Abstract Vertigo is a symptom or sensation of sudden changes in the surroundings, as if everything around you is spinning, accompanied by dizziness, nausea, and possibly vomiting, with a risk of falling. Vertigo is commonly found among people of productive age, and there are many cases among the elderly. The elderly are a period where degenerative aging processes occur, affecting changes in bodily functions, physical health decline, and even psychological well-being. As the body enters old age, humans experience weakened bodily functions, such as muscle weakness, balance disorders that can lead to reduced physical mobility, fragility, and difficulty performing activities, making it challenging to meet daily needs, thereby increasing the risk of falls (injuries). The Romberg Test is a simple procedure to measure balance that can be performed anywhere without the risk of injury. Based on the PKM activity conducted using the Romberg Test screening method on 53 elderly individuals at the Pangudi Luhur Integrated Center in Bekasi City, the results showed that 33 (62.26%) elderly individuals experienced vertigo, 20 (37.74%) were not identified as having vertigo, 17 (51.52%) were female, and 16 (48.48%) were male. The conclusion from this PKM is that the majority of elderly individuals experience vertigo. This finding underscores the importance of early detection of vertigo as an effort to improve the health quality of the elderly and prevent the risk of falls (injuries) among the elderly. The implementation of screening encourages the elderly to maintain bodily balance, as well as the importance of early detection of vertigo incidents through simple examinations such as the Romberg Test, which can be effectively applied at the community level. This indicates that the objective of the community service program to detect vertigo early and enhance the elderly's awareness has been achieved.
