Abstract

The Bengawan River exhibits interconnected dynamics. As a result, erosion and sedimentation occur at various points along the river, especially after significant discharge events. HEC-RAS is a software developed by USACE that can simulate 1D sediment transport in rivers. The objective of this research is to analyze the changes in cross-sections of the Bengawan River due to the influence of a 100-year flood using HEC-RAS. The methods employed include the analysis of the 100-year flood discharge using HEC-HMS software and the analysis of cross-sectional changes using HEC-RAS. Based on the analysis, the peak discharge of the 100-year flood hydrograph is determined to be 35.85 m³/s. In the HEC-RAS simulation using a quasi-unsteady flow type with a duration of 48 hours, changes in river cross-sections were observed at stations STA 0+275, 0+250, 0+200, 0+175, 0+100, and 0+75. These cross-sectional changes were caused by sedimentation with thicknesses ranging from 0.13 cm to 2.08 cm

Abstract

Abstract

Punishment of children in conflict with the law requires an approach that is not only repressive but also considers the rights and future of children. A conditional sentence is a form of alternative punishment that can maintain children in a proper social environment without serving a criminal period in a correctional institution. This article examines the urgency of applying conditional punishment in juvenile cases and highlights the strategic role of community research reports in influencing judges' decisions. This research uses a qualitative method with an empirical juridical approach through field observations, literature studies, and interviews. The results show that the quality of recommendations is the primary key to successful conditional sentences in court. Data-based recommendations that address the dimensions of supervision, environmental support, and the effectiveness of non-agency coaching tend to be more accepted by judges. The optimization of conditional punishment requires increasing the capacity of community supervisors, national standardization of reports, and evaluation and feedback mechanisms from law enforcement officials to ensure the quality of recommendations submitted.

Abstract

Law students are expected to have special abilities in the field of legal science, either in oral or oral. But in fact, the analytical skills of law students are not comparable to other abilities. Based on preliminary research conducted by the Proposer Team, it shows that out of 200 law students surveyed (Students of the Faculty of Law, Semarang State University), only 10 have written and conducted scientific publications in both national and international journals. Meanwhile, of the 200 people stated that students' critical abilities and analytical thinking are important, 184 people said that discussion forums are mandatory for law students, but in fact, of these 184 people, only 2 people followed up on the results of the discussion. . In other words, discussions conducted by students were not followed up in various forms of scientific studies and publications that could be read by many people. This program provides facilities for law students in in-depth critical analysis studies and criminal case studies related to human rights. In this program, students are expected to be able to have good analytical skills both in oral and verbal forms. Partners in this program are the law student community at Semarang State University. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has become one of the most unexpected problems, and has had a significant impact on all sectors. Not only the health sector, but also education. The pandemic is forcing all parties to change the pattern and method of education, as well as forcing them to adapt quickly. Various learning process activities are carried out online, but various research results show the weaknesses of this method. Starting from the effectiveness of the learning process, dependence on communication devices (cell phones and laptops), to various legal problems faced by teachers, students, and parents of students. This service program aims to provide reinforcement in terms of protection for teachers and students during the pandemic by involving multi-sectors (Universities-Legal Aid Institutions-Teachers' Union). The partner in this activity is the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) in Mirit District, Kebumen Regency, Central Java. The implementation method in this service uses several things, namely: (1) socialization, (2) education, (3) legal assistance, (4) partner networks. Through this service program, it is hoped that in addition to realizing collaboration between institutions: the Faculty of Law UNNES-LBH-PGRI, it is also hoped that this activity can provide encouragement for teachers in increasing the capacity of legal assistance.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises are business activities that can expand employment and provide extensive economic services to the community. They can also play a role in equalizing and increasing public income, promoting economic growth, and contributing to national stability. In addition, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises are one of the main pillars of the national economy that must get the most opportunities, support, protection, and development as a form of firm partiality to the people's economic business groups, without neglecting the role of Large Enterprises and State-Owned Enterprises. In Law No. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, simplification of Business Permissions through Integrated Online Licensing (Online Single Submission). Mergosari Village became the first to produce batik with a typical Wonosobo motif through the Batik Mergosari community named Batik Carica Lestari. The problems partners face include the lack of knowledge and understanding of small- and medium-sized business actors in Mergosari Village regarding the legal aspects of business actors, which still need to be improved. The solution to this problem is to provide education using lectures and seminars with village officials and small and medium enterprises of Mergosari Village, and small and medium enterprises should have a Business Master Number (NIB). The method of service is to provide education through socialization and mentoring practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the environmental impact and effectiveness of various types of fishery product packaging in Pangkajene and Kepulauan (Pangkep) Regency, South Sulawesi, and assess the perceptions of industry players and consumers. Data were obtained from 15 SMEs, 5 distributors, and 30 consumers through surveys, interviews, and laboratory tests. The results show that 80% of SMEs still use conventional plastic (PP/PE), 3 large exporters use multilayer packaging, and 2 SMEs are trying biodegradable alternatives. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analysis shows that multilayer has the highest environmental impact with a carbon footprint of 4.5 kg CO₂ eq per kg of product, conventional plastic 3.2 kg CO₂ eq, while biodegradable has the lowest at 1.4 kg CO₂ eq. Effectiveness tests show that multilayer is the most protective with a shelf life of up to 12 months, conventional plastic only 2-3 months with the risk of additive migration, while biodegradable can maintain quality for 3-6 months but is less resistant to moisture. The survey revealed that 70% of consumers are willing to pay more for environmentally friendly products, while 60% of industries struggle to switch due to high costs, although 90% support government incentives. The study concluded that biodegradable packaging has the potential to become a sustainable packaging solution with policy support and research and development based on locally sourced materials.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Green Mining concept by PT Semen Tonasa and its relationship with environmental sustainability, agricultural productivity, and the welfare of farmers around the mining area. The approach used is descriptive qualitative supported by simple quantitative analysis (Spearman correlation) to assess the relationship between Green Mining metrics (ISO 50001, TSR biomass, land reclamation, and CSR) and community socio-economic indicators. Data were obtained through farmer surveys, interviews with the company and local government, and a review of CSR and energy efficiency documents. The results show that land reclamation exceeded the target of 17.16 ha from 15.85 ha (91.67% success), the implementation of ISO 50001 increased energy efficiency by 18.52%, saved 1,214,159 MWh, and reduced emissions by 435,864 tons of CO₂-e. Biomass substitution increased by 1.17% to 8.13%, followed by a 22.6% increase in rice productivity and a 20% increase in farmer income (Rp 2.5–3.0 million/month). These results confirm Green Mining's significant contribution to energy and economic sustainability, but the unequal distribution of benefits requires tripartite collaboration and the application of the Just Transition principle within the Triple Bottom Line framework.
