Abstract

The demands of the 21st century extend beyond the mere mastery of knowledge; they require individuals to develop a robust set of skills, particularly in understanding complex concepts. This research focuses on creating Student Worksheets rooted in the Project Based Learning model to enhance students' comprehension in biology. To achieve this, the research employs the 4D development model, which includes four phases: Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. Data collection involved validating the product's feasibility, gathering feedback from both teachers and students, and conducting pretests and posttests, followed by N-Gain analysis. The data analysis encompassed three main techniques: validity analysis, practical analysis, and effectiveness analysis. The findings indicated a high degree of validity, with material validation reaching 93% (categorized as "very valid"), media validation at 99. 16% (also "very valid"), and question validation at 83. 33% ("very valid"). The practical assessment from teacher responses yielded a remarkable 97%, classified as "very practical," while student responses reflected a score of 93. 03% in the same category. Additionally, the N-Gain results revealed an average improvement in students' concept understanding of 0. 8, categorized as "very effective. " In conclusion, the evidence from the validity, practical, and effectiveness assessments strongly suggests that these Student Worksheets can significantly enhance students' understanding of key biological concepts

Abstract

Abstrak. Beberapa penelitian telah menyebutkan efektivitas Lesson Study (LS) pada proses pembelajaran. Namun, belum ada penelitian bibliometik terhadap perkembangan LS di dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pandangan terhadap penelitian LS yang berkembang dari tahun 2012-2023 melalui analisis bibliometrik. Sebanyak 683 artikel dikumpulkan melalui database Scopus. Hasil visualisasi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 27 tema penelitian yang tersebar dalam 8 klaster. Dari hasil tersebut, ditemukan bahwa tren penelitian LS pada tahun 2012-2016 berfokus pada peningkatan pembelajaran melalui penelitian tindakan, pemecahan masalah, fenomenografi, pengembangan guru, reformasi sekolah, dan pembelajaran profesional. Pada tahun 2017-2020, penelitian LS berfokus pada studi kasus, keberlanjutan, lingkungan belajar, pengetahuan guru, pendidikan guru awal, pendidikan guru, kolaborasi, berpikir kritis, kepemimpinan, sekolah dasar, pengembangan profesional guru. Sementara itu, pada tahun 2021-2023, penelitian LS berfokus pada lesson study online, pendidikan tinggi, komunikasi, pendidikan inklusif, dan keyakinan guru. Analisis dan visualisasi bibliometrik mengungkapkan bahwa dari tahun 2012-2023 tren penelitian LS semakin berkembang seiring dengan meningkatnya hasil publikasi dan kutipan. Penelitian ini juga menggambarkan peluang publikasi di berbagai negara yang memiliki minat tinggi terhadap penelitian LS. Oleh karena itu, temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan untuk penelitian LS lebih lanjut. Abstract. Several studies have mentioned the effectiveness of Lesson Study (LS) on learning process. However, bibliometric governing LS is scarce. This study aims to provide a bibliometric view of LS research that develops from 2012-2023. A total of 683 articles were collected through the Scopus database. The visualization results showed that there were 27 research themes distributed in 8 clusters. From these results, it was found that LS research trends in 2012-2016 focused on improving learning through action research, problem-solving, phenomenography, teacher development, school reform, and professional learning. In 2017-2020, LS research focused on case studies, sustainability, learning environment, teacher knowledge, initial teacher education, teacher education, collaboration, critical thinking, leadership, primary school, teacher professional development. Meanwhile, in 2021-2023, LS research focuses on online lesson study, higher education, communication, inclusive education, and teacher beliefs. Bibliometric analysis and visualization revealed that from 2012-2023 the trend of LS research is growing along with the increasing results of publications and citations. This study also illustrates publication opportunities in various countries that have a high interest in LS research. Therefore, this finding is expected to be a reference for further LS research.

Abstract

The Minasari Koperasi Unit Desa (KUD) has an important role in helping local fishermen increase their income through increasing production capacity and productivity, expanding employment opportunities, and expanding the marketing reach of fishery products. However, in the process KUD Minasari faces several challenges and opportunities that can affect the sustainability and growth of its business. This research aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities faced by KUD Minasari, a fisheries cooperative in Pangandaran Regency. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a field study approach based on primary data obtained through visits, interviews and internal document review. KUD Minasari faces a number of challenges, such as dependence on one business unit, namely the Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI), low technology adoption, and limited digital marketing. Less active member involvement and non-compliance with cooperative rules are also problems that result in slow development of cooperatives. This research also found opportunities for business diversification, increased use of technology, and market expansion through digital marketing strategies. By utilizing the potential of other business units, cooperatives can reduce the risk of dependence on TPI.

Abstract

Cooperatives are business entities that play a crucial role in developing the economic potential and capabilities of their members, with the goal of improving their welfare. The Universiti Kebangsaan (UNIKEB Berhad) Cooperative in Malaysia is one such multi-purpose cooperative that has successfully fulfilled its role despite facing various business challenges. This cooperative, which primarily comprises academic staff and students, has been operating for over five decades and manages business units that include real estate (property leasing), retail, financing, gas station management, and Ar-Rahnu (pawn services). This research aims to analyze the role and performance of UNIKEB Berhad Cooperative in promoting the economic sustainability of its members. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing secondary data from UNIKEB Berhad as well as interviews and discussions with the management, supervisors, and members of the cooperative. The findings indicate that UNIKEB Berhad Cooperative has successfully acted as a platform to promote the economic welfare of its members, reflected in its operational growth and stability over more than five decades. The cooperative has also managed to analyze the business challenges it faces, including declining member participation, liquidity constraints, dependence on external funding, and decreasing dividends or profit-sharing. Based on this analysis, UNIKEB Berhad Cooperative has effectively evaluated and designed three strategies to promote the long-term economic sustainability of its members, focusing on funding structure, governance, and member commitment. These findings provide important implications for cooperatives facing similar business challenges in formulating appropriate strategies.

Abstract

The maternal mortality rate (MMR) in Indonesia remains high at 305 per 100,000 live births, falling short of the target of 183 per 100,000 live births set for 2024. Puskesmas Slawi, a health center in the Tegal Regency, reported two maternal deaths in 2024 due to eclampsia and bleeding. Preliminary studies conducted at Puskesmas Slawi from June to July 2023 revealed that out of 34 pregnant women, 73.5% were anemic, 20.5% were of advanced maternal age, and 52.9% had more than two pregnancies. This study employed a correlational design and was conducted at Puskesmas Slawi in Tegal Regency from June to July 2024. The sample comprised 34 mothers in labor, utilizing secondary data for analysis. The data were processed using SPSS software and analyzed with the Chi-square statistical test. The chi-square analysis yielded a p-value of 0.687 for age, indicating no significant relationship between age and the incidence of anemia at Puskesmas Slawi, Tegal Regency. Conversely, the analysis revealed a p-value of 0.031 for parity, suggesting a significant association between parity and the incidence of anemia in the same setting. Age does not have a significant association with the incidence of anemia among pregnant women at Puskesmas Slawi, Tegal Regency; however, parity is significantly related to the occurrence of anemia in this population.

Abstract

Dengue virus infection (IVD) is still a health problem in Indonesia. In Karangbangun Matesih Karanganyar Village, there were 13 cases of IVD in April 2024. The government program to eradicate IVD vectors has not been implemented optimally. Karangbangun Village has potential healthcare resources to be used as agents for eradicating IVD vectors. So far there has been no education about the function of jumantik as larva monitors and mosquito nest eradication (PSN). Therefore, it is necessary to provide education about the function of jumantik and PSN to health cadres in Karangbangun Village. The aim and benefit of this community service activity is that the health cadres of Karangbangun Matesih Karanganyar Village understand the function of jumantik and PSN. The extension activity was preceded by a pretest, and speaker presentation and ended with a posttest. The results of the education showed an increase in health cadres' knowledge after the education based on a comparison of pre-test and post-test scores (p<0.001; Effect Size (Cohen's d) = -1.993). Education about the function of jumantik and eradicating mosquito nests to health cadres in Karangbangun Village increased knowledge significantly and the average post-test score showed an increase.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kondisi geografis desa Karangbangun, Matesih, Karanganyar secara teori relatif kurang berisiko untuk mengalami kejadian infeksi virus dengue (IVD). Akan tetapi, fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa terjadi 13 kasus IVD pada bulan April 2024. Sumber daya desa Karangbangun strategis dalam mendukung pemberantasan IVD. Sumber daya manusia berupa kader gizi dan kader kesehatan yang potensial di desa Karangbangun potensial untuk ditingkatkan dalam rangka eradikasi IVD. Sumber daya tersebut perlu dilakukan edukasi untuk optimalisasi eradikasi IVD. Selama ini belum ada edukasi yang tepat mengenai hal tersebut sehingga perlu diadakan edukasi mengenai penyakit IVD beserta faktor risiko yang memperberat IVD. Tujuan dan manfaat kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah kader kesehatan dan kader gizi desa Karangbangun, kecamatan Matesih memahami tentang IVD beserta faktor risiko yang memperberat IVD. Penyuluhan kesehatan dengan melakukan pretes dan postes pasca penyuluhan dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah permasalahan mitra. Hasil penyuluhan adalah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan kader kesehatan pasca penyuluhan berdasarkan perbandingan median nilai ptretes 6 (2) dan postes 7 (2) dengan nilai p=0,002 dan rB=0,59. Edukasi kesehatan terhadap kader kesehatan desa Karangbangun dengan metode ceramah berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan kader mengenai IVD dan faktor risiko yang memperberat IVD.   ABSTRACT The geographical conditions of Karangbangun Village, Matesih, Karanganyar, are theoretically considered to have a relatively low risk of dengue virus infection (DVI). However, field data revealed 13 DVI cases in April 2024. Karangbangun Village has strategic resources to support DVI eradication, including potential health and nutrition cadres who can be further empowered. These resources require education to optimize DVI eradication efforts.  Currently, there is no adequate education on this matter, highlighting the need for awareness programs on DVI and its aggravating risk factors. The goal and benefit of this community service activity are to equip health and nutrition cadres in Karangbangun Village, Matesih District, with knowledge about DVI and its risk factors. A health education session, including pre- and post-tests, was conducted to address partner issues. The results showed an increase in cadre knowledge, with a median pre-test score of 6 (2) and a post-test score of 7 (2), yielding p=0.002 and rB=0.59. Health education through lectures successfully improved cadres' understanding of DVI and its risk factors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai organoleptic kue lumpur kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) dengan kulit dan tanpa kulit. Jenis penilitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan rancangan acak lengkap. Uji organoleptik dilakukan melalui uji hedonik terhadap 3 jenis kue yaitu kue lumpur tepung (X1), kue lumpur kentang tanpa kulit (X2) dan kue lumpur kentang dengan kulit (X3). Data uji hedonik dianalisis dengan uji Friedman pada taraf nyata 5% menggunakan SPSS 21. Jika berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai organoletik kue lupur, yaitu:  (1) perlakuan x2 untuk warna memperoleh nilai 4 yang termasuk dalam kategori suka; (2)  perlakuan x2 dan x3 untuk aroma memperoleh nilai 4 yang termasuk dalam kategori suka; (3)  perlakuan x2 untuk tekstur memperoleh nilai 4,44 yang termasuk dalam kategori suka, dan (4) perlakuan x2 untuk rasa memperoleh nilai 4,33 yang termasuk dalam kategori suka. secara keseluruhan responden lebih menyukai organoleptik kue lumpur pada perlakuan X2 dengan nilai 4,56 yang termasuk dalam kategori suka. Hasil uji statistik Friedman diperoleh nilai p < 0,05, sehingga Ho dotolak dan Ha diterima artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan nilai organoleptik kue lumpur berbahan kentang tanpa kulit dan kentang dengan kulit. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) nilai organoleptik kue lumpur yang paling disukai oleh responden adalah kue lumpur berbahan kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) tanpa kulit, (2) ada perberbedaan yang signifikan nilai organoleptik kue lumpur berbahan kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) tanpa kulit dan kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) dengan kulit, dan (3)  hasil penelitian dapat digunakan sebagai media edukasi sumber zat besi pada masyarakat dalam bentuk pamflet.

Abstract

Highlights: There is still a medium incidence of anemia in infants aged 6-12 months. Pregnant women with high BMI and excessive weight gain are more likely to have anemic infants. Nutrient intake for pregnant women and infants is essential to determining the incidence of anemia.   Abstract Introduction: Children are more likely to experience psychological and motor developmental difficulties if they or their mothers have anemia. This study aimed to describe the maternal body mass index (BMI) during gestation and the prevalence of anemia in children aged 6-12 months. Methods: This descriptive study was conducted during integrated service post (posyandu) activities in Sidodadi, Pondok Kelapa, Central Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu, Indonesia, in February 2023, involving the collection of Maternal and Child Health Handbook (KIA) records and blood sampling on children. A total sample of 35 pairs of mothers and children was collected. The data in this study were analyzed using the Fisher test, with a p-value of <0.05 indicating an association between the variables tested, and employing the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26.0 for Windows. Results: Underweight mothers had one child with anemia (2.9%), mothers who had normal BMI had five children with anemia (14.3%), overweight mothers had two children with anemia (5.7%), whilst obese mothers had four children with anemia (11.4%). Fisher’s exact test results showed no significant difference in the anemia status of children between underweight to normal BMI mothers, as well as when compared to overweight to obese mothers, with a p-value of 0.261 or >0.05. Conclusion: There was no significant difference in the anemia status of children with underweight up to normal maternal BMI mothers and overweight up to obese mothers.

Abstract

Transformasi digital menjadi kebutuhan mendesak dalam peningkatan pelayanan publik, termasuk di tingkat kelurahan. Kelurahan Srimulya di Palembang masih menggunakan sistem pengarsipan manual yang menyebabkan inefisiensi dalam pencarian data, risiko kehilangan arsip, dan keterbatasan ruang. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi sistem kearsipan manual dan merancang sistem filing elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi, ditemukan bahwa sistem manual tidak efektif untuk administrasi arsip di kelurahan Srimulya. Analisis SWOT digunakan untuk mengetahui kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman yang ada di kelurahan Srimulya mengenai arsip. Hal ini dianalisis untuk merancang sistem arsip yang adaptif, dengan fitur pencatatan, pencarian, pelaporan, dan pencadangan data. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan efisiensi waktu dan kemudahan akses arsip meningkat signifikan, menjadikan sistem ini solusi tepat guna di lingkungan kelurahan.
