Abstract

The demand for quality services to patients and families continues to increase, especially for nursing services, so it requires nurses who have good caring. Students of the nursing profession who are future nurse candidates, cannot be separated from these demands. These demands can have the potential to bring emotional exhaustion to students. Emotional exhaustion can be caused by social support, workload, and self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to analyze the increase in caring based on the analysis of the causes of emotional fatigue in nursing profession students. The research design in this study is a quantitative method with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study is professional students in two institutions in Jember. The number of samples in this study was 150 respondents, with accidental sampling techniques. Data taken from this study are caring behavior, self-efficacy, support, workload, and emotional exhaustion. In general, the results of this study were found that there was a relationship between social support and emotional fatigue (p-value = <0.0000, B: -0.986), there was a relationship between workload and emotional fatigue (p-value = <0.0000, B: 0.372), there was no relationship between self-efficacy and emotional fatigue (p-value = 0.356, B: -0.84) and there was a relationship between emotional fatigue and caring behavior (p-value = 0.002, correlation coefficient: 0.112). Caring can be improved by means of support from students' families, educational institutions and places of practice and calculating the workload experienced by students when carrying out practice.

Abstract

Low back pain (LBP) is defined as pain that appears between the costal margin and inferior gluteal folds for more than one day, which can be accompanied by leg pain or numbness. Often,  this pain is acute and radiates to the buttocks or thighs. LBP is caused by a farmer's poor body position when working, so it can affect performance and results. A working duration that is too long and exceeds the body's capacity can also increase the risk of LBP in farmers. This think about points to decide the relationship between over-the-top work term and non-ergonomic working positions in rice ranchers with lower back pain. The literature search process in this literature review uses three databases: Google Scholar, Scient Direct, and Pubmed, with a publication year range of 2017–2023. The search was carried out using several keywords in English and Indonesian. From all the search results, ten articles match the research criteria and can be continued to the analysis stage. The study's findings found a relationship between work term, work position, and the rate of LBP in farmers.

Abstract

Clients with diabetes mellitus often experience anxiety in taking medication. This can interfere with the treatment process, reducing the mechanism of the treatment being carried out. This study aims to analyze the relationship between client self-efficacy and anxiety levels when taking treatment at the hospital. This study uses a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study consisted of 133 respondents, and the sampling technique used was consecutive sampling. Data collection used the DMSES (Diabetes et al.) and HADS (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale) questionnaires. The results showed that the p-value = 0.001 and r = - 0.693. This indicates that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and the level of anxiety of patients with diabetes mellitus and has a negative correlation; namely, the higher the self-efficacy, the lower the anxiety level of the respondents. It is hoped that these results can serve as a record for both patients and health workers so that they pay more attention to each other's health and so that health workers, especially nurses, are expected to be able to assess the level of anxiety experienced by patients with Diabetes Mellitus.
