Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the ability of mathematical understanding, learning activities and teaching skills of teachers through the Auditory Intellectualy Repetition model with assisted by the mathematical smart wheel media. This research is a classroom action research conducted in class IV SDN Sukobubuk 01 Margorejo District Pati Regency second semester 2019/2020 academic year. The research method uses classroom action research consisting of 2 cycles each cycle consisting of 4 stages namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The instruments used in this study were tests of mathematical understanding abilities, observation sheets of student learning activities and teacher teaching skills. Data will be analize test used in this research is quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The results showed, among others: (1) The ability of mathematical understanding through the Auditory Intellectualy Repetition Model assisted by the mathematical smart wheel media increased by 30.29 from the initial condition of 43.35 to 73.64 in the final condition; (2) Student learning activities through the Auditory Intellectualy Repetition Model assisted by mathematical smart wheel media have increased by 23.13 from the initial conditions of 53.12 to 76.25 in the final conditions; (3) Teachers' teaching skills in applying the Auditory Intellectualy Repetition Model assisted by the mathematical smart wheel media increased by 23.5 from the initial conditions of 52.5 to 76 in the final condition

Abstract

This research aims to describe the improvement (1) mathematics problem solving abilities, (2) improve student learning activity, and (3) teacher teaching skill in implementing inquiry learning model assisted by segita puzzle under material perimeter and area of square, rectangle, and triangle. The methods of collecting data were test, observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis of the research was quantitative and qualitative analysis. The findings showed improvement of the problem solving abilities average. In cycle I, it was 68, with percentage 71%, categorized well. It improved into 85 in cycle II with percentage 86%, categorized well. Student learning activity average in cycle I it was 80 with predicate sufficient. It improved into 88 with predicate well in cycle II. Teacher teaching skill in cycle I was 95, or 74%, categorized sufficient. In cycle II, it improved into 117.65, or 87%, categorized well. It is concluded that the implementation of inquiry model assisted by segita puzzle could improve mathematics problem solving abilities, student learning activity, and teacher teaching skill.

Abstract

Sumber belajar merupakan komponen penting dalam pembelajaran matematika sebab membantu kelancaran belajar siswa terutama untuk siswa yang memiliki hambatan dalam belajar matematika. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan sumber belajar matematika untuk siswa diskalkulia. Artikel ini merupakan artikel dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian adalah guru, kepala sekolah dan pengawas sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Kudus dengan jumlah empat puluh delapan orang yang dipilih seara acak. Data penelitian diperoleh dari pengisian angket kebutuhan sumber belajar matematika. Hasil analisis angket kebutuhan tersebut menunjukkan perlunya pengembangan sumber belajar khusus untuk siswa diskalkulia yang dikaitkan dengan kearifan lokal Kudus. Modul memudahkan siswa diskalkulia dalam mempelajari konten matematika yang sifatnya abstrak

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze mathematical communication skills in online learning of the Two Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) material with Whatsapp assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic in grade VIII SMP 3 Bae. This research is a qualitative descriptive study conducted in class VIII-E SMP 3 Bae Kudus with 28 students as research subjects. This mathematical communication ability is grouped into 3 criteria, namely high, medium, and low, each criterion is taken by 3 students to conduct an interview test. Data collection was taken through interviews and tests of mathematical communication skills, while data analysis began by examining all available data from various sources, namely the written test results of mathematical communication skills and the results of interviews. Based on the research, it was found that out of 28 students there were 3 students who had high communication skills, 4 students had moderate communication skills, and 21 students had moderate abilities.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan E-modul Berbasis Etnomatematika untuk menghasilkan suatu media pembelajaran yang valid dan praktis sehingga dapat menumbuhkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan minat belajar siswa kelas VII. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan Model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Developmet, Implementation and Evaluation). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP N 2 Nalumsari Jepara. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, tes kemampuan, angket minat belajar, angket analisis kebutuhan, lembar angket validasi ahli dan lembar angket respon. E-modul berbasis etnomatematika berisi mengenai materi segiempat dan segitiga yang di kaitkan dengan unsur kebudayaan Jawa Tengah. E-modul berbasis etnomatematika berisi beberapa fitur-fitur yang lebih menarik yaitu Pengetahuan Budaya Jawa Tengah (PANDAWA), Sekilas Materi (SEMAR), Latihan Soal Mandiri (LARASATI) yang berisi mengenai soal latihan berbasis kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul dinyatakan pada kriteria valid dengan skor 3,24. Hasil uji kepraktisan guru dan siswa didapatkan hasil rata-rata 3,28 dengan kategori praktis. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran e-modul berbasis etnomatematika dapat menumbuhkan kemampuan komunikasi dan minat belajar siswa kelas VII.

Abstract

Desa Mayong Lor Kecamatan Mayong Kabupaten Jepara merupakan desa sentra kerajinan tanah liat “Remitan”. Remitan merupakan mainan anak tradisional dari tanah liat berupa miniatur alat dapur seperti wajan, cobek, muntu, tungku, gentong, piring, dan lain-lain. Saat ini, pengembangan remitan sebagai produk unggulan daerah belum berkembang secara optimal oleh Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan serta UMKM di Jepara. Permasalahan yang dialami mitra saat ini adalah tidak adanya ragam produk“remitan” yang ramah anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat pada UKM Kampoeng Remitan yakni melalui sosialisasi, forum group discussion (FGD) dan workshop. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah adalah 1) pengetahuan pengrajin remitan tentang produk ramah anak meningkat dan 2) mitra memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam membuat inovasi produk “remitan” berbasis ramah anak.

Abstract

In the theory of gestalt learning suggests that learning is not just a relationship between stimulus and response, but there are goals that must be achieved, namely in gaining an understanding of what is being learned. The learning process can be carried out effectively if students know the learning objectives they will achieve. Therefore gestalt learning theory can support the process of students' understanding of learning by interacting with the outside world or the surrounding environment. Through learning in the surrounding environment, students can more easily digest the lessons being taught rather than just experiences and memorization. If mathematics lessons are taught using gestalt theory, students will become interested in learning because with this theory students will be allowed to solve problems and understand the concepts of the material being taught by interacting with their environment so that students will find it easier to understand the material. There are five applications of gestalt learning theory in the mathematics learning process, namely: (1) insight or insightful experience, (2) meaningful learning , (3) purposive behavior or purposeful behavior, (4) life space or living space principles, and (5) transfer in learning.

Abstract

In learning mathematics, students' mathematical reasoning ability is important because the learning is more emphasized on a problem-solving and reasoning activity that is very closely related to student achievement. However, in the current condition, students' mathematical reasoning in learning mathematics is still considered lacking and has not been emphasized specifically. The students' low mathematical reasoning needs to be improved in the mathematics learning process. There are several ways to train students in reasoning, namely by using learning models and teaching aids. A learning model that can improve students' mathematical reasoning abilities to make learning situations fun and make students not feel bored is the problem based learning (PBL) learning model. By combining problem based learning models and teaching aids, it can improve students' mathematical abilities so that learning objectives can be achieved and students not only memorize but also understand the subject matter.

Abstract

Beberapa siswa SD mengalami kesulitan belajar. Diskalkulia adalah ketidakmampuan siswa dalam berhitung. Dengan demikian, upaya yang dapat dilakukan guru ialah menggunakan teori dan metode belajar yang mengarah kepada penanaman konsep yang melibatkan keaktifan siswa. Adapun teori yang dimaksud yaitu Teori Bruner dengan Metode Drill. Belajar menurut Bruner merupakan suatu proses aktif yang memungkinkan manusia untuk mengekplorasi hal yang dianggapnya baru. Sedangkan Metode Drill merupakan penyajian materi yang dilakukan secara berulang. Sehingga tujuan penulisan ini adalah menambah wawasan mengenai penerapan Teori Bruner berbantuan Drill untuk siswa diskalkulia. Adapun metode penulisan yang digunakan merupakan telaah pustaka mengenai diskalkulia, Teori Bruner, dan Metode Drill. Belajar yang dapat melibatkan keaktifan siswa, apalagi untuk siswa diskalkulia yang kesulitan dalam menghitung. Penggunaan teori Bruner berbantu benda konkret dengan metode Drill akan memudahkan siswa dalam belajar terutama penyelesaian soal cerita pada materi Perkalian.Some elementary school students have learning difficulties. Dyscalculia is a student's inability to count. Thus, efforts that can be made by teachers are to use theories and learning methods that lead to the cultivation of concepts that involve student activity. The theory in question is Bruner's Theory with the Drill Method. According to Bruner, learning is an active process that allows humans to explore things that they consider new. While the Drill Method is a presentation of material that is carried out repeatedly. So the purpose of this paper is to add insight into the application of Drill-assisted Bruner Theory for dyscalculia students. The writing method used is a literature review on dyscalculia, Bruner's theory, and the Drill Method. Learning that can involve student activity, especially for dyscalculia students who have difficulty in counting. The use of Bruner's theory with the help of concrete objects with the Drill method will make it easier for students to learn, especially solving story problems in the Multiplication material.

Abstract

David Kolb’s learning theory called Experiential Learning Theory states that learning is not just listening, but reflecting on what has been learned. That learning process can be carried out well if students can understand the material that has been studied by being directly involved in the proving process. Especially in mathematics. Mathematics is still a subject that is not liked by students. Students assume that mathematics is a rote science and it is difficult for them to solve mathematical problems. Therefore, in this article, it will be explained related to David Kolb’s learning theory an its applicationto mathematics learning in Cartesian coordinates. The research method used in the preparation of this article is a literature study on David Kolb’s learning theory and its application to mathematics learning in cartesian coordinates. Experiential learning is carried out through 4 stages, that is 1) concrete experience (feeling), 2) refelection observation (watching), 3) abstract conceptualization (thinking), and 4) active experimentation (doing). Kolb also explained that there are 4 different learning style, that is 1) diverger, 2) assimilator, 3) converger, and 4) accommodator
