Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of integrated farming systems of plants and cattle on plant productivity and increase in farmer’s income in the daily Subdistrict of Samosir Regency. This research was conducted in the Partungko Naginjang, Janji Martahan, and Siparmahan in Harian Subdistrict, Samosir Regency. The method of this research is a case study. The data analysis used is the t-Test. The conclusion of this study is that integrated farming of crops and cattle has a significant impact on increasing land productivity with potato crops per farmer participant integrated farming is higher than farmers not participants, with differences in land productivity of 0,99 tons per hectare and integrated crop farming and cattle have a significant impact on increasing farmer’s income. The average income of integrated farmer participant per planting season is higher than the income of farmers who are not the participant with the differences in income IDR 11,562,968 per Ha. The farmers who have not utilized the integration of plants and cattle are expected to participate as participants because this program provide an increase and productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Analysis of Molan Cattle Fattening Business Analysis. This research was carried out at the Molan Cattle Fattening Business in Tanjung Jati Village, Binjai District, Binjai City. The research is a case study. The selection of research locations with consideration of the business of Molan Cattle Farming is a profitable business. The data were collected by doing observation and direct interviews. The Data were analysis with descriptive and quantitative method. The results showed the total variable costs incurred 1 409 600 000 IDR, fixed costs amounting to 75,000,000 IDR with 1 950 000 000 IDR in revenues. The profitability value is 31.34%. The results showed the number of cattle fattening as many as 150 heads with income of 465 400 000 IDR. BEP Fattening Molan Cattle Fattening Business is 267,858,142 IDR by maintaining 21 cows. The conclusion of this research is the profitability of Molan Cattle Fattening is 31.34% higher than the interest bank of 6 percent and The Value of BEP as much as 267 858 142 IDR with maintaining 21 tails.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics and feasibility of smallholder beef cattle business in Langkat Regency. This research was conducted in May 2020. The research method used was a survey method. The sampling technique used in this study was the Multistage Random Sampling Method. Respondents were beef cattle breeders who were taken randomly as many as 80 respondents. The data collection method is the method of observation and direct interviews with breeders. Methods of data analysis are descriptive and quantitative. The results show the characteristics of the breeders, namely the age of the productive age breeders, namely 40-50 years (47 people), the education level of the breeders who were mostly educated in junior high school was 48.75% and the breeding experience was 11-20 years as many as 51 people (63.75%). . Business feasibility, namely an ROI of 27.45%, is greater than the interest rate on Bank BRI's deposit interest of 4%. NPV of IDR 452,758 is worth greater than zero. The Net BC ratio value of 1.01 is greater than 1. IRR of 14,05%, is greater than the interest rate on Bank BRI's credit interest of 6%. The conclusion of this study is that the business is declared financially feasible because it is able to generate a return on investment and the revenue received is greater than the expenditure so that the business is profitable and feasible to develop.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the feed management and profitability of smallholder beef cattle farming. The study was conducted in Langkat Regency with a total of 80 respondents from smallholder beef cattle business. The method of the study is a survey. The data analysis used is descriptive quantitative. Data were analyzed using income analysis, profitability and One Sample T-Test using SPSS. The results showed that the management of feed, namely the feed provided only consisted of forage, feeding was given in the morning and evening and the way of feeding was the Kreman method. Based on the results of calculations during the covid 19 pandemic, the total of revenue were Rp. 16,122,500; production cost of Rp. 12,389,581. The amount of income is Rp. 3,732,919. Profitability value of 23.15% is greater than BRI Bank deposits of 4%, so the beef cattle business is declared profitable and feasible to be developed.

Abstract

This research analyzes the Break-Even Point of smallholder dairy Farming and to know the maintenance of dairy cattle in Semarang Regency. A survey method was used in this research. The sampling technique in this study used the Multistage Random Sampling Method. Respondents studied were 80 dairy farmers. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The result showed BEP in Semarang regency based on revenue of IDR 31, 916/day and based on the amount of production of 10.57 liters/day. The average revenue volume of production/ day is 24.88 Liters/day and the average revenue is IDR 70,771/day thus the dairy business is already operating above the Break-Even Point. The maintenance of dairy cows consists of feeding (forage and concentrate) and drinking adlibitum, livestock sanitation is carried out twice a day, 12 months of calving interval, the type of pen is conventional and milking is done twice a day, namely in the morning and evening.

Abstract

Karo Regency is the largest horticultural production center in North Sumatra. In conducting outreach activities about the socialization of vegetable waste processing on agricultural land in Lingga Village, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency, it is hoped that the extension workers can measure farmer satisfaction. This study aims to assess the level of farmer satisfaction with the socialization of vegetable waste processing on agricultural land. The analytical method used is the Job Description Index (JDI) job satisfaction analysis method by taking the entire population of the Arihta Ersada farmer group as many as 27 people. For farmer characteristics, multiple linear regression tests were carried out using the SPSS application. This study shows a very good assessment for each indicator set. The JDI indicator of this study was simultaneously very good as much as 43.8%, with a good rating of 34%, a poor satisfaction level of 12.3% and very bad 9.9%. While the partial of each indicator shows that this socialization is considered very good at 40.7%, the results of composting are 51.9%, income opportunities are 40.7%, the quality of socializers is 77.8%, farmer partners are 40.7%, and the condition of vegetable waste is 11.1%. The conclusion of this study shows that most of the farmers are very satisfied with the socialization of agricultural waste processing. Processing of agricultural waste is needed for fertilizer substitution, which has been a large cost opportunity and in the end is able to become a form of implementing organic agriculture.

Abstract

The R/C ratio of laying chickens and the breeders' earnings from rearing laying hens over a year are being researched in this study. This study was carried out in the Lempauke District of Samarinda. Since the laying hen breeding sector is sufficiently large and contains more animals than other industries, a purposeful sample was utilized for the study. The average profit for laying hen farmers in Samarinda is now known to be Rp. 1,378,263,000 for a single period year with a total of 5,000 chickens raised, and the results of the calculation of the level of enterprise efficiency R/C ratio of 2,68 indicate that the Layer chicken Farming in the city of Samarinda is suitable to operate.
