Abstract

The food and beverage industry contributes significantly to the Indonesian economy. The fermented beverage market is growing due to consumer awareness of health. Recently, there has been a development in non-dairy fermented products, one example of a popular fermented drink is tepache. Tepache fermented drinks have the potential to become a business because in addition to utilizing waste, Indonesia also has the potential for local fruit. By applying production skills, packaging and storage technology, business management, and good marketing will support business potential. This community service program seeks to advocate marketing innovation and business opportunities. Because there are still obstacles, the product packaging currently used is less attractive to customers and there are still many prospective buyers who do not know the products and businesses of the Al-Qur'an garden due to the lack of information dissemination. The method used is Focus Group Discussion (FGD) for advocacy of marketing innovation and calculation of Production Cost for advocacy of business opportunities. The results obtained are packaging using cans that can maintain the quality and integrity of the product and informative packaging design to provide information effectively to customers and promotion through social media. In addition, tepache fermented drinks have promising business opportunities because the market is still open and the price range is in accordance with the health benefits offered by tepache fermented drinks.

Abstract

Kegiatan usahatani padi di Indonesia dalam rangka memproduksi produk kebutuhan pangan pokok yaitu beras, dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor yang berkaitan modal sosial diantaranya yaitu perilaku kontrol dan norma yang berlaku pada para petaninya. Perilaku kontrol dan norma sebagai modal sosial pada prakteknya seringkali berkaitan dengan kearifan lokal sehingga seringkali terdapat perbedaan dalam penerapannya antara satu wilayah dengan wilayah lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan perilaku kontrol dan norma petani pada 2 sentra produksi padi. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metoda survey. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah petani padi di kecamatan Ciracap dan Rancaekek dengan sampel 44 petani padi di Ciracap dan 41 petani padi di Rancaekek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku kontrol dan norma petani padi di Rancaekek sudah baik, namun perilaku kontrol dan norma petani di Ciracap lebih baik lagi. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang nyata antara petani di Ciracap dan Rancaekek dalam hal perilaku kontrol dan norma.

Abstract

Masyarakat telah semakin menyadari akan pentingnya pola hidup sehat dan manfaat kesehatan yang ditawarkan oleh produk-produk alami, termasuk minuman fermentasi. Namun demikian, produk minuman fermentasi masih belum terlalu populer bagi masyarakat. Pengetahuan konsumen konsumen mengenai minuman fermentasi merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian dan perilaku konsumsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan konsumen dan perilaku konsumen dalam mengkonsumsi minuman fermentasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survei kepada 58 responden dari hasil sampling acak sederhana. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas responden memiliki karakteristik berjenis kelamin perempuan yang berusia 19 tahun dengan uang saku sekitar 1 juta hingga 2 juta setiap bulannya dan pengeluaran untuk konsumsi minuman pada rentang 100 ribu hingga 300 ribu rupiah setiap bulannya. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan mengenai kekurangan dari minuman fermentasi dengan frekuensi konsumsi minuman fermentasi dan merk minuman fermentasi.

Abstract

Produksi padi di Jawa Barat harus senantiasa ditingkatkan mengingat kebutuhan pangan yang semakin meningkat, namun dalam dua tahun terakhir ini produksi padi Jawa Barat mengalami penurunan. Subsistem penunjang usahatani padi diantaranya dukungan pemerintah menjadi salah satu faktor penting dalam meningkatkan produksi padi, namun peran dan dukungan yang diberikan kepada petani oleh pemerintah belum sepenuhnya maksimal, selain itu terdapat kecenderungan bahwa beda daerah akan berbeda pula kapasitas dukungan pemerintahnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan produktivitas padi dan dukungan pemerintah di beberapa daerah di sentra produksi di Jawa Barat dan menganalisis pengaruh dukungan pemerintah terhadap produktivitas padi di Jawa Barat. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling acak klaster sedemikian sehingga didapatkan sampel berukuran 281 petani di 5 cluster kabupaten di Jawa Barat. Alat analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistika deskriptif dan uji regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kabupaten dengan rata-rata produktivitas padi tertinggi dan terendah berturut-turut adalah Karawang (6,88 ton/ha) dan Sukabumi (5,34 ton/ha). Dukungan pemerintah berupa penyuluhan, regulasi, sarana dan prasarana budidaya padi, dukungan modal usahatani dan dukungan fasilitas kelitbangan penerapannya pada petani di berbagai daerah bervariasi, ada yang sudah bisa dirasakan oleh petani dan ada yang belum. Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan bahwa dukungan regulasi, sarana dan prasarana budidaya padi, dan fasilitas kelitbangan berpengaruh nyata terhadap produktivitas padi di Jawa Barat.

Abstract

There are many factors that influence the sustainability of rice farming, including social factors, namely cooperation and coordination between farmers. However, the level of farmer participation in cooperation and coordination can differ from one region to another. The purpose of this study was to describe the factors that influence cooperation and coordination of rice farmers and then compare them between rice farmers in Ciracap District, Sukabumi Regency and Rancaekek District, Bandung Regency. The design of this study used quantitative research with a comparative approach. The population in this study were rice farmers in Ciracap and Rancaekek Districts with a sample size of 44 rice farmers in Ciracap District and 41 rice farmers in Rancaekek. The results of the study showed that there were significant differences in terms of cooperation and coordination between rice farmers in Ciracap and Rancaekek. Rice farmers in Ciracap were stronger in carrying out cooperation and coordination between their farmers than rice farmers in Rancaekek.

Abstract

Fermented drinks made from fruits and spices are known to be beneficial for health and have high economic value. Public interest in these types of drinks has increased. However, the level of public knowledge and consumption of fermented drinks is still very low. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the characteristics of fermented drink consumers with consumer knowledge and consumption behavior. The research method used a survey method. The characteristics of fermented drink consumers are mostly female, living in boarding houses with flu as a common disease. There is a significant relationship between the gender of fermented drink consumers with knowledge about the types and benefits of fermented drinks. Then, the type of fermented drink is significantly related to the type of disease that is often suffered.

Abstract

Rice farming is an important agricultural activity in meeting the main food needs of the Indonesian people. Rice farming needs to be supported by adequate sources of financing. However, in practice, many farmers still have difficulty accessing farming financing because the agro-ecosystem conditions do not support each other. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between farmers' access to farming financing and their agro-ecosystem support. This study used a quantitative research design using descriptive and inferential statistics. The sample size of the study was 281 rice farmers in West Java from cluster random sampling results. The results showed that the majority of farmers generally consider that all indicators of access to farming financing to be still not supportive. Meanwhile, for the agro-ecosystem, farmers considered that most agro-ecosystem indicators had supported their farming except for OPT attacks which according to most farmers were still difficult to control. Correlation analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between farmers' access to financing and agro-ecosystem support for rice farming in West Java.

Abstract

Rice is the main food commodity in Indonesia. The level of rice consumption in Indonesia reached 35.3 million tonnes. Based on these facts, rice production in Indonesia must be able to meet domestic consumption needs. However, now that Indonesia is experiencing a trend of decreasing rice harvested area, West Java, which is one of the provinces with the largest rice production in Indonesia, has not escaped the trend of decreasing rice harvested area. So it is necessary to increase rice productivity in this province. Therefore, the aim of this research is to examine the influence of the characteristics of farmers and their farming on rice productivity in West Java. This research uses quantitative methods with regression analysis methods as a data analysis tool. The number of respondents in this study was 281 rice farmers. This research shows that the majority of farmers in West Java are men aged 40-60 years with elementary school education and long farming experience. The majority of rice farmers in West Java incur seed costs of around IDR 100-200 thousand per hectare per season, with land rental costs under IDR 10 million per hectare per season, medicine costs range from IDR 1-5 million per hectare per season for the majority of farmers, labor costs are less than IDR 5 million per season. The results of the regression analysis reveal that partially the cost of fertilizer and tractor rental significantly affects rice productivity. Simultaneously, the variable factors in this research show a significant influence on rice productivity in West Java. Furthermore, the regression model formed can be used to predict rice productivity in West Java. Key-words: farmer characteristics; rice farming; linear regression; rice productivity;

Abstract

The growth and changes in agricultural land over the last few decades have created their own dynamics. Every year there is a transformation of agricultural land in Indonesia. Special focus on West Java, the area of critical land is increasing, especially in the districts of Bandung, Cianjur and Garut. The aim of this research is to investigate and analyze the composition of land holdings by vegetable farmers in West Java. This research uses secondary and primary data from a survey with respondents being 500 potato farmers in West Java. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics using tables, cross-tabulation, diagrams and various graphs as data presentation tools. The results of data analysis in 2023 show that there changes on the structure of farmer land ownership. Although the majority (55.8%) of farmers still have a land area of less than 1 hectare, this has decreased by 7.8% compared to 2017. In particular, the decrease in agricultural land with an area of less than 0.5 hectares (3, 8%) is very high. On the other hand, there was an increase of 5% in farmer groups with land areas of 1 to 2 hectares. The concentration of land ownership in a small number of farmers (15%) who have land areas of more than 2 hectares, shows that there are large differences in land ownership. Although there has been an increase in land rentals, there is inequality in the area of land rentals. Keywords: Vegetable Farmers, Land Tenure, Descriptive Statistics INTISARIPertumbuhan dan perubahan lahan pertanian selama beberapa dekade terakhir menciptakan dinamika tersendiri. Setiap tahunnya terjadi transfornasi lahan pertanian di Indonesia.  Fokus khusus pada Jawa Barat, luas lahan kritis semakin meningkat, terutama di kabupaten Bandung, Cianjur, dan Garut.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki dan menganalisis komposisi luas penguasaan lahan oleh petani sayuran di Jawa Barat.  Penelitian Ini menggunakan data Sekunder dan Primer dari Survey dengan responden adalah 500 petani kentang di Jawa barat , data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan Statistika deskriptif dengan alat tabel, cross-tabulasi, diagram dan bermacam grafik sebagai alat presentasi data Hasil analisis data tahun 2023 menunjukkan terjadi perubahan signifikan pada struktur kepemilikan lahan  petani. Meski sebagian besar (55,8%) petani masih memiliki luas lahan kurang dari 1 hektar, namun hal ini mengalami penurunan sebesar 7,8% dibandingkan  tahun 2017. Secara khusus, penurunan lahan pertanian dengan luas kurang dari 0,5 hektar (3,8%) sangat tinggi. Sebaliknya, terjadi peningkatan sebesar 5% pada kelompok tani dengan luas lahan 1 hingga 2 hektar. Konsentrasi kepemilikan lahan yang terdapat pada sejumlah kecil petani (15%) yang memiliki luas lahan lebih dari 2 hektar, menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kepemilikan lahan yang besar. Meskipun ada peningkatan dalam penyewaan lahan, terdapat ketidaksetaraan dalam luas lahan sewa. Kata Kunci : Petani Sayuran, Penguasaan Lahan, Statistika Deskriptif

Abstract

Market segmentation can produce a strong marketing strategy. Apart from that, by segmenting you can also find consumers who have similar characteristics between what they want and what the processor offers, which will have an impact on increasing people's buying interest in the future. There are various kinds of processed mango products already circulating on the market. while consumers have various criteria in purchasing certain products or brands. Consumers tend to buy products that suit their needs, tastes and purchasing power. So the aim of this research is to analyze the consumer market for processed mango fruit products. The data used for this research comes from primary data and secondary data. This research was carried out at the Faculty of Agricultural Industrial Technology, Padjadjaran University. The results obtained from this research are that there are 6 market segments for consumers of processed mango fruit products which are divided into, Use Seekers, with a cluster size of 10%; Innovation Seekers, with a cluster size of 3%; Benefit Seekers, with a cluster size of 29%; Price Seekers, with a cluster size of 37%; Taste Seekers, with a cluster size of 13%; Comfort Seekers, with a cluster size of 8%. Keywords: Processed Mango Products, Market Segmentation, Market Analysis INTISARIAdanya segmentasi pasar dapat menghasilkan strategi pemasaran yang kuat. Selain itu dengan melakukan segmentasi juga dapat menemukan konsumen yang memiliki kemiripan karakteristik antara keinginan yang dimiliki dengan apa yang ditawarkan pelaku pengolahan yang nantinya akan berdampak pada meningkatnya minat beli masyarakat di masa yang akan datang Adanya berbagai macam produk olahan buah mangga yang sudah beredar di pasaran, sedangkan konsumen memiliki berbagai kriteria dalam membeli produk atau merek tertentu. Konsumen cenderung membeli produk yang sesuai dengan kebutu han, selera dan daya belinya. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk  menganalisa Pasar Konsumen Produk Olahan Buah Mangga, Data yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini bersumber dari data primer dan data sekunder, data primer pada penelitian ini didapat dari metode survey, desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif, serta objek pada penelitian ini adalah civitas akademika Fakultas Teknologi Indutri Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah Terdapat 6 segmentasi pasar konsumen produk olahan buah mangga yang terbagi menjadi, Pencari Kegunaan, dengan ukuran klaster 10%; Pencari Inovasi, dengan ukuran klaster 3%.;Pencari Manfaat, dengan ukuran klaster 29%.; Pencari Harga, dengan ukuran klaster 37%;Pencari Rasa, dengan ukuran klaster 13%; Pencari Kenyamanan, dengan ukuran klaster 8%. Kata Kunci : Produk Olahan Mangga, Segmentasi Pasar, Analisis Pasar
