Abstract

This study aims to improve the scientific creativity of sixth-grade students at Marihat Huluan Elementary School 091283 on the water cycle through the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. This study used a pre-experimental method with a sample of 19 students. The research instrument was a scientific creativity test covering aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The results showed that the implementation of the PjBL model significantly improved students' scientific creativity. The average student score increased from 63.00, categorized as "Quite Creative" in the pre-test, to 80.31, categorized as "Creative" in the post-test. Furthermore, at the final stage of the study, no more students were found in the "Less Creative" category, and 31.5% of students achieved the "Very Creative" category. This increase in scientific creativity was influenced by project activities that encouraged students to actively explore, collaborate, think creatively, and solve problems independently. Thus, the Project-Based Learning model has proven effective in improving elementary school students' scientific creativity on the water cycle.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of role-playing learning model based on folklore on speaking skills of third grade students of SDN 122358 Pematangsiantar. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a Nonequivalent Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of 23 students in the experimental class and 20 students in the control class. Data collection techniques used performance tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests using Independent Samples T-Test. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class was 88.70, higher than the average posttest score of the control class of 43.25. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the Sig. (2-tailed) value was obtained at 0.000 <0.05 and the calculated t value > t table, which was 23.613 > 2.020, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the folklore-based role-playing learning model on the speaking skills of third-grade students at SDN 122358 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membawa perubahan besar dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya dalam pengembangan media edukasi berbasis Merdeka Belajar. Namun, masih terdapat guru yang belum memahami dan terampil dalam membuat media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang inovatif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan workshop dan sosialisasi pembuatan media edukasi Merdeka Belajar kepada guru-guru di SD Negeri 091524 PNP Tonduhan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi pemaparan materi, pelatihan praktik pembuatan media edukasi, serta pendampingan penggunaan media dalam proses pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini menekankan pentingnya inovasi media pembelajaran yang dinamis, adaptif, dan berpusat pada peserta didik dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru memperoleh peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam membuat serta menggunakan media edukasi Merdeka Belajar untuk mendukung pembelajaran tatap muka maupun virtual. Selain itu, guru menjadi lebih termotivasi untuk menciptakan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan sesuai dengan nilai-nilai budaya setempat sehingga dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru sekolah dasar dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan di era digital.

Abstract

Visionary leadership has a strategic role in the development of library services, especially in facing the challenges of digital transformation and the increasing need for user information literacy. This study aims to analyze a visionary leadership model in the development of digital literacy-based library user education programs at the Efarina University Library. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews with library leaders and librarians, as well as analysis of library program and policy documents. The results of the study show that the application of visionary leadership contributes significantly to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of digital literacy-based user education programs. Library leaders play the role of agents of change through the formulation of adaptive visions, strengthening the competence of librarians, utilizing information technology, and collaborating with the academic community. The user education program developed not only improves users' ability to access and evaluate digital information sources, but also encourages optimal use of library services. This study concludes that the visionary leadership model is a key factor in the successful development of digital literacy-based user education programs in the university library environment.

Abstract

The way teachers and students perceive diagnostic assessment plays a decisive role in how effectively it is implemented in real classrooms. This study was designed to quantitatively capture how Grade III teachers and students at UPTD SD Negeri 122384 Pematangsiantar make sense of the diagnostic assessment practices they experience in Indonesian Language learning, while also examining whether their perspectives align.A quantitative descriptive survey design was employed. Respondents consisted of 2 Grade III Indonesian Language teachers (total sampling) and 20 Grade III students (purposive sampling). Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires tested for validity (r >= 0.444) and reliability (Cronbach alpha: teachers = 0.921; students = 0.941). Analysis relied on descriptive statistics based on Ideal Mean (Mi) and Ideal Standard Deviation (SDi).The results are encouraging: teachers' perceptions fall in the very positive category with a converted score of 80.47/100, while students' perceptions stand at 81.50/100. Of the 20 students, 60% are in the very positive category and the remaining 40% in the positive category. The gap between both groups is only 1.03 points on a 0-to-100 scale, reflecting genuine alignment. One notable finding: the teachers' conative dimension (consistency in assessment follow-up) scores lower than the other two dimensions, signaling the need to strengthen implementation. These findings support the provision of standardized assessment instrument templates and peer coaching programs at the elementary school level

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bertujuan bahwa : Ada pengaruh penggunaan model Discovery Learning terhadap hasil pembelajaran IPAS dikelas V UPTD SD Negeri 125549. , hal tersebut dibuktikan dari uji normalitas data diperoleh dari hasil belajar IPAS hasil nilai pretest 0,0398 > 0.05 sehingga data tersebut berdistribusi normal sedangkan untuk nilai postest nilai signifikansi 0,010 >0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa data tersebut berdistribusi normal. Lalu dilakukan uji hipotesis berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis didapat maka signifikansi dari nilai ttabel adalah 1,724. Sementara untuk nilai thitung sebesar 13.297 jika dibandingkan thitung = 13.297 > ttabel = 1,724 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa HO di tolak dan Ha diterima yang artinya terdapat pengaruh model Discovery Learning terhadap hasil pembelajaran IPAS dikelas V UPTD SD Negeri 125549. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran setelah penggunakan model Discovery Learning pada pembelajaran IPAS

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran Visual–Auditory–Kinesthetic (VAK) dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran Powtoon terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest–posttest control group design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar dengan melibatkan dua kelas XI sebagai sampel penelitian, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang terdiri dari 32 siswa dan kelas kontrol yang terdiri dari 30 siswa. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan berupa pembelajaran menggunakan metode VAK dengan media Powtoon, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes menulis teks eksplanasi yang diberikan sebelum perlakuan (pretest) dan setelah perlakuan (posttest). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 66,25 meningkat menjadi 82,80 pada posttest dengan gain score sebesar 16,55. Sementara itu, kelas kontrol mengalami peningkatan dari 65,90 menjadi 72,40 dengan gain score sebesar 6,50. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode pembelajaran VAK dengan media Powtoon memberikan pengaruh yang lebih signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, penggunaan metode pembelajaran inovatif yang dipadukan dengan media digital dapat meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, dan keterampilan menulis siswa.

Abstract

Urgensi dan Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah media gambar berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar PKn siswa. Urgensi penelitian dilihat dari keberhasilan proses pembelajaran akan berdampak pada hasil belajar peserta didik. Dalam proses pembelajaran,minat belajar siswa merupakan suatu keterkaitan terhadap suatu pelajaran yang dapat mendorong peserta didik untuk mempelajari dan menekuni pelajaran tersebut dan hasil belajar siswa merupakan bagian yang paling penting,dimana hasil belajar menjadi tolak ukur sejauh mana tingkat pemahaman siswa dalam menguasai materi, berdasarkan hasil pengamatan yang didapat di SD Negeri 122337 Pematangsiantar ada kalanya pada proses pembelajaran PKn siswa masih terlihat kurang aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar dan hasil belajarnya kurang memuaskan, siswa bosan karena media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru kurang menarik atau kurang efektif sehingga pembelajaran berpusat pada guru. Sehingga permasalahan diatas peneliti rasakan diperlukan media pembelajaran yang dapat melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar. Untuk mencapai hasil belajar yang diharapkan guru harus pintar memilih media dalam pembelajaran. Salah satu media pembalajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam mengatasi masalah yang timbul selama proses pembelajaran adalah dengan media gambar. Dengan media gambar, siswa diharapkan mampu mengikuti pelajaran dengan fokus dan menyenangkan. Sehingga pelajaran apapun yang disampaikan oleh guru kepada siswa dapat diingat dan terima dengan baik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of diorama learning media on student learning outcomes in Civics Lessons for Fourth Graders at the UPTD of Public Elementary School 125549 Pematangsiantar. This study used a quantitative research method with a "Pre-Experimental Design" in the form of a One Group Pre-test Posttest. This study was conducted at the UPTD of Public Elementary School 125549 Pematangsiantar on fourth grade students with a population of 23 and a sample of 25. The data collection technique for this study used two tests, namely a pretest and a posttest. The data were processed using statistical analysis techniques. Hypothesis testing showed a significant effect in this study from the data that had been tested. The data analysis obtained the average pretest results (54.60) and posttest (83.20). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is an Effect of Diorama Learning Media on Student Learning Outcomes in Civics Learning for Class IV of UPTD SD Negeri 125549. This is also proven by the results of the data analysis test obtained a significance level of 0.000 <probability (0.05) and t count -9.737 t table 1.711. Therefore, it is concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means "The Effect of Diorama Learning Media on Student Learning Outcomes in Civics Learning for Class IV of UPTD SD Negeri 125549 Pematangsiantar"

Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve listening comprehension among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 124385 Pematangsiantar through the integration of BBC Learning English audio and the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach. The problem addressed was the limited use of authentic listening activities in classrooms. The program involved 19 students and was carried out in three phases: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. During the implementation, students participated in contextual listening tasks, vocabulary repetition, group analysis, and interactive question sessions. Rather than using formal tests, the evaluation focused on student engagement and response accuracy through observation. Results showed that 78.95% of students achieved strong listening performance. The findings suggest that integrating Communicative Language Teaching with accessible audio materials supports effective and affordable listening skill development in elementary classrooms.
