Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengidentifikasi hambatan belajar siswa dalam menyelesaikan operasi hitung pembagian bilangan cacah di kelas III sekolah dasar. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan melibatkan 21 siswa sebagai partisipan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes uraian, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi, dengan instrumen yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami empat tipe hambatan belajar, yaitu: (1) hambatan konseptual dan relasional, ditandai dengan ketidaktahuan siswa terhadap hubungan antara pembagian dan perkalian; (2) hambatan representasional dan prosedural, berupa kesalahan dalam menafsirkan data visual dan pemilihan operasi yang tidak sesuai; (3) hambatan prosedural dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita, yakni ketidakmampuan menyusun langkah-langkah penyelesaian; serta (4) hambatan kontekstual, yang muncul saat siswa gagal menerapkan konsep pembagian dalam situasi nyata. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penggunaan media visual, alat peraga konkret, dan pendekatan kontekstual untuk memperkuat pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep dan prosedur pembagian dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the suboptimal use of teaching materials in mathematics learning, especially in spatial geometry material. In addition, educators have never implemented the use of ethnomathematics-based teaching materials in the learning process. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop teaching materials in the form of ethnomathematics-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) that highlight traditional Cilacap foods in spatial geometry material for grade IV Elementary School. This study uses the Educational Design Research (EDR) approach model of McKenney and Reeves (2012). The development of this LKPD was designed by considering three important requirements, namely didactic, constructive, and technical requirements. The LKPD design was arranged attractively using the Canva platform which is equipped with appropriate color and image displays. Product trials were conducted on grade IV students of SDN Karangpucung 05 and SDN Tayem Timur 01. The trial results showed that the response of students from SDN Karangpucung 05 was 95% and from SDN Tayem Timur 01 was 97%. Meanwhile, responses from educators showed a percentage of 96% at SDN Karangpucung 05 and 94% at SDN Tayem Timur 01. All responses were in the very appropriate category. Based on the validation results from material experts, as well as student and educator response questionnaires, it can be concluded that this ethnomathematics-based LKPD teaching material is suitable for use in mathematics learning in elementary schools. Keywords: Ethnomatematics, Geometry, Teaching Materials ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang optimalnya penggunaan bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya pada materi bangun ruang. Selain itu, pendidik belum pernah menerapkan penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis etnomatematika dalam proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis etnomatematika yang mengangkat makanan tradisional khas Cilacap pada materi bangun ruang untuk kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Educational Design Research (EDR) model McKenney dan Reeves (2012). Pengembangan LKPD ini dirancang dengan memperhatikan tiga syarat penting, yaitu syarat didaktik, konstruktif, dan teknis. Desain LKPD disusun secara menarik dengan menggunakan bantuan platform Canva yang dilengkapi tampilan warna dan gambar yang sesuai. Uji coba produk dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas IV SDN Karangpucung 05 dan SDN Tayem Timur 01. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa respon peserta didik dari SDN Karangpucung 05 sebesar 95% dan dari SDN Tayem Timur 01 sebesar 97%. Sementara itu, respon dari pendidik menunjukkan persentase sebesar 96% di SDN Karangpucung 05 dan 94% di SDN Tayem Timur 01. Seluruh respon tersebut berada dalam kategori sangat layak. Berdasarkan hasil validasi dari ahli materi, serta angket respon peserta didik dan pendidik, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar LKPD berbasis etnomatematika ini layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar. Abstract

who want to teach mathematics to students need to understand and know the material to be delivered. Understanding the meaning of mathematics itself is a fundamental key to achieving success in learning mathematics. Learning is a process carried out by individuals to obtain new behavioral changes as a whole as a result of experience in interacting with the environment. The need for a mathematics teaching module based on productive struggle through a problem-based learning approach. This learning is further developed, including Problem-Based Learning which has recently become famous in the world of education. Problem based learningcan provide skills in managing life for students to be able to overcome obstacles in their environment. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the need for a mathematics teaching module based on productive struggle through a problem-based learning approach on flat shape material carried out on grade IV teachers in Kawalu District. The results of this study indicate that teachers are active in implementing Problem Based Learning, but there are still obstacles in learning mathematics. In learning flat shapes, the teacher stated that one of the main objectives in learning mathematics based on the Independent Curriculum is to help students understand and develop mathematical material that includes facts, concepts, principles, operations, and mathematical relations. The process elements in learning mathematics also emphasize the importance of implementing and adapting effective strategies in solving everyday problems, which also serve as a means to reconstruct mathematical understanding. As part of the direction of the Independent Curriculum policy, the preparation of the Learning Implementation Plan has undergone significant changes compared to the previous curriculum in increasing learning motivation about the area of ​​flat shapes. Efforts to increase learning motivation through Problem based learningthe area of ​​flat shapes are carried out according to the steps based on the implementation cycle with the following steps: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Learning using the Problem based learningmodul can increase learning motivation about the circumference and area of ​​flat shapes in grade IV students.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a board game to enhance fifth-grade students' understanding of area concepts and the law of conservation of area in polygons. The research employed the ADDIE model, covering analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Expert validation and classroom trials were conducted to assess validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The results showed that the board game achieved a validity score of 89% (very feasible) and improved students' test performance by 23%. Students exhibited high engagement and active participation during learning activities. The study highlights the importance of integrating design elements such as layout, color, and illustration to support conceptual understanding. It concludes that well-designed board games can effectively foster critical thinking and motivation in elementary mathematics learning.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir aljabar penting dikenalkan sejak sekolah dasar sebagai bekal di jenjang selanjutnya. Namun, siswa masih mengalami hambatan belajar, sehingga diperlukan desain pembelajaran yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang desain didaktis berbasis pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) untuk mengatasi hambatan belajar dan mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah Didactical Design Research (DDR) yang meliputi tiga tahap: analisis prospektif, metapedadidaktik, dan retrospektif. Subjek penelitian adalah 27 siswa kelas 2C SDN Mangkubumi. Data diperoleh melalui tes diagnostik, wawancara, studi dokumen, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga jenis hambatan belajar, yaitu ontogenik, epistemologis, dan didaktis. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, peneliti menyusun Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) dan desain didaktis yang diimplementasikan dalam dua pertemuan. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa, meskipun masih diperlukan penyempurnaan desain agar lebih sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran papan berpaku pada materi sifat-sifat bangun datar untuk peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan ADDIE, yang mencakup lima tahap: analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap analisis, identifikasi kebutuhan dilakukan melalui observasi pembelajaran, wawancara dengan guru dan peserta didik, serta studi dokumen. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang digunakan di sekolah belum mampu memvisualisasikan konsep bangun datar secara optimal, serta perlu pengembangan dari segi ketahanan, keamanan, dan tampilan visual agar lebih menarik. Pada tahap desain, media dirancang berbentuk papan akrilik berukuran 60 x 60 cm, dilengkapi paku setinggi 1,5 cm dan karet berwarna sebagai alat bantu untuk membentuk berbagai jenis bangun datar. Proses pengembangan menghasilkan media yang dinyatakan sangat layak berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli, ditinjau dari aspek isi, tampilan, dan fungsionalitas. Uji coba di kelas menunjukkan bahwa media ini mudah digunakan oleh peserta didik dan mampu meningkatkan partisipasi serta pemahaman mereka terhadap materi. Tampilan media yang menarik juga mendukung keterlibatan aktif peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran papan berpaku dinilai efektif dalam membantu peserta didik memahami sifat-sifat bangun datar secara konkret dan sesuai dengan karakteristik belajar di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Kehidupan abad ke-21 menuntut siswa memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis, kolaboratif, kreatif, komunikatif, dan literasi teknologi. Namun proses pembelajaran masih didominasi metode ceramah, penggunaan LKPD yang belum maskimal, sehingga motivasi belajar rendah dan keterampilan tersebut kurang berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan LKPD-STEM berbantuan Augmented Reality (AR) untuk siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara dan studi literatur. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua guru dan tujuh siswa kelas IV dari dua sekolah dasar yang berada di Kota Tasikmalaya. Hasil menunjukkan guru memiliki kendala dalam menyediakan LKPD interaktif berbasis STEM, sedangkan siswa memiliki minat tinggi pada pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan praktikum. Pengembangan LKPD-STEM berbantuan Augmented Reality (AR) diharapkan mendukung pembelajaran aktif, interaktif, dan kontekstual, serta meningkatkan keterampilan abad ke-21.

Abstract

Low mathematics achievement at the primary school level in Indonesia remains a fundamental educational problem, as reflected in the 2023 National Assessment data, which shows that more than 60% of students have not yet reached the minimum numeracy competency standard. This condition highlights the urgent need for innovative, adaptive, and engaging learning approaches that can improve students' conceptual understanding of mathematics. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the GASING (Easy, Fun, and Interesting) method combined with multiplication dice games in improving primary school students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research employed a qualitative approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method guided by the PRISMA framework. Data were collected from 31 relevant scientific articles published between 2015 and 2025 and analysed using thematic coding and descriptive analysis to identify key research patterns. The findings indicate that the GASING method improves students' understanding of basic mathematical concepts while creating a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment. In addition, multiplication dice games increase students' motivation, engagement, and active participation in mathematics learning. In conclusion, the integration of the GASING method and multiplication dice games represents an effective strategy for improving mathematics learning outcomes and fostering meaningful learning experiences for prima.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan open ended berbasis productive struggle terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematis siswa, yang disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam memahami konsep dan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah 23 siswa kelas IV di salah satu SD negeri di Kota Tasikmalaya. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes uraian literasi matematis dengan empat soal yang telah divalidasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat dari 28,09 pada pretest menjadi 70,87 pada posttest. Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari pendekatan open ended berbasis productive struggle terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Abstract

The limited integration of local cultural contexts into mathematics instruction remains a significant gap, particularly in elementary education, where learning often emphasizes abstract concepts that are not connected to students’ real-life experiences. In addition, the availability of culturally based learning media that are both contextually relevant and empirically tested is still limited. This condition reduces student engagement and constrains the development of higher-order thinking skills. Therefore, this study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of culturally based learning media using upak nyamu to enhance elementary students’ critical thinking skills and support meaningful learning experiences. This study employed a Design-Based Research (DBR) approach involving 28 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through expert validation, observations, interviews, and pretest–posttest assessments. The results indicate that the developed media is valid and feasible, with a Content Validity Index exceeding 0.80 across all aspects. Students’ mean scores increased from 9.71 to 17.04, while the N-Gain score (0.0799) remained in the low category due to the short implementation period and the need for sustained use of ethnomathematics-based media. The findings show that integrating local cultural elements into mathematics learning enhances students’ understanding, engagement, and cultural awareness, and highlights the importance of culturally responsive pedagogy in creating meaningful and contextual learning environments.
