Abstract

Parent emotion socialization (PES), a response used when reacting to the emotional expression of children, is classified into supportive and non-supportive categories and varies at each stage of development. In this context, emotion, which is measured based on a strong theoretical foundation, plays an important role in children and adolescent development in terms of social functioning, academic achievement, and the development of psychopathology. The status as a single domain of study depends on each theoretical perspective applied. Based on prediction, the types of related variables also vary depending on each theoretical perspective. Therefore, this study aimed to fill the gap of reviews on the types of emotion variables. The association between the dynamics of emotion variables and PES was determined by analyzing 15 international journals. The results showed that emotion regulation was the variable most associated with PES in children and adolescents, serving as a moderator or vice versa. Other variables included self-conscious emotion, social and emotional adjustment, expression of emotion, negative emotionality/lability, and emotion processing. In conclusion, practitioners were provided with considerations regarding the measurement, study, and development of PES topics and various emotion variables.

Abstract

Kecelakaan lalu lintas merupakan salah satu permasalahan utama dalam sistem transportasi darat, termasuk di Kabupaten Jombang yang dilalui jalur nasional strategis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kecelakaan dan mengidentifikasi lokasi rawan kecelakaan di ruas Jalan Nasional Jombang–Kertosono KM 82 hingga KM 90. Metode yang digunakan adalah Angka Ekivalen Kecelakaan (AEK) untuk mengukur tingkat keparahan berdasarkan jumlah korban dan jenis luka, serta Upper Control Limit (UCL) sebagai pendekatan statistik untuk menentukan ambang batas lokasi rawan kecelakaan. Data yang digunakan berupa data sekunder dari Satlantas Polres Jombang selama periode 2020–2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa segmen 1 (KM 82–KM 85) memiliki nilai AEK tertinggi yaitu sebesar 11,33 dan melebihi nilai UCL sebesar 10,24, yang menunjukkan bahwa lokasi tersebut merupakan black spot. Kecelakaan paling banyak terjadi pada jam sibuk (pagi dan sore hari), didominasi oleh kendaraan roda dua, dan menimpa korban usia produktif (15–30 tahun). Faktor utama penyebab kecelakaan meliputi kelalaian pengemudi, kepadatan lalu lintas, dan kurangnya fasilitas keselamatan jalan. Hasil ini diharapkan menjadi dasar bagi instansi terkait dalam pengambilan kebijakan peningkatan keselamatan lalu lintas, serta sebagai referensi bagi penelitian akademik sejenis.

Abstract

This research highlights the importance of parental caregiving in the cognitive development of children during early childhood, a period of rapid brain growth. Interaction with parents and a stimulating home environment significantly influence this development. Many parents lack understanding of effective ways to support their child's cognitive development, necessitating interventions that help enhance cognitive stimulation at home. This study reviews the literature to illustrate the effectiveness of positive parental stimulation in promoting early childhood cognitive development. The findings indicate that parental stimulation, such as a supportive home environment and positive interactions, is crucial for early cognitive development. Interventions that improve parenting practices are effective in enhancing children's cognitive abilities. A lack of stimulation can hinder a child's development, making supportive parenting programs essential. Home stimulation, positive interactions, and authoritative parenting styles are key to optimal cognitive development in children.Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya pengasuhan orang tua dalam perkembangan kognitif anak pada masa awal, saat otak berkembang pesat. Interaksi dengan orang tua dan lingkungan rumah yang stimulatif sangat memengaruhi perkembangan ini. Banyak orang tua kurang memahami cara efektif untuk mendukung perkembangan kognitif anak, sehingga diperlukan intervensi yang membantu meningkatkan stimulasi kognitif di rumah. Studi ini meninjau literatur untuk menggambarkan efektivitas stimulasi positif oleh orang tua dalam meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa stimulasi orang tua, seperti lingkungan rumah yang mendukung dan interaksi positif, sangat penting untuk perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini. Intervensi yang meningkatkan praktik pengasuhan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak. Kekurangan stimulasi dapat menghambat perkembangan anak, sehingga program pengasuhan yang mendukung sangat diperlukan. Stimulasi rumah, interaksi positif, dan gaya pengasuhan otoritatif adalah kunci untuk perkembangan kognitif anak yang optimal.

Abstract

Fatherlessness refers to the absence of a father figure during a child's developmental stages, whether physically or psychologically. This systematic review analyzes 15 international journals to explore the effects of fatherlessness across various developmental periods. The findings highlight significant consequences depending on the child's age.During childhood, the absence of a father is linked to lower academic achievement and an increased risk of engaging in delinquent behavior during adolescence and early adulthood. In adolescence, fatherlessness often contributes to identity confusion, challenges in social interactions, and uncertainty regarding sexual orientation. As individuals transition into adulthood, the absence of a father figure impacts their ability to establish healthy relationships with the opposite sex and heightens their vulnerability to psychological issues.These findings emphasize the profound influence of fatherlessness on various aspects of a child’s growth and development. The review highlights the need for continued research to delve into the nuanced effects of fatherlessness across different stages of development. Such studies are crucial for developing targeted strategies and interventions aimed at minimizing the adverse outcomes associated with the absence of a father figure. By addressing these challenges, future efforts can better support children and young adults in navigating the complexities of their developmental journey

Abstract

The objective of the psychoeducational program "Stop Bullying for Better Future" is to provide understanding about bullying and its impacts on the future to the students of SMKN 2 Penajam Paser Utara, North Kalimantan. This is done because based on the analysis of psychoeducational needs and the academic achievements of these students have decreased due to the prevalent bullying behavior among peers. This activity involves all students from grades X, XI, XII, and as the target/pilot project, the activity focuses on students from the XI Computer Engineering class who are mentored by one of the speakers. The activity is conducted through a Zoom link and sociodrama games performed by the students. The T-test analysis results from the pre-test and post-test conducted showed a significance value of 0.045, where this value is smaller than 0.05, indicating a significant influence of psychoeducation on the understanding of the students of SMKN 2 Penajam Paser Utara. However, the behavior change cannot be determined yet because the psychoeducation conducted targets cognitive and affective aspects rather than behavior change. In the role-playing game, the students showed varied impressions according to the roles they played, as victims of bullying, perpetrators, and bystanders.

Abstract

Introduction : The Covid-19 pandemic had affected of higher education, especially Nursing students in online clinical practice learning. The impact of online learning was students difficulties and limitations in direct clinical learning. A significant decrease in the statistical value of nursing practice pre-pandemic and during the pandemic. Academic resilience is very important and needed by students to overcome academic challenges difficulties and demands during a pandemic. Academic resilience shows students capacity to overcome difficulties related to education and learning through adaptive responses by using self-regulated learning (SRL). This study aims to examine the role of SRL as a mediator between social support and academic resilience for undergraduate nursing students during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods : This study uses a quantitative approach, with a cross-sectional research design. The research sample consisted of 244 Bachelor of Nursing students PTN/PTS, taken using a purposive sampling technique. The inclusion criteria are Bachelor of Nursing students academic year 2018-2021 who have carried out clinical practice in hospitals and other practice areas, during the Covid-19 pandemic. The measuring instrument used are the MSPSS scale, the ARS-30 scale, and the SRL scale. Data analysis used Process Hayes Version 4.0 regression analysis with the IBM SPSS version 25 for windows program. Results: Statistical test results show a positive and significant relationship between social support and academic resilience directly (β=0.9920; p=0.000) or partially mediated by SRL (β=0.4640; p=0.000, LLCCI=0.2625 ;ULCI=0.6655). Conclusion : The important influence of social support on academic resilience occurs directly or indirectly mediated by SRL. The higher the social support, the higher the SRL which ultimately increases academic resilience.

Abstract

Resiliensi merupakan sesuatu kemampuan yang penting dimiliki oleh remaja saat mengalami kekerasan dalam berpacaran (dating violence), tujuannya agar bisa kembali pulih dari keterpurukan dan memiliki keyakinan pada diri sendiri. Systematic Literature Review dipilih sebagai metode penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi resiliensi remaja dating violence dari berbagai sudut pandang. Adapun jurnal yang telah di review berjumlah 10 dari 319 jurnal setelah dilakukan tahapan seleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial menjadi faktor utama resiliensi remaja dating violence. Faktor pendukung lainnya, yaitu: harga diri, hubungan dengan teman sebaya, dukungan keluarga, spiritualitas, optimis, persepsi pribadi tentang efektivitas, keterampilan sosial dan adaptif, dan efikasi diri.

Abstract

Penggunaan sosial media dengan mengunggah foto-foto yang menampilkan penampilan diri yang diidealkan banyak dilakukan oleh pengguna media sosial saat ini. Hal ini dapat membahayakan kepercayaan diri remaja dalam penampilan mereka, tetapi dampak negatifnya bervariasi tergantung pada jenis keterlibatan media sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review. Dari 265 jurnal, tersisa 8 jurnal terpilih yang sesuai dengan judul dan subjek dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rendahnya self-esteem penampilan fisik pada remaja diakibatkan oleh penggunaan media social karena mengunjungi/melakukan stalking orang lain (keluarga, teman, atau selebriti yang Nampak ideal) dan membandingakn dirinya dengan mereka.

Abstract

Achievement motivation is very important for students because it is the driving force that enables them to achieve what they desire. Parental involvement becomes one factor that influences achievement motivation. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between parental involvement and achievement motivation as mediated by self-efficacy. Among a sample of 200 junior high school students, using a quantitative approach,  data in the current research showed that self-efficacy significantly mediated the relationship between parental participation and achievement motivation.  Motivasi berprestasi sangat penting bagi siswa karena motivasi berprestasi berperan sebagai daya dorong yang memungkinkan mereka mencapai apa yang mereka cita-citakan. Keterlibatan orang tua menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi berprestasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji peran efikasi diri dalam memediasi hubungan antara keterlibatan orang tua dan motivasi berprestasi. Sampel atau subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah 200 siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, data dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri berperan signifikan dalam memediasi hubungan antara keterlibatan orang tua dan motivasi berprestasi.

Abstract

In fact, many people don't know much about gifted children. More over, they are frequently suspected as "trouble makers". This research is an explorative research study with the aim to depict the social adaptation of gifted children. Subjects are students (N = 11; 5 girls and 6 boys), aged 5.5-1 1.5 with IQ's above 130. Subjects are selected through: (a) Colour Progressive Matrics (CPM) and Standard Progressive Matrics (SPM) tests, (b) Binet or WISC or CFIT tests to obtain their IQ's. The social adaptation ability was obtained through a social maturity test, interview, and observation. Results show, most of the subjects are able to adapt to other people.
