Abstract

This study aims to explore reflective practices carried out by elementary school teachers in an effort to improve the quality of learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. The subjects of the study were grade III and IV teachers at SD Negeri 128 Haurpancuh who had routinely implemented reflective practices. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews and classroom observations. The results of the study showed that teachers reflected individually and collaboratively, both through teaching journals and discussions with colleagues. Reflective practices have an impact on improving learning planning, more adaptive classroom management, and increasing student engagement. Reflection also helps teachers understand students' learning needs and improve professional competence sustainably.

Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan operasi hitung pecahan. Peneliti menemukan salah satu alternatif pemecahan masalah melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning pada pembelajaran yang diasumsikan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) Perencanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning; 2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning; 3) Peningkatan hasil belajar model Problem Based Learning. Metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan MC Taggart sebanyak 3 siklus digunakan untuk mendapatkan data penelitian di SD yang berada di Kecamatan Coblong Kota Bandung. Aktivitas peserta didik meningkat disetiap siklusnya yaitu peserta didik lebih memahami tahap menyelesaikan operasi hitung pecahan dan lebih percaya diri dalam mengkomunikasikan hasil diskusi. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I mencapai nilai rata-rata kelas 80,21. Siklus II mencapai nilai rata-rata kelas 88,95. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Problem based learning pada materi operasi hitung pecahan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa .

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui implementasi model pembelajaran Project Based Learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi bangun ruang. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam proses berdaur/ siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VA SDN 031 Pelesiran yang terdiri dari 25 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Penggunaan model pembelajaran PjBL (Project Based Learning) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, hal ini ditunjukkan dalam nilai rata-rata pada siklus 1 adalah 74,6% dan pada siklus 2 adalah 80%. Maka dari data di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada peningkatan dari siklus satu ke siklus berikutnya, artinya pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model PjBL yang sudah dilakukan meningkat dalam kategori sangat tinggi.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of the school environment on the self-confidence of 4th-grade students at SDIT At-Taqwa. Using a qualitative case study approach, it explores social dynamics within elementary education. Data were collected through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with the principal, homeroom teachers, subject teachers, and students. Documentation reviewed included activity photographs, school records, and program archives. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Results indicate that the school’s social environment substantially enhances self-confidence, with 82% of students exhibiting improvement. Contributing factors include positive teacher feedback, practical homeroom guidance, strong peer relationships, and structured programs such as Ta’lim that foster public-speaking skills. Supportive physical spaces, interactive classrooms, and participatory curricula further contribute to this development. Students engaged in extracurricular activities and competitions show marked growth. The findings suggest that a supportive and well-structured school environment fosters self-confidence and offers practical guidance for collaborative character-building initiatives. Future research should explore the influence of the school environment on additional character traits, including leadership, responsibility, empathy, and communication skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman peserta didik fase C terhadap nilai-nilai Pancasila yang hanya bersifat hafalan dan belum terinternalisasi dalam perilaku sehari-hari. Model pembelajaran kooperatif two stay two stray dipandang efektif karena dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, kolaboratif, dan bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran awal pemahaman peserta didik, peningkatan pemahaman setelah penerapan model two stay two stray, serta pengaruh signifikan model tersebut terhadap pemahaman nilai-nilai Pancasila. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experiment tipe Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 40 peserta didik kelas V di salah satu sekolah dasar di Kota Bandung, yang terbagi ke dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes pilihan ganda dan uraian dengan indikator yang disesuaikan dengan capaian pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pemahaman awal peserta didik pada kedua kelas berada pada kategori rendah; (2) terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman nilai-nilai Pancasila di kelas eksperimen setelah diterapkannya model two stay two stray; dan (3) model pembelajaran two stay two stray memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan pemahaman peserta didik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Temuan ini memberikan saran bagi guru untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif two stay two stray dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila guna menumbuhkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam dan aplikatif.                                                                                                                       Kata Kunci: Model Two Stay Two Stray, Pemahaman, Nilai-Nilai Pancasila, Pendidikan Pancasila, Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap hambatan belajar yang dialami oleh peserta didik kelas dua Sekolah Dasar dalam materi perkalian bilangan cacah, mengembangkan desain didaktis yang dapat meminimalisir hambatan tersebut, serta mendeskripsikan implementasi desain dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan design research dengan model Didactical Design Research (DDR). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran perkalian di kelas 2 SD dan mengidentifikasi kendala yang dialami peserta didik, observasi dilakukan untuk melihat proses implementasi dari desain didaktis, studi dokumentasi dilakukan melalui analisis respons peserta didik terhadap soal perkalian dan angket skala sikap untuk mengetahui hambatan belajar yang dialami peserta didik, desain didaktis. Data dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman, yang mencakup tiga tahap: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik mengalami empat tipe hambatan belajar, diantaranya (1) Ketidakmampuan menentukan konsep perkalian sesuai dengan langkah hitung yang benar; (2) Ketidakmampuan membedakan arti perkalian dengan hasil perkalian dari bilangan yang sama; (3) Ketidakmampuan melengkapi hasil kali dengan menggunakan daftar perkalian dan tabel perkalian; dan (4) Ketidakmampuan memecahkan soal non-rutin mengenai perkalian melalui high order thinking skilss. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dikembangkan desain didaktis berupa modul ajar dan LKPD berbasis Game Based Learning (GBL). Implementasi desain menunjukkan peningkatan dalam keterlibatan peserta didik dan pemahaman terhadap konsep perkalian.

Abstract

Mathematics learning at the elementary school (SD) level still faces various challenges. One of the main challenges is the low interest and understanding of students toward mathematical concepts taught through conventional methods. Teaching approaches that tend to be mechanistic and memorization-based often make it difficult for students to deeply understand concepts and apply them in everyday life. To build meaningful understanding (deep learning), students need to be fully present cognitively, affectively, and metacognitively during the learning process. The concept of mindfulness can serve as an approach to encourage students to be more present and engaged in the learning process.The data in this study were collected from articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria described in the research methodology, and were filtered using Publish or Perish. Based on a literature review of 10 articles, it was found that the deep learning approach has a positive impact on students’ understanding, fostering critical, creative, and analytical thinking skills. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the development of more meaningful mathematics learning practices that focus on conceptual understanding for elementary school students.

Abstract

Mathematical concept understanding is the main foundation in learning mathematics, however, its application in elementary schools still faces challenges. This study aims to describe the construction process of mathematical concept understanding through the concrete-pictorial-abstract approach to find students' thinking patterns in constructing the meaning of the concepts learned. A qualitative approach with a descriptive design was used in this study. The subjects of this study were 25 third grade students of SDN Kayuringin Jaya VI Bekasi City. Data were collected through participatory observation and analyzed using Miles and Huberman interactive techniques. The results of this study show that the CPA approach helps students in building conceptual understanding gradually from concrete object manipulation, visual representation, to symbolic understanding. Students not only receive material, but are also actively involved in the exploration of concepts based on direct experience, strengthening their understanding and internalization of the material. Nevertheless, challenges such as the use of manipulative objects at the concrete stage is often considered by students as a mere game remains a major obstacle. In conclusion, learning with the CPA approach has great potential to improve the quality of mathematics learning in elementary schools, especially in building understanding of mathematical concepts gradually and meaningfully, the three stages of CPA help students understand mathematical concepts better.

Abstract

Speaking skills are a fundamental aspect of academic and social development in elementary school students, especially at the lower grade level. However, various internal and external obstacles—such as low self-confidence, limited Indonesian vocabulary, and the dominant use of local languages at home—hinder the optimal development of children's speaking abilities. This study aims to analyze the relationship between school-home collaboration and students’ speaking skills through a literature review. The method employed is library research with a descriptive qualitative approach, grounded in constructivist philosophy and Epstein’s theory of parental involvement. The findings reveal that speaking skills develop more effectively within an educational ecosystem that consistently supports verbal interaction both at school and at home. Harmonious educational relationships between teachers and parents—through activities such as shared reading, family discussions, and regular communication between home and school—significantly enhance children's ability to express ideas. Furthermore, culturally contextualized learning and inclusive communication strategies are key to overcoming challenges posed by the use of local mother tongues. Thus, building a synergistic school-home partnership grounded in local values is an effective strategy for fostering students’ speaking skills in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the digital mind mapping method on students' learning outcomes in Grade IV Phase B on the topic of rules and norms in elementary school. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method, and the sample was selected using purposive sampling consisting of 19 students. The research instruments used were pre-tests and post-tests, and the data were analyzed using linear regression analysis, paired t-test, and the N-Gain score difference test. The results of the study showed a linear regression result of 67%, a paired t-test value of p = 0.001, and an N-Gain score difference of 0.74. These findings indicate that the mind mapping method is effective significantly improving students' learning outcomes in the topic of rules and norms in Grade IV Phase B of elementary school.
