Abstract

Sophistication in technology and media allows Islamic boarding school people to reach a wider audience, engage in religious discussions, and build networks with communities that have similar interests. The affects the daily activities of Islamic boarding school women, especially Nawaning, including da’wah. Nawaning is starting to exist in various places and in digital media. Previously, da’wah carried out around Islamic boarding schools, but now it can be heard by a large audience through new media. The article aims to explore the trend of Nawaning da'wah in the new media era. This study is qualitative research with a media ecology approach. Primary data obtained from several nawanings in Central Java and parts of Nawaning Nusantara or JPPPM. Secondary data from Nawaning’s social media accounts and related online and offline documents. Data collected by interviews and documentation. The results of this article show that the trend of da’wah among Ning in the new media era is preaching using social media. They deliver a variety of material, with da'wah methods according to the tendencies of each nawaning and with an approach tailored to the purpose of the da’wah. The reformulation of Nawaning da'wah through new media is a significant step in efforts to carry out da'wah that is more relevant, inclusive, and effective in an increasingly connected and rapidly changing environment.

Abstract

Tingginya minat masyarakat untuk melaksanakan umrah membuat biro travel berlomba-lomba untuk membuat produk baru yaitu dana talangan umrah. Adanya dana talangan umrah di sisi lain menimbulkan pertanyaan pada masyarakat tentang keabsahannya secara hukum Islam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pandangan ulama terkait dana talangan umrah serta mengkaji pandangan umara mengenai hal yang sama. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk memahami secara mendalam sinergi antara pandangan ulama dan umara dalam menilai keabsahan dana talangan umrah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis. Data diperoleh melalui studi literatur, penelitian sebelumnya, serta pemahaman terhadap peraturan terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pendapat di kalangan ulama mengenai penggunaan dana talangan. Beberapa memperbolehkan dan yang lain tidak. Umara, melalui Peraturan Menteri Agama dan fatwa DSN-MUI, memperbolehkan penggunaan dana talangan umrah dengan ketentuan yang sesuai dengan prinsip syariah. Sinergitas antara ulama dan umara sangat penting untuk memastikan bahwa dana talangan umrah dikelola dengan baik dan transparan, sehingga dapat memberikan manfaat maksimal bagi umat Islam yang membutuhkan, dengan demikian umat Islam dapat melaksanakan ibadah umrah dengan tenang dan aman meskipun menggunakan dana talangan.

Abstract

IntroductionIn Indonesia, the demand for Umrah services has grown significantly, amplifying the need for skilled muthawif who can support pilgrims both spiritually and logistically. The unique position of muthawif within the Umrah travel ecosystem requires well-structured management to ensure that service quality meets pilgrims' expectations. This study addresses the gaps in understanding how muthawif management practices are implemented within Indonesian travel bureaus and identifies the role of Saudi concessions in shaping these practices.ObjectivesThe primary objectives of this study are to assess the responsibilities of muthawif within the framework of concessions provided by Saudi and Indonesian authorities and to analyze the management approaches that optimize muthawif roles in enhancing the pilgrim experience. This research also seeks to identify the operational challenges faced by muthawif in balancing their duties across various management structures.MethodA qualitative field research approach was adopted, involving interviews and observations with key stakeholders such as muthawif, Umrah bureau directors, and agency leaders. Data was collected in both Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, allowing for an in-depth exploration of how muthawif function within different organizational and regulatory contexts. This approach provides contextual insights into the management practices influencing muthawif performance.ResultsThe study found that muthawif in Indonesia operate within three main categories: government-managed, agency-affiliated, and freelance. Each type of muthawif has different levels of flexibility and operational scope, impacting the quality and consistency of guidance services. Saudi government concessions offer operational flexibility, while Indonesian travel bureaus emphasize standardized training and service quality aligned with Islamic principles. These differences impact how muthawif adapt to the needs of diverse pilgrim groups.ImplicationsThe findings suggest that structured management and regulatory concessions are crucial to enhancing muthawif performance and service quality. Collaborative efforts between Indonesian travel bureaus and muthawif agencies contribute to a more professional and efficient Umrah guidance service. This study provides practical insights for travel bureaus and policymakers seeking to improve muthawif training standards and management practices within the Umrah industry.Originality/NoveltyThis research expands the literature on Umrah service management by focusing on the specific roles and concessions governing muthawif. It introduces new perspectives on optimizing muthawif performance through coordinated management approaches and cross-agency collaboration, addressing a critical area of service quality for Indonesian pilgrims undertaking Umrah.

Abstract

Skema 4-3-5 dalam penyelenggaraan haji tahun 2024 menjadi formula terbaru yang dimana skema ini sebagai wujud evaluasi pelaksanaan haji pada tahun sebelumnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tentang penerapan skema 4-3-5 dalam penyelenggaraan haji 2024 serta menganalisis skema tersebut menurut perspektif Manajemen Mutu Terpadu (TQM). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi,wawancara, dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implementasi skema 4-3-5 dalam penyelenggaraan haji terdiri dari empat perdana, tiga pengembangan ekosisitem ekonomi, dan lima inovasi haji. Analisis skema 4-3-5 dalam penyelenggaraan haji berdasarkan Manajemen Mutu Terpadu menunjukkan pelaksanaan pelayanan sudah berjalan dengan baik terutama dalam mencapai kepuasan jemaah dan prinsip perbaikan berkelanjutan, namun pelaksanaan tersebut masih menghadapi sejumlah kendala yang berkaitan dengan implementasi konsep sistem organisasional. Abstract

Haji ialah hal yang wajib diamalkan oleh semua umat muslim diseluruh dunia dan sanggup menjalankannya. Pentingnya panduan dan tuntunan manasik menjadi pedoman sebelum menunaikan ibadah haji dan umrah yang melaksanakan. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji manasik haji, umrah, dan ziarah madinah dalam kitab Manasik al-Hajj wa al- Umrah wa Ziarah al-Madinah al-Munawwarah dan melihatnya dari sisi kontemporer dengan pisau analisis buku Tuntunan Manasik Haji Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia Tahun 2024. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Kepustakaan (Library Research) dengan pendekatan kajian literasi analisis isi (Content Analysis) oleh Krippendorff. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kitab Manasik al-Hajj wa al-Umrah wa Ziarah al-Madinah al- Munawwarah tidak jauh beda dengan buku tuntunan manasik yang ditulis oleh Kementerian Agama Tahun 2024, hanya saja perbedaanya terletak pada bahasa, sumber rujukan, pendekatan, kontekstualisasi zaman, filososi, transportasi dan akomodasi. Keseluruhan kedua tuntunan panduan manasik haji, umrah ini cukup signifikan, di mana Buku tuntunan Manasik oleh Kementerian Agama Tahun 2024 sangat praktis dan mudahdipahami dalam segi bahasa sesuai dengan standar operating procedure (SOP) dan tafsir moderat. Sedangkan Kitab ini lebih fokus pada tata cara manasik, doa, panduan, adab dan kaidah-kaidah lainya yang ditulis berdasarkan fikih, al-Qur’an, hadits dalam kitab klasik berbasis Jawa Pegon.

Abstract

This study aims to identify how the fulfillment of basic psychological needs, namely competence, independence, and relatedness can increase and shape pilgrims' motivation to perform Umrah independently. With the increasing public interest in performing Umrah independently, it is important to understand how these three basic psychological needs affect pilgrims' motivation. This study uses a qualitative research method with a psychological approach. Data were collected through interviews with pilgrims who have performed Umrah independently and observation. This study involved five participants who have performed Umrah independently. The results showed that pilgrims will fulfill and satisfy their three basic psychological needs such as competence, autonomy and relatedness with the help of several factors such as previous experience, technological advances, access to information, and the existence of a community. These three needs together increase and shape their motivation in performing Umrah independently so that pilgrims can undergo worship with more confidence and meaning. Motivation that increases and is formed after the fulfillment of basic psychological needs includes intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. In addition, intrinsic motivation is more dominant in developing and increasing during the implementation of independent Umrah.

Abstract

This study investigates how AI chatbots can stimulate students' conceptual understanding and learning independence. AI chatbots as interactive tools to improve learning success have recently increased in education as AI technology develops rapidly. Chatbots powered by artificial intelligence can provide direct feedback to students, respond to their questions, and help them develop a deeper understanding of their ideas. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative methodology approach. One hundred high school students were selected as the research sample. This sample was then divided into two groups: the experimental and the control groups. The experimental group used AI chatbots as a tool in the learning process, while the control group learned without using the technology. The results showed that students in the experimental group experienced a significant increase in conceptual understanding compared to the control group. AI chatbots helped students clarify difficult-to-understand concepts, provide additional explanations, and present reflective questions that encourage critical thinking. In addition, chatbots also play a role in fostering learning independence because students become more accustomed to finding answers and solutions to their problems independently without relying entirely on teachers or peers. Furthermore, this study highlights how the use of AI chatbots not only improves academic outcomes but also contributes to building students' confidence in understanding learning materials. Thus, this study concludes that AI chatbots are an effective and innovative learning tool for improving students' conceptual understanding and learning independence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the views of Grobogan Regency scholars in addressing the murur and tanazul schemes in the 2024 Hajj season. The addition of a quota of 20,000 is an exciting space for Muslims in Indonesia. Complex problems that often occurred in the previous Hajj season related to the accumulation of pilgrims in certain areas such as Muzdalifah and Mina, the increase in the quota given but the lack of space provided made its own concerns for the Indonesian government, especially on the health of the congregation. The research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique uses interviews that have primary sources from the clerics of MUI, NU, and PDM Grobogan Regency. The informants in this study were selected using purposive sampling technique, namely selecting informants who have knowledge and experience related to the murur and tanazul schemes in the 2024 Hajj season. The results showed that the scholars of Grobogan Regency agreed with the existence of the murur and tanazul schemes in the 2024 Hajj season, with the criteria for the murur scheme being elderly, high-risk, and companion pilgrims, while the tanazul scheme is intended for pilgrims who have strong physical health, because it requires extra energy to walk back to the lodgings because there is no transportation intended for pilgrims who want to do tanazul, only Raudhah and Syiyah lodgings kare.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the idea that commodification is a process of changing the value of a product which previously only had a use value and then becomes an exchange value where the demand for the product is determined by the price, designed by the manufacturer. The formulation of the research problem is how to commodify the religion of siwak products through halal labels and how to analyze media and advertisements related to the religious commodification of siwak products. The research method is libraryresearch. The results showed that currently siwak has turned into toothpaste. Toothpaste has become one of the people's daily needs. The habit of brushing teeth has existed since ancient times and people prefer to use siwak wood. Currently there are several toothpaste products that offer halal products, which contain the siwak content taught by the Prophet Muhammad and have a halal certificate from Indonesian Ulama Council. From the realm of media, technological, media and economic developments play an important role in thereligious commodification. This is also one way of advertising by playing with the psychology of viewers by choosing halal products, it will show high faith.

Abstract

Women today continue to face inferiority. The patriarchal culture prevalent in society generally positions women in a marginalized social status, rendering them vulnerable to violence and exploitation. This results in women lacking control within the household and the absence of autonomous rights. This issue is further exacerbated in the context of divorce cases. This research aims to reveal women's autonomy and the dynamics between husbands and wives in terms of work division and decision-making within the family. This study is a field research that employs a qualitative approach. Collected data were processed and analyzed using an interrelation model. The findings of this study are as follows: First, women's autonomy and power can be realized through access opportunities for women, supported by the existing environmental conditions. Second, in divorce cases, women's autonomy can be assessed through six factors: the absence of spousal responsibility, economic instability, gender awareness, social conditions, ego, and the husband’s lack of motivation to work. Third, the relationship between spouses in work division tends to reflect an equal partnership. Family decision-making, as identified in this study, is characterized by wife-dominant and syncratic decision-making types.
