Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused various impacts in the learning process, one of which is learning loss. Learning loss will directly and indirectly affect higher order thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the difference in HOTS between students who take Online Project-based Learning integrated quizizz as a formative assessment and HOTS students who take regular online learning. This study involved a population of 129 people and a sample of 39 people who were determined by random sampling technique. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research, with a non-equivalent control group design. The instrument used to collect data is the HOTS test in the form of a description. The data obtained were analyzed using one-way ANOVA, which had previously been tested for prerequisites. All data analysis using the help of IBM's SPSS for Windows 16.0. The results of data analysis show that there are differences in HOTS between students who take Online Project-based Learning integrated quizizz as a formative assessment and HOTS of students who take regular online learning. For this reason, teachers are expected to apply Quizizz's integrated Online Project-based Learning as a formative assessment in learning to obtain maximum higher-order thinking skills.

Abstract

Bakas Village is located in Klungkung Regency, Bali, Indonesia, and is known as a tourist village. Bakas Village offers visitors an authentic cultural and natural experience. Even though it may not be as big as culinary tourism destinations in larger areas, Bakas Village can provide a unique Balinese gastronomic tourism experience. Gastronomic tourism is a fun way to travel, while experiencing cultural diversity through food. Gastronomic tourism has a unique appeal because it allows tourists to explore new flavors and tastes. The development of gastronomic tourism in Bakas Village, Klungkung Regency, has local culinary potential as the main tourism attraction. This research aims to identify internal and external factors that influence the development of gastronomic tourism in Bakas Village, Klungkung Regency using a qualitative descriptive method through SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats). The results of this research found that by creating authentic culinary experiences through collaboration with industry players, involving local communities, utilizing digital technology, and partnerships with local educational institutions, Bakas Village can increase the visibility and attractiveness of gastronomic tourism.

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences simultaneously in motivation and mathematics learning outcomes between students taking project based learningmodel charged ethnomathematics and students who followed the conventional learning modelon the class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Abiansemalyear 2016/2017. It was a quasi experiment with a sample of 71 student obtain by using simple random sampling. The data were analyzed by one-way multivariate analysis (Manova).The results of this study indicate that there are differences in simultaneously in learning motivation and learning outcomes between students taking mathematics model project based learning charged ethnomathematics and students who followed the conventional learning model on the class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Abiansemal year 2016/2017. Besed on the research findings, junior high school teachers are suggested to improve their student learning outcome for mathematics. Teachers also need to use a learning models accurately and correctly.

Abstract

Currently, there are many schools that apply poor learning activities using conventional approaches during the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, it is suspected that there has been a learning loss. Therefore, a learning approach is needed that can improve student learning activities which lead to an increase in students' higher order thinking skills (HOTS). Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze the application of online PBL in its effect on student`s thinking abilities. This research was conducted at State Junior High Schools which involving a sample of 78 students who were taken using a simple random sampling technique. The students' higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) were collected by using the test which has examined its validity and reliability coefficients. The collected data were analyzed using the t-test which has initially examined the normality of the data distribution and the homogeneity of the variants. The results of this study indicated that there was an effect of implementing a problem-based learning (PBL) approach on the students' higher-order thinking skills (HOTS).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ulasan online pada Tripadvisor dan harga terhadap keputusan pembelian kamar di Hotel COMO Uma Canggu. Lokasi penelitian ini di Hotel COMO Uma Canggu. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pengolahan data primer melalui kuesioner yang diberikan kepada masyarakat Indonesia yang belum pernah menginap di Hotel COMO Uma Canggu dan berusia 21 – 50 tahun atau lebih. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jumlah masyarakat Indonesia yang mengunjungi situs website Tripadvisor pada Bulan Januari – Maret 2023 yaitu sebanyak 4,062,660 orang. Teknik sampel yang digunakan yaitu teknik sampling purposive sampling, pemilihannya dilakukan berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Terdapat tiga kriteria yaitu, Responden yang pernah mengakses Tripadvisor pada Bulan Januari–Maret 2023 untuk melihat ulasan dan harga Hotel COMO Uma Canggu di Tripadvisor, masyarakat yang belum pernah menginap di Hotel COMO Uma Canggu, responden berumur 21–50 Tahun atau lebih. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Uji Asumsi Klasik, Analisis Regresi Linier Berganda, Uji Koefisien Determinasi, Uji F dan Uji t dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 25. Dari hasil penelitian dapat dilihat bahwa: (1) Ulasan online berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian, dimana diperoleh nilai t-hitung 5,379 dan signifikansi 0,009. (2) Pelatihan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, dimana diperoleh nilai t-hitung 2,590 dan signifikansi 0,012. This study aims to determine the effect of online reviews on Tripadvisor and price on the decision to purchase a room at Hotel COMO Uma Canggu. The location of this research is at the COMO Uma Hotel Canggu. This research method uses a quantitative approach with primary data processing through questionnaires given to Indonesian people who have never stayed at the COMO Uma Canggu Hotel and are aged 21–50 years or more. The population used in this study is the number of Indonesians who visited the Tripadvisor website in January – March 2023, namely 4,062,660 people. The sample technique used is purposive sampling technique, the selection is made based on certain criteria. There are three criteria, namely respondents who have accessed Tripadvisor in January–March 2023 to see reviews and prices for Hotel COMO Uma Canggu on Tripadvisor, people who have never stayed at Hotel COMO Uma Canggu, respondents aged 21–50 years or older. The data analysis technique used in this study is the Classical Assumption Test, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, Determination Coefficient Test, F Test and t Test with the help of the SPSS version 25 program. From the results of the study it can be seen that: (1) Online reviews have a significant positive effect on purchase decision, which obtained a t-count value of 5.379 and a significance of 0.009. (2) Training has a significant positive effect on employee performance, where the t-count value is 2.590 and a significance is 0.012.

Abstract

Hotel W Bali Seminyak merupakan salah satu hotel bintang lima di Bali yang berdiri pada tahun 2011. Pemasukan yang diperoleh hotel tersebut juga sangat besar, sehingga mampu menggaji karyawannya bahkan melebihi standar Upah Minimum Kabupaten (UMK) yang diterapkan pemerintah kota Badung. Khususnya pada service di Hotel W Bali Seminyak, melebihi gaji yang diterima oleh karyawannya. Kenyataan yang terjadi adalah banyak karyawan yang mengundurkan diri atau resign maupun pindah hotel. Rata – rata alasan yang diberikan karyawan kepada pihak HRD yaitu karena beban kerja yang terlalu tinggi sehingga membuat karyawan untuk memilih pindah dari hotel W Bali Seminyak dan memilih untuk membuka bisnis sendiri ataupun pindah ke hotel lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh beban kerja dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada Hotel W Bali Seminyak. Untuk menemukan jawaban atas tujuan penelitian ini, maka digunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif asosiatif korelatif dengan alat analisis SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa beban kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan pada Hotel W Bali Seminyak, lingkungan kerja memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap kinerja karyawan pada Hotel W Bali Seminyak. Demikian juga Beban kerja dan lingkungan kerja secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan pada Hotel W Bali Seminyak. Berdasarkan temuan dalam penelitian ini, diharapkan Hotel W Bali Seminyak lebih memperhatikan peralatan yang digunakan pada karyawan agar beban kerja dan lingkungan kerja menjadi lebih baik sehingga dapat meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Hotel W Bali Seminyak is a five-star hotel in Bali which was founded in 2011. The income earned by the hotel is also very large, so that it is able to pay its employees even more than the District Minimum Wage (UMK) standard applied by the Badung city government. Especially the service at Hotel W Bali Seminyak, exceeds the salary received by its employees. The reality is that many employees have resigned or moved to hotels. The average reason given by employees to HRD was because the workload was too high, which made employees choose to move from the W Bali Seminyak hotel and choose to open their own business or move to another hotel. This study aims to determine the effect of workload and work environment on employee performance at Hotel W Bali Seminyak. To find answers to the objectives of this study, a correlative associative quantitative research approach was used with the SPSS version 26 analysis tool. The results found that workload had a positive effect on employee performance at Hotel W Bali Seminyak, the work environment had a positive influence on employee performance at Hotel W Bali Seminyak. Likewise workload and work environment together have a positive effect on employee performance at Hotel W Bali Seminyak. Based on the findings in this study, it is hoped that Hotel W Bali Seminyak will pay more attention to the equipment used by employees so that the workload and work environment become better so as to improve employee performance.

Abstract

Pentingnya keberadaan sumber daya manusia dalam pengembangan usaha jasa pariwisata, terlihat dari kebijakan untuk mengajak masyarakat sadar wisata, dan meningkatkan produk wisata, yang sebetulnya juga tidak lepas dari peningkatan profesionalisme sumber daya manusia. Karyawan merupakan salah satu unsur terpenting dalam menentukan maju mundurnya suatu perusahaan. Untuk mencapai tujuan perusahaan diperlukan karyawan yang sesuai dengan persyaratan dalam hotel, dan juga harus mampu menjalankan tugas-tugas yang telah ditentukan oleh hotel. Begitupula sebaliknya selain karyawan yang memenuhi persyaratan dalam hotel, maka hotel juga harus memenuhi tanggung jawabnya dengan memberikan fasilitas kerja dan lingkungan kerja yang memadai agar motivasi kerja karyawan semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh fasilitas kerja dan lingkungan kerja mempengaruhi motivasi kerja karyawan di Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan asosiatif korelatif dengan alat analisis SPSS versi 22. Sampel yang digunakan di penelitian ini berjumlah 100 orang. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa fasilitas kerja (X1) berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan di Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, lingkungan kerja (X2) berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi kerja (Y) karyawan di Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel. Dari hasil yang diperoleh menunjukan fasilitas kerja dan lingkungan kerja secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi karyawan di Discovery Kartika Plaza, Kuta, Bali. The importance of the existence of human resources in the development of tourism service businesses, can be seen from the policy to invite people to be aware of tourism, and improve tourism products, which actually cannot be separated from the increase in the professionalism of human resources. Employees are one of the most important elements in determining the success of a company. In order to achieve the company's goals, it requires employees who comply with the requirements of the hotel, and must also be able to carry out the tasks determined by the hotel. Likewise, in addition to employees who meet the requirements of the hotel, the hotel must also fulfill its responsibilities by providing adequate work facilities and work environment so that employee motivation increases. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing how the influence of work facilities and the work environment affect the work motivation of employees at the Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel. This study used a correlative associative approach with the SPSS version 22 analysis tool. The sample used in this study was 100 people. The results showed that work facilities (X1) had a positive effect on employee motivation at Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, work environment (X2) had a positive effect on employee motivation (Y) at Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel. The results obtained show that work facilities and work environment together have a positive effect on employee motivation at Discovery Kartika Plaza, Kuta, Bali.

Abstract

Background: The integration of information and communication technology (ICT) has transformed the educational landscape, including translation and interpretation education. Technological advancements, such as machine translators (MT), have driven the need for innovative teaching methods that enhance both the effectiveness of instruction and students' translation skills.Aim: This study aims to examine the effectiveness of teaching translation and interpretation courses using an ICT-integrated and pedagogical approach.Method: This study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test, involving 26 students selected through random sampling. Data were analyzed using a paired samples t-test to measure significant differences in learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the ICT-based teaching method.Results: The findings indicate that the ICT-integrated and pedagogical approach effectively improves students' translation skills. The paired samples t-test analysis revealed a significant p-value of less than 0.05 (p-value 0.00). Overall, students perceived that the use of Machine Translators (MT) significantly facilitated their translation process, especially when structured practice was provided.Conclusion: The integration of an ICT-based approach in translation instruction has been proven effective in enhancing students' skills. Understanding the concerns and motivations of both students and educators enables curriculum developers to address learning barriers, boost confidence in the use of machine translators, and guide students toward the efficient utilization of technology.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited ability of teachers to integrate Augmented Reality (AR) technology with local spiritual values, which results in low student participation and the suboptimal internalization of character values through culturally based visual learning. Existing learning media tend to be monotonous and one-directional, failing to stimulate students’ learning interest and appreciation for local culture. This research aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the Chaksu Bunga AR-based learning media, which is grounded in the philosophy of Chaksu Indriya. The media not only presents three-dimensional visualizations of flowers but also incorporates Hindu local values in an interactive and visual format. The study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model and involves 46 students as trial subjects. Data were collected through observations, validation questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Instruments included expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and achievement tests. The data were analyzed using both descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings indicate that the Chaksu Bunga AR media is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ understanding of science concepts and fostering the internalization of character values through a spiritually and aesthetically grounded cultural approach. The study implies the importance of developing contextual learning media that integrates technology and local wisdom as part of 21st-century educational transformation.

Abstract

Salah satu desa di Kabupaten Tabanan, Bali yang memiliki keunggulan di bidang holtikultura berupa tanaman hias adalah Desa Petiga, Kecamatan Marga. Sejak tahun 2016 Desa Petiga ditetapkan sebagai lokasi pembangunan kawasan pedesaan yang merupakan kawasan pedesaan prioritas nasional (KPPN) melalui Keputusan Bupati Tabanan Nomor :80/373/02/HK&HAM/ 2016. Desa ini dikenal dengan desa agropolitan tanaman hias karena hampir 90% penduduknya bermata pencaharian utama menjadi petani tanaman hias. Desa Petiga memiliki luas wilayah 281 hektar, dengan 89% (250 hektar) merupakan lahan pertanian dan sisanya 11% (31 hektar) ladang. Jumlah penduduk 1.801 orang (923 laki-laki dan 878 perempuan) yang terbagi menjadi 573 KK. Tersebar ke dalam tiga dusun, yaitu: Semingan, Petiga Kangin, dan Belanban. Program PIPK ini berusaha memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra, yaitu: Mitra 1 kelompok tani Tanaman Hias Guna Sari, Mitra 2 KWT Mekar Sari, Mitra 3 Kelompok Simatri Sekar Pasti Wangi, dan Mitra 4 Koperasi Guna Sari. Permasalahanya adalah Produksi, penataan stok pembibitan dan media tanam, dan Pemasaran. Metode pelaksanaan yang dilakukan meliputi: PALS (participatory action learning system), Enthrepreneurship Capasity Building (ECB), Technology Transfer (TT), serta menerapkan Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG), persuasif, dan edukatif. Evaluasi pelaksanaan program dengan target terjadi peningkatan level keberdayaan mitra, produktivitas usaha tanaman hias meningkat, dan pendapatan petani meningkat melaui penjualan tanaman hias, kompos, maupun sayur mayur, dan bio urine. Luaran akademik tahun-2 adalah: publikasi pada jurnal nasional terakreditasi Sinta 4, berita di media massa online nasional, dan video kegiatan pengabdian yang ditayangkan di Youtube.   One of the villages in Tabanan Regency, Bali which has advantages in the field of horticulture in the form of ornamental plants is Petiga Village, Marga District. This PIPK program seeks to provide solutions to the problems faced by partners, namely: Partner 1: the Guna Sari Ornamental Plant farmer group, Partner 2: KWT Mekar Sari, Partner 3: the Simatri Sekar Pasti Wangi Group, and Partner 4: the Guna Sari Cooperative. The problems are production, arrangement of nursery stock and planting media, and marketing. The implementation methods used include: PALS (participatory action learning system), Entrepreneurship Capacity Building (ECB), Technology Transfer (TT), as well as applying Appropriate Technology (TTG), persuasive and educational. Evaluation of program implementation with the target of increasing the level of partner empowerment, increasing ornamental plant business productivity, and increasing farmer income through sales of ornamental plants, compost, vegetables, and bio urine. Year 2 academic outcomes are: publications in the accredited national journal Sinta 4, news in national online mass media, and videos of service activities broadcast on YouTube.
