Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the strategic utilisation of Indonesia’s demographic bonus to enhance cultural resilience. It explores how the youth population, as the largest productive demographic group, can be mobilised to preserve, adapt, and innovate traditional cultural practices amidst globalisation and societal transformations. The study also analyses how policy interventions, education, and digital advancements can ensure cultural sustainability and strengthen national identity for future generations. Study Design/Methodology/Approach: This research adopts a qualitative approach, employing a literature review and case study analysis. Data were collected through an extensive review of demographic trends, national policies, and cultural resilience strategies. Case studies from Indonesia and other nations that have successfully leveraged their demographic bonuses were examined to draw comparative insights Findings: The findings reveal that Indonesia’s demographic bonus presents both opportunities and challenges in maintaining cultural resilience. Strategies such as integrating cultural values into education, empowering youth through creative industries, and leveraging digital platforms for cultural promotion are essential. The study highlights the importance of multi-sector collaboration, involving government policies, community engagement, and private sector support to create a sustainable cultural ecosystem.Top of FormBottom of Form Originality/Value: This study contributes to the growing discourse on cultural resilience by establishing a direct link between demographic dividend management and cultural sustainability. It offers innovative policy recommendations for integrating cultural education, digital engagement, and youth empowerment to ensure Indonesia’s cultural heritage remains robust amid globalisation and social change. The study provides practical insights for policymakers, educators, and cultural stakeholders to optimise the demographic bonus as a strategic asset for national cultural development.

Abstract

Ikan tuna mata besar bigeye tuna (Thunus obesus lowe) merupakan salah satu komoditi unggulan terbesar di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Nizam Zachman (PPSNZ). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil tangkapan per upaya (CPUE), mengestimasi hasilyang didaratkan di PPSNZ. Berdasarkan analisis model schfaer hasil tangkapan maksimum lestari ( ) sebesar 5662,27 ton, upaya optimum 3542 trip, dan jumlah tangkapan yang diperbolehkan (JTB) 4529,82 ton dengan rata-rata tingkat pemanfaatan ikan tuna bigeye di WPP 572 dan 573 yang didaratkan di PPSNZ berada pada status moderate atau tingkat pemanfaatan sedang. Saran yang pengajuan berdasarkan penelitian ini adalah penelitian mengenai pendekatan secara bioekonomi dan pengaruh faktor oseanografi terhadap tangkapan, baik menggunakan penginderaan jauh secara satelit (seperti suhu permukaan laut) maupun observasi lapangan langsung menggunakan alat ukur oseanografi tertentu.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of the Discovery Learning model to enhance learning outcomes in Islamic Education. The research adopts a qualitative case study approach. Data collection methods include participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model (data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing). The findings demonstrate that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model positively influences multiple aspects of learning. These include the redesign of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum, intensive teacher training, structured lesson planning, and application of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based assessments. Notably, student participation transformed from passive to active, with marked improvements in critical thinking, learning motivation, understanding of religious concepts, and assessment outcomes. Around 80% of students showed enhanced motivation and engagement, and assessment results improved by approximately 20% compared to traditional methods. The implications of this study emphasize that Discovery Learning fosters not only cognitive mastery but also independent exploration and contextual application of Islamic teachings. This student-centered model bridges theoretical knowledge with real-world practice, making Islamic Education more relevant and impactful. However, its success is contingent on teacher readiness and continuous professional development. The research suggests that broader implementation across various educational institutions could contribute significantly to modernizing religious education practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

Air limbah rumah tangga sampai saat ini masih banyak yang dibuang kelingkungan secara sia-sia  bahkan  bila dibiarkan dapat berakibat pada pencemaran lingkungan. Air limbah yang dibuang ke lingkungan cukup potensial untuk diolah kembali menjadi air bersih. Jika air limbah tersebut akan diolah kembali menjadi air bersih, maka kekeruhan  harus diturunkan atau dihilangkan sampai mengikuti standar air bersih. Untuk menurunkan atau menghilangkan kekeruhan dilakukan penelitian pengolahan air limbah menjadi air bersih menggunakan proses elektrokoagulasi terpadu dengan proses adsorpsi dengan menambahkan zeolit. Proses pengolahan dilakukan dengan mengalirkan air limbah rumah tangga sebanyak 8 liter kedalam bak proses yang terbagi menjadi empat sel. Setiap sel diengkapi anoda dan katoda dari bahan aluminium  berukuran 5 x 20 x 20 cm dan tidak ada penambahan zeolit. Proses elektrokoagulasi dijalankan pada tegangan 12 V dan setiap 10 menit proses dihentikan untuk diukur kekeruhannya. Penelitian diulang dengan langkah yang sama, akan tetapi berat zeolit yang digunakan divariasi, yaitu 2, 4, 6 dan 8 g. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan kekeruhan dapat diturunkan dari 45 NTU menjadi 20 NTU dengan waktu proses 60 menit dan penambahan zeolit 6 g,

Abstract

Salah satu kawasan sentra pengolahan ikan yang ada di Kabupaten Banyumas, Jawa Tengah adalah Desa Adisara Kecamatan Jatilawang. Kawasan ini merupakan kawasan pengolahan ikan yang sudah ada dari tahun 1930-an. Permasalahan yang paling banyak dialami oleh UKM Mino Sari termasuk semua kelompok pengolahan di Desa Adisara adalah limbah yang mencemari lingkungan sekitar sehingga menjadi permasalahan yang belum teratasi, mengingat produksi olahan pindang tuna yang dihasilkan sekitar 12.360 kg/bulan dengan total limbah padat yang dihasilkan sebesar 4,944 kg/bulan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan kompetensi pembuatan tepung dan minyak ikan dari pengolahan limbah ikan sehingga dapat menjadi produk yang bermanfaat. Target kegiatan ini adalah Kelompok Pengolahan UKM Mino Sari. Metode kegiatan pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pendekatan partisipatif (PRA/Participatory Rural Appraisal) dengan cara sosialisasi dan penyuluhan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian bahwa khalayak mitra dapat memahami rangkaian kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan pengelolaan limbah ikan menjadi tepung ikan. Khalayak juga dapat mentransfer pengertahuan kepada kelompok lainnya dalam rangka pernyebaran pengetahuan pembuatan tepung limbah ikan.

Abstract

Karya Mina Sentosa merupakan salah satu Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan yang berlokasi di Desa Singasari, Kecamatan karang lewas, Kabupaten Banyumas yang berfokus pada kegiatan pendederan dan pembesaran ikan gurami. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra tentang sistem pendederan ikan gurami dengan menggunakan kolam terpal. Metode yang diterapkan adalah Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) yang merupakan metode pendekatan partisiptif masyarakat. Serangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi survey pendahuluan dan identifikasi permasalahan, pelatihan pembuatan kolam pendederan ikan gurami, pelatihan pendederan ikan gurami, dan monitoring evaluasi. Hasil yang didapatkan dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pihak mitra mengenai pembuatan kolam terpal bundar untuk pendederan ikan gurami dan metode pendederan ikan gurami yang baik dan benar untuk menghasilkan produktifitas yang optimal.

Abstract

Program Penguatan Kapasitas Kemahasiswaan team (PPK Ormawa) of Himpunan Mahasiswa Kimia (HIMASKA) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Science, Pakuan University has implemented a water resource conservation program to overcome floods and droughts that occur every year in Kalong Liud Village, Nanggung District, Bogor Regency, West Java Province. Water resource conservation with green ampel bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris Schrad. ex. J.C) uses a combination of vegetative and agronomic methods with the aim of maximizing erosion control and surface flow of the Cikaniki River. This program began with a survey of village locations, socialization and education to maximize the sustainability of the implementation of the program by holding pre-tests and post-tests for community groups and residents around the Cikaniki River. After that, green ampel bamboo was planted on the cleared and dug land 50 cm deep with a hole diameter of 15 cm. The growth of green ampel bamboo is monitored and evaluated once a week to find out how to optimize its growth. As a result, young leaves grow from bamboo books after 3 (three) weeks of planting and maintenance. In addition, the provision of education and scientific approaches can increase public understanding and awareness of climate change that can cause flood disasters.

Abstract

Lignocellulose biomass is a raw material for developing various promising products, such as wood waste, which can be used as raw material for the production of activated carbon as a catalyst. This research aims to characterize activated carbon for hydrolisis catalyst. In this study, the process of making activated carbon from mixed camphor and meranti wood was made through pyrolysis process at temperature of 500°C, followed by sulfonation using H2SO410N on reflux. The sulfonated activated carbon product (KA-SO3H) was then characterized according to Indonesia National Standard (SNI) including recovery value, moisture content, ash content, fly ash, fixed carbon, iodine absorption, while acidity and functional groups were measured using amonia adsorption and FTIR analysis, respectively. Furthermore, the sulfonated activated carbon was tested for its application in the hydrolysis reaction of rice husks using microwave with vary rice husk weight namely 2, 4 ,6 ,8, and 10 g at 400 and 600 W for 5, 7, and 9 minutes, respectively. The filtrate was then analyzed for its glucose levels using the DNS method (Dinitrosalycilic acid). The optimum condition of the hydrolysis reaction using sulfonated activated carbon catalyst were 400 W power, 1:8 ratio of rice husk and catalyst in 9 minutes duration. The optimum condition produced 330.51 ppm glucose levels with glucose yield percentages was 61.97%, and required energy was 216 kJ.

Abstract

West Sumatra, Indonesia, faces a critical dual seismic hazard from the Sunda Megathrust and the active Sumatra Fault System, resulting in repetitive destructive earthquakes and high structural vulnerability. This study investigates the effectiveness of disaster preparedness among adolescents (aged 10–24), a strategic demographic group comprising over 25% of the population. Using Evidence Synthesis via a Descriptive-Qualitative Library Research approach, this paper analyzes the convergence of local seismotectonic risks and social preparedness models.The synthesis reveals a significant knowledge–action gap (preparedness paradox): while theoretical disaster knowledge among students is high, their practical readiness and self-efficacy are moderate to low. This discrepancy is primarily driven by the insufficient contextualization of education to specific local seismic threats. We argue that structural mitigation must be urgently complemented by strengthening social adaptive capacity. The study advocates for implementing transformative disaster education that formally integrates local seismic data, hazard maps, and scenario-based psychomotor training. This model is essential for fostering adaptive competence and leveraging adolescents as pivotal agents of long-term community resilience and disaster risk reduction in this high-risk environment.
