Abstract

Steam learning training through the Loose Part Media is a community service program that aims to provide education to institutions, educators and parents of students in an effort to improve the quality of education, especially early childhood education. STEAM learning for early childhood or pre-school children emphasizes more on active learning, stimulating children, solving problems, focusing on solutions, building logical and systematic ways of thinking and sharpening critical thinking skills. In optimizingtheapplication of STEAM learning, it is necessary to support adequate teaching resources, especially in the procurement of teaching media and play tools. Reviewing from the strategic location of the service located in Bone Bolango Gorontalo province which is a coastal area far from the city so that it is difficult to procure teaching media and play tools. Therefore, one of the right solutions that can support the optimization of the application of STEAM learning is the use of Loose Part media. Throughthe use of Loose Part media, institutions, educators and parents can use objects in the environment around children as teaching media and play tools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Bagaimana gerakan nonlokomotor anak usia 5-6 Tahun pada masa pandemi di TK Nusa Indah Kelurahan Pauwo Kecamatan Kabila Kabupaten Bone Bolango. Pendekatan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian dilaksanakan di TK Nusa Indah Kelurahan Pauwo Kecamatan Kabila Kabupaten Bone Bolango kegiatan penelitian di kelas B yang memiliki siswa sebanyak 20 orang yakni 76 orang laki-laki dan 13 orang perempuan selama 2 bulan yaitu dari bulan Febuari sampai dengan Maret 2021. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan gerakan nonlokomotor pada anak mencakup aspek mengayun, menekuk, meluruskan dan berputar melalui stimulasi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the effect of Microsoft Power Point learning media on cognitive abilities in early childhood group B, Gorontalo City. This research is an experimental quantitative research with one group pretest-posttest research design and a sample size of 25 children. The results showed that there were differences in cognitive abilities before and after using Microsoft Power Point learning media. Judging from the average number before using Microsoft Power Point learning media is 18.04 and the average value after is 32.84. Based on the t-test using paired samples test, the results of the t-test = 23.90 while the value of t-table = 2.064, so the value of t-count = 23.90 > t- table = 2.064 or p-value = 0.00 <0.05 in other words tcount > ttable then Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is an influence of Microsoft Power Point learning media on cognitive abilities in early childhood. The increase is influenced because Microsoft Power Point attracts children's interest to recognize symbols, numbers, shapes, recognize colors, recognize differences from something that almost looks the same, recognize different sounds, and recognize sound sources.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the creative thinking abilities of children aged 5-6 years in free drawing activities during the COVID- 19 pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using were observation techniques, interviews and documentation. The results of the study can be observed based on four indicators on creative thinking, namely (1) thinking fluently, children can smoothly answer teacher questions and smoothly determine the image to be made; (2) flexible thinking, children can think more than one idea so that children can make two kinds of pictures; (3) think original, children can draw independently; and (4) think in detail, the child can give color to the image and can produce clear images.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of online games on the emotional abilities of children aged 5-6 years in Leok 1 Village, Biau District, Buol Regency. This study is an Ex-post facto quantitative study and the number of samples is 30 children. From the results of the study, there was an effect of I on children's emotional abilities by looking at the average value of x and y. This can be seen in X obtaining an average value of 31.06 while in Y data obtaining an average value of 49.06. Based on the output of the Statistical Test, it is known that sig.n(2-tailed) is 0.000. Because the value is 0.000 0.05, the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, the research hypothesis states that there is an influence of online games on the emotional abilities of children aged 5-6 years in Leok 1 Village, Biau District, Buol Regency. The influence that arises makes children easily rebellious, cry and sulk when the use of online games is limited.

Abstract

This purpose of this research was to determine the effect of Smart Tree media on the ability to recognize letters in children aged 4-5 years in Raudhatul Athfal Almourky, Telaga District, Gorontalo Regency. The sampling technique in this study was using a purposive sampling technique with a total of 25 children. The research method used is quantitative research with a one group pre-posttest design. The results of the study illustrate that there is a difference between the ability to recognize letters before using smart tree media and after, it can be proven by the number of average values before using smart tree media is 25.2 while the average value after using smart tree media is 42.36. Through the smart tree, children can recognize letters through play-based learning in accordance with the stages of early childhood learning so as to foster self-confidence in children, and improve language development aspects.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of number fishing games on the ability of the concept of numbers of children aged 5-6 years. This study is a quantitative study with experimental methods and using test performance data collection techniques, the subjects of this study are 22 students. Data analysis consists of two parts, descriptive and quantitative used in comparing the test value of the initial condition (pre-test) and the final condition (post-test). The results showed that: before the use of game media tends to be high who cannot know the concept of numbers, compared to the use of children’s game media can know the concept of numbers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's role in developing children's social skills during the Covid-19 pandemic in group B at the North Nusa Indah Toto Kindergarten, Tilongkabila District, Bone Bolango Regency. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. From the results of the study it can be seen that the teacher's role in developing children's social skills during the Covid 19 pandemic in group B at Nusa Indah Toto North Kindergarten, Tilongkabila District, Bone Bolango Regency was carried out through five roles, namely the teacher's role as a guide, informator, class manager, facilitator, and communicator well done. The role of the teacher as a facilitator is carried out by the teacher providing facilities that allow for the convenience of children's learning activities, the role of the teacher as a communicator is carried out by the teacher being a friend, or a child's confidant when the child is having problems at home.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aimed to determine the effect of the caterpillar game on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in children aged 5-6 years at TK Negeri Pembina Ki Hajar Dewantoro, Dungingi District, Gorontalo City.Design/methods/approach – The research uses experimental quantitative with pre-experimental type one grub pre-test and post-test. Data analysis used the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, followed by a t-test using SPPS software. Research respondents consisted of 30 children.Findings – The findings of this study resulted in an analysis of the value of the tcount amounted to 3,689. While the value of the ttable (α) = 0.05, which equals 0.674. If tcount >ttable 3.689 >0.674, in other words, tcount > ttable, then H 0 rejected and H 1 received. So that there is an influence between the caterpillar game on the ability of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in children aged 5-6 years at the State Kindergarten of Pembina Ki Hajar Dewantoro, Dungingi District, Gorontalo City.Research implications/limitations – This study focuses on children aged 5-6, the activity, and how the child completes the task correctly. In the learning process, some children are still challenged in their level of understanding, so there is a need for proper implementation of learning.Practical implications – This research contributes in the form of innovations to teachers in providing fun learning and references for the teaching team in developing learning media for children.Originality/value – This research provides an in-depth understanding of learning media innovation and developing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) on early childhood education.Paper type: Research paper

Abstract

Motorik kasar adalah gerakan yang dihasilkan dari kemampuan mengontrol otot-otot besar dalam melakukan kegiatan. Apabila hal ini kurang dikembangkan maka akan terjadi ketidak optimalan pada anak dalam menstimulus tumbuh kembangnya. Kegiatan aquatik atau kegiatan di dalam air memiliki peran penting dalam perkembangan anak-anak. Air memberikan lingkungan yang menyenangkan dan menarik bagi anak-anak untuk berinteraksi, bermain, dan belajar. Kegiatan aquatik dapat meliputi berenang, bermain air, serta latihan dan permainan di dalam kolam atau perairan lainnya. Pada artikel ini membahas pelaksanaan kegiatan aquatik pada anak-anak dan pentingnya meningkatkan perkembangan fisik, mental, dan sosial anak. Kegiatan aquatik tidak hanya memberikan kesenangan bagi anak-anak, tetapi juga memiliki manfaat jangka panjang dalam membentuk keterampilan motorik, kepercayaan diri, dan kolaborasi antara sesama. Hasil menyajikan gambaran umum mengenai kegiatan aquatik pada anak-anak, termasuk tujuan dan manfaat yang diperoleh kemampuan motorik anak lebih optimal
