Abstract

Stunting sering dijumpai pada anak usia 12-36 bulan, anak yang mengalami stunting pada masa ini cenderung akan sulit mencapai tinggi badan yang optimal pada periode selanjutnya. Untuk mencegah terjadinya stunting pada anak, ibu perlu mengonsumsi asupan gizi yang layak, dan memiliki pengetahuan gizi yang baik.  Upaya perbaikan stunting dapat dilakukan dengan peningkatan pengetahuan sehingga dapat memperbaiki perilaku pemberian makan pada anak. Tujuan kegiatan adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu balita mengenai pemanfaatan daun kelor (Moringa Oleifera) sebagai kudapan untuk mencegah masalah stunting. Metode melalui penyuluhan (pemaparan melalui ceramah secara langsung) dan pengisian kuesioner pre-post test untuk mengetahui dan menilai tingkat keberhasilan penyuluhan yang dilakukan. Didapatkan hasil rata-rata skor pengetahuan sebelum penyuluhan termasuk dalam kategori baik (nilai ≥80) sebanyak 13,5%, dan pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 86,5%. Setelah penyuluhan didapatkan skor pengetahuan baik sebanyak 54,1% dan kurang sebanyak 45,9%. Kesimpulannya terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan sesudah diberikan penyuluhan tentang stunting dan kudapan dari daun kelor.

Abstract

Background: Hypercholesterolemic as an indicator of cardiovascular disease is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in the world. Increased oxidative stress in hypercholesterolemic triggers lipid peroxidation effect directly on the cell membrane damage and initiate various diseases. The use of natural materials with relatively few side effects is an hypercholesterolemic management alternative. Experimental studies showed that Alfalfa leaf extract had an effective antioxidant activity.Objective: To determine the effect of Alfalfa leaf extract on serum lipids and malondialdehyde (MDA) level of hypercholesterolemic rats.Method: Pre-posttest randomized control group used twenty-eight male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups, hypercholesterolemic without treatment (control), hypercholesterolemic with extract at dose 20 mg/200 g/d (X1), dose 40 mg/200 g/d (X2), dose 60 mg/200 g/d (X3) for 21 days after the rats got hypercholesterolemic. Serum lipid was measured by CHOD-PAP method and level of MDA plasma was measured by TBARS method. A hypothesis test was analyzed by One Way ANOVA continued by Post hoc LSD test.Results: Alfalfa extract significant decrease in serum total cholesterol (114.18±3.0 mg/dl; p<0.001). LDL cholesterol level was the lowest in group X3 (45.26±6.03 mg/dL; p<0.001), and triglycerides level was the lowest in group X3 (77.33±2.69 mg/dL; p<0.001). There were no differences in MDA plasma level was the lowest in the group X3 (2.07±0.09 nmol/ml; p<0.001) and a significant increase in serum HDL cholesterol (43.21±7.80 mg/dL; p<0.001).Conclusion: The treatment of Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) leaf extract gives an effect of lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, MDA and gives an effect higher HDL cholesterol.

Abstract

Background: In the lifestyle shift in Indonesian society, consumption patterns are high in calories, high in simple sugars, and low in fiber and not balanced with sufficient physical activity. Nutrition education can prevent the increasing prevalence of obesity and overweight. An approach to the client is needed in solving problems to change the pattern of life to be healthier and better. Students in Elementary schools tend to prefer illustration books in realistic or cartoon form. Comics have an excellent visual media function in helping to increase knowledge of balanced nutrition, and it is hoped that this will influence the behavior of balanced nutrition. The purpose is to determine the effect of providing comic education Fill My Plate on the energy of elementary school children with excess nutritional status. Methods: This quasi-experimental study involved 60 students who were divided into treatment groups by providing education on comics Fill My Plate and a control group giving education without comics Fill My Plate energy data analysis in both groups using paired t-test. Research Result: The results showed an influence between the energy before and after giving education on comics Fill My Plate in the treatment group (P = 0.000), while the control group had no effect (p = 0.897). Conclusion: Providing education using comics Fill My Plate affected reducing energy in elementary school students who have more nutritional status.

Abstract

Background. Hypertension is a degenerative disease that is the leading cause of death globally. Handling hypertension can be done by giving the DASH diet. In this case, this study provides an interlude to the DASH diet. Research Methods. This study uses a quasi-experiment (pre-test-post-test control group design). The study subjects consisted of two groups: the treatment group with the administration of the DASH diet interlude and the control group. Research Result. Most of the subjects in this study were elderly 70-74 years (33.3%) in the treatment and 75-80 years (50%) in control. The research subjects were primarily female, with 27 elderly (75%). The mean blood pressure in both groups before the intervention was higher than the mean blood pressure after the intervention. The analysis of the two groups' different tests showed no difference in systolic and diastolic blood pressure before the intervention. However, there were differences in systolic and diastolic blood pressure after the intervention. Furthermore, giving a DASH diet interlude affected Systolic blood pressure (p=0.000) and Diastolic blood pressure (p=0.034) after the DASH diet snack was provided.  Conclusion. There is an effect of giving the DASH diet interlude on blood pressure after giving the DASH diet snack.

Abstract

Background. Many sufferers do not know if they have hypertension because they are often without complaints, so this disease is called the silent killer. However, hypertension is essential in therapy because it can cause complications in vital organs. Prevention and treatment of hypertension recommend lifestyle modifications such as increasing the intake of vegetables and fruit. Watermelon and tomatoes are fruits that are often found in NTB Province. The fruit can be used as an alternative prevention and treatment of hypertension. Research Methods. This research is a quasi-experimental type of research. The sample came from the UPTD Puskesmas Babakan, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara. The juice intervention was given for ten consecutive days, once per day, in the afternoon, as much as 200 ml from 200 g watermelon and 100 g tomatoes. The results were analyzed using paired t-test. Research Result. In the treatment group, the decrease in systolic blood pressure was 18.3 mmHg, and the reduction in diastolic was 11.4 mmHg.While the difference in the decline in the control group for systolic was 4.75 mmHg, and the diastolic level in the control group had an increase of 5.4 mmHg.  Conclusion. There is an effect of decreasing systolic and diastolic blood pressure after being given the spirit juice (watermelon) intervention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of nutrition education to the attitudes and fiber intake of overweigt children. This was a quasi experimental study with control group using pretest and posttest design involving 60 students that were taken by simple random sampling technique. The subjects were divided into two groups, the first group was given education with comic Isi Piringku and the second group was given education without comic Isi Piringku. The attitude data were measured using an attitude assessment questionnaire. Fiber intake data uses the 2x24 hour food recall method. The attitudes and fiber intake data in two groups were then analyzed by paired T-test. The result showed that the highest attitudes enhancement occurred in the treatment group with a delta of 4.3 points, while the control group was 2.4 points. The average fiber intake before treatment was 11.56 gram and increased to 15 gram after given education using comic Isi Piringku. The results showed that there were significant differences in the enhancement of attitudes and fiber intake before and after nutrition education between the control group and the treatment group with p-value 0.05. Nutrition education using comic Isi Piringku has been proven to be effective in improving children's attitudes and fiber intake. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian edukasi gizi dengan media komik isi piringku terhadap sikap dan asupan serat pada anak gizi lebih. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experiment dengan control group pretest-posttest. Subjek diambil dengan simple random sampling sebanyak 60 siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok dengan edukasi komik isi piringku dan kelompok edukasi tanpa komik isi piringku. Data sikap diukur dengan menggunakan kuesioner Data asupan serat diukur dengan menggunakan metode food recall 2x24 jam. Analisis data sikap dan asupan serat pada kedua kelompok diuji menggunakan uji paired T-test. Hasil analisis menunjukan terdapat peningkatan sikap paling tinggi terjadi pada kelompok perlakuan dengan delta 4,3 poin, sedangkan kelompok kontrol sebesar 2,4 poin. Rata-rata asupan serat sebelum perlakuan sebesar 11,56 gram dan mengalami peningkatan setelah pemberian edukasi komik sebesar 15 gram. Hasil uji beda menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna pada peningkatan sikap dan asupan serat sebelum dan sesudah pemberian edukasi gizi antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan (p 0,05). Pendidikan gizi dengan media komik isi piringku terbukti efektif memperbaiki sikap dan asupan serat anak.

Abstract

Pergeseran life style yang terjadi pada masyarakat Indonesia, pola konsumsi tiggi kalori, tinggi gula sederhana dan rendah serat serta tidak diimbangi dengan aktivitas fisik yang cukup. Edukasi gizi dapat diterapkan untuk mencegah peningkatan prevalensi obesitas dan overweight. Pendekatan pada klien diperlukan dalam rangka pemecahan masalah untuk mengubah pola hidup menjadi lebih sehat dan lebih baik. Siswa usia sekolah dasar cenderung menyukai buku bergambar dalam bentuk realistis atau kartun. Komik memiliki fungsi media visual yang baik dalam membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi seimbang dan diharapkan akan berpengaruh kepada perilaku gizi seimbang. Tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian edukasi komik isi piringku terhadap energi pada anak sekolah dasar dengan status gizi lebih. Penelitian quasi eksperiment ini melibatkan 60 siswa yang dibagi menjadi kelompok perlakuan dengan pemberian edukasi komik isi piringku dan kelompok kontrol pemberian edukasi tanpa komik isi piringku. Analisis data energi pada kedua kelompok menggunakan uji paired t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara energi sebelum dan sesudah pemberian edukasi komik isi piringku pada kelompok perlakuan (P=0,000), sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol tidak memiliki pengaruh (p = 0.897). Kesimpulan adalah pemberian edukasi menggunakan komik isi piringku berpengaruh menurunkan energi pada siswa sekolah dasar yang memiliki status gizi lebih. Abstract

Latar Belakang: Indonesia merupakan negara dengan penderita Diabetes Mellitus (DM) terbanyak ke 6 di dunia dimana jumlah penderita DM mencapai 10,3 juta jiwa. Penatalaksanaan DM meliputi edukasi, farmakologi, terapi gizi medis (TGM). Penerapan TGM dilakukan melalui langkah-langkah terstandar yaitu Proses Asuhan Gizi Terstandar (PAGT). Tujuan : untuk mengetahui gambaran penatalaksanaan proses asuhan gizi terstandar pada pasien DM tipe 2. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini menggunakan observasional deskriptif dengan desain case study yang menggambarkan pelaksanaan proses asuhan gizi terstandar oleh rumah sakit terhadap pasien DM tipe 2. Hasil Penelitian: Dilihat dari proses pengkajian gizi, diperoleh hasil bahwa pasien sering mengkomsumsi kopi dengan tambahan gula yaitu sebanyak 2 kali dalam sehari, ditunjang dengan hasil laboratorium menunjukkan kadar gula darah puasa dan glukosa sewaktu tinggi, berdasarkan fisik/klinis menunjukkan tekanan darah dan suhu pasien tinggi. Hasil diagnosis gizi menunjukkan asupan oral tidak adekuat dan terdapat perubahan hasil nilai laboratorium terkait nilai gizi berkaitan dengan penyakit hiperglikemia DM tipe 2. Intervensi yang diberikan yaitu pemberian Diet DM dengan prinsip 3 J (tepat jadual, jenis dan jumlah), serta pemberian konseling gizi. Hasil monitoring dan evaluasi yang dilakukan selama 3 hari menunjukkan asupan meningkat dan hasil pengukuran tekanan darah dan suhu normal. Kesimpulan: Pasien DM Tipe 2 telah dilakukan proses asuhan gizi terstandar sesuai dengan empat langkah yakni pengkajian, diagnosis gizi, intervensi dan monitoring evaluasi gizi.

Abstract

Background: Hospital nutrition services are an essential part of the entire service system for hospital patients. Nutrition consultation is a vital nutrition service because everyone has different problems. Quality nutrition consultation can also increase the effectiveness and efficiency of resources and provide patient satisfaction.Research Methods: This type of observational research with a cross-sectional design. The subjects used in the study were 34 patients in the inpatient room of Mataram City Hospital. The data collected in this study are all nutrition consulting services which include: the counselor's appearance, media, material, time, and place. The collected data is then processed by editing and coding manually, then tabulated from the answer scores obtained using a presentation table in the form of a diagram or table. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis.Research Result: This study illustrates patient satisfaction with nutrition consultations conducted by nutritionists. The aspects assessed are reliability, responsiveness, assurance, attention, and evidence. Regarding reliability, the dominant value is satisfaction in nutrition officers providing services in a thorough and timely manner (64.71%). The responsiveness aspect illustrates the principal value of pleasure with being very satisfied with the nutrition officer who always takes the time to listen to patient complaints (55.88%). The aspect of guaranteeing the dominant value of the nutrition officer is acting politely and being friendly (61.8%). The attention aspect illustrates the principal value of nutrition officers willing to respond to patient complaints in a friendly manner regarding nutrition counseling provided with a delighted level (61.8%). In the aspect of the evidence, the dominant value of the nutrition officer item is the result of consultation with patients (leaflet/showing the effects of counseling) with a delighted level (58.8%).Conclusion: This study illustrates patient satisfaction with nutrition consultations conducted by nutritionists. The aspects assessed are reliability, responsiveness, assurance, attention, and evidence.

Abstract

Gout is a disease caused by the accumulation of monosodium urate crystals in the body and disturbances in purine metabolism. Gout is caused by two main factors, namely inadequate excretion of uric acid from the kidneys and increased production of uric acid in the body due to purine metabolism disorders. Management of gout can be carried out non-pharmacologically, namely by increasing the consumption of foods that are high in vitamin C and fiber and antioxidants such as red guava and tomatoes.  To determine the effect of giving red guava (Psidium guajava Linn) and tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) mixed juice on uric acid levels in hyperuricemia patients in outpatient care in the working area of ​​the Langgudu Health Center. This research is a Quasy eksperimental research. The sampel came from the Langgudu District, Bima Regency. Juice intervention was given for seven consecutive days, once per day, in the morning as much as 350 ml of 200 grams of red guava, 50 grams tomato dan 100 ml of mineral water. The results were analyzed using the paired t-test. in the treatment group there was a decrease in uric acid levels of 1,3 mg/dl. Mean while, the difference in decreased uric acid levels in the group was 0,7 mg/dl. There was an effect of decreasing uric acid levels after being given a mixed guava juice intervention red seeds and tomatoes in hyperuricemia patients in the working area of the Langgudu Publik Health Center.   Asam urat merupakan suatu penyakit yang diakibatkan karena penimbunan kristal monosodium urat di dalam tubuh dan adanya gangguan metabolisme pada purin. Penatalaksanaan asam urat dapat dilakukan secara non farmakologi yaitu dengan cara meningkatkan konsumsi makanan yang tinggi vitamin C dan serat serta antioksidan seperti buah jambu biji merah dan buah tomat maka dari itu peneliti ingin membuat jus campuran jambu biji merah dan buah tomat yang tinggi vitamin C. Mengetahui pengaruh pemberian juice campuran jambu biji merah (Psidium guajava Linn) dan buah Tomat (Solanum lycopersicum) terhadap kadar asam urat pasien hiperurisemia pada pasien rawat jalan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Langgudu, Kabupaten Bima, NTB. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Quasy eksperimental. Sampel berasal dari Puskesmas Langgudu berjumlah 20 sampel. Sampel dibedakan menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol. Intervensi jus diberikan selama tujuh hari berturut – turut, satu kali pemberian perhari, diberikan pada pagi hari sebanyak 350 ml dari 200 gram jambu biji merah, 50 gram tomat dan 100 ml air mineral. Analisis data menggunakan uji t-berpasangan. Hasil penelitian bahwa pada kelompok perlakuan terjadi penurunan kadar asam urat sebesar 1,3 mg/dl. Sedangkan selisih penurunan kadar asam urat pada kelompok kontrol sebesar 0,7 mg/dl.  Terdapat pengaruh penurunan kadar asam urat setelah diberikan intervensi jus campuran jambu biji merah dan buah tomat pada pasien hiperurisemia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Langgudu.
