Abstract

Malnutrition and tuberculosis (TB) are interconnected or interconnected problems. Malnutrition in TB patients is one of them influenced by lack of family support for TB patients, both in emotional, appreciative, instrumental, and informational support. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of supportive educational system  interventions in improving family support. This research method is quantitative with a quasi experimental design, in two health centers, namely Kandang Mas and Betungan, consisting of 48 respondents who were divided into 2 groups, namely the control group, given the standard intervention of the health center (n=24) and the treatment group, given the standard intervention of the health center and the supportive educative system (n=24). The data were analyzed using the two-way anova test. The results showed that the family development stage and the interaction between the family development stage and the intervention group did not affect family support (p > 0.05). Meanwhile,  the supportive educative system  intervention had a negative effect on family support in improving the nutritional status of TB patients (p = 0.015, mean = 76.52), however,  the supportive educative system  intervention had a positive effect on instrumental support in the treatment group (p = 0.029, mean = 81.19). Conclusion of this study is that  the supportive educative system intervention  is not more effective than the standard intervention of the health center, this can occur due to the influence of sample characteristics, research time, and control of variables and other factors that also affect the results of the study.

Abstract

Introduction: Mental health issues among university students are becoming increasingly prevalent and have a significant impact on academic performance and overall well-being. In response, mobile health (mHealth) applications and digital psychometric tools have emerged as promising solutions for expanding access to mental health support. However, challenges remain in terms of effectiveness, user engagement, long-term scalability, and integration into institutional frameworks and policy systems. Methods: This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis using three established techniques co-citation analysis, bibliographic coupling, and co-word analysis to examine the evolution of digital mental health research in higher education. These complementary methods collectively provide a triangulated understanding of intellectual foundations, thematic development, and conceptual trends. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database, filtered for relevance, and visualized using VOSviewer software to identify key themes, conceptual structures, and research trends. Results: The analysis identified four major co-citation clusters centered on psychometric tools and digital intervention strategies, three bibliographic coupling clusters highlighting challenges in engagement and implementation, and five Co-word clusters representing emerging research areas such as mindfulness apps, resilience, and digital literacy. Findings reveal growing interdisciplinary collaboration, yet highlight persistent barriers in user adherence, cultural adaptation, and policy development. Conclusion: The study provides a structured overview of current research on digital mental health interventions in higher education, uncovering gaps in policy integration and long-term effectiveness. It offers practical insights for educators, healthcare professionals, and policymakers seeking to develop sustainable, evidence-based mental health strategies. Moving forward, institutions must focus on inclusive design, ethical data use, and institutional readiness to enhance the impact and scalability of digital mental health tools.

Abstract

Bengkulu City has experienced a decline in exclusive breastfeeding coverage over the past three years (2020-2022). Research related to education for prospective fathers in Bengkulu City has not been widely implemented. This study aims to analyze the effect of exclusive breastfeeding module interventions on the knowledge and attitudes of prospective fathers about breastfeeding in Bengkulu City. A quasi-experimental study was conducted in April-September 2024 with a population of prospective fathers who have wives with a gestational age of more than 27 weeks or the third trimester. The sample consisted of 15 people in the control group and 15 people in the intervention group. The sampling method used purposive sampling. The research variables include the knowledge and attitudes of prospective fathers about breastfeeding, as well as the exclusive breastfeeding module. The instrument used was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately. There were insignificant results from the knowledge variable between the two groups, both pre-test (p = 0.074) and post-test (0.546). While on the attitude variable, significant results were obtained between the two groups, both pre-test (0.001) and post-test (0.044). The exclusive breastfeeding module intervention only affected the attitude variable of prospective fathers about breastfeeding between the intervention group and the control group, both before and after the intervention. While on the knowledge variable of prospective fathers about exclusive breastfeeding, there was no effect between the two groups, both pre-test and post-test.

Abstract

The West Ring Quality Family Village has families at risk of stunting, so efforts are needed to reduce this condition so that it does not lead to stunting. This study aims to determine the evaluation of the best practice Kampung KB program in efforts to control stunting. This research uses a qualitative method with thematic analysis. This research was conducted in October 2024 with informants consisting of cadres, stakeholders and PLKB. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation, Researchers conducted observations by going to the field to directly observe the implementation of activities and in-depth interviews are conducted using an interview guide containing several questions that form the basis for extracting information from informants. In addition, researchers conducted documentation to collect supporting data such as archives and pictures related to the activities. The collected data was then analyzed through the reduction stage to select relevant information, display to compile data in a systematic form and finally draw conclusions to identify successes and obstacles in the program. Overall, the program has succeeded in increasing understanding, commitment, role and real impact in stunting control, the combination of education, mentoring and cross-sector collaboration provides good results, creating sustainable positive changes in the community. The Best Practice Program in Quality Family Village shows positive results due to the involvement of all parties including cadres, stakeholders, PLKB and the community in preventing stunting and increasing community knowledge related to nutritious food. However, this activity still cannot be said to be effective because there are several obstacles such as toddlers who do not want to eat or only finish a small portion of the portion provided, economic differences between families and budget limitations. This study contributes to science by identifying and looking at the success of best practices in controlling stunting.

Abstract

Background: Breast milk is optimal for infant nutrition, and to ensure its sustained practice, maternal assistance from partners is essential, so that the breastfeeding process runs according to the expectations of the couple. Objectives: To identify the forms of support offered by partners for breastfeeding continuity. Methods: This research was conducted through a systematic review of qualitative research using three databases, namely PubMed, Scopus, and ScienceDirect, published from 2014 to 2023. The JBI Critical Appraisal Checklist for Qualitative Research was utilized to critically evaluate the included publications, resulting in the inclusion of five studies. Results: Within the breastfeeding context, "husband support" can refer to several types of assistance, including emotional support, seeking breastfeeding information, helping with the mother's work, assisting in parenting responsibilities, and confiding in the mother and financial support. Only two of the seven studies indicated receiving financial support to replace the husband's role. Support from a partner makes a mother feel more confident about breastfeeding her baby. A positive response from the partner will help the mother feel more comfortable while breastfeeding her child. Conclusions: This systematic review provides a valuable reference for future research development by considering the phenomenon of spousal support for breastfeeding participation.

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting in children under five years old remains a major global health concern, affecting approximately 22.3% of children worldwide. It contributes to impairments in physical and cognitive development, reduced academic performance, lower economic productivity, and increased susceptibility to non-communicable diseases. This study aims to synthesize comprehensive evidence regarding the determinants associated with stunting in children under five. Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted using data from 22 eligible studies retrieved from international databases (Scopus, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Springer). Heterogeneity was assessed using the I² statistic, and a random-effects model was applied to estimate the odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI). Publication bias was evaluated using funnel plot visualization and Egger’s test. Results: Meta-analysis findings demonstrate that several determinants significantly increase the risk of stunting, including low maternal education (OR = 1.63; 95% CI: 1.11–2.41; I² = 84.64%), low paternal education (OR = 1.66; 95% CI: 1.05-2.61; I² = 55.64%), maternal occupation (OR = 1.59; 95% CI: 1.09-2.32; I² = 71.16%), low household income (OR = 1.83; 95% CI: 1.30-2.58; I² = 73.72%), and households with two or more young children (OR = 2.34; 95% CI: 1.65-3.30; I² = 23.89%). Additional factors such as inadequate antenatal care (OR = 1.62; 95% CI: 1.07-2.47; I² = 41.71%), non-exclusive breastfeeding (OR = 1.21; 95% CI: 1.60-3.03; I² = 80.25%), incomplete immunization (OR = 2.77; 95% CI: 1.48-5.19; I² = 63.58%), low birth weight (OR = 2.72; 95% CI: 1.61-4.66; I² = 65.71%), and a history of infectious diseases (OR = 1.96; 95% CI: 1.36-2.82; I² = 64.06%) were also strongly associated with stunting. No substantial publication bias was indicated by Egger’s test (p > 0.05). Conclusion:Stunting is influenced by a combination of sociodemographic factors and maternal-child health services, such as parental education, household income, and exclusive breastfeeding. Reducing the prevalence of stunting requires integrated policies that encompass education, health, and family economic empowerment.
