Abstract

This research aims to describe the forms of Palembang language idioms that are still used by the community and map the forms of community resistance to religious radicalism. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The informants in this research were Palembang speakers in the Seberang Ulu and Seberang Ilir areas who were selected based on predetermined criteria. The research process started from desk-review, field observation, documentation, in-depth interviews and FGD. Data analysis in this research uses data reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The results obtained from the research are that there are 158 Palembang idioms that are still used by the public, and there are 10 idioms that are appropriate for resisting radicalization, namely: (1) Ado gawe, (2) Balak duobelas, (3) Besak kelakar, (4) Katek aguk, (5) Katek antanan, (6) Makan olo'an, (7) Ngeci'ke bala', (8) Pakem tuo, (9) Tempuan tahlil, (10) Wong kito galo. Rejection of destructive-anarchist actions both towards adherents of other religions and those of their own religion. This study illustrates the need for these idioms to be disseminated to the public and taught in schools. Further research needs to be carried out to fully understand how idioms can influence children's thoughts and behavior through experimental studies. Discussion and other limitations will be explained in this paper.

Abstract

Students anxiousness affects the EFL listening process. Listening anxiety is also an aspect that may impact a foreign language students success or failure in listening comprehension. Therefore, this study aimed to ascertain the factors that lead to students listening anxiety and the strategies lecturers use to alleviate it. Multiple qualitative case study was the method used in the study. Twenty-one undergraduate students enrolled in a listening class and three lecturers, from three universities in Palembang, Indonesia, participated in this study. Data collection methods included interviews and observation. The results of thematic analysis of qualitative data revealed four factors contributed to students anxiety when listening: 1) lack of listening skills; 2) lack of attention; 3) mood; and 4) classroom environment. Meanwhile, the lecturers were committed to implementing strategies that alleviate students listening anxiety. These strategies included: 1) preparing students for listening activities, 2) exposing them to a variety of authentic listening materials, and 3) improving the learning environment. The research findings imply that the lecturers who taught listening class have observed that each student experienced anxiety while listening due to specific factors. As a result, they have begun to devise suitable teaching strategies to foster a more enjoyable learning experience in listening classes, thereby enhancing student comfort and engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning outcome-based Islamic education materials in a module for the Islamic education department at IAIN Curup. This study employed a Research and Development method. The data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed in both quantitative and qualitative ways. The analysis of quantitative data deployed percentage formulas, and the qualitative data analysis rested upon an interactive model comprised of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This study revealed that 89% of lecturers and 94.47% of students perceived that the existing Islamic education materials were less or not appropriate. In addition, all of them perceived those new materials were needed. The subsequent focused group discussion called for the urgency of developing learning outcome-based Islamic education materials in the form of a module. Such a module was further developed. The design consisted of three chapters titled the definition of Islamic Education and Sources of Islamic Education, Islamic Education Curriculum Itself, and Students. The module had 62 pages for the contents and 3 for the bibliography, totaling 65 pages. After being validated by four experts, the module was considered worthy, with a few revisions suggested. The learning outcome-based Islamic education materials are efficient based on the results of practicality tests on one-for-one evaluation (then the second revision) and small group evaluation. Students' critical thinking ability is included in the very high category of test results at intervals of 80-99.

Abstract

In the digital era the learning process is directed to computerization such as the application of Competency-Based National Assessment (ANBK) all schools have implemented computerization as well as MI Azizan Palembang has started the learning process and assessment using computer media, the purpose of this study was carried out to determine the Application of Interactive Video Learning Media at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Azizan, the Effect of Application of Interactive Video on Student Learning Interest, the research method in this study used an experimental method with a pre-test post test design, data collection techniques in this study using questionnaires, interviews and documentation, data analysis techniques carried out with simple linear regression. The research uses validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing, the results of the study, the learning process at MI Azizan has been running properly, from the results of the calculation of the simple regression test shows the significance value of 0.000 <0.05. so it can be concluded that the media used has a significant effect in developing students' learning interest. meaning that Ha which reads "audio-visual media has an effect on developing students' learning interest" has been proven. And from the output the R Square value is 0.915. This means that the effect of audio-visual media in developing students' interest in learning at MI Azizan Palembang is 91.5% and 8.5% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This paper discusses the contributions of classical scholars to the development of Islamic religious sciences, including theology, fiqh, tafsir, hadith, and tasawuf. The background of this research focuses on the importance of understanding the thoughts of classical Muslim intellectuals in the context of contemporary Islamic education. The method employed is a qualitative approach, collecting data through literature review and document analysis. The findings indicate that classical scholars, such as al-Ghazali and Ibn Khaldun, have created relevant and systematic methodologies in the study of religious sciences that can be applied in modern education. The discussion reveals that integrating Islamic values across various disciplines is crucial for shaping students' character and addressing contemporary challenges. The conclusion emphasizes the need to revitalize educational approaches that accommodate religious values and scientific knowledge, as well as the importance of continuing the intellectual legacy of classical scholars in facing today's complexities.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of outdoor learning on the socio-emotional development of children aged 5–6 years at TK IKI PTPN VII Musi Landas. A quantitative one-group pretest–posttest design was employed with 14 purposively selected children who participated in structured outdoor learning sessions. Children’s socio-emotional development was assessed through systematic observation conducted before and after the intervention. The results indicate a significant improvement in socio-emotional development following outdoor learning activities (t_cal = 14.741, α = 0.05). Post-intervention observations revealed notable gains in empathy, cooperation, responsibility, independence, and emotional control. Outdoor settings provided children with authentic opportunities to interact with peers and the environment, encouraging social sensitivity, self-regulation, and confidence through active, contextual experiences. These findings suggest that outdoor learning can function as an effective pedagogical strategy to strengthen socio-emotional competencies in early childhood, complementing cognitive growth with meaningful social and emotional engagement. The study offers practical evidence for educators and schools to integrate well-designed outdoor activities into daily learning to support holistic child development.

Abstract

Student delinquency is one of the challenges faced in the school environment, especially at the junior high school level. This research aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in dealing with student delinquency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with field research type with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation.The research results show that PAI teachers have a strategic role as educators, advisors, role models, mentors and motivators in shaping student character. PAI teachers apply various strategies, such as providing an understanding of religious values, holding group discussions, and taking a personal approach to students who have problems. Apart from that, collaboration between PAI teachers and Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers is an important factor in creating effective solutions. In addition, the study highlights that the integration of religious education in school culture contributes significantly to the prevention and reduction of student delinquency. Therefore, strengthening the role of PAI teachers is essential in fostering disciplined, responsible, and ethical behavior among students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji integrasi antara pembelajaran sains dan pendidikan akidah akhlak di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), dengan mendasarkan kajiannya pada pemikiran ilmuwan Muslim klasik. Masalah utama yang diangkat adalah masih minimnya pendekatan pembelajaran yang menggabungkan ilmu pengetahuan modern dengan nilai-nilai keislaman secara konseptual dan aplikatif di tingkat pendidikan dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus di MI Al-Khoiriyah Banyuasin yang telah menerapkan model integratif dalam kurikulum. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara mendalam dengan guru, dan analisis dokumen pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi sains dan akidah akhlak dapat dilakukan secara sinergis melalui pendekatan tematik, penggunaan narasi tokoh ilmuwan Muslim klasik seperti Al-Farabi, Ibn Sina, dan Al-Ghazali, serta penguatan nilai-nilai tauhid dalam pembahasan konsep-konsep sains. Integrasi ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep sains, tetapi juga memperkuat karakter spiritual dan moral siswa. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis nilai yang relevan dengan konteks pendidikan Islam kontemporer.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at the senior high school level requires active and inclusive approaches to accommodate students’ diverse intelligence profiles and to promote comprehensive internalization of Islamic values. One relevant approach is kinesthetic learning based on multiple intelligences. This study aims to analyze the strategies employed by PAI teachers in designing, implementing, and evaluating kinesthetic learning based on multiple intelligences at SMA Negeri 2 Palembang, as well as to identify its impact on students’ engagement and understanding. This research adopts a qualitative method with a case study approach. The findings indicate that PAI teachers integrate kinesthetic approaches with bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, and intrapersonal intelligences through activities such as Islamic history role-playing, Qur’anic memorization through movement, and collaborative group work. Despite challenges related to classroom management and limited facilities, these strategies effectively enhance students’ participation and internalization of religious values. The study concludes that the effectiveness of kinesthetic learning in Islamic education largely depends on teachers’ creativity, the alignment of instructional models with students’ intelligence profiles, and sustained institutional support and pedagogical training.

Abstract

The study of the sources of Islamic law is a crucial aspect in understanding the normative construction and the dynamics of its application amid complex social changes. This article aims to comprehensively elaborate on the four classical primary sources of Islamic law—namely the Qur’an, Sunnah, Ijma‘ (consensus), and Qiyas (analogical reasoning)—and to examine their epistemological relevance in contemporary contexts. The research employs a qualitative method with a library-based approach, focusing on critical analysis of both classical and modern literature concerning the epistemology of Islamic law. The findings indicate that the epistemological structure of Islamic law is dynamic, open to the process of ijtihad (independent reasoning), and capable of adapting to evolving social realities. In contemporary settings, challenges such as globalization, legal pluralism, and scientific advancement demand a reinterpretation of Islamic legal sources through interdisciplinary approaches. The study also identifies a methodological gap in Islamic legal studies, particularly in integrating maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah (objectives of Islamic law) with modern social sciences. Therefore, a new paradigm is needed to bridge the normative Islamic tradition with the needs of modern society, aiming to produce Islamic legal formulations that are more responsive, contextual, and oriented toward public welfare. This study is expected to enrich the discourse on the epistemology of Islamic law and encourage the development of more inclusive and transformative methodologies.
