Abstract

Aims: Online learning causes mental health problems in students. Fatigue among students can hinder concentration, memory retention, and cognitive functioning, leading to decreased academic productivity, heightened stress, and disrupted personal and social lives. Screen fatigue among students can be attributed to factors such as prolonged screen exposure, inadequate breaks, poor ergonomics, multitasking, content nature, sleep deprivation, screen brightness, glare, visual discomfort, and reduced physical interaction during online classes. Method: This study used a quantitative descriptive design. The population in this study were first-year nursing students during online learning. The sample technique used total sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 180 respondents. Data collection used the Zoom Exhaustion & Fatigue Scale (ZEF Scale). Univariate data analysis to describe the frequency of screen fatigue levels in students. Results: The results of this study indicate that the majority of students have a moderate level of screen fatigue, namely 77 respondents (42.8%). Then respondents with low screen fatigue category were 45 people (25%). Then respondents with high screen fatigue category were 58 people (32.2%). This shows that student screen fatigue is still high, so lecturers and students must care about each other's mental health problems during online learning. Conclusion: Screen fatigue is a problem experienced by students during online learning, this data becomes data for universities to develop learning methods that are effective in reducing the problem of screen fatigue in students. Nursing Implications: The implication of this research is that there is data for universities and lecturers in providing psychological services to students during online learning.

Abstract

Aims: This research aimed to explore articles regarding physical exercise for children undergoing cancer treatment. Method: The research method used is scoping review. The process of doing a scoping review involves several steps, including developing research questions, establishing criteria for inclusion, a comprehensive search strategy, literature screening and selection, organizing data, and compiling, summarizing, and presenting the findings. The inclusion criteria encompassed full-text papers, namely randomized controlled trials or quasi-experimental research, published in English during the past decade (2014–2023). Pubmed, CINAHL, Scopus, and Proquest are used as search engines and database searches. Selected articles were extracted into charting data, analyzed with descriptive approaches, and the results reported. Results: The results found 14 articles, which were then categorized into three physical exercise programs, such as integrated physical exercise, technology-based physical exercise, and multimodal exercise. Outcomes obtained are cardiorespiratory fitness, motor performance, cancer-related fatigue, and quality of life. Conclusion: The side effects of cancer treatment in children may be mitigated through the implementation of physical exercise programs. This scoping review can be a consideration for optimizing pediatric nursing services by adding physical exercise interventions to the rehabilitation protocol as a supportive treatment for children who are currently undergoing cancer treatment.

Abstract

Aim: This study aims to determine the description of resilience in students at Bandung High School. Method: This study used a descriptive design with purposive sampling technique, involving 100 respondents consisting of students from grades X to XII aged 12 to 19 years. Data were collected using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), which consists of 25 statements with a score range of 0-100. The results of the validity and reliability tests showed that the instruments used were valid and reliable. Results: The results showed that 30% of respondents had a high level of resilience (30 students), 42% were at a moderate level of resilience (42 students), and 28% had low resilience (28 students). The average resilience score was 60.94, with a score range between 35 and 100. These findings indicate the need for special attention to students with low resilience, who are at risk for psychological problems such as anxiety and depression. Social support, coping skills, and specially designed intervention programs can help improve resilience among students. Conclusion: This study underscores the importance of understanding high school students’ resilience levels to support their mental and academic well-being. More effective support programs for students with low resilience are needed, as well as further research to explore factors that influence resilience.

Abstract

Independence in toileting is a skill that must be achieved throughout the stages of child growth and development. Toilet training (TT) is an important part of child development that can increase independence and minimize disturbances in bowel and bladder control in children. In general, this exercise is performed on children aged 12-36 months (toddlers) and children aged 48-60 months (preschool) depending on each child's readiness. This readiness is commonly shown by the emergence of a child's instinct to defecate or urinate independently. In this process, parents and caregivers play an important role in stimulating independence in children through TT. Unfortunately, most parents and caregivers may find it difficult to initiate, instruct, guide, and demonstrate TT for their child. This review aims to evaluate the effectiveness and applicability of various TT methods based on recent evidence. This review uses the scoping review design by including 3 databases in the search strategy: EBSCO-host, PubMed, and Scopus. All keywords used are synthesized from the PICO were “Toddlers” AND “Preschool Children” OR “Preschool Child” AND “Toilet Training” OR “Potty Training” AND “Toileting”.  This study only reviews the results of primary studies from the past five years (2018-2023), published in English or Bahasa, and with experimental designs. Children with a history of functional gastrointestinal and urinary tract disorders were excluded from the study. The methodological validity and risk bias of each study is included in this review using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) instrument. The main findings in this review study indicate that there are 7 types of toilet training interventions that have been developed and implemented. There are The AAP Guideline, The DAP Guideline, The Application of TT, AI Technology, Storytelling Treatment, Hypnoparenting, and TT Demonstration. Findings show that most interventions focus on individual or group settings with additional techniques like demonstration and storytelling. Parents and caregivers, including pediatric nurses, can consider TT method adapted from The AAP Guideline to improved toilet training process among toddlers and preschool-age children.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Bronchopneumonia is a respiratory problem that affects toddlers. This is caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, chemicals exposure, and lung structural damage. This infectious disease has impacts on growth and development and mortality in children. This research aims to describe nursing care related to ineffective airway clearance using hypertonic saline (HS) 3% NaCl as inhalation therapy in toddlers with bronchopneumonia. This research design used a descriptive method with a case study approach. Data collection was obtained through interviews with the client's family and 3 days observation and physical assessment to client. The instrument used was a patient assessment instrument from Hospital, SDKI, SLKI, and SIKI. The results of this research stated that the utilization of HS was effective in reducing the severity of bronchopneumonia symptoms such as increasing airway clearance and increasing oxygen saturation. HS was thinning phlegm and increasing cough reflex in toddlers. This is due to the hypertonic action mechanism, which disrupts sputum ion bonds which can reduce the binding and cross-linking in it, moisten the respiratory tract, and stimulate the release of prostaglandin E2 so the cilia move faster and stimulate the cough reflex. Keywords: 3% Nacl, Bronchopneumonia, Hypertonic Saline, Inhalation Therapy, Mucoactive Agent, Toddlers  ABSTRAK Bronkopneumonia adalah salah satu masalah pernapasan yang banyak menjangkit balita. Hal ini diakibatkan oleh bakteri, jamur, virus, kerusakan stuktur paru-paru, dan pajanan bahan kimia. Penyakit infeksi ini berdampak pada tumbuh kembang dan angka kematian pada anak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan asuhan keperawatan terkait bersihan jalan tidak efektif menggunakan cairan hipertonik salin berupa NaCl 3% sebagai terapi inhalasi pada balita dengan bronkopneumonia. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengambilan data diperoleh melalui wawancara pada keluarga klien dan observasi serta pemeriksaan fisik pada klien selama 3 hari. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen pengkajian pasien dari rumah sakit, SDKI, SLKI, dan SIKI.  Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa penggunaan hipertonik salin NaCl 3% efektif dalam menurunkan keparahan gejala dari bronkopneumonia seperti meningkatkan clearence jalan napas dan meningkatkan saturasi oksigen. NaCl 3% mengencerkan dahak dan meningkatkan refleks batuk pada balita. Hal ini disebabkan karena mekanisme kerja hipertonik yaitu mengganggu ikatan ion sputum yang dapat mengurangi keterikatan dan ikatan silang yang ada di dalamnya, melembabkan saluran pernapasan, serta merangsang pelepasan prostaglandin E2 sehingga gerakan silia lebih cepat dan merangsang reflek batuk. Kata Kunci: Agen Mukoaktif, Balita, Bronkopneumonia, Hipertonik Salin, Nacl 3%, Terapi Inhalasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT Nursing students are faced with achievement motivation challenges that can affect their academic and professional development. Contributing factors are high academic pressure, lack of social support, and low perception of the relevance of academic tasks in the nursing context. To describe achievement motivation in nursing students.  This study used a descriptive approach with data collection through the distribution of achievement motivation scale questionnaires that have been adapted for the nursing context. The research sample involved 270 active semester nursing students, and data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, specifically univariate analysis. The authors found that there were 184 students with a moderate level of achievement motivation (68.15%), 41 students had high achievement motivation (15.19%), and 45 students with low achievement motivation (16.67%). This shows that nursing students need to increase achievement motivation to adapt to the learning process. This study is expected to provide practical guidance for educational institutions and nursing practitioners in improving achievement motivation and well-being of nursing students. Keywords: Achievement Motivation, Nursing, Students  ABSTRAK Mahasiswa keperawatan dihadapkan pada tantangan achievement motivation yang dapat memengaruhi perkembangan akademis dan profesional mereka. Faktor-faktor penyebabnya adalah tekanan akademis yang tinggi, kurangnya dukungan sosial, dan persepsi yang rendah terhadap relevansi tugas-tugas akademis dalam konteks keperawatan. Untuk menggambarkan achievement motivation pada mahasiswa keperawatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui distribusi kuesioner achievement motivation scale yang telah diadaptasi untuk konteks keperawatan. Sampel penelitian melibatkan 270 mahasiswa keperawatan semester aktif, dan analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif, khususnya analisis univariat. Penulis menemukan bahwa terdapat 184 mahasiswa dengan tingkat achievement motivation sedang (68.15%), 41 mahasiswa memiliki achievement motivation tinggi (15.19%), dan 45 mahasiswa dengan achievement motivation rendah (16.67%). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa keperawatan perlu meningkatkan achievement motivation untuk beradaptasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan panduan praktis bagi institusi pendidikan dan para praktisi keperawatan dalam meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi dan kesejahteraan mahasiswa keperawatan. Kata Kunci: Achievement Motivation, Keperawatan, Mahasiswa

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui penerapan discharge planning dalam pemenuhan nutrisi pada anak post kemoterapi. Metode: Metode yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan metode deskriptif studi kasus dengan teknik pengambilan data berupa wawancara, observasi dan melakukan penerapan asuhan keperawatan melalui pendekatan discharge planning dengan pemberian discharge rutin terkait nutrisi. Penelitian dilakukan di RS Hasan Sadikin Bandung selama 4 hari pada orang tua anak post kemoterapi. Hasil: Hasil dari penerapan dicharge planning dengan fokus pemenuhan nutrisi pasien dengan pemberian discharge rutin pada orang tua terkait nutrisi pada anak kanker post kemoterapi yaitu terjadi peningkatan nafsu makan pada anak dan peningkatan kemampuan serta pengetahuan orang tua terkait nutrisi yang harus dipenuhi anak post kemoterapi. Kesimpulan: penerapan discharge planning dalam melakukan proses keperawatan dapat berpengaruh terhadap pemenuhan nutrisi anak, intervensi dapat diterapkan untuk mencegah adanya malnutrisi pada anak post kemoterapi.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Stunting adalah masalah pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak yang terkait dengan kekurangan gizi, paparan infeksi, serta kurangnya rangsangan yang memadai, dan menjadi isu kesehatan yang signifikan di Indonesia. Kabupaten Bandung berada di posisi kedua dalam hal tingkat kasus stunting tertinggi di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Peran keluarga, terutama ibu, tentu menjadi garda terdepan dalam pencegahan stunting pada balita. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah  memberdayakan keluarga untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku tentang deteksi dan intervensi dini stunting. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah orang tua dengan anak usia 0-5 tahun di Desa Jelegong, Kecamatan Rancaekek, Kabupaten Bandung sebanyak 36 orang. Kegiatan pemberdayaan terdiri atas pelatihan, observasi, dan penyuluan menggunakan metode ceramah. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 84% orang tua memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang baik, 64% orang tua memiliki sikap mendukung, dan 50% orang tua memiliki perilaku baik. Diharapkan pemberdayaan keluarga mengenai tumbuh kembang terus dilakukan secara berkala agar perilaku, sikap, dan pengetahuan orang tua akan pencegahan stunting dapat terjaga dan tidak mengalami penurunan. Kata Kunci: Anak Usia 0 – 5 Tahun, Keluarga, Pemberdayaan, Stunting ABSTRACT Stunting is a child growth and development problem associated with malnutrition, exposure to infections, and lack of adequate stimulation, and is a significant health issue in Indonesia. Bandung Regency is in second place in terms of the highest rate of stunting cases in West Java Province. The role of families, especially mothers, is certainly at the forefront in preventing stunting in toddlers. The purpose of this activity is to empower families to improve knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors about stunting detection and early intervention. The targets of this activity were 36 parents with children aged 0-5 years in Jelegong Village, Rancaekek District, Bandung Regency. The empowerment activities consisted of training, observation, and counseling using the lecture method. The results of the activity showed that 84% of parents had a good level of knowledge, 64% of parents had a supportive attitude, and 50% of parents had good behavior.  It is hoped that family empowerment regarding growth and development will continue to be carried out regularly so that parents' behavior, attitudes, and knowledge of stunting prevention can be maintained and do not experience a decline. Keywords:  Children Aged 0 – 5 Years, Empowerment, Family, Stunting

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pemanfaatan teknologi untuk memantau kesehatan balita berdampak besar dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan orang tua dalam proses pemantauan tumbuh kembang anak. Dengan teknologi  memungkinkan para ibu untuk berinteraksi dengan petugas kesehatan tentang perkembangan anak-anak mereka dengan lebih cepat dan mudah, sehingga meminimalkan kemungkinan keterlambatan dalam mendeteksi masalah Kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kader terkait pencegahan stunting pada balita, meningkatkan pengetahuan kader terkait cara melakukan pencatatan dan pelaporan pertumbuhan anak melalui SIP online sehingga dapat mengoptimalkan monitoring pertumbuhan balita berbasis teknologi. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan wawancara kepada kader Kesehatan terkait pemanfaatan SIP Online di wilayah tersebut. Sebagian besar kader kesehatan di Desa Jelegong sudah mengetahui pemanfaatan teknologi dalam monitoring pertumbuhan balita dengan menggunakan SIP Online. Perlu dilakukan evaluasi rutin terhadap kapasitas kader dalam memanfaatkan aplikasi SIP daring, serta pemahaman ibu tentang cara memantau pertumbuhan bayi secara digital. Kata Kunci: Balita, Kader Kesehatan, Monitoring, Pertumbuhan, Teknologi ABSTRACT The use of technology to monitor toddler health has a major impact on increasing parental involvement in the process of monitoring child growth and development. Technology allows mothers to interact with health workers about their children's development more quickly and easily, thereby minimizing the possibility of delays in detecting health problems. This study aims to improve the knowledge of cadres regarding the prevention of stunting in toddlers, improve the knowledge of cadres regarding how to record and report child growth through online SIP so that they can optimize technology-based toddler growth monitoring. The method used is counseling and interviews with health cadres regarding the use of Online SIP in the area. Most health cadres in Jelegong Village already know the use of technology in monitoring toddler growth using Online SIP. Routine evaluation of the cadre's capacity in utilizing the online SIP application, as well as mothers' understanding of how to monitor infant growth digitally, is needed. Keywords: Toddlers, Health Cadres, Monitoring, Growth, Technology

Abstract

Insidensi kenakalan remaja terus meningkat di setiap tahunnya. Dampak terberat dari kenakalan yang dilakukan adalah hukuman pengurungan di lapas. Perubahan lingkungan luar ke dalam lapas dapat mempengaruhi kondisi psikologis anak didik lapas diantaranya depresi berat, rasa cemas dan menarik diri dari lingkungan sosialnya, sehingga resiliensi yang baik sangat dibutuhkan remaja agar dapat beradaptasi dengan kehidupan di dalam lapas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi resiliensi pada remaja di LPKA Sukamiskin, Bandung. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif ini melibatkan seluruh populasi remaja di LPKA Sukamiskin sebanyak 191. Namun sebanyak 15 orang telah menjadi responden untuk uji validitas dan reliabilitas sehingga didapatkanlah 176 untuk sampel penelitian yang ditentukan dengan teknik total sampling. Data diambil menggunakan kuesioner Resilience Quotientdengan modifikasi yang telah melalui uji validitas (0.313 – 0.898) dan uji reliabilitas (alpha cronbach 0.96). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis data deskriptif (frekuensi dan persentase). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden (83,0%) memiliki resiliensi sedang. Sebagian kecil responden (8.5%) memiliki resiliensi tinggi dan sebagian kecil reponden lainnya (8.5%) memiliki resiliensi rendah. Komponen resiliensi tertinggi yaitu optimisme sedangkan komponen regulasi emosi, kontrol impuls, analisis penyebab masalah, empati, efikasi diri dan pencapaian aspek positif berada pada kategori sedang. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar andikpas termasuk ke dalam kategori resiliensi sedang. Resiliensi sedang bermakna andikpas sudah mampu untuk mengatasi masalahnya di LPKA Sukamiskin namun belum optimal sehingga perlu adanya upaya untuk meningkatkan resiliensi salah satunya dengan membuka jasa konseling bagi andikpas di LPKA Sukamiskin. Namun sebanyak 15 orang telah menjadi responden untuk uji validitas dan reliabilitas sehingga didapatkanlah 176 untuk sampel penelitian yang ditentukan dengan teknik total sampling. Data diambil menggunakan kuesioner Resilience Quotientdengan modifikasi yang telah melalui uji validitas (0.313 – 0.898) dan uji reliabilitas (alpha cronbach 0.96). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis data deskriptif (frekuensi dan persentase). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden (83,0%) memiliki resiliensi sedang. Sebagian kecil responden (8.5%) memiliki resiliensi tinggi dan sebagian kecil reponden lainnya (8.5%) memiliki resiliensi rendah. Komponen resiliensi tertinggi yaitu optimisme sedangkan komponen regulasi emosi, kontrol impuls, analisis penyebab masalah, empati, efikasi diri dan pencapaian aspek positif berada pada kategori sedang. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar andikpas termasuk ke dalam kategori resiliensi sedang. Resiliensi sedang bermakna andikpas sudah mampu untuk mengatasi masalahnya di LPKA Sukamiskin namun belum optimal sehingga perlu adanya upaya untuk meningkatkan resiliensi salah satunya dengan membuka jasa konseling bagi andikpas di LPKA Sukamiskin.
