Food waste can be a threat to human life, both in terms of health and the environment. Food waste needs to be separated from other waste and can be processed into compost. This article aims to explain how to process food waste into compost and also use it for plant cultivation that can even be done at home. The method used in this service activity is socialization. The results of this activity show that students as participants in this activity are able to understand the urgency and how to process food waste into compost, and plant cultivation with compost which is shown by the making of several documentary videos of this activity.

This research is aimed at describing civic literacy rasing among university students involved in student organizations. The research objective is to reveal their views on democratic practices in Indonesia, particularly through the moment of the 2019 elections. The research is conducted by a qualitative method, specifically by phenomenological approaches such as interviews, observation, and collecting documents. The result of the study shows that a positive outlook has been perceived by the students with regard to the 2019 election as a scheme of political leadership recruitment in Indonesia. The result also shows that according to the student perceptions, the challenge of the practice of democracy in Indonesia through the election voting has been contested by the impact of digital culture. Within this context, the respondents’ knowledge about civic literacy and their political participation have been also affected by the upscaling digital practices, therefore it has been a future challenge for Indonesian democracy in next the future.

Indonesia and Russia's bilateral relations still need to be improved and strengthened in all sectors. Both countries agreed in Jakarta in 2021 to enhance and strengthen bilateral cooperation in politics, law, and security. The commitment to further cooperation made by the two major countries in the Asia Pacific aimed at creating peace and maintaining regional and global security stability. This study aims to elaborate how Indonesia's bilateral relations with Russia enhanced are related to the efforts of both generating digital economic cooperation and attracting foreign investment in Indonesia's leading tourist destinations. This study utilizes the concept of dynamic bilateral relations and the implementation of foreign economic policies. The researchers use qualitative research methods with explanatory writing techniques analyzing the data and information obtained. The liberal approach to mutually beneficial international cooperation is further elaborated and analyzed, particularly in understanding how each country's strategic decisions have an impact on sustaining regional economic growth. The digital economy cooperation built by the two countries still needs to be strengthened to attract more incoming Russian investors in the tourism industry. This research reveals that international cooperation has been carried out by the Indonesian government and stakeholders related to tourism management destinations is done through bilateral cooperation, regional cooperation, and multilateral cooperation. It still needs clear strategies that should be implemented tactically as a strategic effort by the Indonesian government and related stakeholders to sharpen the construction of the national digital economy in the sustainable, inclusive, and quality tourism sector in driving and supporting national economic growth.

Pada arena kontestasi politik, kepemilikan modal sosial menjadi hal yang utama, karena pilkada bukan merupakan ajang persaingan antar parpol melainkan kandidat yang menjadi actor kunci. Pemanfaatan modal sangat umum digunakan dalam suatu pemilihan, karena modal memberikan kekuatan untuk seorang kandidat memenangkan pertarungan politik. Latar belakang sosial seperti Pendidikan, pengalaman pekerjaan, sosok ketokohan, dan popularitas menjadi modal sosial yang dimiliki. Selain itu habitus yang menggambarkan kultur, harkat, karakter, serta keinginan dari suatu golongan tertentu yang dijadikan panutan dari kelompok kecil dapat dikembangkan dengan keahlian dan menjadi asas jatidiri seseorang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan sumber data hasil wawancara virtual, bahan pustaka, media cetak dan elektronik serta sumber data lainnya yang berhubungan dengan penelitian dan dilakukan melalui triangulasi sumber yang menghasilkan penelitian bahwa pasangan Idris-Imam memanfaatkan modal sosial guna memenangkan pemilihan Walikota Depok Tahun 2020 dengan memanfaatkan ketokohan, jaringan, organisasi sosial, serta identitas yang melekat pada habitus actor.

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memiliki tujuan untuk menyebarluaskan pemahaman mengenai kedaulatan pangan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat agar melakukan langkah-langkah konkrit dalam mencapai kedaulatan pangan itu. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan cara melakukan sosialiasi konsep kedaulatan pangan dan pemanfaatan sampah organik untuk dijadikan media tanam sayuran yang bisa dilakukan secara mandiri oleh masyarakat. Metode kegiatan ini adalah metode community-based approach, dimana masyarakat diajak berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini ada tiga poin, yaitu meningkatnya pemahaman masyarakat mengenai kedaulatan pangan dan peran mereka dalam upaya mencapai kedaulatan pangan; pemahaman bahwa sampah sesungguhnya memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi; dan pemahaman mengenai urban farming.

This study aims to describe, and analyze the coalition strategies of local political parties and national political parties in the framework of winning regional heads in a region that has built a political dynasty for a dozen years, especially in Nagan Raya District, Aceh Province. The theory used is the political strategy theory used by Schroder (2010) which assesses political strategy is a framework of steps or plans used in order to realize political ideals. The political strategy is divided into two: political offensive strategy and defensive political strategy. This study uses a qualitative method. The data source consists of primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from the results of in-depth interviews with a number of informants, while secondary data were obtained from literature review and related documents. The research instrument is the researcher himself. Research informants consisted of coalition leaders, bearers of political parties, couples who won in Nagan Raya regional elections, Jamin Idham and Chalidin. The results showed that the strategy adopted by the candidate pair Jamin Idhan and Chalidin (JADIN) to fight incumbents, namely Teuku Raja Keumangan and Said Junaidi (TRK ONLY) was an offensive strategy.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 2 is "zero hunger," among the targets mentioned in the SDGs document are stunting prevention and sustainable agriculture. One of the causes of stunting is the lack of nutrition, especially foods that contain iron and zinc, which come from green vegetables. The community service carried out by the Team of the International Relations Study Program at Padjadjaran University integrates these targets by encouraging the village residents to process organic waste as fertilizer and grow vegetables organically. The community service carried out in the RW 22 Cileunyi Kulon Village in the form of assistance and consultation for the village residents so that they are consistent in processing organic waste and growing vegetables that are sources of iron and zinc. In this activity, the team conducted interviews and dialogue with the village residents (who had previously received education on processing organic waste and tools for organic farming) to evaluate their activities so far. Thus, the method used is PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal), in which the team acts as a facilitator, and residents carry out the activities independently. The findings from this assistance are that consistent residents have strong motivation regarding the benefits of processing organic waste and growing organic vegetables.
