Abstract

This research aims to find out how Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness influence the Behavioral Intention of Prospective Economics Teachers to Use Gamification Tools in their future teaching. This research uses a sample of 200 students from the State University in East Java. The analysis technique used in this research is Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis using SmartPLS software version 4.0. The results of this research indicate that there is a significant influence between Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness on the Behavioral Intention of Prospective Economics Teachers. These results prove that the two exogenous variables influence prospective teacher students' interest in using gamification tools.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of academic self-efficacy on the academic achievement in economics of grade X and XI students at SMAN 1 Balen in the subject of economics. This study employs a quantitative method with an ex post facto approach. The population used in this study consists of grade X and XI students who take economics classes. The sample size for this study was determined using the Slovin formula with a 5% error rate, resulting in 172 students. The instrument in this study uses a questionnaire statement with a Likert scale to measure the academic self-efficacy variable (X) and academic achievement, which can be seen from the odd semester's Final Summative Assessment (SAS) scores for the 2023/2024 academic year. Data analysis in this study uses simple linear regression analysis by examining the t-test and significance value. Several stages are conducted in this study, including the validity and reliability tests of the statement items, classical assumption tests (normality and linearity tests), and the t-test. The results of this study indicate that the academic self-efficacy variable (X) has a positive effect on the academic achievement in economics of grade X and XI students at SMAN 1 Balen, as shown by the calculated t-value of 8.156, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.973, or a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The influence of academic self-efficacy on academic achievement in economics is quite strong at 53%, while the remaining 47% is influenced by other independent variables. The higher the academic self-efficacy possessed by the students, the higher the academic achievement in economics they will attain, and conversely, if the students' academic self-efficacy is low, their academic achievement in economics will also be low.

Abstract

Based on preliminary observations made by researchers at the three locations of SMAN which have the status of driving schools in Gresik Regency, it shows that there are problems in the economics learning outcomes on national income material in class XI. This information can be seen in the values of TP 2 in the national income material for several students who scored under the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), where there is a minimum score of 75. This study aims to analyze the joint effect of kinesthetic learning styles and student perceptions regarding the variance of the interactional teacher's teaching style on the learning outcomes of students on national income material in driving schools. The population of 3 SMANs with the status of driving schools in Gresik Regency was 432 and then a simple random sampling technique was carried out. The sample used in this study were 144 students using explanatory quantitative methods and using tests, hypotheses, classical assumptions, multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of data processing, the coefficient of determination (R-squared) is 0.94. Thus, it can be concluded that the combined influence of variables X1 and X2 on variable Y is 94%, while 6% is caused by the influence of other variables. Thus it is expected that schools will pay attention to each student's learning style and conduct teacher training to improve the ability of teachers to teach variations so that student learning outcomes are optimal

Abstract

This study aims to explain the influence of entrepreneurial competence, entrepreneurial motivation, and social environment on interest in entrepreneurship. This research uses a sample of 139 XI IPS students with a quantitative method and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis, assisted by WarpPLS Version 7.0 software. The results show that entrepreneurial motivation has a significant effect on interest in entrepreneurship of 39.7%. Therefore, it is hoped that schools can pay attention to increasing entrepreneurial motivation in order to enhance students' interest in entrepreneurship. Support for entrepreneurial motivation can be done through several means, including providing contextual learning about entrepreneurship, developing entrepreneurship into extracurricular activities, and utilizing the school's social environment located in industrial areas for industrial visits.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menelaah sejauh mana penggunaan ChatGPT dan pengaruh konformitas teman sebaya berdampak pada kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) dalam konteks pembelajaran ekonomi. Melalui pendekatan kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan dari 500 responden di Surabaya menggunakan instrumen survei yang mengukur intensitas interaksi dengan ChatGPT, tingkat konformitas sosial, serta kemampuan berpikir kritis. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling berbasis Partial Least Squares (SmartPLS). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel independen memiliki kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan pola pikir kritis, dengan pengaruh teknologi berbasis kecerdasan buatan menunjukkan dominasi positif yang lebih kuat dibanding faktor sosial. Studi ini mengisi celah literatur pada ranah interseksi antara teknologi AI dan dinamika sosial dalam pendidikan ekonomi tingkat sekolah menengah, yang sebelumnya belum banyak diteliti secara empiris. Secara teoritis, penelitian ini memperluas pemahaman mengenai peran AI sebagai katalis kognitif dalam model pembelajaran modern, sedangkan secara praktis, temuan ini mendorong pemanfaatan ChatGPT secara strategis dan reflektif sebagai alat bantu belajar yang mendukung kemandirian intelektual siswa.

Abstract

In education, digital transformation is accompanied by the need for new teaching media innovations to address the challenges of inadequate technical skills among accounting education students, particularly regarding the use of spreadsheets for financial statement preparation. This study aims to develop class multimedia textbooks in the form of spreadsheets integrated with QR Code videos and test their validity, practicality, and effectiveness in enhancing student understanding and skills. This utilizes a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The product was developed with text and visualization, supplemented by video tutorials accessed through QR Codes to enrich the learning experience. The textbooks were determined to have a very high level of purported validity through expert validation. Significant classroom implementation showed strong positive effects on student learning outcomes alongside positive perceptions toward ease of use and effectiveness. This research enriches the literature on the development of technological learning media in accounting education and demonstrates innovation in integrating print and digital media. Furthermore, this innovation supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which aims for high-quality, inclusive, and adaptable education in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of economic literacy and consumer perception on consumer behavior of high school students in Madiun Regency. This study involved 215 respondents from 10 high schools in Madiun Regency, especially grade XI students of economics courses. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires distributed using Google Forms, while data analysis was carried out with the help of Statistical Package For The Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The results of this study indicate that economic literacy has a positive and significant effect on student consumer behavior, while consumer perception has a negative and significant effect on student consumer behavior.

Abstract

Tingkat gaya hidup konsumtif di indonesia masih cukup besar sehingga kesejahteraan keuangan yang dirasakan masyarakat belum dapat tercapai. Pada kenyataan rendahnya kemampuan mengatur keuangan di kalangan mahasiswa ini menjadi latar belakang penting dalam penelitian ini, khususnya di era digitalisasi keuangan yang sudah berkembang. Untuk terus meningkatkan kesejahteraan keuangan pada mahasiswa, maka diperlukan adanya faktor yang menjadi perantara tindakan dan perilaku dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan keuangan antara lain pemahaman literasi ekonomi, financial technology, dan perilaku ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan mengenai pengaruh literasi ekonomi, financial technology terhadap kesejahteraan keuangan melalui perilaku ekonomi sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel 208 mahasiswa aktif angkatan 2021 dari empat perguruan tinggi negeri di Kota Surabaya (UNESA, UNAIR, UPNVJT, dan UINSA) dengan metode penelitian asosiatif pendekatan kuantitatif serta Instrumen utama untuk pengumpulan data adalah observasi serta kuesioner. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak Smart Partial Least Square (SmartPLS), meliputi uji model eksternal dan internal serta pengujian hipotesis. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa baik Literasi Ekonomi maupun Financial Technology secara langsung meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Keuangan. Selain itu, variabel-variabel ini juga berdampak pada Perilaku Ekonomi, yang berperan sebagai penguhubung atau memediasi dalam hubungan dengan kesejahteraan keuangan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini membuktikan adanya pengaruh langsung dan mediasi dari Literasi Ekonomi dan Financial Technology terhadap Kesejahteraan Keuangan dalam konteks Generasi Z Mahasiswa Negeri di Kota Surabaya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya keyakinan diri siswa dalam mencapai prestasi akademik yang optimal, terutama dalam pembelajaran ekonomi. Self efficacy memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk keterlibatan pembelajaran yang pada akhirnya dapat memengaruhi prestasi akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh self efficacy terhadap prestasi akademik dengan economic learning engagement sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di 13 SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Sidoarjo, sampel penelitian sebanyak 284 siswa kelas XI yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan bantuan software SmartPLS 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self efficacy berpengaruh positif terhadap prestasi akademik, self efficacy berpengaruh positif terhadap economic learning engagement, economic learning engagement berpengaruh terhadap prestasi akademik, sehingga economic learning engagement bisa menjadi variabel mediasi dalam hubungan self efficacy dan prestasi akademik.

Abstract

Surabaya is the second-largest city in Indonesia. There is great hope for prospective teachers in Surabaya to have high credibility because their salaries are equivalent to the City Minimum Wage. The salary is the largest when compared to other cities in East Java province. The favorite field of science in social science is economics. However, to determine the basic economic knowledge that students will have in schools properly, it is the economics teacher who plays a big role. So it is necessary to research economic knowledge for prospective economics teachers before they become actual teachers. This study aims to determine how deep the basic knowledge of economics is in students of the Economic Education study program in Surabaya, where they are prospective economics teachers. This research method applies descriptive statistical methods. The survey was conducted on 338 students who are prospective economics teachers. There are only two Economic Education study programs in Surabaya, namely the State University of Surabaya (Unesa) and the IKIP Widya Darma Surabaya (IWIDA). All populations in this study were used as samples. The results showed that Unesa was indeed superior in understanding basic economics. The most important implication is that Unesa needs to pay special attention to prospective economic teachers who are female, come from private schools, come from outside the city of Surabaya, and come from SMK. Meanwhile, IWIDA needs to pay special attention to prospective economic teachers who are female, come from private schools, come from Surabaya, and come from MA.
