Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Children Learning In Science (CLIS) learning model on student learning outcomes in the IPAS subject "Magnet: A Mysterious Object" in Grade IV at SD Negeri 048472 Kutambelin for the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a quantitative experimental method with a total sample of 30 students. The independent variable was the CLIS learning model, while the dependent variable was student learning outcomes. Data were collected using questionnaires and multiple-choice tests. The average pre-test score was 37.66, increasing to 79.33 in the post-test, while the questionnaire yielded an average score of 75.43. The correlation coefficient was 0.827 (rcalculated ≥ rtable), and the t-test result was 7,796 (tcalculated ≥ ttable), indicating a significant positive effect of the CLIS model on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Cooperative Learning model of the Index Card Match type on student learning outcomes in Mathematics for Grade III at SD Negeri 101822 Pancur Batu in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research uses a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subjects of this study were all 21 students of the third grade. The instruments used included tests and questionnaires. The test was administered in the form of a pre-test and post-test, each consisting of 20 questions, to measure the improvement in learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the learning model. The pre-test results showed an average score of 54, with only 6 students (29%) achieving the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP). After the implementation of the Cooperative Learning model of the Index Card Match type, the post-test results improved, with an average score of 77, and 17 students (81%) achieving mastery. The normality test results showed that the data were normally distributed. The correlation test produced an r-value of 0.933 ≥ t-table value of 0.433, indicating a very strong relationship. The t-test showed a t-count of 11.294 ≥ t-table of 2.093, thus Ha was accepted. The results of the study prove that the Cooperative Learning model of the Index Card Match type has a significant and effective impact on improving student learning outcomes. This model is able to create an active, enjoyable learning environment that directly engages students in understanding the concept of simple fractions.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the influence of the Student Team Achievement Division type cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of grade V students in the science subject at UPT SD Negeri 173299 Paniaran for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This study uses a quantitative research method. The population in this study is all students of grade V of the State Elementary School UPT State Elementary School 173299 Paniaran consisting of 34 students. Sampling using Total Sampling. Those involved in this study were students of class V of SD Negeri 173299 Paniaran consisting of 20 males and 14 females. To find out the initial ability of students, researchers conducted a pretest with an average score of 53.52. After the researcher used the Student Team Achievement Divison model, it showed that student learning outcomes increased with an average of 81.41 good categories. This study can be proven from the results of the calculation of the correlation coefficient of 0.765, meaning R_hitung (0.765) ≥ R_tabel (0.338). So Ha accepted. So there is a strong influence between the Student Team Achievement Division model on the learning outcomes of students in grade V of SD Negeri 173299 Paniaran. It can be seen from the results of the t-test test which is 6,721 ≥ 1,690 with a significant level (⍺=0.05). Thus Ha was accepted. This shows that there is a significant positive influence of the use of the Student Team Achievement Division learning model on the teaching outcomes of students in grade V of the State Elementary School 173299 Paniaran for the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in the science and science subject class V at SD Negeri 066650 Medan Kota for the 2024/2025 academic year. This research uses quantitative research methods. The research population is class V at SD Negeri 067245 Bunga Asoka which consists of 1 class with a total of 30 students. Sampling used a total sample of 30 students. To determine students' initial abilities, researchers conducted a pretest with an average score of 50.5 in the not good category. After researchers used the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning model, it showed that student learning outcomes had improved with an average score of 75 in the good category. This research can be proven from the results of the correlation coefficient of 0.841. If rcount ≥ rtable 0.841 ≥ 0.361 then Ha is accepted. This means that there is a strong correlation influence between the project based learning model on the learning outcomes of class V students at UPT SD N 066650 Medan Kota. It can be seen from the results of the t-test, namely 8.215 ≥ 2.048, thus stating that Ha is accepted. This proves that there is a significant influence from the use of the project based learning model on student learning outcomes in the science and sciences subject V SD Negeri 066650 Medan Kota for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using interactive digital-based learning media on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 060938 Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research employed a quantitative method, with the study population consisting of all fourth-grade students at SDN 060938. The research sample comprised 28 students selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data on the use of interactive digital-based learning media were obtained through questionnaires distributed to students, while learning outcomes were measured using students' pretest and posttest scores during the 2024/2025 academic year. The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes using the The use of interactive digital based learning model fall into the "very good" category, with an average posttest score of 82.73 and an average questionnaire score of 86.29. Furthermore, hypothesis testing showed that the calculated t-value (6.282) was greater than the t-table value (2.060), indicating that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Based on the t-test results, it can be concluded that interactive digital-based learning media have a significant effect on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 060938 Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Mastery Learning model on student learning outcomes in science at grade V of Harapan Baru Elementary School, Medan, in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method used was an experimental method with a quantitative approach. To obtain the required data, a test instrument consisting of 30 questions was used. The sample size was 30 students using a purposive sampling technique. To determine students' initial abilities, the researcher conducted a pretest with an average score of 58.3. And the results of the posttest have increased from the pretest given previously with the average value of students reaching 83.86. It can be said that the level of success of student learning outcomes has increased as evidenced by the results of the correlation coefficient test calculation obtained r count ≥ r table with the results of 0.941 ≥ 0.361. Furthermore, hypothesis testing is comparing the value of t count ≥ t table with the results of 14.781 ≥ 2.042. With these results, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Through the t-test it can be concluded that there is an influence of the contextual learning model on students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Wordwall media on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD GKPS Saribudolok, focusing on the topic of perimeter and area of plane figures. This research employed an experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design without a control group. A total of 36 students from class V-A participated as research subjects. Data were collected through pretests, posttests, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and one-sample t-test with the assistance of SPSS version 25. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes after the implementation of the PBL model assisted by Wordwall. The average pretest score of 59.33 (categorized as poor) increased to 79.88 (categorized as good) in the posttest, with 75% of students achieving mastery learning above the minimum competency criteria. Normality tests confirmed that the data were normally distributed (p > 0.05), and the t-test results showed that tcount ≥ ttable (3.820 ≥ 2.030) with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating a positive and significant effect of using PBL with Wordwall on mathematics learning outcomes. Furthermore, students’ responses toward the learning model were categorized as very good (mean = 92.16). Thus, PBL assisted by Wordwall can be considered an effective learning strategy to improve mathematics learning achievement and student motivation.

Abstract

Low learning outcomes in IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) among elementary school students are often caused by limited student engagement and learning methods that do not accommodate diverse learning styles. This study aims to determine the effect of the VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) learning model on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in IPAS subjects at SD Negeri 067246 Medan Tuntungan. The research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 30 purposively selected students from class IVB. Instruments used were learning outcome tests and student response questionnaires. The test assessed students’ knowledge before and after the implementation of the VAK model, while the questionnaire gathered students' responses toward the applied learning model. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test with SPSS version 22. Results showed an increase in the average score from 56.27 (pretest) to 85.33 (posttest). The t-test yielded a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a statistically significant improvement in learning outcomes after the use of the VAK model. Furthermore, 60% of students responded positively to the learning process. These results suggest that the VAK model supports student engagement and accommodates various learning styles in IPAS learning.

Abstract

Household waste is one of the major contributors to environmental problems in densely populated areas, including Kenangan Village in Percut Sei Tuan District. Limited waste management systems have led to the accumulation of organic waste, environmental pollution, and declining public health. At the same time, the rising cost of commercial animal feed has become an economic burden for low-income families. This community service program aims to provide an integrated solution through training on Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae cultivation to convert organic waste into animal feed and organic fertilizer. The implementation methods included lectures, discussions, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and field mentoring. The results indicate an improvement in the community’s understanding of organic waste processing, significant reduction of organic waste volume, and the production of maggot culture as livestock feed and organic fertilizer. In addition, participants were motivated to initiate small businesses based on maggot production and its residue. This program has proven to be effective as a circular economy solution that integrates waste management, household economic improvement, and community empowerment. The activity is recommended for broader and continuous implementation.

Abstract

Pola hidup sehat merupakan aspek penting dalam mendukung pertumbuhan, perkembangan, dan kebugaran jasmani siswa, termasuk anak-anak yang tinggal di panti asuhan. Keterbatasan akses informasi kesehatan, kebiasaan sedentari, pola makan yang kurang seimbang, serta rendahnya aktivitas fisik terstruktur dapat berdampak pada rendahnya tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa panti asuhan tentang pola hidup sehat dan mendorong peningkatan kebugaran jasmani melalui sosialisasi, praktik aktivitas fisik, edukasi gizi seimbang, kebersihan diri, istirahat cukup, serta pengukuran sederhana kebugaran jasmani. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui tahap observasi awal, pretest pengetahuan, sosialisasi, demonstrasi senam kebugaran, praktik aktivitas fisik, posttest, dan evaluasi reflektif. Peserta kegiatan adalah 30 siswa Panti Asuhan berusia 10–15 tahun. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi angket pengetahuan pola hidup sehat, lembar observasi partisipasi, dan tes kebugaran jasmani sederhana. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata pengetahuan siswa dari 62,33 menjadi 84,67. Selain itu, partisipasi siswa dalam aktivitas fisik meningkat dari kategori cukup menjadi baik. Hasil pengukuran kebugaran jasmani juga menunjukkan peningkatan pada aspek daya tahan, kekuatan otot perut, kelentukan, dan koordinasi gerak. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi pola hidup sehat yang dipadukan dengan praktik aktivitas fisik sederhana dapat menjadi strategi edukatif yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran hidup sehat dan kebugaran jasmani siswa panti asuhan.
