The data sources for this research are research objects in the Temajuk Tourism Village and the data are the results of field observations and the results of interviews with village heads, managers, and visitors. Abstract

This research is entitled Community Preparedness for Flood Disasters in Meliau District, Sanggau Regency.  The phenomenon of flooding often hits a watershed area that is unable to accommodate the rainwater that falls because the amount of rainwater exceeds the capacity of the river itself. Kuala Buayan Village which is one of the villages in Meliau District is the village most frequently affected by floods almost every year. This has disrupted community activities in Kuala Buayan Village. The purpose of this study is to determine community preparedness for flood disasters. This study uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis. The data source for this research is the results of interviews with the village government, the Sanggau Regency Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency, and the Kuala Buayan Village Community as well as direct field observations. The results show that knowledge of community preparedness for floods is still lacking. This is based on the Emergency Response Plan, Disaster Warning System, and Mobilization of Community Resources which is still very lacking, considering that Kuala Buayan Village is a Flood-Prone Area. In addition, the community's knowledge about flood disaster preparedness is quite good, but there is still some knowledge and insight that the community needs to know about flood disaster preparedness.

Abstract

A study on household soy tempeh industry in Rasau Jaya Subdistrict, Kubu Raya Regency aims to determine the distribution pattern of soy tempeh household industry locations. This research utilizes the Nearest Neighbor Analysis method and a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the nearest neighbor analysis with a calculated t-value of 0.600 concludes that soy tempeh household industries tend to cluster in certain areas of Rasau Jaya Subdistrict. Factors such as settlement location and geographical aspects, especially the ease of access to raw materials and marketing, influence this distribution pattern. Industrial locations are chosen based on the ease of access to primary raw materials, namely soybeans, obtained from Rasau Raya Traditional Market and Flamboyan Market. Labor employed in this industry operates on a piece-rate system, where workers are compensated based on the completed tasks. The majority of soy tempeh product marketing targets local markets within the village, indicating a focus on the local market in the area. Only a small proportion expands beyond the village but remains within the same district. Thus, the household soy tempeh industry in Rasau Jaya Subdistrict is supported by a clustered distribution pattern influenced by geographical factors, accessibility to raw materials, and a marketing strategy focused on the local market.

Abstract

Rasau Jaya Tiga Village is a village that develops and is built on peatland areas. These peatlands are used as the main source of livelihood for the population. This village community depends entirely on agriculture to meet all needs, including primary needs (clothing, shelter, food), secondary such as access and facilities for children's education, and others. In Rasau Jaya Tiga Village, farmer children can still be found who do not continue their education to the tertiary level, this is due to the low participation rate in education. Education is one of the main foundations that with its presence brings hope that it will improve the dignity, dignity, and quality of human resources. The existence of this study was carried out with the aim and purpose of identifying the effect between farmers' income on children's education level to continue to university in Rasau Jaya Tiga Village, Rasau Jaya District. This study utilizes survey methods with a focus on the study of relationships or correlations with quantitative approaches. The sample in this study involved 85 farmers and data was obtained through questionnaires which were then analyzed. The results of the study show that there is an influence between farmers' income on children's education level to continue to university in Rasau Jaya Tiga Village. The results of data analysis using simple linear regression analysis testing produce a regression equation Y = 48.365 + 0.327X and indicate a constant value of 48.365. Meanwhile, it was found that the regression coefficient was positive at 0.327, illustrating that for every 1% increase in farmer income (variable X), the child's education level (variable Y) will increase by 32.7%.
