Abstract

Telah dilakukan eksperimen tentang penentuan temperatur Curie pada kawat nikel (Ni) menggunakan metode pendulum. Eksperimen ini dilakukan dengan memvariasikan panjang kawat. Metode pendulum digunakan karena agar dapat memperjelas peristiwa lepasnya magnet pada kawat saat mencapai temperatur curie. Penentuan nilai teperatur curie menggunakan regresi linear antara Panjang kawat terhadap kuadrat tegangan. Data yang telah diperoleh dianalisis dengan pendekatan regresi linier menggunakan Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai Temperatur curie kawat nikel sebesar 625K, tingkat kesesuaian terhadap teori sebesar 99%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa melalui penerapan pembelajaran Predict Observe Explain dalam Edmodo. Peneltian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest. Responden yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 10 orang siswa yang berasal dari kelas VII di salah satu sekolah menengah pertama swasta di Yogyakarta. Pemahaman konsep dievaluasi menggunakan 10 soal tes pilihan ganda pada materi Energi. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dianalisis menggunakan teknik Stacking dan divisualisasikan menggunakan Wright map. Analisis Stacking dan Wright map dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Winsteps 4.6.1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan rata-rata pemahaman konseptual secara klasikal sebesar 0,76 logit. Sebanyak 73% siswa mengalami peningkatan pemahaman konsep pada materi Energi. Peningkatan pemahaman tertinggi sebesar 2,07 logit. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa implementasi model Predict Observe Explain dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa pada materi Energi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar fisika siswa pada materi rangkaian listrik tertutup sederhana menggunakan media power point. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) sebanyak dua siklus. Kegiatan penelitian dilaksanakan pada kelas X.2 di SMAN 1 Srandakan Bantul. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket keaktifan yang terdiri atas 9 aspek. Siklus penelitian dianggap cukup jika persentase keaktifan siswa tiap aspek dan keaktifan rata-rata kelas lebih dari 77%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata keaktifan siswa meningkat sebesar 30,69%. Persentase keaktifan pada siklus 1 sebesar 66,14% dan pada siklus 2 sebesar 96,83%. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media powerpoint dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa pada materi rangkaian listrik tertutup sederhana.

Abstract

This study aims to map the metacognitive awareness profile of students. Respondents involved were 198 students (24% male and 76% female) who were spread in Grade X and XI Science. Respondents were selected using convenience sampling techniques at SMAN 2 Bantul in 2018/2019 Academic Year. Students' metacognitive awareness data were collected using the Jr. MAI developed by Kim et al. Students' metacognitive awareness data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. Results showed that female were more dominant having metacognitive awareness than male students. Overall, students already have good metacognitive awareness in knowledge and regulation aspects. Students' metacognitive knowledge were dominant distributed in Good (class X) and Very Good (class XI) category. While the Students' metacognitive regulations were dominant distributed in the Good category (class X and XI). The results of this study are expected to be used as a teacher's reference in designing effective teaching strategies to improve student academic achievement.Keywords: metacognitive awareness, metacognitive mapping, metacognitive profile, metacognitive students

Abstract

The velocity of the rolling motion is influenced by the shape of the object and its rotating axis. The cylinder motion on inclined plane has been investigated by number of research. However, the water filled cylinder need to be investigated further especially on the possibility moving sliding and rolling. Numerical study has been carried out on water filled cylinder modelling of frictionless sliding motion of point object, frictionless rolling motion, and rolling motion with friction on an inclined plane. By using the Euler method, data processing is carried out with the Scilab application. The resulting graph from running Scilab coding is a graph of v vs t and x vs t. We found the frictionless sliding motion produces the greatest velocity and distance because it is not influenced by friction and the object’s moment of inertia. Solid cylinder rolling with friction on an inclined plane produces the smallest velocity and distance due to the influence of friction and the moment of inertia of the object. These results indicate that a water filled cylinder can be considered a solid cylinder if ignoring all internal motion of water inside the cylinder.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students’ perceptions of the implementation of online learning during the pandemic in terms of gender perspective, ownership of social media, and duration of internet access. This research was conducted by a survey involving 87 students (P = 51% and L = 49%) in junior high school. Data were analyzed using Logit Value of Item (LVI) and Wright map combined with Logit Value of Person (LVP). Students’ perceptions were reviewed based on gender, social media ownership, and duration of daily internet access. The results showed that, in general, students have a positive perception of online learning. Based on gender, male and female students have almost the same positive perception of online learning. In terms of ownership of social media accounts, students with one account or two social media accounts have a perception of online learning above the average logit person. Most students who access the internet for more than 5 hours have a perception above the average logit person. Students whose internet access duration is 3-4 hours have a perception above the average logit person. So, gender, social media ownership, and internet access duration of 3-4 hours have positive perceptions of online learning.

Abstract

This study aims: to produce a learning model based on Local Wisdom Piil Pesenggiri knowledge that has characteristics that can improve the process skills and values of elementary school characters, produce a science learning model based on Piil Pesenggiri Local Wisdom based on appropriate knowledge to improve process skills and values of elementary school character, produce a model of science learning based on Piil Pesenggiri Local Wisdom which is effective for improving the process skills and characters values of elementary school. This research using the ADDIE step of the Research and Development method. The trial subjects included elementary school grade IV students in Lampung Province. Need assessment data is collected by interview, questionnaire, and observation. The feasibility data of the learning model were collected using a validation sheet questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively and statistically. This study's results are expected to make the model of learning science-based on local wisdom Piil Pesenggiri can lead to the development of a learning science model on local wisdom in other regions throughout Indonesia. This development is expected to help students be more interested in learning, understanding their own culture, and becoming students who have good character values.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the students' physics learning outcomes using Macromedia flash learning media. This research is a classroom action research. The research subjects were students of class XI MIA 7 SMAN 2 Bantul, consisting of 30 people (20 Females and 10 Males). Data collection was carried out in three cycles, with three meetings each. The research stages include planning, implementing the action, observing, and reflecting. The results showed an increase in students’ learning outcomes after using Macromedia flash learning media. The percentage of students’ who achieved the minimum completeness criteria in cycle 1 was 83.3%. In Cycle 2, the percentage improved to 93.3%, and in cycle 3 became 96.7%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Macromedia Flash can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Silinder pejal yang menggelinding di atas bidang miring akan mengalami dua gerak sekaligus, yakni gerak rotasi dan translasi. Gerak rotasi terhadap sumbu silinder pejal dan gerak translasi terhadap bidang miring yang dilalui. Dinamika gerak rotasi dan translasi pada bidang miring menjadi kompleks saat silinder pejal bergerak 2 medium yang berbeda kerapatannya. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen di laboratorium untuk menentukan profil jarak terhadap waktu dan kecepatan terhadap waktu untuk gerak silinder pada bidang miring dalam air dengan variasi ketinggian air. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan perekaman video dengan variasi ketinggian air pada saat silinder pejal menggelinding pada bidang miring, lalu video tersebut dipindahkan ke laptop untuk di-tracking menggunakan software tracker. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil tracking tersebut kemudian dibuat grafik profil jarak terhadap waktu dan profil kecepatan terhadap waktu. Pada hasil analisis data selain menghasilkan profil jarak terhadap waktu dan kecepatan terhadap waktu juga memperoleh pengaruh variasi ketinggian air pada profil jarak terhadap waktu dan kecepatan terhadap waktu. Semakin tinggi air, maka semakin pendek lintasan yang ditempuh oleh silinder. Perubahan kecepatan silinder cenderung tidak linear bila ketinggian air tidak tinggi karena gaya gesekan dengan lintasan mulai membesar. Silinder bergerak dengan kecepatan hampir konstan pada saat di dalam air. Kata  kunci— Silinder pejal, software tracker, bidang miring, air ABSTRACT A solid cylinder that rolls on an inclined plane will experience two motions at once, namely rotational and translational motion. Rotational motion about the axis of a solid cylinder and translational motion about the inclined plane traversed. Rotational and translational motion dynamics on inclined plane become complex as a solid cylinder move inside two different mediums that has different density. This research is an experimental research in the laboratory to determine the profile of distance and velocity versus time of cylinder on an inclined plane in water with variations in water level. Data retrieval is done using video recording with variations in water level when a solid cylinder rolls on an inclined plane, then the video is transferred to a laptop for tracking using tracker software. The data are plotted to obtain graph of distance and velocity profile In the results of data analysis, in addition to producing a profile of distance against time and speed with respect to time, it also obtained the effect of variations in water level on the profile of distance against time and speed with respect to time. Higher the water height, shorter the cylinder path. The changes of cylinder speed tend to be non-linear if the height of water is low. This is due to the drag force with the track start to increase. Abstract

Learning management systems (LMS) have become a key component of teaching and learning in schools. However, the evaluation of student acceptance rates on its implementation so far has not been widely reported. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the acceptance rate of LMS among students in terms of gender and grade level. The level of student acceptance of the LMS in administration through an online survey using Google forms. A total of 141 students who took physics subjects from class XI and XII, one of the vocational high schools were involved. Acceptance of the LMS uses a 21-item LMSAS (Learning Management System Acceptability Scale) developed by Sezer and Yilmaz in 2019. The LMSAS uses a 5-point Likert scale, from 1 (Strongly Disagree) to 5 (Strongly Agree). LMS acceptance components include Performance Expectancy (PE), Effort Expectancy (EE), Facilitating Condition (FC), and Social Influence (SI). Wright map and Logit Value of Person (LVP) were used to assess LMS acceptance among students. The analysis results show that student acceptance of the LMS is distributed chiefly at a good level of acceptance. As many as 84% of students received the LMS. Based on gender, 65% of male students are quite accepting of the LMS. Based on class, class XII students are more dominant (35.5%) receiving LMS. Thus, most students in public vocational high schools welcome the LMS well.
