Abstract

Creative thinking skills can train and develop thinking processes in finding new ideas and ideas to solve chemical problems and problems through discovery, exploration, experimentation, showing and demonstrating similarities, differences, and consistency. Therefore, it is necessary to update what has been learned, such as choosing the right strategy. This study aims to demonstrate the effect of implementing a guided discovery learning model using a SETS approach supported by the chemical Young's modulus on the creative thinking skills of students in the SMAN 1 Padang XI class. The method used was a quasi-experimental study with a randomized control group posttest-only design. The population of this study is all SMAN 1 Padang Class XI students enrolled in the 2021/2022 academic year, which includes 7 classes. A study population is grouped using random sampling techniques. The non-testing tools used were the Student Profile Assessment Form and the Creativity Assessment Criteria. The data analysis technique in this study was quantitative data analysis, testing hypotheses by using two unpaired samples in the mean similarity test analysis tcount> ttable. The result of the hypothesis test indicates that the research hypothesis is accepted. This means that the implementation of the Guided Discovery Learning Model using the SETS approach supported by the Electrochemistry module has had a significant impact on the creative thinking skills of students in Class XI at SMA 1 Negeri Padang

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the application of guided discovery learning models based on lesson study for community learning on student learning outcomes. The type of research that pseudo-experiments use with research design is pretest-postest control group design. The population consists of students of class X MIPA at public high school 1 Padang. Sample selection is carried out by random sampling techniques, and selected sample classes, namely X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 4. The instrument used in this study is a test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions consisting of 20 questions with 5 answer options. Data analysis techniques use n-gain tests, normality tests, F tests and hypothesis tests (t tests). The average learning outcomes of students of the experiment and control classes were 81, and 72, respectively,.The level of influence of LSLC-based guided discovery learning models is analyzed through n-gain test scores. From the results of the study obtained an n-gain score in the experimental class of 0.74 with a high category while the control class was 0.61 with a medium category. At the significance level of 0.05 indicates the value of tcount (2.746) > ttable (1.995). So that the implementation of a guided discovery learning model based on lesson study for community learning has a problem with improving student learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: Development of STEM-Based Problem Learning E-Module on Electrolysis Cell Material for Class XII SMA/MA. This study aims to develop an electrolysis cell e-module based on STEM Integrated problem-based learning. The type of research used is research and development or Research and Development (RD). The development model used is the plomp model which consists of 3 stages, namely: preliminary research (early investigation stage), (2) development or prototyping phase (development or prototyping stage), and (3) assessment phase (trial and assessment stage). This research is limited to the development stage, namely the validity test and practicality test. The research instrument used was a validity and practicality questionnaire. The E-Module was validated by 5 validators while the practicality test was carried out by 3 chemistry teachers and 16 students of class XII MIPA SMAN 10 Padang. The data from the validity test were analyzed using the Aikens'V formula and the practicality was analyzed using descriptive statistics. Validation is carried out in two stages. Stage I obtained an average content validity test of 0.76 with an invalid category and an average media validity test of 0.77 with an invalid category, so that stage II validation was carried out, where the average content validity test was 0. 91 with a valid category and the media validity test average of 0.90 with a valid category. While the practicality test for teachers is 0.91 and students are 0.91 with a very high practicality category. Thus, it can be concluded that the problem-based integrated STEM-based electrolysis cell e-module produced for class XII SMA/MA students that was developed is valid and practical.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the categories of validity and practicality of the e-modules that have been produced. The type of research is classified as a 4-D model, which has four stages, namely the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The instruments used are a validation sheet and a practical sheet in the form of a questionnaire sheet. The resulting product was tested for validity by 5 validators, consisting of 3 lecturers majoring in chemistry at FMIPA UNP and 2 teachers from SMAN 1 Rao, Pasaman Regency. Practicality tests were carried out by 2 chemistry teachers along with 15 students in class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Rao, Pasaman District. Based on the validation results, the value of kappa moment (k) is 0.86. The practicality of teachers and students is then obtained by the average value of kappa moment (k) of 0.90 and 0.88. The value obtained indicates that the resulting e-module is categorized as very valid and practical.

Abstract

HOTS is an ability that can transfer, connect one material with other material, process information and solve problems obtained from the information creatively and critically. Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) are abilities that must be prossessed by students in facing global competition in the 21st century industrial revolution 4.0 in accprdence with the 2013 curriculum. This study aims to produce a test instrument for higher order thinking skill (HOTS) in chemical equilibrium and determine the level of validity and its reliability. This tyepe of research is research and development (R&D) and use the research model that has been developed by treagust (1988). The results showed that the value of the validity of the content instrument test was 1 and the validity of the construct instrument was 95% in the material aspect, 94% on the presentation aspect, 96% on the language aspect, and 08% on the additional rules. The instrument reliability tes coefficient is 0,85 for the question (fisrt tier) and 0,89 for the reason (second tier).

Abstract

Most of the topics discussed in chemistry are abstract, meaning that the concepts studied do not appear concrete. E-modules are learning media that can be presented using multiple chemical presentations to present abstract material, one of which is electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution material. The aim of this research is to produce a valid e-module of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions based on contextual teaching and learning. The validity value will be obtained by using the Aiken’s V formula. This research used Educational Design Research type with Plomp as the development model. The average value of Aikens' V obtained is 0.892 for content validity, 0.896 for construct validity and 0.893 for expert validity, so that this e-module is stated to include category learning media that is already valid to be used during the learning process.

Abstract

This research was conducted to continue previous research on the development of guided inquiry-based chemical equilibrium e-modules that have been tested for validity and practicality, but have not yet been tested for their effectiveness. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of effectiveness of the GIL-based chemical equilibrium e-module equipped with a practicum video that had been developed on the learning outcomes of class XI students of SMA N 1 Payung Sekaki. This research uses Pre-Experimental Design with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The population includes students of class XI IPA 1 SMA N 1 Payung Sekaki in the academic year 2021/2022 and the sample is taken using a saturated sampling technique. Until l cover the entire population. This study uses a test instrument in the form of objective questions with validity, reliability, difficulty index, and discriminating power of questions that have good criteria. The level of effectiveness of the guided inquiry-based e-module equipped with a practicum video can be known after the N-Gain test is carried out. The N-Gain analysis on the sample class gave the results of the value of g = 0.58 in the medium category. This shows that the use of e-modules as a substitute for guided inquiry-based chemicals equipped with practical videos is effective in improving the learning outcomes of class XI students of SMA N 1 Payung Sekaki.
