Abstract

This research examines the role of the Madrasah Committee in supporting the management of School Operational Assistance Funds (BOS) at Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Ulum, Banyuanyar Lor, Gending, Probolinggo. The Madrasah Committee as a strategic partner of educational institutions has the responsibility to support the planning, implementation and supervision of the management of BOS funds in a transparent and accountable manner. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, involving in-depth interviews with Madrasah Committee members, madrasah heads, teachers, as well as document analysis related to the management of BOS funds. The research results show that the role of the Madrasah Committee includes contributing to budget planning, providing strategic input on priority use of funds, as well as monitoring the implementation and reporting of BOS funds. However, several obstacles were found, such as committee members' limited understanding of fund management regulations and a lack of active participation in the evaluation process. To increase the effectiveness of the role, it is recommended that there be training and technical assistance for committee members, as well as strengthening synergy between the madrasah and the committee. These findings provide important insight into the importance of Madrasah Committee involvement in managing BOS funds to support improving the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of technology in supporting the school accreditation process at MTs Zainul Hasan Genggong. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method to gain a deeper understanding of technology use in educational quality management, particularly in the accreditation process. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with the school principal, administrative staff, teachers, and information technology managers at the school, as well as through direct observation of the technology implementation. The results of the study indicate that the application of digital technology in the accreditation process has a positive impact on improving the efficiency and transparency of accreditation data processing. Cloud-based systems enable faster data collection and facilitate monitoring, but there are challenges related to staff mastery of technology and infrastructure limitations, particularly unstable internet connections. Additionally, although technology provides significant benefits, reliance on digital systems raises concerns in the event of technical disruptions, which require contingency plans. The conclusion of this study is that while the application of technology in accreditation has a positive impact, challenges related to training and infrastructure need to be addressed to achieve more optimal results. This study provides recommendations for other schools to adopt technology in the accreditation process and improve the quality of education through digitalization.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of emotional leadership in educational decision-making and improving the quality of learning at MA Miftahul Ulum Banyuanyar Lor, Probolinggo Regency. This study was chosen by considering the socio-economic diversity of students that can affect the learning process at the madrasah. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach, where data was collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, vice principal for curriculum, three educators, two students, and two parents of students. Observations were also conducted to directly see the emotional interactions that occur in the educational process. The results of the study indicate that the application of emotional leadership, based on the theory of emotional intelligence by Goleman and Salovey, has been shown to improve the quality of learning. Leaders who are able to manage emotions and show empathy succeed in creating an atmosphere that supports learning, motivates educators, and increases students' enthusiasm for learning. However, challenges related to students' socio-economic conditions that affect their emotional conditions remain an important concern in educational management. In conclusion, the emotional leadership that is applied has had a positive impact on the quality of education. Therefore, it is important to continue to develop emotional intelligence at the educational leadership level in order to improve the quality of learning at the madrasah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze marketing mix strategies in increasing the number of new students in private Islamic educational institutions, with a case study at SMA Zainul Hasan Genggong, Probolinggo, East Java. The phenomenon of declining interest in private Islamic schools amid increasingly fierce competition among educational institutions is the background for the importance of this study. The research was conducted to determine how the four elements of the marketing mix—product, price, promotion, and place—are managed within the context of a boarding school-based institution, as well as the challenges and opportunities encountered in their implementation. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, with primary informants including the school principal, promotion staff, senior teachers, and parents. The research findings indicate that the product element has strengths in terms of Islamic curriculum and tahfidz programs, but it has not been packaged in a systematic promotional narrative. The price element is flexible but lacks transparency in its communication to the public. Promotional strategies still predominantly rely on conventional methods and have not fully leveraged social media or digital channels. Meanwhile, the distribution element does not provide adequate online information access, particularly for prospective students from outside the region. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the marketing mix strategy at SMA Zainul Hasan Genggong needs to be strengthened through a more open, technology-based, and participatory communication approach to enhance the appeal and competitiveness of private Islamic educational institutions in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of digital marketing on the effectiveness of learning and the quality of education at MI Miftahul Ulum Banyuanyar Lor, Probolinggo Regency. The location of this study was chosen because this Madrasah has begun to integrate digital technology into the learning process. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach, involving interviews with the principal, vice principal for curriculum, five educators, two students, and two parents of students. The data obtained through interviews and observations were then analyzed to see how digital marketing is implemented in this Madrasah. The results of the study show that the use of social media and other digital platforms increases interaction between schools, students, and parents, and makes learning more interesting and interactive. Digital marketing makes it easier for students to access teaching materials more flexibly. However, there are challenges related to limited internet access and the influence of social media on students' learning concentration. In conclusion, digital marketing has great potential to improve the quality of Islamic education in this Madrasah, but proper supervision and regulation are needed so that technology is used effectively and does not interfere with students' focus on learning.

Abstract

Kemandirian ekonomi pemuda merupakan faktor penting dalam pembangunan desa berkelanjutan. Di Desa Pringgajurang Utara, Kecamatan Montong Gading, Kabupaten Lombok Timur, sebagian besar pemuda masih bergantung pada pekerjaan sebagai Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) akibat terbatasnya lapangan kerja dan keterampilan kewirausahaan. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi pemuda melalui pengembangan usaha pembuatan kloset berbasis home industry. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi empat tahap, yaitu: (1) identifikasi potensi lokal dan perencanaan program, (2) pelatihan teknik produksi kloset, (3) pelatihan manajemen usaha dan pemasaran digital, serta (4) monitoring dan evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan terhadap keterampilan teknis, kemampuan manajerial, dan motivasi wirausaha peserta. Sebanyak 92% peserta mampu memproduksi kloset layak jual, 10 orang memulai usaha mandiri, dan terjadi penurunan minat menjadi PMI sebesar 68%. Program ini berkontribusi nyata terhadap peningkatan kemandirian ekonomi pemuda serta mendorong terciptanya ekosistem usaha kecil yang berkelanjutan di tingkat desa.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the types of figurative language and the meaning of figurative language contained in the Mie Sedap Advertising Slogan. The data source for this research is the 2019-2023 Mie Sedap advertisement. Data was obtained using listening and taking notes. Data containing figurative language are then analyzed descriptively qualitatively based on the theory of figurative language proposed by Tarigan (1985) and Leech (1974) regarding meaning. The research results show that there are 16 figurative languages contained in the Mie Sedap Advertisement, namely 2 data for repetition, 4 data for personification, 5 data for hyperbole, 2 data for alliteration, 1 data for metaphor, 1 for simile and also 1 for synecdoche. Hyperbole and personification are the dominant types of figurative language found in Mie Sedap Advertisements. Meanwhile, the meaning of figurative language tends to use a combination of connotative, denotative, stylistic and affective meanings.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of technology in education from the perspective of change management theory, with a particular focus on developing educator competencies at Islamic Senior High School (Madrasah Aliyah) Miftahul Ulum, located in Sumberanyar, Paiton, Probolinggo, East Java. Using a qualitative case study design, the study draws on desk reviews of school policy documents and training records, classroom observations of technology-supported learning activities, and semi-structured interviews with teachers, school leaders, and IT coordinators. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis, following stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to identify patterns aligned with Lewin’s change management framework. The findings reveal that adequate preparation (Unfreeze) through structured training and awareness-building significantly reduces resistance to technology adoption. During the implementation phase (Change), teachers demonstrate improved competencies in digital assessment, learning management systems, and collaborative tools. Sustaining change (Refreeze) requires continuous professional development, consistent leadership support, and peer collaboration to ensure long-term integration. The study contributes both theoretically and practically by offering a contextualized application of Lewin’s change management model within an Islamic secondary school setting and by providing evidence-based strategies for strengthening educator digital competence. Practically, the research guides schools in designing structured training programs and cultivating collaborative cultures to enhance effective and sustainable technology integration. Theoretically, it enriches the discourse on change management in educational technology by illustrating how classical change models operate in faith-based school environments.

Abstract

Pendidikan mitigasi bencana dipandang penting untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia melalui pembelajaran teks. Oleh sebab itu, tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk kearifan lokal Suku Sasak yang dapat diintegrasikan sebagai pendidikan mitigasi bencana berbasis kearifan lokal Suku Sasak dan untuk menjelaskan bentuk pengintegrasian pendidikan mitigasi bencana dalam pembelajaran teks prosedur pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan telaah pustaka mengenai budaya dan tradisi orang Sasak. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu terdapat 10 bentuk kearifan lokal suku Sasak yang dapat dijadikan mitigasi bencana dan memiliki unsur pembentukan teks prosedur. Selanjutnya, bentuk pengintegrasian pendidikan mitigasi bencana berbasis kearifan Lokal Suku Sasak dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas XI SMA dengan cara menjadikannya sebagai bahan literasi. Adapun kriteria pendukung kearifan lokal Suku Sasak dapat dijadikan literasi mitigasi bencana yaitu 1) Kearifan lokal suku Sasak diwariskan secara turun temurun dari lisan ke lisan. 2) Pengembangan literasi baca tulis mitigasi bencana berbasis kearifan lokal Suku Sasak memiliki prinsip responsif dan adaftif. 3) Struktur kearifan lokal Suku Sasak berbasis mitigasi bencana memiliki relevansi dengan struktur dalam teks prosedur, dan 4) Kearifan lokal suku Sasak mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan mitigasi bencana. Masyarakat Suku Sasak di Lombok memiliki kearifan lokal yang mampu menciptakan harmonisasi antara satu makhluk dengan makhluk yang lain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola komunikasi publik dalam mengedukasi penerapan protokol kesehatan Covid-19 pada simulasi pembelajaran tatap muka di MAN 1 Lombok Timur. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian yakni kepala madrasah, stekholder terkait dan guru MAN 1 Lombok Timur yang melakukan edukasi penerapan protokol kesehatan Covid-19 selama masa simulasi pembelajaran tatap muka. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yakni sebagai berikut: 1) Dalam melakukan komunikasi publik kepala MAN 1 Lombok Timur menggunakan surat edaran dan pembuatan poster yang disebarkan kepada siswa dan dipasang di setiap sudut bangunan madrasah. 2) Komunikator yang terlibat dalam pengedukasian Penerapan Protokol kesehatan Covid-19 yakni kepala madrasah, dinas kesehatan, Sat Polpp, dan guru guna memberikan informasi yang konsisten dan jelas. 3) Komunikasi publik juga dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan media sosial seperti gurp whatsapp siswa dan facebook. 4) Hambatan yang ditemukan dalam komunikasi publik di MAN 1 Lombok Timur selama simulasi pembelajaran tatap muka yakni banyak siswa tidak membaca informasi yang diinfokan melalui surat edaran. Komunikasi interpersonal siswa dengan siswa yang lain dapat menganggu informasi yang diberikan secara publik oleh kepala madrasah, dinas kesehatan, dan satpolpp. 5) Pengetahuan siswa MAN 1 Lombok Timur tentang protokol kesehatan Covid-19 lebih banyak didapatkan dari masyarakat sekitar sehingga sosialisasi yang diberikan di madrasah hanya berfungsi sebagai penguat dan penegas namun memberikan efek kognitif, afektif, dan konatif sehingga membantu siswa untuk memiliki sikap patuh terhadap protokol kesehatan Covid-19.
