<![CDATA[This study applies deconstruction, a key theory in postcolonial studies, to analyze and reinterpret the meaning within Tiara Andini's popular Indonesian song, Maafkan Aku. By examining both the literal meaning and its deconstruction, the research aims to uncover hidden layers of meaning in the song's lyrics. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data from the lyrics are analyzed through textual analysis and the concept of deconstruction. The analysis first identifies binary oppositions in the lyrics and then challenges these oppositions to reveal new interpretations. Findings highlight the contrast between themes of penitence (as the song’s explicit meaning) and expectation (as its underlying meaning). The lyrics deconstruct the notion of penitence as a "victim" with an opposing sense of expectation as a "villain." This study offers a nuanced exploration of how deconstruction unveils alternative interpretations, contributing to a broader understanding of how popular culture uses language to express complex emotional and relational dynamics.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of the research is to describe code choice and code mixing in the interaction of learning English in Agriculture Faculty University of Trunojoyo Madura. The reseach data included the code switching and code mixing of Agriculture students when learning English in the classroom. The data analysis use a contextual approach of Speaking by Dell Hymes. The result of the research showed that code switching used by the students in the Faculty of Agriculture, namely English and Indonesia, switching codes from English into Indonesia and vice versa, meanwhile code mixing from English into Inonesia, and mixed Indonesia into Javanese, mixed Javanese into English.]]>

<![CDATA[The fertilizer subsidy policy is a government program aimed at providing affordable fertilizer to enhance the productivity of domestic commodities, including corn. In 2022, there was a change in the fertilizer subsidy policy, specifically a reduction in the number of subsidized fertilizer types and commodities. This policy change caused farmers to bear higher production costs. In addition, the decline in corn productivity at the research site serves as an indicator of the ineffectiveness of the fertilizer subsidy policy implementation and a source of production inefficiency. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the 2022 fertilizer subsidy policy implementation and analyze its impact on the technical efficiency of corn farming. The research was conducted in Kadur Subdistrict, Pamekasan Regency, East Java. The study employed a survey method involving 43 farmers who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using a quantitative descriptive approach, incorporating effectiveness analysis and technical efficiency measurement through the Cobb–Douglas Stochastic Frontier production function. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of the 2022 fertilizer subsidy policy implementation falls within the “highly effective” category. Furthermore, improving the effectiveness of non-Farmer Card (non-Kartu Tani) usage and the distribution of subsidized fertilizers significantly enhances technical efficiency.]]>

<![CDATA[This study investigates the performance of portfolio optimization algorithms in robo-advisory systems within the digital finance landscape. The research compares three approaches Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT), Post-Modern Portfolio Theory (PMPT), and a heuristic equal-weight model using a simulation-based computational framework with synthetic financial data under controlled marketconditions. Key evaluation metrics include Sharpe ratio, Sortino ratio, and maximum drawdown to assess risk-adjusted performance and downside protection. The results show that optimization-based models outperform the heuristic approach across all metrics. MPT achieves the highest Sharpe ratio (1.25), indicating strong overall risk-adjusted returns, while PMPT provides superior downside risk management with a higher Sortino ratio (1.60) and lower maximum drawdown (0.14). The heuristic model demonstrates the weakest performance due to its lack of adaptive allocation. These findings highlight the trade-offs between return optimization and risk sensitivity across different algorithms. Despite their effectiveness, the models are limited by reliance on historical data and simplified assumptions in the simulation environment. This study suggests that future robo-advisory systems should integrate artificial intelligence and behavioral finance to enhance adaptability, personalization, and decision transparency in dynamic market conditions.]]>

<![CDATA[This community service activity aims to integrate environmental conservation and coastal community economic empowerment through the implementation of a mangrove crab silvofishery system at Lembung Mangrove Ecotourism, Galis Subdistrict, Pamekasan Regency. The program is carried out in collaboration with Pokmaswas Bina Lestari as the main partner in managing the activities. The implementation methods include socializing the concept of silvofishery and participatory pond construction using local materials such as bamboo, gedek, and waring. Evaluations were conducted on the strength of the pond structure, the effectiveness of water circulation, and the increase in community understanding of conservation. The results of the activity showed increased participation of Pokmaswas Bina Lestari in ecotourism management and the formation of an environmentally friendly and economically productive mangrove crab farming model. This activity not only provided direct economic benefits to the community but also strengthened the ecological function of mangrove forests as a buffer for coastal ecosystems. This silvofishery model has the potential to be replicated in other coastal areas as an effort to develop sustainable conservation-based ecotourism.]]>

<![CDATA[The main problem in this study is the use of teaching methods that are still conventional in Islamic boarding schools in learning English. This causes students to feel bored and less motivated to participate in English learning activities in Islamic boarding schools so innovation is needed in learning English by applying information and communication technology (ICT). This study aimed to investigate students’ perceptions of using information and communication technology (ICT), such as LCD Projectors and Microsoft PowerPoint, to improve English speaking skills at the boarding school. The study was conducted at a boarding school in Bangkalan, involving 42 students, consisting of 24 science students and 18 social science students. The method was descriptive qualitative, with data collected through a Google Form questionnaire. The results showed that the majority of students, 54.94%, had a positive view of using ICT, considering it effective in improving speaking skills and boosting confidence. In addition, the use of ICT was also found to increase student engagement and create a more interactive learning environment. The results of this study provide recommendations that the use of ICT in English learning in Islamic boarding schools is effective for use as a learning medium. ]]>

<![CDATA[Learning media in Islamic boarding schools have not been optimally implemented for English learning, the use of interactive and interesting media is still lacking. This study aims to investigate the use of PowerPoint as a medium for English learning in Islamic boarding schools. This study was conducted in one of the Islamic boarding schools in Bangkalan involving representatives of 5 science and social studies students, using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with five selected students and classroom observations. The findings of the study revealed that the integration of multimedia elements, such as videos and interactive games in PowerPoint presentations, significantly increased student interest and participation during learning. This study highlights that PowerPoint facilitates clear and concise presentation of materials, allowing students to focus on important concepts without excessive text. Ultimately, this study concludes that PowerPoint serves as an effective teaching tool that enriches the learning experience in an Islamic boarding school educational environment with Islamic values.]]>

<![CDATA[This qualitative descriptive study analyzes the portrayal of the American Dream through Anthony Patch in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Beautiful and the Damned. Set in the Jazz Age, a time of excess and cultural change, the novel exposes how materialism, social pressure, and moral decay corrupt the ideal of success. Using textual analysis and a sociocultural literary approach, the study examines Anthony’s pursuit of wealth and status without ethical foundation, leading to his downfall. The findings reveal how society and Gloria Gilbert influence Anthony’s values, showing his gradual disillusionment with the American Dream. This research contributes to cultural criticism of early 20th-century American literature and underscores the continued relevance of Fitzgerald’s critique in today’s consumer-oriented world]]>

<![CDATA[Objective:The integration of technology in English language teaching, particularly in English for Specific Purposes (ESP), has transformed classroom practices in higher education. However, students often face difficulties in speaking English fluently within their specialized subjects. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of PowerPoint (PPT) as a medium to enhance students’ speaking skills through oral presentations, with a focus on ESP for Business Law, an area that has received limited empirical attention. Method : This research used qualitative approach. Data were collected via observations, questionnaires, and documentation from 48 students enrolled in an English for Business Law course. Results: Findings revealed that (1) PPT effectively supports students in improving their oral communication skills, and (2) students’ speaking performance increased after conducting group presentations using PPT. Novelty: The study’s contribution lies in demonstrating how structured PPT-based presentations can enhance subject-specific oral proficiency in ESP classrooms. These results suggest that lecturers and students should consider integrating PPT in oral presentations to promote language development and engagement in higher education settings.]]>

<![CDATA[Gejala skizofrenia dan penyebab dari penyakit tersebut banyak ditemukan pada tokoh utama dalam sebuah karya sastra sehingga menarik untuk dikaji. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk melihat gejala dan penyebab terjadinya skizofrenia yang dialami oleh tokoh utama, Grenouille, yang terdapat dalam novel perfume karya Patrick Suskind. Penelitian dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan sumber data asli yang berasal dari sebuah novel berjudul Perfume karya Patrick Suskind. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gambaran skizofrenia yang ada dalam diri Grenouille dapat ditunjukkan melalui gejala-gejala skizofrenia yang bisa diamati dalam novel, yaitu (1) penarikan diri dari masyarakat, (2) kelakuan-kelakuan yang menyimpang, (3) delusi-delusi, (4) halusinasi-halusinasi, (5) emosi yang tidak tetap, (6) dan diakhiri dengan bunuh diri. Adapun faktor penyebab dari skizofrenia yang dialami oleh tokoh utama tidak terlepas dari beberapa faktor, yaitu faktor genetik, lingkungan, dan perasaan inferior seperti ketakutan dan kecemasan yang berlebihan.]]>
