusun secara paralel. Rangkaian piezoelektrik dipasang di dalam silinder padat berbahan nilon yang dilindungi stainless ST41 kemudian silinder tersebut dipasang pada shockbreaker mobil, sehingga getaran shockbreaker dialihkan ke piezoelektrik. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan mobil di jalan utama dengan kecepatan sekitar 70 km/jam. Arus dan tegangan diukur menggunakan multimeter setiap kilometer dan dirata-ratakan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dua piezoelektrik yang dirangkai seri menghasil daya rata-rata 0,9 watt, dan dua piezoelektrik dirangkai parallel menghasilkan daya rata-rata 0,5 watt. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengubahan getaran mekanik pada mobil menjadi listrik berpotensi sebagai sumber listrik tambahan untuk mengisi ulang baterai mobil listrik sambil berjalan sehingga dapat memperpanjang jarak tempuh baterai.

Abstract

Telah dirancang bangun once-through boiler dengan kapasitas 18 kg/jam berbentuk bejana tertutup yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan uap (steam). Metode once-through boiler atau boiler sekali laluan adalah boiler yang tidak memiliki aliran balik atau searah yang dimana hasil dari proses boiler akan langsung dikeluarkan ke feed tank. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis kinerja boiler kapasitas 18 kg/jam yang dirancang bangun. Pengujian dilakukan selama 20 menit pada hasil rancang bangun boiler metode once through menggunakan bejana yang berdimensi diameter dalam 280 mm dan tinggi 220 mm, serta dinding luar berdiameter 380 mm dan tinggi 430 mm. Bejana tersebut memiliki spesifikasi coil tembaga 3/8-inch atau 9,52 mm. Media pemanas minyak digunakan sebanyak 19-liter serta sumber energi dari gas LPG. Pada menit ke 20 dengan laju aliran massa sebesar 18 kg/jam atau 0,005 kg/s dapat menghasilkan puncak panas minyak dengan suhu 140,1°C serta suhu air yang didapatkan pada preheat (masukan pada boiler) sebesar 86°C serta uap yang dihasilkan (keluaran boiler) ada pada suhu 111,6°C. Boiler yang dibuat menghasilkan kalor sebesar 13,439 kW dan kualitas uap yang dihasilkan menyentuh 100% sehingga menghasilkan efisiensi boiler secara keseluruhan sebesar 20%.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in increasing the activeness and understanding of students in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMP IT Ar-Ridha Pantai Cermin. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a field approach. Data collection was done through observation, interviews, and documentation, and using Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques. The research subjects included Islamic Religion teachers and class VIII students. The results showed that the application of PBL succeeded in increasing the activeness and enthusiasm of students, reducing boredom, and deepening understanding of the material through solving problems relevant to everyday life. Supporting factors for the implementation of PBL include the availability of adequate learning resources and the active involvement of students, while inhibiting factors include limited time and learning facilities. PBL implementation also involves five main stages, namely orientation to the problem, organising students, guiding investigation, presenting results, and evaluation.

Abstract

Kehadiran berbagai lembaga pembiayaan konsumen turut membawa andil yang besar dalam pembangunan ekonomi masyarakat khususnya masyarakat yang kesulitan berhubungan dengan bank. Tujuan penelitian Untuk mengetahui, memahami dan menganalisis faktor penyebab pelaku melakukan tindak pidana, pertanggungjawaban pidana pelaku tindak pidana dan dasar pertimbangan Hakim dalam menatuhkan pidana terhadap pelaku tindak pidana. Metode penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan normatif empiris. Hak milik atas benda jaminan fidusia telah beralih kepada kreditor penerima fidusia, sehingga yang bersangkutan berkedudukan sebagai pemilik sempurna atas benda jaminan fidusia. Dalam rangka melindungi kepentingan kreditor penerima fidusia seandainya debitor penerima fidusia wanprestasi, yang dengan sendirinya kreditor penerima fidusia mempunyai kewenangan untuk menjual benda objek jaminan fidusia melalui pelelangan umum atau secara di bawah tangan.
