This study aims to prove that using the show and tell method is more effective than traditional methods for teaching vocabulary to second-year students at SMP Al Washliyah 24 Medan during the 2022/2023 academic year. The study employed a quantitative methodology and it was classified as experimental research with a control group. The population for this research consists of four classes, with a total sample size of 70 students. The utilization of cluster random sampling and observation of two classes were the choosen methods for this study by the researchers. The researcher selected VIII-1 and VIII-2 as the experimental and controlled classes, each consisting of 35 students. Based on the analysis of the mean score gap in the post-test between the experimental and controlled classes, it can be concluded that the technique used was effective. The mean score of the experimental class was significantly higher at 9.02 compared to the controlled class which had a mean score of 5.63. This indicates that the experimental class had a better understanding of the subject matter, and the technique used in the experiment was successful in improving their performance. It can be concluded that The Show & Tell (S&T) Method is effective in improving student’s vocabulary mastery

The purpose of this study was to find out the application of animated videos can improve the adjectives of 5th grade students Mis integrated al-ikhwan tanjung morawa. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of three meetings. Furthermore, this research was carried out in four steps, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The object of this research is to improve students' adjectives. In collecting data, researchers used tests, observations and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the animation video media has a positive role in increasing the adjectives of the MIS Terpadu Al-Ikhwan Tanjung Morawa students. This can be proven by the average value of students from the initial value, cycle I, cycle II. The average value of the initial score was 57.2, in the first cycle it was 62.4, and in the second cycle it was 81.9.

The phenomenon of mobile legend is quite widespread among tertiary students,because all of this game this game is using English, unique, and everyone interested to play this game. . The purpose of this research was to investigate students' perceptions of mobile legends on vocabulary. A qualitative research method with thematic analysis was applied in this research and the subjects of this research were four students of the Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al-Washliyah. Coming to different departments namely; 2 English students with higher experience in learning English, and 2 non English students with less experience in learning English. Based on the result of interview, there were four themes found, namely; Curiosity,Interaction,Obstacle,Confidence, it is implied that all of the EFL students’ have the same level in the curiosity and confidence theme, therefore all of the EFL students’ had the different level in interaction and obstacle. It turned out that the educational background had an impact on this research.

This local wisdom is one of the products of tradition that lives in society and also develops in the environment of indigenous peoples which has been passed down from generation to generation. This local wisdom functions as a guide to behavior and also shapes people in life by displaying a wise, wise, kind and authoritative side that is firmly entrenched in people's lives and at the same time becomes a guide in that life. In today's society, sometimes local wisdom becomes one of the entities that determines human dignity, which presents intelligence, knowledge, and morals. This is one of the foundations of building a civilized society in the midst of the onslaught of the current era of globalization. This study uses a qualitative and ethnographic approach using primary data through interviews and documentation. This study found that local wisdom has validation that serves as justification for cultural tolerance in the Padang Sidempuan area. The powerlessness of indigenous peoples who are racing towards the traditional side is indeed threatened by the inability to maintain existence in order to continue the traditions of their ancestors which have begun to be eroded by the times.

The aim of this study is to integrate CRT (Culturally Responsive Teaching) and TPACK in English language learning and develop 21st Century skills with a culturally responsive approach. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach, which looked at each student and background holistically. Research is done using a variety of learning methods such as Think pair share, internships, discussions, direct instruction and debates. The CRT research associates the concept of learning English with the cultural background as well as the characteristics of the student. Practical Implementation of this method includes technological mastery, pedagogic knowledge and learning content. Data analysis techniques use the techniques presented by Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification and conclusion withdrawal. The results of this study are demonstrating the application of TPACK's integrated CRT in developing 21st century skills for students, this can be seen from the development of learning in understanding the concepts of text material that are based on local intelligence. Increased because of the ongoing learning in addition to conveying theory there are also practices without expressions that directly involve the culture of students. A culturally responsive integrated approach to learning is an approach that unifies the culture of students and is associated with English text so that students can understand what teachers are telling and learning seems meaningful.

Globalization is one of the changes in the pattern of life in a group of individuals or a society that has headed towards modernization. This era of globalization will certainly result in people who tend to choose new cultures that are fresher and simpler, causing local culture to begin to erode and be forgotten and even a shift in values from the local culture. This is one of the factors that causes local culture to be abandoned and also forgotten nowadays. The absence or reduction of the younger generation who are successors and inheritors of local culture and wisdom has made interest in learning and getting to know one's own culture begin to fade. Today's young generation has neither the effort nor the interest to preserve local culture or local culture which is Indonesia's wealth in this era of globalization. The research method used is a qualitative method with literature study techniques in data collection. Based on the narrative from Malinowski, cultures that are in a higher caste and are active will have a great influence on cultures that are lower and tend to be passive. And this influence can occur in cultural contact. This theory is clearly visible in the current era of globalization. This can be seen from the shift in Indonesian cultural values which have begun to lean towards the west with the rapid flow of incoming information. This is of course a force that can influence people's thinking. In order to overcome this, it certainly requires awareness of the importance of local culture as identity and also national identity. It is the obligation of every society to preserve and also maintain culture with the help of the younger generation as heirs to that culture.

This research aimed to improved the students’ speaking skill in English lesson by using action learning strategy. This research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subject of this research was VIII-A grade of SMPS Plus Kasih Ibu Patumbak which consisted of 20 students. The objective of this research was to Improving Students’ Speaking Skill Achievement Through Tiktok Application Video. This research was conducted in two cycles which each consists’ of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data were gathered through quantitative. The result showed the increasing of students score from the pre-test to post-test II. In pre-test, there was only 10 % (2 stadents) who get point . In post-test 1, there was only 35% (7 studens) who get point , 10 post-test II, there was 90 % (18 students) who get point . Besides that, TikTok Application video helped the students to created the creative class.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa dengan menggunakan video TED Youtube Channel untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa dalam hal akurasi dan kelancaran. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa dari kelas XI SMA Swasta Al-Washliyah 1 Medan tahun akademik 2023/2024 yang terdiri dari 25 siswa. Peneliti menggunakan beberapa topik untuk diceritakan kembali sebagai instrumen dalam pre-test dan post-test. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif dengan pre-test dan post-test. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus (siklus I dan siklus II). Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat langkah penelitian tindakan, yaitu: rencana, tindakan, observasi, refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai siswa dari pre-test ke post-test II. Pada pre-test, hanya 28% (7 siswa) yang mendapatkan nilai diatas 70. Pada post-tes, hanya 44% (11 siswa) yang mendapatkan nilai diatas 70. Pada post-test II, ada 25 siswa yang mendapat poin diatas 75. Hal ini dapat bekerja secara efektif dan efisien dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa di SMA Swasta Al-Washliyah 1 Medan dan pembelajaran ini telah berhasil diterapkan dan mampu meningkat kan keterampilan berbicara siswa.

As part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, students are required to help the community. KKN in this village starts from July to August. Students received a number of mandates from the Muslim Nusantara Al Washliyah University (UMNAW) Campus. This is intended to support educational improvement. This activity was carried out through observation and field research. Our team has designed several educational activity programs after discussing with KKN students. These programs include:1) Helping students from grade 1 to grade 6 in elementary school in reading, arithmetic and Indonesian language lessons; 2) Providing assistance and collaborating in the teaching process in elementary schools (SD).

TBC atau Tuberkulosis adalah penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) merupakan virus yang menyerang sel darah putih yang berada di dalam tubuh (limfosit) yang mengakibatkan turunnya kekebalan tubuhmanusia dan membuatnya lebih rentan terhadap berbagai penyakit, sulit sembuh dari berbagai. Program ini diharapkan mampu mendorong kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya pemeriksaan dan juga dapat membantu para tenaga Kesehatan untuk pengecekan TBC dan HIV. Program ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk sosialisasi dengan cara menjelaskan hal-hal terkait terkait TBC dan HIV/AIDS serta cara pencegahannya kepada masyarakat. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini menggunakan metode sosialisasi dalam bentuk presentasi menggunakan media presentation (powerpoint). kegiatan ini untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyakarat mengenai HIV dan TBC serta apa saja tindakan-tindakan yang harus dihindari untuk mencegah penyakit tersebut. Materi disampaikan secara langsung (speach) oleh dokter dan juga bidan desa untuk mengedukasi masyarakat
