Abstract

Abstract. This article is a concise attempt to understand communication theory by exploring its historical origins, conceptual foundations, development trajectory, and challenges of the contemporary era. This article's introduction provides an overview of communication and highlights the role of communication theory in understanding the complexity of human interaction. This research uses a comprehensive literature review to trace the history of the development of communication theory and identify key concepts in the field of communication. In the discussion section, this article explores important theoretical concepts in communication theory, from initial linear models to more complex interactive and transactional models. This research also explains the interdisciplinary nature of communication theory, highlighting how communication theory integrates various fields of study. In modern times, this article describes critical traditions, cultural communication, digital media, the emergence of new media platforms and theoretical gaps that need more attention. The conclusion of this article aims to collect the results, highlight the relevance of communication theory, and suggest directions for improvement and innovation. This article will contribute to a deeper understanding of the historical context of communication theory, new conceptual perspectives, developmental dynamics, and challenges faced today in a changing media landscape. Abstrak. Artikel ini merupakan  upaya ringkas untuk memahami teori komunikasi dengan mengeksplorasi asal-usul sejarah, landasan konseptual, lintasan perkembangan, dan tantangan  era kontemporer. Pengantar artikel ini memberikan gambaran umum tentang komunikasi dan menyoroti peran teori komunikasi dalam memahami kompleksitas interaksi manusia. Penelitian ini menggunakan  tinjauan literatur yang komprehensif untuk menelusuri sejarah perkembangan  teori komunikasi dan mengidentifikasi konsep-konsep kunci dalam bidang komunikasi. Pada bagian pembahasan, artikel ini mengeksplorasi konsep-konsep teoretis penting dalam teori komunikasi, mulai dari model linier awal hingga model interaktif dan transaksional yang lebih kompleks. Penelitian ini juga menjelaskan sifat interdisipliner teori komunikasi, menyoroti bagaimana teori komunikasi mengintegrasikan berbagai bidang studi. Di zaman modern, artikel ini memaparkan tradisi kritis, komunikasi budaya, media digital, munculnya platform media baru dan kesenjangan teoritis yang perlu mendapat perhatian lebih. Kesimpulan artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan hasil, menyoroti relevansi teori komunikasi, dan menyarankan arah perbaikan dan inovasi. Artikel ini akan berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang konteks historis teori komunikasi, perspektif konseptual baru, dinamika perkembangan, dan tantangan yang dihadapi saat ini dalam lanskap media yang terus berubah.

Abstract

Big data plays an increasingly important role in education, offering great potential to improve educational decision making. Big Data collects, stores, and analyzes large amounts of and diverse data at very high speeds. In the educational context, big data collects data from various sources, including school management systems, student academic records, student satisfaction surveys, and online data. Analysis of this data can provide valuable information to decision makers in the education sector to identify relevant trends, patterns and opportunities. This research discusses the great benefits that can be gained from using Big Data in an educational context to support better decision making. Through research on the educational benefits of big data in supporting better decision making, it is hoped that this will provide an excellent opportunity to improve decision making in education. Through careful data analysis, education can become more effective, efficient and relevant to better meet the needs of students and society. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. Researchers conducted a survey using a Google form consisting of 15 statements related to the title of the research. Researchers found that using big data in education provides great opportunities to improve better educational decision making. And supported by careful selection as material for consideration. The limitation of this research is that the researcher only conducted research in schools and the researcher did not conduct research directly in schools but shared a survey link on a Google form containing a statement about the benefits of big data in supporting better educational decision making.

Abstract

Basically, the State of Indonesia is an agrarian country, where the land can be planted with any crops, therefore the author takes the title "Practice of Agricultural Land Production Sharing Agreements Between Owner Farmers and Cultivators in Gondosuli Village, Pakuniran District, Probolinggo Regency" which is directly related to the agreement. profit sharing from agricultural land in Gebangan Village. In writing this thesis, the author raised three problems, namely: (1). What are the Procedures, Forms and Amounts of the Profit Sharing Coefficient of Agricultural Land in Gebangan Village. (2). How are the Efforts to Improve the Fate of the Farmers in relation to the Procedures, Forms and Coefficients for Sharing Agricultural Land Yields in Gebangan Village. (3). Who usually mediates when there is a problem between the Owner Farmer and the Cultivator in Gebangan Village.The purpose of this writing is Special Purpose.Specifically, the goal to be achieved is to know the practice of sharing agricultural land in Gebangan Village, Krejengan District, Probolinggo Regency, including wanting to know the Procedures, Forms and Profit Sharing Coefficients between Owner Farmers and Cultivators, so that in the future it will be known as well. the shortcomings that exist in the implementation of the agreement, so that in the end it will be possible to take steps to improve the future of the Farmers, especially Cultivators. Where the sharecroppers are always oppressed by landowners who have a lot of capital. General PurposeIt is to develop the level of institutional scientific knowledge, in this case Educational Institutions on Campus, including policy makers in the field of Agriculture, especially those relating to efforts to advance the future of Small Farmers in Indonesia, so that with this knowledge they can be used as a guide for updating provisions. there is, with the hope that the lives of the Farmers who are actually very useful for the Indonesian Nation are better and more advanced, so that our nation can be known again as an Agrarian Country.The method of this research is using the Juridical Empirical research method in which the legal sources used are from several valid references and through direct research in the field, where the resource persons have been directly involved in the practice of this profit-sharing agreement. The results of this study are the authors can provide a little knowledge to the people who live in Gebangan Village how the procedure for the correct agricultural land production sharing agreement for owners and cultivators, which is based on Law No. 2 of 1960, the correct agreement must be in writing, there is a witness or make an agreement in front of the local village head so that the legal basis is strong, if there is fraud from one of the parties who made the agreement then it can be brought to justice because they already have strong evidence to be brought to justice, but now there are still many farmers making agreements with just words without making a written agreement so that if there is a problem you can't do anything. Therefore, the government made a law for agricultural land production sharing agreements that occurred between the owner and the cultivator, so that the land owner could not arbitrarily treat the tenant farmers, after being given an understanding of the agreement regulated by Law Number 2 of 1960, in Gebangan Village. have already entered into a written agreement.. Abstract

Abstract The impact of increasing technological progress and the internet seems to have contributed to the Indonesian financial system. One example is seen with the development of financial technology in the community. Fintech or financial technology is the name of an innovation in the field of financial services that iscombined with technology. Fintech is currently gaining popularity with the PayLater feature, aka pay later. The PayLater feature is very popular quickly due to the advancement of payment system technology in giant e-commerce such as Tokopedia, Shopee, Traveloka, Bukalapak, Kredivo, etc. This research is normative legal research. The researcher uses a data collection tool in the form of a literature study by examining OJK Regulation Number 77/POJK.01/2016. The main legal basis used in lending and borrowing activities in fintech activities is POJK 77 of 2016. In the Shopee PayLater service, the standard agreement scheme is used. So, for PayLater users, in activating the payment system, they should understand in advance about the terms and conditions, namely the contents of the agreement set by the e-commerce party and the organizer. from one of the parties on the Shopee PayLater service in the form of an administrative warning. PayLater users are expected to pay bills in accordance with the agreed time in order to avoid these sanctions. Keywords: Credit, PayLater, Buy and Sell Online.

Abstract

Abstract Protection for witnesses and victims is a form of government in protecting or providing security for witnesses and victims before and after giving testimony in a criminal case that they have seen and experienced themselves. Meanwhile, fornication is any type of act that violates decency and decency or can also be a vile act that falls within the realm of lust, such as touching the genitals, kissing, touching the breasts and so on. Researchers are required to understand the principles in the applicable laws and regulations that have been established in addition to using a conceptual approach so that in this writing they can be found in the laws. The results of this research show that: (a) Legal protection is an illustration of the working of the legal function to realize legal goals, namely justice. Benefits and legal certainty. Legal protection is protection given to legal subjects in accordance with legal regulations, both in the form of preventive (prevention) and in the form of recessive (coercion), both written and unwritten in the context of enforcing legal regulations. (b) The form of legal protection for witnesses and victims is the view of citizens or society that in a government regulation there must be protection for every person who provides information for the purpose of investigation. Based on the above, this research recommends: The government and the authorities in providing protection services to witnesses and victims, especially victims of sexual abuse, need to consider stricter and more effective protection services provided to witnesses and victims of sexual abuse. Abstract

The popularity of the local Javanese music “Dangdut Campursari” increased dramatically from 2019 to 2020. Didi Kempot, who is nicknamed the God Father of Broken Heart, is a new phenomenon in Javanese music in the country. This research wants to see how the modern Campursari dangdut lovers “Sobat Ambyar” describe the identity of their community and see this phenomenon from the perspective of popular culture which includes trends, adaptability, and pop music consumerism. We documented Sobat Ambyar’s chat on social media, they managed and conducted in-depth interviews with the Instagram fanbase admin @sobatambyar. The results of this study indicated that Sobat Ambyar identifies themselves with the feelings, attitudes, and emotions of the songs sung by Didi Kempot. These identities tend to be sad and they are proud of that sadness. This Campursari has become a new commodity for industry and is popularized through the ways of modern culture which is simulated and marketed. Based on these findings, this study suggests that Sobat Ambyar remain authentic so that they can block mass culture that the younger generation is not aware of.Keyword : Fans, Instagram, Modern Campursari Music, Sobat Ambyar.

Abstract

Abstract Election is a means of people's sovereignty to elect members of the DPR, DPD, DPRD, President and vice President. Law Number 7 of 2017 regulates various aspects of the implementation of elections in Indonesia, including the neutrality of village heads in carrying out their duties and responsibilities during the Election process. The village head has an important role as an election organizer at the village or village level. This research aims to ensure that the head of Tanjung village can carry out his role neutrally and free from interventions and intimidation that affect the course of the 2024 election. This research is an empirical research, the location of the research was carried out in Tanjung Pajarakan village with the method of Interview, Observation, Document Analysis, Literature Study and Technical Data Analysis The results of the research show that the head of Tanjung village has a strategic role in overseeing the 2024 election process at the village level but the head of Tanjung village is also faced with various challenges, such as pressure and intervention from parties who want to influence the election process at the village level Keywords:Neutrality, Village chief, General election

Abstract

Yang Hilang dalam Cinta is an Indonesian web series that addresses the issue of toxic relationships. The series describes how bad the effects of a toxic relationship can be for someone, such as what Dara's character experienced, namely physical and verbal violence from her partner. However, many people are still unaware that they are in a toxic relationship. This study aims to find out how the issue of toxic relationships is represented in the web series Yang Hilang dalam Cinta. The research method used is a qualitative research method using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis technique which uses the terms denotation, connotation and myth. The results of this study indicate that there is a toxic relationship that makes someone feel physically and mentally unsafe for the person in it. Signs of a toxic relationship include physical violence, uncontrolled emotions, dishonesty, possessiveness and excessive jealousy.

Abstract

Kolaborasi antara universitas dan masyarakat di Indonesia merupakan elemen penting dalam pengabdian masyarakat, sesuai dengan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. Namun, kolaborasi ini sering menghadapi tantangan, seperti kesenjangan antara kebutuhan masyarakat dan orientasi akademis universitas, serta komunikasi yang kurang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan dan peluang dalam meningkatkan efektivitas kolaborasi ini. Menggunakan metode tinjauan literatur, penelitian ini menyintesis berbagai studi terkait untuk mengevaluasi pendekatan yang efektif. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa strategi partisipatif dan pemanfaatan teknologi digital sangat penting untuk meningkatkan relevansi dan keberlanjutan program pengabdian masyarakat. Partisipasi aktif dari komunitas dan penggunaan teknologi dapat memperbaiki komunikasi, menyelaraskan tujuan, serta memastikan program-program lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya komunikasi terbuka dan partisipasi aktif dalam setiap tahap kolaborasi. Rekomendasinya adalah universitas dan masyarakat harus terus mengembangkan strategi inovatif yang fokus pada keterlibatan aktif dan teknologi. Dengan pendekatan ini, program pengabdian masyarakat diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif yang lebih besar dan berkelanjutan, berkontribusi signifikan terhadap pembangunan sosial di Indonesia. Collaboration between universities and communities in Indonesia is an important element in community service, in accordance with the Tridharma of Higher Education. However, these collaborations often face challenges, such as gaps between community needs and university academic orientation, as well as ineffective communication. This research aims to identify challenges and opportunities in improving the effectiveness of this collaboration. Using the literature review method, this research synthesizes various related studies to evaluate effective approaches. The results show that participatory strategies and the use of digital technology are essential to improve the relevance and sustainability of community service programs. Active participation from the community and the use of technology can improve communication, align goals, and ensure programs are more in line with community needs. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of open communication and active participation in every stage of collaboration. The recommendation is that universities and communities should continue to develop innovative strategies that focus on active engagement and technology. With this approach, community service programs are expected to have a greater and sustainable positive impact, contributing significantly to social development in Indonesia.

Abstract

Gemah Beach, a prominent tourism icon in Tulungagung, has gained popularity on social media and substantially contributes to both local and governmental revenue. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019 led to a significant decline in visitor numbers, necessitating strategic development efforts to revive interest in the post-pandemic era. This study aims to analyze the policies and factors influencing visitor interest, as well as the role of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) in managing the beach. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, with the researcher serving as the primary instrument. The data was processed qualitatively using purposive sampling, and validity was ensured through interactive analysis techniques and triangulation. The findings reveal that Pokdarwis successfully increased visitor numbers post-pandemic by improving human resources, enhancing infrastructure, and promoting the beauty of Gemah Beach through trending social media campaigns.Pantai Gemah, ikon pariwisata di Tulungagung, populer di media sosial dan signifikan bagi pendapatan masyarakat dan pemerintah. Wisata ini mengalami penurunan pengunjung akibat pandemi 2019. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengembangan untuk menarik kembali minat pengunjung pasca pandemi. Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) di Pantai Gemah telah berusaha mengembangkan kelembagaan dan pengaturan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kebijakan dan faktor yang mempengaruhi minat pengunjung serta peran Pokdarwis dalam pengelolaan pantai. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dengan peneliti sebagai instrumen utama dan diolah secara kualitatif menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik analisis interaktif dan triangulasi digunakan untuk memastikan keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pokdarwis mampu meningkatkan kembali pengunjung pasca pandemi melalui peningkatan SDM, perbaikan dan penambahan sarana prasarana, serta penyebaran informasi tentang keindahan Pantai Gemah melalui media sosial.
