Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Taliwang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Taliwang tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yang terdiri dari 3 kelas yakni kelas VIII-A 21 siswa, kelas VIII-B 22 siswa dan kelas VIII-C 25 siswa dengan sampel kelas VIII-A dan VIII-B yang dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji-t dengan signifikansi 5%. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning yaitu 82,60 lebih besar dari rata-rata hasil belajar kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung yaitu 71,86. Hasil perhitungan uji-t separated varians diperoleh sebesar 4,729 dan dibandingkan dengan nilai sebesar 2,019. Dari hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa . Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi teorema Pythagoras kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Taliwang tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas XII SMA IT Putri Abu Hurairah Mataram tahun ajaran 2022/2023 pada materi peluang ditinjau dari kepercayaan diri dan kecemasan matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 117 siswa kelas XII SMA IT Putri Abu Hurairah Mataram dengan sampel 40 siswa kelas XII MIA yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan yaitu: 1) sampel telah menerima materi peluang; 2) rata-rata nilai ulangan harian sampel masih di bawah 75; 3) rekomendasi dari guru matematika yang mengajar kelas XII. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner, tes, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan teknik analisis data model Miles and Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kepercayaan diri dan kecemasan matematika siswa kelas XII berada pada kategori sedang, sedangkan rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa berkategori rendah. Hubungan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dengan kepercayaan diri siswa berkategori sedang dan signifikan. Hubungan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dengan kecemasan matematika berkategori kuat dan signifikan. Siswa dengan kepercayaan diri tinggi dan kecemasan matematika rendah memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis tinggi. Sedangkan siswa dengan kepercayaan diri rendah dan kecemasan matematika tinggi memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis rendah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning models on students' Pythagorean theorem problem solving ability. This research was carried out at SMPN 1 Suralaga for the 2023/2024 school year. The type of research used is a quasi experiment. The population in this study were class VIII students of SMPN 1 Suralaga for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample was 44 students consisting of 22 experimental class students and 22 control class students. The data collection techniques used are observation and tests. While the research instrument consists of observation sheets, problem-solving ability test sheets, lesson implementation plans and student worksheet. Data taken with t-test, obtained acceptable results    accepted, there is a difference in the problem-solving ability of the Pythagorean theorem in students whose learning used the problem-based learning model with students who used the direct learning model. The average posttest result for the experimental class was higher than the control class, namely 82.41>75,00.  This shows that there is an influence of the problem based learning model on the Pythagorean theorem problem solving abilities of class VIII students at SMPN 1 Suralaga using the effect size test, obtained d=0.67, which means the influence given is in the medium category.

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of using visual animation media on students' learning outcomes in mathematics education. The research design employed is quantitative research with an experimental method. The design used in this study is quasi-experimental design. Data collection techniques include tests and observations. The test instrument consists of 5 essay questions used to assess students' learning outcomes and observation guidelines are used to gather desired data based on the research objectives. The population of this study is all eighth-grade students, totaling 196 students. The sampling technique used in this study is cluster random sampling. Class VIII-A with 29 students is the sample group that uses animation media in their learning (experimental class), while Class VIII-B with 28 students is the sample group that learns without animation media (control class). The data analysis techniques used include normality and homogeneity tests as prerequisites, and the t-test as the hypothesis test. Based on the hypothesis test results using the t-test at a significance level of 5%, the obtained value of t-value is 2,068 and t-table is 2,004. Since the value of tvalue > ttable, so the null hypothesis H0 is rejected, indicating that there is an influence in the use of visual animation media as a mathematics learning media on students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model kooperatif Tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) pada pembelajaran bilangan berpangkat terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 8 Mataram tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental design dengan posttest-only control design. Populasi penelitian siswa kelas VIII SMPN 8 Mataram, sampel penelitian kelas VIIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIIIB sebagai kelas kontrol yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian: 1) hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa t_hitung>t_tabel, artinya H_a diterima dan H_0 ditolak, maka terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, 2) hasil uji effect size diperoleh 1,03547 yang termasuk dalam kategori efek besar, 3) rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen 72,64 dan kontrol 61,11, artinya rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan rata-rata nilai kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan model kooperatif Tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) pada pembelajaran bilangan berpangkat terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 8 Mataram tahun pelajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of using Canva learning media on student learning outcomes in class XI circle material at SMK Negeri 3 Selong. This research is an experimental research with quasi experimental design. The study population was the XI grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Selong as many as 4 classes. The research sample was two classes, namely the experimental class using Canva-based learning media and the control class using conventional media taken using cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques using observation and tests. As for the instrument validity test, it was carried out with the content validity test which was calculated using the Aiken's V index. Data analysis carried out is normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test, and effect size test to see whether there is an effect of Canva-based learning media on student learning outcomes on circle material. The results showed t_hitung (2.661) > t_table (2.01), the effect size test results were 0.757 and the average value of the posttest results of the class using Canva-based learning media was higher than the class using conventional media. So it can be concluded that learning by using Canva-based learning media has an effect on student learning outcomes in circle material class XI SMK Negeri 3 Selong academic year 2024/2025.

Abstract

This research aims to describe mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of learning interest of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 11 Mataram for the 2024/2025 academic year. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research, which was carried out at SMP Negeri 11 Mataram with class VIII-B research subjects selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, tests and interviews. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, tests and interviews. Based on the results of the study, it shows that there is a relationship between the level of interest in learning mathematics of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 11 Mataram and the ability to solve mathematical problems. So that students with high category interest in learning mathematics and high problem solving abilities are able to carry out all stages of problem solving, students with medium category interest in learning mathematics and high problem solving abilities are able to carry out all stages of problem solving, students with medium category interest in learning mathematics and medium problem solving abilities are able to carry out all stages of problem solving only on some questions, students with medium category interest in learning mathematics and low problem solving abilities are only able to carry out 3 stages of problem solving and students with low category interest in learning mathematics and low problem solving abilities are only able to carry out 3 stages of problem solving.

Abstract

This research is based on the large number of students who experience obstacles in solving mathematical problems on exponential and logarithmic materials. The purpose of this study is to describe epistemological obstacles based on errors in solving mathematical problems, exponential materials, and logarithms of grade XA students in MA Plus Nurul Islam. This research method is a qualitative descriptive method with the research subject being class XA students at MA Plus Nurul Islam with a total of 22 students. The data research instruments used are observations, interviews, and tests in the form of descriptions of exponential and logarithmic materials. The data analysis techniques used are: giving tests, analyzing test results, compiling research results and drawing conclusions. The results and discussion of this study are that grade XA students in MA Plus Nurul Islam experience epistemological obstacles. These obstacles consist of: 1). Many students do not understand the concepts of the questions given during the test; 2). Many students make mistakes using calculation operations in answering questions; and 3). Many students make mistakes in writing steps or procedures in answering questions

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that cause low interest in learning mathematics in students at MA Plus Nurul Islam Sekarbela and explore efforts that can be made to overcome these factors. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the level of student interest in learning varies, where some students show a high interest in mathematics, while others have difficulty understanding the material so that they are less motivated. Factors that inhibit interest in learning include difficulty in understanding complex material, limited learning time, lack of additional learning resources, less interesting teaching methods, and minimal use of technology in learning. The conclusion of this study shows that to increase interest in learning mathematics, it is necessary to use technology-based media, contextual and project-based learning approaches, and provide additional learning resources. The implementation of this strategy is expected to increase student involvement and motivation in learning mathematics at MA Plus Nurul Islam Sekarbela

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada materi penyajian data ditinjau dari gaya belajar siswa kelas VIII semester ganjil di SMPN 17 Mataram tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 139 siswa, dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 104 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik Proposional Sampling berdasarkan rumus Slovin. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 9 siswa yang dipilih untuk dianalisis lebih mendalam. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner untuk mengidentifikasi gaya belajar, tes tertulis untuk menganalisis kesalahan, serta wawancara untuk mendalami penyebab kesalahan. Teknik analisis data mencakup identifikasi gaya belajar dan identifikasi kesalahan penyelesaian masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan gaya belajar visual cenderung melakukan 2 jenis kesalahan dari 5 jenis kesalahan Newman yang dilakukan siswa yaitu process skill dan encoding. Sedangkan gaya belajar auditorial cenderung melakukan kesalahan pada jenis transformation, process skill, dan encoding. Sementara itu, siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik cenderung melakukan kesalahan pada jenis comprehension, process skill, dan encoding. Penyebab utama kesalahan meliputi ketidakmampuan siswa dalam membuat model matematika, kurangnya pemahaman terhadap langkah-langkah penyelesaian, serta ketidakmampuan dalam menguasai materi prasyarat.
