Abstract

This article discusses the reconstruction of one of the fundamental concepts in ‘ulumul Qur’an, namely the theory of nasikh-mansukh, which has long been regarded by some classical scholars as definitive and unchanging. One of the figures undertaking this reconstruction is Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd. Nasr Hamid’s reconstruction of the concept of nasikh-mansukh is a response to the ongoing debate between groups that accept and those that reject the existence of nasikh-mansukh in the Qur’an. According to Nasr Hamid, one of the factors causing this debate is the interpretation of naskh as the abrogation or cancellation of a verse. For Nasr Hamid, such a meaning fails to reflect the universal nature of the Qur’an. The primary focus of the concept of naskh-mansukh, which also serves as a determining variable, as proposed by Nasr Hamid, lies in the aspect of context (siyaq). He argues that in determining which verses are naskh and which are mansukh, one should not rely on the chronological order of the verses’ revelation, but must instead consider the contextual analysis of the situation in which the verse was revealed. This is based on the assumption that every verse of the Qur’an was revealed within a socio-cultural context relevant to the needs of society at that time. Therefore, he interprets naskh not as abrogation or revocation, but rather as the replacement (ibdal) of one verse with another, which occurs due to changes in circumstances and conditions that cause the application of that verse to be temporarily suspended until it is reintroduced in accordance with the prevailing conditions.

Abstract

Cavitation is a major issue in centrifugal pumps because it impacts their performance and efficiency. Experimental research was conducted to investigate the effect of the number of impeller blades and mass flow rate on the cavitation phenomenon in centrifugal pumps, as well as to characterize them. The Ebara brand centrifugal pump type 65x50 FSS4JA used in the TCU installation of the Casting Machine has a number of blades of 4 and 6 with a fixed inclination angle of 60° as the object of research. The fluid mass flow rate varies with values of 1.67 kg/s, 3.33 kg/s, 5.67 kg/s, and 7.33 kg/s. The research findings show that the highest cavitation occurs in the centrifugal pump with 4 blades, with an NPSH value reaching 2.02 at a mass flow rate of 5.67 kg/s, while the lowest value is found in the pump with 6 blades with an NPSH of 1.88 at a mass flow rate of 7.33 kg/s. A 6-blade centrifugal pump operating at a mass flow rate of 7.33 kg/s demonstrated the best results in this study and is feasible for field application. Keywords: Impeller, Cavitation, Pump, Centrifugal.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between secular governance systems and epistemic sovereignty in Islamic education, with particular relevance to contemporary science education. Regulatory frameworks such as accreditation, credential hierarchies, and performance standards are often treated as neutral, yet they shape how knowledge and authority are legitimised. Studies on Islamic education mainly focus on institutional adaptation, with limited attention to how these frameworks transform the epistemological basis of knowledge legitimacy. Using a qualitative library-based approach, this study draws on sociology of knowledge, institutional theory, and Islamic intellectual tradition to analyse the impact of secular standardisation on epistemic authority. The findings indicate that the primary challenge facing Islamic education is not institutional marginalisation but normative relocation, where externally codified benchmarks increasingly define legitimacy. Consequently, internally grounded criteria—such as textual continuity, interpretive discipline, scholarly lineage, and ethical formation—risk losing epistemic primacy. This dynamic is particularly evident in science education, where empirical validation and standardised assessment dominate knowledge evaluation. To address this challenge, the study proposes a normative–integrative framework based on the concept of negotiated primacy. This framework enables Islamic educational institutions to engage with secular governance systems while maintaining the hierarchical primacy of their internal epistemological foundations. The study contributes to broader debates on education, governance, and knowledge by conceptualising epistemic sovereignty as a dynamic and reflexive institutional practice in contemporary educational systems.

Abstract

Financial management is a key factor in determining the quality of a company's financial performance amidst increasingly complex business competition dynamics. This study aims to analyze the role of financial management in optimizing a company's financial performance through planning, cost control, investment management, risk management, and financial transparency. The study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method based on literature studies from various scientific sources and empirical reports. The results show that companies that implement financial management systematically are able to improve operational efficiency, maintain cash flow stability, and increase profitability and company value. Furthermore, financial transparency and accountability have been proven to strengthen investor confidence and expand access to funding. The discussion emphasizes that integration between financial management functions is a determining factor in creating optimal and sustainable financial performance. In conclusion, effective and integrated financial management plays a strategic role in improving a company's financial performance, so it needs to be implemented consistently and adaptively to changes in the business environment.
